First off, I'd like to apologize for being absent for awhile. To be honest, it was super tough to watch Jeremy wait for that call that never came. Even during the playoffs, I'd watch and say Jeremy could have helped that team, and that team, and that team and.... Here is a list of some of the backup guards on all playoff teams:
Bucks: Jeff Teague (32), Bryn Forbes (27)
Suns: Cameron Payne (26), Langston Galloway (29)
Clips: Reggie Jackson (31), Rajon Rondo (35)
Hawks: Lou Williams (34), Brandon Goodwin (25)
Jazz: Jordan Clarkson (28), Matt Thomas (26)
Nuggets: Austin Rivers (28), Shaq Harrison (27)
Sixers: George Hill (35)
Nets: Tyler Johnson (29), Mike James (30)
Griz: Tim Frazier (30)
Mavs: Trey Burke (28)
Trailblazers: No backup PG
Lakers: Alex Caruso (27)
Knicks: Derrick Rose (32) eventually started
Heat: Goran Dragic (35) started a few games
Celtics: N/A
Wiz: Ish Smith (32)
Only a few of these names made more than even a minor impact in the playoffs. I'm so sure Jeremy could have made a significant impact on almost all of these playoff teams. His play during his G League stint was amazing and the best of his career. Shooting 51% 43% 88%, it was a joy to watch him play. From his pull up 3's, catch and shot, mid range elbow jumpers, to his floater game, he has put it all together. Jeremy had to make a decision for his future and he couldn't wait any longer. I'm just happy for him and his family and you can see the joy he has, being able to workout and play with his brothers. As he enters another chapter in his fairytale journey, we wish him nothing but the best, and continue to pray for him and his family. Happy 33rd Birthday Jeremy!
