Let's see ... Bev in to test this combo. Maybe we see Lin rest and then come back for 25/15. Not a bad day, even if he sits now but don't wanna lose this one and it got ugly there for a bit.
In this game at this point, with the Rox leading nicely, Lin an Beverley shouldn't be both out there (Beverley should in; Lin should take a break). But McHale-Sampson don't want the front office an fans to know that Lin really is better than Beverley, the the backup. You see, when the first time Beverley subbed for Lin (the last 3 minutes of the 1st period to the first 3 min of the 2nd period), the team cut the lead by 5 points.
Lin left the team at the end of 3r Q with the team leading by 16 points. Now with just 2 minutes left in the 4th Q, the Rockets are leading by JUST 5 POINTS !!!!! All WITH Beverley and NO Lin in the 4th (McHale didn't do it as a punishment for Lin this time though).
This season, Jeremy should have at least 20 games like this, if not for the inept coaching staff. Actually, every game could be like this for Jeremy Lin.
Rox should be beating sub 500 team handily like today with Jeremy at the helm.
The Magic would have a comeback if Lin was kept on the bench. McHell couldn't wait to let Beverly have his minutes. Garcia played so much better than Beverly.
I noticed that too -- he's feeling it! But he wants more. Probably annoyed at himself for missing jumpers he usually makes (0-4 on that mid-range J off a screen).
it's been a while since he was allowed to play towards the end of 3Q and free to make plays so he's a little giddy :D
McHale tried all kind of combination with Lin in this game. Going small with Bev, going with shooters (Delfino, Garcia), so far Lin-Asik connection is the best!
Question for posters. What is the reason why Jimmer is not playing well in NBA? Is it a lack of playing time, is he just a pure shooter and nothing more or is it a case of an organization not having confidence in him? Moreover, is he a player worth a look by Rockets? The reason I ask is because he could become a good player if given a chance, and I feel sorry for the guy for not being given a chance.
I haven't watched a lot of Jimmer in the NBA, only in college.
Perhaps he lacked the athleticism/speed like Jeremy to create his own shots? He struck me as a cold blooded shooter like JJ Redick who needed some time to adjust their game in the NBA.
He already has a double double, I really don't think going from 19 to 20 is that important. And every minute you're on the court you *could* get injured.
If they don't convert shots soon and keep shooting bricks and only use up 5 seconds of the 24 sec clock they're giving the opposition opportunity to come back.
I don't think he's even coaching at all. Just throw in 5 guys and let them go at it. If one makes a mistake not name Harden or Parsons, yank him and insert a new body in. Then repeat...
Damn.. I honestly hate games like this. When Lin plays well, he overdoes it so he ends up sitting out the fourth quarter. Really annoying... And I'm dead serious...
Here's the run I was talking about. They don't kill the clock so it gives the opportunity for the opposing team to get back if the Rockets can't convert on the offensive end.
McHale needs to slow it down now & tell his team to play solid Defense. No 3 pointers, just drive it in and get a foul. 3 pointers run the danger of fast breaks for the opposing team.
Beverly is challenged offensively. He is not a play maker...I think that is his biggest problem. His D in some ways is arguably better than Lin, but he's not better at anything else.
When Beverly is in the game, the team passes the ball ineffectively like a hot potato wing to wing but the defense is already locked into it so it's just a ton of useless passing around the perimeter leading to staleness.
This is so unnecessary - All McHale needed to do was to play Asik/Lin for about 4 mins in Q4, and this game would have been iced. This 2nd unit cannot beat any team. Let's see if McHale gets away with yet another blunder. I don't mind if he loses.
This just goes to show that it was Jeremy and Asik's superb play that created the huge lead -- not the Magic sucking. They're playing hard all night...but Jeremy is the difference.
The things they didn't do that lead to this comeback.
1. Didn't do any dribble drive penetration to get easy layup for the bigs 2. Kept shooting 3 pointers 3. Didn't kill the clock 4. Played horrible defense
McHale is the troll screwing things up for the Magic. What does he have to say in the postgame show. Benching Lin and Asik in situation like this is an insult; specially after their great performance.
