Since the All-Star break JLin has been playing his best basketball since Linsanity. Jeremy's been just flat out balLin! Check out these numbers:
In 7 games
A plus minus of +40, by the way, Clarkson is -59, an amazing 99 point difference between the two.
per 36 minutes:
21.7 pts
7.6 asts
2.2 stls
6 to 1 assist to turnover ratio.
These numbers really don't even do him justice. He's playing at such an extremely high level right now. It doesn't matter that he isn't starting or even getting 30 minutes a game or that not one of his teammates is even at a starter level talent wise.
This is how I envisioned him playing when he first became a Rocket 3 years ago. But once James Harden arrived, everything changed. The Rockets never truly believed in him and never gave him a chance.
Just like in New York where it took injuries to Baron Davis, Mike Bibby, Carmelo Anthony, and Amare Stoudamire (personal leave) for Linsanity to explode, it took injury's to Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, Nick Young, and Ronnie Price for this opportunity to arise.
And once again, he is taking full advantage and his talent cannot be contained. Byron Scott is even letting him close out games. I feel confident that he'll get at least 10-15 starts to end the season. As tough as things have been this season and in his years with Houston, somehow someway things seem to be working out for the best for Jeremy Lin and I can't wait to watch it continue.
