JeremyLin.Net:
How has Jeremy looked this summer?
Doc:
I've only seen Jeremy 5-6 times this summer because of his travel schedule and his desire to be back in Brooklyn and train there. My role is to keep his shot tuned and I'm pleased that it looks consistent and rhythmical. I'm really happy that he has a great feel for what he's doing and can self-assess and perform his shooting practice without external feedback. He just needs to let his body do the work and trust his mechanics. And i think that's what's taking place!
JeremyLin.Net:
Were there specific areas you focused on this summer?
Doc:
We continued to master the comfort level in all of the shooting situations. I like what i see.
JeremyLin.Net:
How do you like the Nets moves this summer?
Doc:
I like their additions and I think with the skill development emphasis that Kenny ascribes to in terms of continual improvement with the players he has will result in a successful year. Having Jeremy there to train with the guys is a huge boost to developing a cohesive unit that understands the importance of playing as one. in all levels of play , regardless of the age group....Effort wins, skill wins, Cohesion wins... And that's what the Nets are about.
JeremyLin.Net:
What's your prediction on number of wins this season? Playoffs?
Doc:
If everybody stays healthy I think they can win 35 games... Playoffs? We're talking playoffs? Playoffs? A possibility, but, everything must fall in place...
JeremyLin.Net:
How about a prediction on Jeremy's points and assist averages?
Doc:
I'm thinking 18 and 6-7.. The Nets are a ball moving team where the assists are spread out as compared to other teams whose point guard will possess the ball a higher number of minutes... or run a lot of pick and rolls.