Most CF members (and Im talking about the "old" members) are great. Many of them have been supporting and defending Lin since day one. If they criticise Lin they do it in a reasonable and respectfull way.
There are only a hand full of idiots who spread hatred. They make a lot of noise though. The hateful LOHs and the crazy LOFs make CF unbearable at times.
@willydilly, I agree, and I like going there after a game like this because the nutsos don't have much to say and the conversation is more fun, to enjoy a great game.
@Bamboo ... sure, it's legit, but he could have rested Asik and Lin for a few mins, run them hard for 3 mins, and left the 2nd unit to mop up. The thing is, the 2nd unit led by Bev has no shape (soccer talk). So, you end up playing garbage too early, and then it's all over. This time, we got lucky. 5 pts with 2 mins left is a close game.
Very true...but I'm glad the way things turned out.
That terrible finish PROVED that it was Lin (and Asik) playing great that caused the huge lead...not the Magic stinking it up. Jeremy looks even better now.
He keeps on shooting and the coach let him do it. Those shooting help the Magic back in the game. That's not good basketball. Nice inside game tonight. Why the hell you want to take the 3 in the fourth quarter with your poor shooting night?
What he did today, basically assuming the game was in hand by the end of the third quarter, is consistent with what he did last time, giving up on a winnable game in the fourth against Indiana.
McHale has a horrible sense of when a game is really "over," coming to too quick judgments about whether a game is won or lost.
Also, I think he pulled the starters early, in particularly Lin, because he still thinks Beverly is better/good as Lin, and so thought Beverly could keep the double-digit lead built by Lin, and then he would bring in Brooks for true garbage time.
Will this game finally get thru McHale's thick head that Beverly is simply nowhere near the point guard that Lin is?
Unfortunately, I had to take care of some errands so I just got back now and the game ended right when I tuned in. I'm gonna look for the highlights. Looked like Lin played to a draw with Udrih. Their stats are almost identical.
NO. No no no no no. Udrih did his damage when Lin was OUT in the 2nd and 4th. Boxscore stat-padding against the the 3rd string.
Jeremy was even better than his stat line. Got hosed on calls under the rim three times. Missed a half-court shot (counted as a FGA). Had a steal taken away as usual.
Lin dominated Udrih. Check out the score in the first quarter - 27 to 11, Houston. That's not Udrih playing Lin even. That's Lin shredding Udrih and making him look silly.
omg..this is the worst coach i have ever seem. with the lead down to less than 10 and you still let your 2nd units play. Magic almost turned the game around. what a dumb coach. Love JL, he play so good and let everyone involved in the game. Need a new coach who know the true value of JL.
Awesome game by Lin - basically with only one legit starter, Asik, he again dominated the game on both offense and defense.
The silver lining in McHale pulling his starters way too soon (Lin and Asik) is that this game clearly showed the contrast between Lin running the point and Beverly running the point. Beverly doesn't know how to read the defense and run the right offense based on that read.
Of course, all this awesome team play with Lin running the offense is going to go away when Carmelo - I mean Harden - comes back and McHale goes back to Hardenstickyball offense.
Rocket's wouldn't have the wins they do without Harden. Let's not forget that the Magic are a poor team. I know Harden doesn't do everything perfectly and sometimes doesn't pass enough, but the truth is that he makes the Rocket's a better team.
Bamboo, your comment is fine from a status quo standpoint, but really, Clips are a good team and HOU played them like Lin is capable of organizing. The past is the past, and now, the data is pretty clear - if Lin can drive point, people buy in, the Rox are fun to watch.
Dude what is your deal? Everytime I read your posts u are always playing devil's advocate. McHale was right benching starters, lets not forget harden when he didn't play at all. I think you are in love with ur voice as the voice if reason.. But really u sound like an annoying prick.
