Almost game time. Look for McHale to be mixing and experimenting with some line up and rotations tonight since the Rockets already got a play off berth. No Parsons tonight so let's see how McHale rotate and make adjustments against Randolph and Gasol.
Officials so far cheating Lin on a foul that should have been an AND 1. They called a foul for Randolph on the other end instead and he barely got touched.
Z-Bo is getting freethrows for leaning into defenders. I know what I see. Refs have always been biased for certain players, it's just that tonight Z-Bo getting the Kobe-Lebron treatment.
Even D-Mo post up move is horrible looking. He just puts his head down and try to spin and fade away. McHale needs to work with D-Mo more on those post moves.
Lin needs to stop passing to DMO. I know he wants to get him involved but he has shown nothing that he can make those outside shots. DMO has been looking terrible tamely. When Harden and parsons are both out he should take on more of the scoring load.
Rockets are playing really sloppy. No offensive flow tonight. Our 3 point shooters can't shoot. Our PF can't rebound. Our center can't finish and Rockets hero can't finish at the basket. He has so far been on an ISO binge.
Grizzlies' best in the league D forced turnovers from the Rockets. I think this game and the Denver one showed that apparently only Lin on this team is good enough to play against this playoffs type D.
Even in real time, the call looked wrong. How can you be out of bounds when you are still in mid-air? You don't have to see Harden's foot to know that he passed before landing!
There are two other refs who could have corrected the call but nope.
Welp. This just confirms what we all know (though it'll shock everyone else). Jeremy's the only two-way player on the team. Rockets are trash without him involved.
Maybe it's best to lose and dodge Denver who should still get the 3rd seed (they own the tiebreak vs. Memphis).
Memphis is just too big inside for the crappy Houston frontcourt. Even with Asik, it's probably the WORST frontcourt I have ever seen in a playoff team.
Grizzlies getting a lot of calls in their favor. The Harden "out of bounds" then a blocking foul on Lin when Conley clearly lowered the shoulder and extended his arm.
James Harden - hard not to be the leading scorer when dominating every possession and jacking up so many shots and looks like I am "carrying the team" lol.
What D? There's only ever been Lin and to a lesser extent Asik. And the latter is useless today...he looks like he doesn't even want to be out there.
The Rockets don't need a star PF this offseason. Just a defender/rebounder/dunker. Smith or Millsap would be fine. I also wish Houston would get Andrei Kirilenko and trade Parsons for a backup center.
i would never thought i say this but here i come. without the help of the referees james harden is at least an average ball player. he is just sooooo bad and slow. the rest of the rockets except jeremy and parsons are way to incosistent and simply fucking bad too. i HOPE they are tanking becuz everything else would be just too embarresing
Because lots of people complain that Lin was cheated on the minutes, they actually let Lin have more minutes but as SG. Darn!!!!! Lin is supposed to be the first PG not Harden. Harden only care about his own statistics.
This game Harden at least made some effort to stay on his man, but Bayless hit contested shots.
Lin still has the habit of helping one pass away -- and worst of all, giving up corner 3s while helping. Lin is being stupid and the coaches are stupid for letting the players do this all season.
hang in there with me, fellas

ReplyDeleteGood morning from my side of the world! Hope we get the 6th seed!
ReplyDeletegood morning. greetings from cebu, philippines. let's go!
DeleteAlmost game time. Look for McHale to be mixing and experimenting with some line up and rotations tonight since the Rockets already got a play off berth. No Parsons tonight so let's see how McHale rotate and make adjustments against Randolph and Gasol.
ReplyDeleteMEM haven't won in HOU since April 2005.
ReplyDeletelol
DeleteHope [against hope] doesn't change...
Delete*that doesn't change
DeleteWow Toyota Center looks empty. Either audience is late or ticket sales are really low
ReplyDeleteGrizzlies look to be out rebounding Rockets so far tonight.
ReplyDeleteHarden so far with two TOs and also gave Asik a dirty look on the pass to Asik which Asik had no chance of catching.
ReplyDeleteOfficials so far cheating Lin on a foul that should have been an AND 1. They called a foul for Randolph on the other end instead and he barely got touched.
