  2. at least it explains Lin off shooting, he has been stellar for the past 2 months as far as shooting

  3. Awwwwwwww what happened to his shoulder?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Something happened to Lin's shoulder. He went inside, not on the court anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Shit! Lin is in locker room.he got hurt.

  6. I hope lin is not seriously hurt

    2. Suffered a contusion in chest after diving into the ball, that's what i heard

  8. Hope it's not too serious an injury.

  9. How terrible this is turbo g out to be! Lost job and then get hurt. And rockets starting to fall apart, I guess without Lin on court I got to root for OKC or hell breaks loose if Rox won without Lin

    1. OKC is already pulling away. By 9 point now near the end of 3rd. I think OKC will win by at least 15 points or more I just feel. The first game I was so accurate in predicting 3-point shots made and attempted for each team: 95% ball park.

Anyway, I've been wanting Beverley to play more with Harden, but NOT Bev and Lin together: I wanted to accurately see if who is better, Lin or Bev by letting them play apart from each other, both with starters and with the reserves (Because I've always felt that Morey & McHale tried to show everyone that Douglas and Beverley - the backups - are better than Lin). I always felt Lin is better overall hands down. Wish Lin would improve on 3-point spot up though by stepping back a little more; he often overshoots or too strong, but doesn't make adjustments during the game. SMH.

    1. Not at all. He should be able to come back.

      Delete
    2. Just a bruise. Hurts like hell, but at worst, he'll miss the rest of this game.

      Probably not even that, IMO.

      Delete
    3. If its not so serious then why couldnt he even get a shot up?

      Delete
    4. A contusion is basically a bruise. He should be fine though his return is "questionable" for this game.

      Delete
    5. Contusion in chest shld not be serious but may be painful at the moment...they need to give a shot of pain med and he shld be able to come back but he'll be hurting again when the effect wears off... It shldnt be as serious if it were brain contusion

      Delete
    6. well if a contusion he might need rest and tons of cold compress and anti-inflammatory medication

      Delete
  12. I feel terrible for him right now. He works so hard. ..just wanted him to have a good series.

  14. Bev is a fouling machine idiot. Anyone can play aggressive D if you are allowed to foul so much.

Puts the other team in the bonus early. Anyone who thinks that Bev is a great defender seems to ignore this.

2 fouls in 30 secs, without even contesting a shot. It's straight dumb.

  15. Anyone saw "Lin Diving for ball on the floor in the first half?" Reporter said return is questionable, ugh, hope he is okAy

    ReplyDelete
  16. Unless he fractured a rib .. That can hurt like hell

    ReplyDelete
  17. maybe the silver lining is Lin gets traded sooner than later. I only feel bad for Lin because these are the only games that matter and of course he gets hurt...

Don't matter if Lin stinks or does well, would like to see him play and bring whatever results into the summer with him.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Right now that doesnt seem like a silver lining. Poor kid cant get himself going

      Delete
    2. This was never his team. He was like an outsider trying to fit in all season.

There are no real teams for Lin to go to. The only one is the Lakers. Let's pray for a miracle.

      Delete
  18. TV announcer said it's a 'contusion'. basically, a bruise.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Parsons too amp'd up (shots off backboard not going in).

Wanna see Beverley talk some smack to Westbrook and really get under his skin.

Hope Lin can come back late in fourth and help close out game.

    OKC a bit unraveled.

  20. just give him a shot of toradol, Kevin!

  25. I think he's getting an X-ray.. Please don't let it be a fracture..

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. If he fractured a rib, nothing much can be done, he has to wait for the rib to heal, it will take time, it is painful so more likely he will miss a few games, if not the entire series...hopefully, that's not the case

      Delete
  26. Darn, how do you shoot with a right chest contusion?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Can JLin wear some kind of chest protector, he gets knocked down too many times

    ReplyDelete
  28. I doubt Lin is coming back. He isn't a sissy and will play through pain. He probably can't move his arm due to the chest pain.

Unless he takes a shot to dull the pain, I doubt he comes back.

    1. this is sad. i doubt he will even be back for the next two games.