Are you kidding me? I will take a Lin-lead team over a Harden-lead team any day. I strongly believe that a Lin-lead Rox will have more wins. Unless McHale just screws up everything by his stupidity.
Solidz75, Harden is a top shooting guard in the league. I just try to be objective. I'm a Lin fan. A huge Lin fan: But that doesn't mean I'm blind, either.
This is what Lin's stats would look like if Harden weren't around. Close to 16 and 9 a game.
Magic respected Lin's dribble penetration; there were really no driving lanes for most of the game. (Spacing is worsened by Smith being in there also.) Lin eventually started shooting from outside because there was nothing else available.
What a great first three quarters of team basketball. First half was a clinic. JLin finding the opponent's weaknesses and exploiting them .... almost looked like it wasn't fair. Good point guard leadership. Also, first half there was great team defense. Great work not only by Lin but also Cisco Kid, Asik, and Smith.
Double double!
ReplyDeleteAsik returning the favor with long passs to LiN!
ReplyDeleteThis is great. Asik with two assists to Lin, both home run passes. McBail will not like that.
DeleteLOL Asik as Bill Walton :)
DeleteAlright, if you complain about Mchale this game or that Lin isn't getting credit by commentators this game, you sit in time out.
ReplyDeleteIt's McHell's fault.
ReplyDeleteHe let the magic have a chance by benching Lin.
True Linsanity!!! Assists and scoring!
ReplyDeleteJeremy 18pts/11asts with 3:50 left in 3Q!!!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing display of team bball.
ReplyDeleteAsik and Lin are dominating the game :)
ReplyDeleteAfter the half, the Rox game league pass unavailable "due to technical difficulty".... ugh.
ReplyDeleteYou guys too or not?
thankfully it was only temporary.
DeleteJeremy is 8-13 WITHOUT A SINGLE WHISTLE.
ReplyDeleteWhat other young PG could do that? Hammered twice...Jeremy doesn't flinch.
He got one whistle.
DeleteWhen Lin gets his game going, we're going to see Terence Jones or TRob.
ReplyDeleteLet's see ... Bev in to test this combo. Maybe we see Lin rest and then come back for 25/15. Not a bad day, even if he sits now but don't wanna lose this one and it got ugly there for a bit.
ReplyDeleteWhy Beverly?
DeleteAgain.
I want to see Brooks
DeleteIn this game at this point, with the Rox leading nicely, Lin an Beverley shouldn't be both out there (Beverley should in; Lin should take a break). Deleteawesome and fun game!
ReplyDeleteisn't it? Lin and Asik did great. Oh my, Garcia is fun to watch; he also has 3 blocks!
Deleteyou know what Harden, Carmelo, McHale, an Morey lovers will say: "it's just the lowly Magic that Lin was playing as a PG against". SMH.
Who needs Dwight Howard?
ReplyDeleteWe're having a better center.
McHale better not mess this one up.
ReplyDeleteI am shaking my head, watching this game.
ReplyDeleteThis season, Jeremy should have at least 20 games like this, if not for the inept coaching staff. Actually, every game could be like this for Jeremy Lin.
Rox should be beating sub 500 team handily like today with Jeremy at the helm.
Word!
Deleteword!
DeleteNo doubt, whydoubt :D
DeleteNo doubt. Let him control the pace of the game. Unstoppable. Hope Harden sits out the rest of the year.
DeleteWerd!
DeleteWord!
DeleteSince when you see Asik scored 22 points 18 rebounds.
ReplyDeleteIs it a record?
Lin's missing shots are actually assists.
ReplyDeleteI'm just kidding.
LOL, Lin pulling the stats shift with Bev in. He just cruises, Bev runs, and Lin gets scoring and assist ops. Nice one!
ReplyDeleteThe magic has not given up yet.
ReplyDeleteThey still outscore the Rox this quarter.
Man the min McHale turned Lin into a SG, the game slow down with Bev running the point. Ah
ReplyDeleteLin is just resting on the court. It's what Harden gets to do normally.