ReplyDeleteHarden's man is the opponent's high scorer. Is this a surprise?
ReplyDeleteJeremy is pg or sg tonite?
ReplyDeleteJLin has been putting up floaters that miss backrim lately instead of going in strong to bank it off the rim. He needs to use glass on that layup.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. It's like he doesn't know what to do and hesitates so the ball gets caught in between the rim and the backboard.
DeleteHarden is a TO machine and so far the Houston announcers didn't say diddly squat about his TOs and McHale surely didn't say anything about it.
ReplyDeleteThey keep going to Harden to go ISO. Even though he's being guarded by the best perimeter defender in the NBA.
DeleteFeel sorry for Greg Smith tonight. Z-Bo is a beast in the low post.
ReplyDeleteNo, Z-Bo just gets every whistle from the refs.
DeleteNo Z-Bo is a beast. You don't know much about other teams do you?
DeleteZ-Bo is getting freethrows for leaning into defenders. I know what I see. Refs have always been biased for certain players, it's just that tonight Z-Bo getting the Kobe-Lebron treatment.
DeleteLOL! You're comparing a guy who averages 4.5 FTA a game with dudes with who average 7.6 FTA and 8.7 FTA a game.
DeleteTonight it's a combination of Z-Bo beasting and Rockets lacking legit NBA power forwards.
Come on Rockets STOP FOULING!
ReplyDeleteJeremy came to play. Nobody else did.
ReplyDeleteRockets look terrible whenever Jeremy isn't directly involved in the play.
And now here comes Beverly, ugh. Take out the one guy playing well!
Lin was taken out because he was scoring too much and it was cramping Harden's style.
DeleteConley immediately scores two easy bucket on Beverly...most obvious outcome ever.
DeleteRox looks really bad. So out of sync.
ReplyDeletePerhaps they will look more in sync when Harden sits in the 2nd quarter and Lin will be in with Beverly.
DeleteNo flow to offense.
DeleteDMO looking worse every game.
ReplyDeleteSeriously WTF, M. Gasol tried to knee Asik in the balls and they call Asik for the foul ???
ReplyDeleteWhy da eff would McHale want to experiment with lineup this late in the season?
ReplyDeleteAnother bad game for Harden.
ReplyDeleteHe's just a scorer; a mediocre defender at best; much overrated and over worked.
No more D-Mo. He is not ready to play for the Rockets. Send him down to D-League.
ReplyDeleteTRob is much better.
DeleteTake DMO out can't score inside. Can't score outside.
ReplyDeleteI I don't think the grizz are playing that well. But Rox looks just bad tonight.
ReplyDeleteEven D-Mo post up move is horrible looking. He just puts his head down and try to spin and fade away. McHale needs to work with D-Mo more on those post moves.
ReplyDeleteIt s too late in the season. He shouldn't play at all.
DeleteLin not involved at all with the offense.
ReplyDeleteThat is because McSimpleton still wants Lin to be a SG and Beverly to be the PG.
DeleteStupid to have Lin out there if he doesn't handle the ball. Typical blind McHale.
DeleteMcSimpleton hehe
DeleteDMo needs to improve his game. He doesn't belong in this league yet.
ReplyDeleteHe wasn't exactly dominating in the D-League. His game needs a lot of work, and "trial by fire" by giving him big minutes is not gonna work.
DeleteAgree. His move looks fragile and awful.
DeleteScrubs are FREEZING Jeremy out. It's hilarious. Such inept idiots trying to force bad shots.
ReplyDeleteJeremy didn't touch the ball for about 3 minutes and 5 straight possessions.
He needs to demand the ball instead of letting these scrubs try to create for themselves.
DeleteBeverley has been reading the CF forums or something. He's actually beginning to think that he's better than Lin and freezing him out.
DeleteKnow your role Bev.
PB been getting praise fr Parker, LBJ...
DeleteLin needs to stop passing to DMO. I know he wants to get him involved but he has shown nothing that he can make those outside shots. DMO has been looking terrible tamely. When Harden and parsons are both out he should take on more of the scoring load.
ReplyDeleteHe needs to stop passing it period. They're giving him the lane but he's too focused on passing the ball out.