    2. Lin truly is tough and plays with something to prove. I hope the training staff can perform a miracle...

I would have liked for Lin to get some playoff experience...

      Delete
  29. Guys, Lin is done in Houston. Beverly is the starting point guard playing starting minutes. Even before Lin got hurt, he was out of the game. The Lin haters won. Such a shame. Sad part is not only did Houston destroy his year, he may have destroyed his career. Who will hire him now? Sometimes the bad guys win.

    2. i understand the worries, but let's stay positive. c'mon...

      Delete
    3. don't worry, Rose.

That's a good scenario if Bev is seen as a fitting PG next to Harden because Lin will get to play full-time PG somewhere else.

So cheer for Lin to have a great game but also for Bev.
They have a shot to win this game if Lin can come back to slow down Westbrook,

      Delete
    4. Relax, lol.

He was playing well and it's one playoff game against OKC -- you gotta try different things like going small. Even in the absolute worst case scenario, he'd be the Manu Ginobili of the team...in which case at least he'd get to run the offense for 25-28mpg.

What's annoying is that Jeremy got a minor injury in a close game.

      Delete
    5. Wow I think you need to calm down, Lin isn't going anywhere, he's got a 3 yr 25 million dollar contract. He's probably out for this game, we'll see for the rest of the series.

But seriously he's going to have a great career. RELAX.

      Delete
    6. Lin was not out of the game before he got Hurt! if you had listened carefully to the tv announcer, he said that Lin tried to give it a go at the start of the second half but took himself out of the game!

      Delete
    5. It's funny how they calling Lin names because a contusion is not serious and how he is always injured. When he has had busted lips and busted heads and hasn't missed ONE game the whole season. And yeah, I'm staying away from all that, I still hope they win tonight.

  45. Bwahahaha...all the Rockets fans eager to see Lin out are realizing how idiotic they are.

"Great! No Lin! Wait...oh no. Beverly is so dumb. Two fouls in 4 secs? Yeah! Aaron Brooks, he's so much better than Lin too! Oh wait...oh no. Crap. He's awful. Noooo!"

    1. I hate to burst your bubble but nobody is saying that. Or thinking it. They are thinking: the reason we are even in this game is because of Beverly. If not for that we would be blown out right now like last game. Oh and they are probably yelling about Lin being soft and accident prone - just for good measure

      Delete
    2. Music, do me a favor and go to twitter and search for Jeremy Lin. Trust me, it's not pretty. And how can you say that Lin is soft when he has busted lips, busted head and hasn't missed ONE game the whole season.... People...

    1. He probably had a micro-fracture of something...

      Delete
  56. Beverly is actually pretty good. He over fouls and plays D a bit too aggressively but he would have paired well with Lin instead of Lin/Harden.

The more I watch Harden, the less impressed I am with his game. He's getting shut down because he is not that fast athletically AND he is semi-lazy or plays in that manner.

Maybe Harden is just injured or gotten bogged down from the season. He was a different player at the start, scouting or no scouting etc...

    ReplyDelete
  57. Haters will find a way to blame Lin even he is not on the floor.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Only if we have Lin playing, the Rox would have won this quarter.

    ReplyDelete
  59. http://www.freemd.com/chest-contusion/treatment.htm

Treatment for a chest contusion includes rest, cold compresses, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications for pain. A person with a chest contusion tends to avoid deep breaths because of pain. However, deep breathing is important to reduce the risk for atelectasis and pneumonia. Thus, pain medication is important for those who are unable to breathe deeply because of pain. Severe chest contusions may result in multiple rib fractures or injuries to internal organs, such as the lung. Severe internal injuries may require oxygen therapy and surgery to repair damaged tissue.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thanks for that. Sounds like it could be more serious than we thought.

He's a warrior who often plays better when banged up...so you know it must be painful as heck or he'd be out there.

Hate to say it, but maybe he should sit out the game just as a precaution.

      Delete
    2. wait for xray. no one knows the nature of the contusion. hope for the best. let's not lose heart..could be not so bad..