DeleteThe Magic would have a comeback if Lin was kept on the bench.
DeleteMcHell couldn't wait to let Beverly have his minutes.
Garcia played so much better than Beverly.
Yeah, it'd be nice if Jeremy could hit that mid-range jumper -- which he usually does -- but what a great game he's playing today on both ends.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it's not a 30pt blowout -- he needs the extra minutes and stat pads.
We have already had 4 players in double figure.
ReplyDeleteParson and Harden are out.
The Rox is having a party.
Smith must have lost his head getting his 5th
Lin wished to make off-balance buzzer beater then hung on the rim like a little kid :D
ReplyDeleteI noticed that too -- he's feeling it! But he wants more. Probably annoyed at himself for missing jumpers he usually makes (0-4 on that mid-range J off a screen).

ReplyDelete'Players not being given a chance' We have many of them.
DeleteAsk McFail what does he get out of it.
'He is a bad coach.' said Lawry
I think he's playing fine, but with so limited minutes. I think he's had a few 20 point games but he's not given much pt.
DeleteI haven't watched a lot of Jimmer in the NBA, only in college.
DeletePerhaps he lacked the athleticism/speed like Jeremy to create his own shots?
He struck me as a cold blooded shooter like JJ Redick who needed some time to adjust their game in the NBA.
I've watched Jimmer.
Deleteeb5attorney, I'll try to answer this question in another thread.
Lin was on pace for 25 and 10 as I predicted. 19 and 11 is not too shabby at all.
ReplyDeleteIt's great for 30 minutes and only 1 whistle out of 4 inside.
DeleteFor 3 quarters? Imagine 4 quarters? easily would have broken the 20 mark in points, possibly 14 assists.
DeleteStill can get it if they give him 4 more minds.
Deleteminds - mins.
DeleteMcHale is not going to let it happen.
DeleteHe will stop Lin from producing a record.
Just one more point for 20. McHale will probably try to screw him over. =)
ReplyDeleteHe already has a double double, I really don't think going from 19 to 20 is that important. And every minute you're on the court you *could* get injured.
DeleteI wouldn't mind the Magic cutting the lead to ~14 with 5 minutes left.
DeleteI'm sure that's what he had in mind.
DeleteTaking the fun out of the game.
Yup, well deserve rest. McH should play Brooks right about now.
DeleteThe Magic is still in the game.
ReplyDeleteWe're less than 20 points ahead with almost a whole quarter.
McHale is McHell by benching Lin again.
I disagree
DeleteLin and Asik were awesome tonight! Now Id like to see what Ohlbrecht is capable of.
ReplyDeleteDamn please play James Anderson more. He's super explosive!
ReplyDeleteMcHell can't wait to show his point
ReplyDelete"Our 2nd team is better than the first team"
You have been ranting and raving all night. Chill out man!
DeleteHow about slowing the game down coach and burn some clock.
ReplyDeleteRun some set plays (if you have any LOL)
They can't play that way. This is the only way the Rox knows how to play..
DeleteIf they don't convert shots soon and keep shooting bricks and only use up 5 seconds of the 24 sec clock they're giving the opposition opportunity to come back.
DeleteI don't think he's even coaching at all. Just throw in 5 guys and let them go at it. If one makes a mistake not name Harden or Parsons, yank him and insert a new body in. Then repeat...
DeleteDeAleck at CF 8-8 in calling the win/loss. Wonder how far he'll go. Sure, this one was easy, but this adds to the fun.
ReplyDeleteWe're outrebounding the Matic with Asik and Smith sitting on the bench.
ReplyDeleteIt's a crazy night.
Where da hell is chandler.. Diarrhea?
ReplyDeleteHarden poisoned his food :)
DeleteFood poisoning. Could mean stomach trouble, brown rain but could also be code for hangover :)
DeleteHe probably ate some of Delfino's sausage.
DeleteThe next game who'll get the poison.
DeleteLet's guess.
