Here is a quick snipet: What do you remember most about those times (referring to his Knicks days)? "I mean it was just so fun on the court when you talk about pure basketball moving the ball playing the right way"
and I loved the use of all of these "code" words that basically says I'm being held back again:
"LOT OF OBSTACLES" "BALL NOT IN MY HANDS" "USAGE RATE LIKE IN NEW YORK" "I VE BEEN ASKED TO WHERE A LOT OF DIFFERENT HATS" "WHAT EVER MINUTES WHAT EVER ROLE""CONTROLLING WHAT YOU CAN CONTROL"
and lets not forget about the reasons Jason Kidd got Scott fired from the Nets:
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1718853
"Scott's status was made even more tenuous by persistent reports that he lacked the support of Kidd, who berated Scott after an embarrassing 110-63 loss in Memphis on Dec. 13."
"Kidd, and forward Kenyon Martin, also took issue with Scott's coaching moves during last year's Finals, including how the coach used former Net Dikembe Mutombo against San Antonio and his reluctance to call for double teams on center/Finals MVP Tim Duncan.
In the series' decisive Game 6, the Spurs went on a 19-0 second-half run that ultimately finished New Jersey."
You can say what you want about Jason Kidd the person, but it sure seems like he can coach. It's clear now on why JKidd wanted BS out. He knew the guy was a horrible coach.