      Delete
    3. There's no way they can win w/o Lin

      Delete
    4. If Lin has trouble breathing, he shouldn't come back at all.

He won't be effective if he can't breathe well.

Better be prayin' for his health now.

      Delete
  60. Lin may not be back anymore which is better for him... If he comes back, he will be struggling a lot more bec of pain... Besides, if rockets lose, he will be blamed, if they win w/o him, lin will be traded...

    ReplyDelete
  61. You know how important Lin is when he is not in.
Beverly is on the verge of fouling out.
Lin is the key of this game.
    Win / Loss

  62. If we could have the 3 guards offense in the 4th. The Thunder is going to be in big trouble.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Been lurking on clutchfans for awhile...gotta say you guys are completely right, that place is a hellhole. People bashing lin for missing 2 three pointers while beverley and harden have the same or worse percentages.

    1. houston has a shitty, ignorant fanbase.

      Delete
    2. It's important to remember that Rockets fans are from TEXAS.

Texas is the most racist state in the entire country. Half of them want to secede from the US and scream about that "Muslim Obama" trying to take away their right to machine guns.

There's plenty of hatred every. But it's magnified ten-fold in Texas.

      Delete
    3. I've never seen fans turn on their own players so fast...and so many double standards. Beverley turning the ball over just now, one comment. If that had been Lin, he'd been skewered.

      Delete
    4. The site is moderated by a bigot, which sets the tone for all the 'discussions.' So it's no surprise that CF is an embarrassment.

  64. i had such high hopes for this game..

  66. Lin's return is essential.
Now the defense has a hole.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Im glad this is happening to Bev not on Lin's watch they need to see the difference

    ReplyDelete
  68. Interesting to see how many lazy media articles will say Westbrook lit up Lin, when Beverley guarded Westbrook for whole game.

Beverley is a nice role player, but he benefits from having Lin and Harden on court as spacers because both represent legitimate scoring or playmaking threats.

When he is the man, things, err, get a bit more difficult.

And, as usual, Harden looks awful as point guard. He creates no easy looks for his teammates.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Harden as PG was a joke all season....

    2. Delfino also needs to be dumped before his second year gets guaranteed.

Too streaky as shooter, and not the factor he should be in big games, given his national team and Olympic experience

      Delete
  69. There's no way they can blame the loss on Lin.
It just shows how important Lin's defense is.
The Thunders are scoring at will now.

    ReplyDelete
  70. No Lin. No win.

It's as simple as that -- despite what ignorant Rockets fans and J-Lin's own self-hating fans may believe.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Wow what happened, thought it was a close game until Lin was taken out for chest contusion...Its another rout now.

Is Bev getting blown away by WB again?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Beverly can give Rox energy and he can score and rebound BUT he can't make the team win ...

    ReplyDelete
  73. This game is done for me. I dont think jeremy can still come back.. For his own good, he shld rest and recuperate..as i said earlier, jeremy not the PG, it is no fun to watch, no jeremy at all means i shld turn off my tv...i just hope he can play on sunday...i will say a prayer for him

    ReplyDelete
  74. So much for the Beverly experiment. This dumb ass coach can't see that the real problem is harden ballhogging. The rest of the team just stands there while harden tries to be the hero again.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thats what was interesting about the first half of this game. With Lin and Beverly in there Harden was hardly playing pg and mostly playing off the ball. He plays much better when he does that. Now thats completely gone.

      Delete
    2. Patrick Beverly is fantastic. He is NOT the problem and does NOT suck. The problem is Harden....he was great to start the season and now is just an average high volume player.

He's an old Metta World Piece with a better jumpshot and Eurostep. Literally, that's what he is...at least Metta plays crazy and scares people...

And Parsons also tries to do too much but he's still within the realm of playing controlled ball.

Yes mainly the problem is Harden. I also am not a Delfino fan against OKC. And Delfino is hot and cold. When he is cold, he should NOT be in the game.

      Delete
  75. Delfino is a huge defensive and rebounding liability. His streaky shot does not outweigh his weaknesses against OKC