Too much Energy P. Bev...slow down...so you don't get that lane violation trying to get another rebound LOL...
ReplyDeleteAnderson's layup was spectacular. That doesn't suggest he's better than Harden, but that singular layup was pretty amazing.
ReplyDeleteIt only suggests that Harden has a good back-up who should be given a chance.
DeleteHarden didn't have to play 40+ mins a game.
Absolutely agree!
DeleteThe Magic is still fighting back.
ReplyDeleteYou gotta admire that.
Damn.. I honestly hate games like this. When Lin plays well, he overdoes it so he ends up sitting out the fourth quarter. Really annoying... And I'm dead serious...
ReplyDeleteLOL
Deletehaha you got that right
DeleteMcHell is in a jam.
ReplyDeleteHe can't put Lin back at this moment.
He wish he could.
He put in Garcia, right!
He put Smith in for the 6th
ReplyDeleteThat's majority of the starting lineup now.
ReplyDeleteMcHale is worrying.
Magic players don't have good 3 point shooters. It will be hard to get back in the game, the paint is clogged up.
ReplyDeleteJeremy & Asik having a good time on the bench.
ReplyDeleteMCHell's rotation is amazing.
ReplyDeleteHe let Garcia in to rest Beverly, then he puts Beverly back in.
I want to stone him.
Asik and Lin are laughing it up on the bench :D
ReplyDeleteCorrection, I think Asik (not Harden) poisoned Parsons to steal his buddy Lin :)
Damn, the Magic is almost back with Beverly playing.
ReplyDeleteHere's the run I was talking about. They don't kill the clock so it gives the opportunity for the opposing team to get back if the Rockets can't convert on the offensive end.
ReplyDeleteSee what did I tell you guys....
DeleteSeriously, McHale is no freaking coach. He's brain dead out there not knowing what to do.
DeleteIf we lose this game, hell will break loose.
ReplyDeleteOkay, let Lin and Asik ice it.
ReplyDeleteWth is McHale doing? Call a timeout or something
ReplyDeletewhat's McHale going to do with a timeout? draw up a play? hahahahahahahaha
Deleteoh pls mchale starter pls
ReplyDeleteTen points game with about 3 minutes.
ReplyDeleteMcHale is an incredible moron.
The positive thing is announcers recognized it.
Delete"The ball stopped moving!"
Making Lin look really good :)
Bev took a page from Harden to score a great layup :) stopping 9-0 Magic run!
ReplyDeleteMcHale needs to slow it down now & tell his team to play solid Defense. No 3 pointers, just drive it in and get a foul. 3 pointers run the danger of fast breaks for the opposing team.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Lead down... TOs up... Ohlbrecht wont get a chance to play tonight.
ReplyDeleteTAKE DMO OUT OF THE GAME...
ReplyDeleteSee who gets the last laugh
ReplyDeleteMcHale will be fired if we lost this game.
I'm kind of rooting for the Magic.
Beverley is in the wrong league.
ReplyDeleteHe's a D League player like Scott Machado, not a true NBA backup PG.
The guy just cannot hold the lead because he can't defend and can't really create.
Beverly is challenged offensively. He is not a play maker...I think that is his biggest problem. His D in some ways is arguably better than Lin, but he's not better at anything else.
DeleteWhen Beverly is in the game, the team passes the ball ineffectively like a hot potato wing to wing but the defense is already locked into it so it's just a ton of useless passing around the perimeter leading to staleness.
G. Smith sprained an ankle and is playing through it.
ReplyDeleteWell, they might lose now. Bad game management again.
ReplyDelete5 point game
ReplyDeleteMcHell!!!!
OK - now you can rant and rave :)
Delete5 point game. I cant believe it.
ReplyDeleteWhat did I say NO 3 POINTERS LOL...they keep chucking it up
ReplyDeleteMcHale does his usual thing, play the backups too long, lets the other team back, then he'll put Lin in too late.
ReplyDeleteKill the time
ReplyDeleteDelfino
del the vet doing what is important, to burn clock.