DeleteMcFail's idea: THE WORSE HARDEN PLAY, THE MORE WILL HE PLAY.
ReplyDeleteBiggest problem is defense... non existence.
ReplyDeleteThis is NOT the way this team should look heading into the playoffs..
ReplyDeleteLin's first assist
ReplyDeleteRockets blowing assists again and again.
DeleteYup. 3-4 already.
DeleteHarden is sooo freaking useless if he doesn't get foul calls..
ReplyDeleteAsik is TERRIBLE today.
ReplyDeleteMy Lord. He's done everything wrong today.
Rockets are playing really sloppy. No offensive flow tonight. Our 3 point shooters can't shoot. Our PF can't rebound. Our center can't finish and Rockets hero can't finish at the basket. He has so far been on an ISO binge.
ReplyDeleteThey were like this last game too.
DeleteOnly Lin can ball ,lol.. Too many rookies in this team.
ReplyDeleteThe Rox can't get into the game w/o Lin running the offense
ReplyDeleteOnly way Rockets are going to get pass R1 is if Harden DNP.
ReplyDeleteor break a leg.
DeleteRockets have over 100possessions a game but how many of those belong to harden.
ReplyDeleteJlin only one ready for playoffs
ReplyDeleteThis is the strongest line up with Asik + Jones + Smith
ReplyDeleteCan someone explain why
ReplyDelete1: Asik needs to bounce the ball when hes 1 foot from the hoop
2: He misses 2 layouts 1 foot away from the hoop with a clear path
cuz his posture is bad. He can't go straight up when he slouches.
DeleteBecause he thinks he's a PG?
DeleteGrizzlies' best in the league D forced turnovers from the Rockets. I think this game and the Denver one showed that apparently only Lin on this team is good enough to play against this playoffs type D.
ReplyDeleteAgree. Moreyball will fail in the playoffs.
DeleteHarden just don't have the mobility to run around the court.
ReplyDeleteIf he is shut down and can't score, he'll be completely lost.
heck lin is every going for the boards
ReplyDeleteAnd he's the first one running up the court for the fast break. Other Rockets are looking sloooowwww.
DeleteIt's an embarrassment that the refs won't rescind a call they clearly got wrong.
ReplyDeleteEh. It's one call. Officiating is good and consistent otherwise.
Delete"Embarrassment" = every player other than Lin tonight. No brains, no effort, no defense.
Refs assumed Harden was out of bounds even when they can't see it.
DeleteEven in real time, the call looked wrong. How can you be out of bounds when you are still in mid-air? You don't have to see Harden's foot to know that he passed before landing!
DeleteThere are two other refs who could have corrected the call but nope.
Game Over.
ReplyDeleteOnly Jeremy came to play and he's not even getting many touched or screens. His 3pt shooting is cold of late as well.
Memphis just playing with the rockets.
ReplyDeleteAny Harden missing leads to a slam dunk
ReplyDeleteCan they take Harden out!
ReplyDeleteThey are gonna swept at this rate. Just shut it down.
ReplyDeletethe sad part is memphis don't even look like they're trying all that hard...
ReplyDeleteYou are right. In playoff, Mac and Rockets are going to get exposed. It's whole different ball game in playoffs with tough D on every possession.
DeleteIf McHale gets Coty....
ReplyDeleteHow many TOs Harden got!
ReplyDeleteWho do they pass it to.? How about jlin?
ReplyDeletehaah that was funny, they go through the list of scrubs and don't even mention lin
DeleteLin getting cheated of calls again.
ReplyDeleteFunny thing is if Lin didn't fall down, there wouldn't be a call at all.
DeleteDuh... if you going to cheat, you look for the Asian guy.
DeleteYeah, he was definitely cheated there. But hey, when your team is getting blown out like this...the refs will speed the game up and let 'em play.
DeleteShooting 28% ?!
ReplyDeleteWith Harden running the offense, only 30 points for the half.
ReplyDeleteHe might as well retire.
Second that!
DeleteIf they don't come out firing on all cylinders in the second half... I'm gonna..
