Hawks @ Pacers Post Game Thread

After watching Luka Doncic lead the Mavs over the Warriors, I think it adds even more pressure on Trae. Everyone will be talking about how big a mistake the Hawks made trading Doncic for Trae. As I stated before the season, Trae is not a great shooter and that passing is his main strength. He is pressing and his teammates aren't helping him much. Luka is special and will no doubt be a superstar in this league. Trae will eventually be very good but it's gonna take him time and he'll have to get stronger and make much better decisions especially with his shot selection. Right now, Jeremy is showing that as he gets healthy, he is the much better player. I think that at some point soon, Jeremy will start as it will benefit Trae in the long run.

Jeremy starting to round into shape:

In 18 mpg per 36 min.:

20.6 points
5.9 assists

Here are some mind boggling comparison numbers:

Lin:

46.4% fg
38.1% 3pt
86.5% ft

Trae:

39.4% fg
24.2% 3pt
80.9% ft

Couple other things. As we stated before the game, John Collins is a different maker. Looks like he was on a minutes restriction but you can see how much of a difference he makes having him play in the first half and not having him in the 2nd...Hawks writers very silent on Jeremy's play vs Trae's. No surprise...So, Zach Lowe, doesn't Jeremy look like an NBA player now? How about Gordon Hayward not looking like a starting NBA player so far? Wouldn't this be better on your list of 10? Jeremy is averaging more points than Hayward who is starting! LOL!