ReplyDeleteWOW... I HOPE WE DONT LOSE!!!!
ReplyDeleteHaha ! Lmao! Scare the shit out of McHale.
ReplyDeleteHe shitty deserve that.
DeleteIf we lost the game, he would be fired for sure.
He let the game out of control with so much time left and less than 20 points ahead then bench the starters.
5 pts lead with 28 seconds left. ORL ball.
ReplyDeleteWill the defense show up?
Great rebound and pass by Greg Smith to Delfino
DeleteThis is so unnecessary - All McHale needed to do was to play Asik/Lin for about 4 mins in Q4, and this game would have been iced. This 2nd unit cannot beat any team. Let's see if McHale gets away with yet another blunder. I don't mind if he loses.
ReplyDeleteYou figure it'll end up with a 5 points game.
ReplyDeleteThat stubborn idiot in McHale.
His coaching and rotation stinks.
Beverly played almost 22 minutes.
This just goes to show that it was Jeremy and Asik's superb play that created the huge lead -- not the Magic sucking. They're playing hard all night...but Jeremy is the difference.
ReplyDeleteOnce McHale put in the substitution,
DeleteThe Magic was having a party shooting the daylight.
What's the point of letting the game out of hand.
Hell!
The things they didn't do that lead to this comeback.
ReplyDelete1. Didn't do any dribble drive penetration to get easy layup for the bigs
2. Kept shooting 3 pointers
3. Didn't kill the clock
4. Played horrible defense
yep
DeleteLin and Asik were all sat on the bench.
DeleteAnother benching of the starters.
Yes, but you can't expect them to do any of that -- there's no talent on the court.
DeleteA Houston team without Lin, Asik, Harden or even Parsons is going to be overwhelmed by any NBA team, no matter how bad.
jlin expression on the bench omg like he want to be in and play some D .....as well as the ball needs to move/set play for O
ReplyDeleteOk, del saved us.
ReplyDeleteI'm speechless. Vegas' influence? Coach can't be this freakin dumb.
ReplyDeleteGood point. Good good given 2007 situation with that ref.
DeleteIncredibly dumb!
DeleteA quick 3 pointer and a steal
ReplyDeleteThe Magic will be back in the game.
Damn McHell!
Any coach would have inserted all their STARTERS in this situation...
ReplyDeleteI think most of the starters had ice on their appendages.
DeleteMcHell is not a coach material.
DeleteDelfino the veteran out there to the rescue.
ReplyDeleteDelfino finally gets his double figure scoring.
ReplyDeleteBut
McHale is virtually insulting the Magic and his starters.
BTW - Harden reminds me of "Miami-Vice"
ReplyDeleteDel again ... I like that and this goes to show, 2nd unit is still for 2nd unit.
ReplyDeleteThis game is the Rockets in a nutshell.
ReplyDeleteLin = hero that nobody appreciates.
Mchale = goat that always screws things up.
"Old" CF members (pre Lin era) upset with coach.
DeleteMcHale is the troll screwing things up for the Magic.
DeleteWhat does he have to say in the postgame show.
Benching Lin and Asik in situation like this is an insult; specially after their great performance.
CF is always a fun place after Lin does well and McHale makes a dumb rotation decision. Tonight's the night ...
Delete@JoeTeam:

ReplyDeleteYep - Rox were lucky.
DeleteVery true...but I'm glad the way things turned out.
DeleteThat terrible finish PROVED that it was Lin (and Asik) playing great that caused the huge lead...not the Magic stinking it up. Jeremy looks even better now.
McHale tried to give the 2nd team a chance to grow up under pressure.
DeleteGood thing Delfino and Greg Smith saved him.
BTW:
DeleteDelfino 1/10 3pt shooting...
He keeps on shooting and the coach let him do it.
DeleteThose shooting help the Magic back in the game.
That's not good basketball.
Nice inside game tonight. Why the hell you want to take the 3 in the fourth quarter with your poor shooting night?
