Before we dive into predicting how many games the Nets will win this season, lets take a closer look at the Nets young core.
First, I love to make player comparisons to get a feel for what this team could truly look like down the road. Realize that these are usually best case scenarios and I'm not saying they'll all be as good as their comps but that they have similar type games. Here goes.
RHJ Comps: MKG and Andre Iguodola. MKG like defender but MKG like shooter as well. Really strong rebounder at 9 per 36 min.. In summer league showed strong ball handling and playmaking skills ala Iggy. Elite defender who will be guarding Lebron, Melo, and the like. Can play 2, 3, and some 4. He is a lock to start on just his D and rebounding alone. Great slasher but if he can get his outside shot more consistent, watch out. Needs Doc to help him out.
Caris Levert Comp: Jamal Crawford with better shot selection and better D. Can get his own shot any time. Elite shooter who hit 40% of his 3's in college career. Great size at 6'7" and still filling out. Should be close to 200 lbs. by start of the season. If he can overcome his foot injury, this guy can be truly special. Plays D and hits the open man. Can play the 1, 2, and 3 but would be the perfect 2 guard to partner along side Jeremy with RHJ at the 3. Great attitude like the rest of the team. Very well spoken and humble. I absolutely love, just love him! on and off the court. This is one guy who could end up even better than his comp.
Trevor Booker Comps: Udonis Haslem, Tristan Thompson, Paul Milsap. High Motor, tough, athletic but a bit undersized at the 4 like his comps. Double double per 36 min. Great finisher who loves to dunk but can also step out and hit the open jumper. Really working hard on 3pt range this offseason. Can handle a little bit like Milsap and go by PF's but low usage unlike Milsap and that's a good thing. He'll be on the receiving end of many JLin Alley Oops this season for sure! Could be strong in pick and roll with JLin as well. If his 3 point shot improves this offseason, he'll definitely start at the 4.

Bojan Comps: Hedu Turkoglu, Luol Deng but without the D. Leading scorer for Croatia National team leading them to an Olympic berth. Had 44 pts in a game last season. Scores inside and out. 38% 3 pt shooter last season but D not so good. That's OK as the Nets will be playing great team D which will help keep him on the court. And they need him on the court as they'll need his scoring.
Sean Kilpatrick Comps: Vinnie "Microwave" Johnson, CJ McCollum without the great 3 pt shot. SK is a scorer and does it in many ways. Can always get his own shot. Takes and makes tough shots and is very efficient at 57% TS. Love him as instant offense off the bench ala the "Microwave'. Needs some work on D.
Chris McCollough Comps: Cliff Robinson of the Blazers (one of first stretch 4's), Chris Bosh. At 6'10" 210-215lbs, CM is long, athletic, and runs the court well. Has good range out to the 3 point line and blocks shots. Still super raw with a high ceiling. Should develop into a very good stretch 4 but just not sure how long it'll take.
Beau Beech Comp: Steve Novak. Little smaller but more athletic, however, not as great a knock down shooter as Jeremy's old side kick. A poor man's Steve Novak.
Let us know your best comps for these young Nets.