ReplyDeleteWelp. This just confirms what we all know (though it'll shock everyone else). Jeremy's the only two-way player on the team. Rockets are trash without him involved.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's best to lose and dodge Denver who should still get the 3rd seed (they own the tiebreak vs. Memphis).
Memphis is just too big inside for the crappy Houston frontcourt. Even with Asik, it's probably the WORST frontcourt I have ever seen in a playoff team.
DeleteGrizzlies getting a lot of calls in their favor. The Harden "out of bounds" then a blocking foul on Lin when Conley clearly lowered the shoulder and extended his arm.
ReplyDeleteAccording to my record, every game Harden made more assists than Lin, the rockets lost.
ReplyDeleteJames Harden - hard not to be the leading scorer when dominating every possession and jacking up so many shots and looks like I am "carrying the team" lol.
ReplyDeleteHe's delivering the team to hell.
DeleteHe's the most overrated player in NBA.
He should go back as the sixth man.
Did you all hear how they tried to cheat Guan by giving him a shot penalty at the Masters? This probably had never happened before at the tourney.
ReplyDeleteAnd the mfking kid still made the cut!!!!
Stu the orthropod ... Dr! I like it! Now, save my torn PCL.
DeleteLol. I'm non-surgical physical medicine and rehab so I'm useless though I can diagnose well.
Deletewth is going on, 25% shooting
ReplyDeleteWhere is our D?
ReplyDeleteWhat D? There's only ever been Lin and to a lesser extent Asik. And the latter is useless today...he looks like he doesn't even want to be out there.
DeleteThe Rockets don't need a star PF this offseason. Just a defender/rebounder/dunker. Smith or Millsap would be fine. I also wish Houston would get Andrei Kirilenko and trade Parsons for a backup center.
guess who has 0 turnovers
ReplyDeleteJLin of course.
DeleteIf he didn't run the offense, he rarely had TO because teammates slipped his pass.
i would never thought i say this but here i come. without the help of the referees james harden is at least an average ball player. he is just sooooo bad and slow. the rest of the rockets except jeremy and parsons are way to incosistent and simply fucking bad too. i HOPE they are tanking becuz everything else would be just too embarresing
ReplyDeleteno of comments here can tell this is such a boring game
ReplyDeleteJeremy playing great individual defense on Conley (except for flop late in second quarter that was called a blocking foul).
ReplyDeleteHarden looks like he is just too amp'd up for this game. Hopefully the adrenaline starts to wear off and some of his shots start to fall.
No problem with how McHale is trying to run offense this game.
Seems like game should be about tied if some of their shots fell and they didn't have a few of those careless turnovers.
Hopefully team can get it back to even with about 5 minutes left. Then it's Harden and Lin time.
Amped up? I think everyone looks a little lazy and out of it.
DeleteMemphis is just too big and the Rockets don't even want to win this game really -- it would only increase the odds they face Denver.
Because lots of people complain that Lin was cheated on the minutes, they actually let Lin have more minutes but as SG.
ReplyDeleteDarn!!!!! Lin is supposed to be the first PG not Harden.
Harden only care about his own statistics.
Madness is doing the same thing and hoping the result will be different.
ReplyDeleteThe time that Lin made 4 TOs; the haters start screaming to bench him.
ReplyDeleteNow Harden made 4 in only half the game; it was OK.
Will Harden break his record of TOs today.,
ReplyDelete9 was his record.
This game Harden at least made some effort to stay on his man, but Bayless hit contested shots.
ReplyDeleteLin still has the habit of helping one pass away -- and worst of all, giving up corner 3s while helping. Lin is being stupid and the coaches are stupid for letting the players do this all season.
Good coaching like that of Chicago, San Antonio, Miami would not tolerate giving up corner 3s so easily. That's on McHale/Sampson.
DeleteRockets are putting some effort this quarter, but their rebounding is still atrocious.
ReplyDeleteNEW THREAD
ReplyDeleteHarden looks slow
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteharden plays OFF the ball rockets win. wonder why that is... ah maybe because hes a SHOOTING guard. ffs mchale
ReplyDeleteAsik is USELESS another blown assists why the fuck is he sleeping?!!!!!!