LOL
ReplyDeleteLin looked like the BOSS giving a low five to Bev.
Asik and Lin looked a bit worried towards the end :D
Not just looking like boss - he was the boss tonight :)
DeleteHe only acted like the BOSS when he bossed people around :D haha
DeleteMcHale was really happy that Greg Smith showed up to play in the last 3 possessions!
ReplyDeleteGreg Smith can now play D, folks :) He passed the baptism by fire!
lol
DeleteAny team in NBA will fire the coach in a situation like this.
ReplyDeleteThe craziness continues, lol.

DeleteBamboo, your comment is fine from a status quo standpoint, but really, Clips are a good team and HOU played them like Lin is capable of organizing. The past is the past, and now, the data is pretty clear - if Lin can drive point, people buy in, the Rox are fun to watch.
DeleteDude what is your deal? Everytime I read your posts u are always playing devil's advocate. McHale was right benching starters, lets not forget harden when he didn't play at all. I think you are in love with ur voice as the voice if reason.. But really u sound like an annoying prick.
DeleteReally I think u belonging in clutch.. This is a Lin fan site.
DeleteAre you kidding me? I will take a Lin-lead team over a Harden-lead team any day. I strongly believe that a Lin-lead Rox will have more wins. Unless McHale just screws up everything by his stupidity.
Delete"Let's not forget that the Magic are a poor team."
DeleteYeah, they're so poor, they DESTROYED THE ROCKETS when Lin and Asik were out.
A self-hating Lin fan or a CF troll? Either way, that's just a 100% incorrect statement.
The bad news is the rockets is having a stubborn, lunatic, and sick coach
DeleteSolidz75, Harden is a top shooting guard in the league. I just try to be objective. I'm a Lin fan. A huge Lin fan: But that doesn't mean I'm blind, either.
DeleteIf I'm annoying to you then I have news for you: You get annoyed way too easily.
DeleteThis is what Lin's stats would look like if Harden weren't around. Close to 16 and 9 a game.
ReplyDeleteMagic respected Lin's dribble penetration; there were really no driving lanes for most of the game. (Spacing is worsened by Smith being in there also.) Lin eventually started shooting from outside because there was nothing else available.
yeah...they wouldnt let get in the lane and he was forced to shoot jumpers. He is going to be a pretty complete player in the future.
DeleteWell tonight clearly showed that bev is no where close to Lin.
ReplyDeleteI love how Orlando announcers recognize that Lin is a very good point guard and that his game suffers when harden is on the court.
Player of the game went to asik ( I mean stat wise he was a monster) but talk of the game was really Lin.

DeleteLin+Asik -> BOSS
DeleteI'm not downplaying bev at all. All I'm sick of is when McHale et al almost act like bev should be the starter.
Deleteadmit it, you were rooting for the rockets bench to blow the game. i know i was!
ReplyDeleteAt least I did.
DeleteI was dying to see McFail failing the game all by himself.
I want to see what McFail excuse was if they loss that game
DeleteI didn't :D
DeleteA loss would minimize Lin's accomplishment.
But I'm glad the 2nd team almost lost the lead so people knew there is a reason why Lin is a starter PG.
I couldn't believe that McFail benched Lin & Asik for the whole quarter.
ReplyDeleteDid League Pass show orlando telecast? Mine nly showed rockets side. LP will show the game later in case you missed it.
ReplyDeleteOn direct tv LP, it was Orlando telecast. On the net, it was Houston.
DeleteJust signed a petition on change.org to fire McFail
ReplyDeleteWhat a great first three quarters of team basketball. First half was a clinic. JLin finding the opponent's weaknesses and exploiting them .... almost looked like it wasn't fair. Good point guard leadership. Also, first half there was great team defense. Great work not only by Lin but also Cisco Kid, Asik, and Smith.
ReplyDeleteReminded me of Linsanity 1.0 and how play of Chandler, Fields, Novak all suddenly were elevated to higher levels.
