Kenny Smith said that if the guards don't turn it over, they would have been in the game. Haha, as if THAT is why they lost game 1. Are you kidding me.
So this is where we've come to. Even an undrafted backup PG scrub acquired in mid season took away his starting PG job. McHale's blood is mine sooner or later I'm coming to get you
Give McHale some reps. Replace non-productive Smith with Beverly. Asik dropped that easy ball from Beverly for a dunk. Pity coach can't replace Asik as well. But this small team is being out rebounded.
That Jeremy Lin defense! Notice how Lin is always moving and helping in defense. I still think that starting lineup needs to be careful with the rebounds but so far so good. Much better than Sunday.
Commentator "point guard sacrifice your body" for a OKC charging foul. Asik has already contributed. When is Harden going to, being 'the leader'? OKC timeout, trying to resolve the problem of charging fouls. Smith on the other hand would have had 3 personal fouls by now.
Lin funnelled Durant, but Asik stepped back instead of stepping in front so Durant made an easy slam dunk. Parsons playing better today. If Lin contributes more and their shots go in (many are layups), Rockets may have a chance.
The radio commentators are saying Rox are playing much better. That's good. I barely hear Lin's name when they are on offense so not doing much huh. And it sounds like his j was horrible.
It looks like they went with the lineup I suggested with Parsons at the PF position & had Bev in their to complement Lin and Harden; then Asik to hold down the fort.
Just like I suggested they are making sure that Asik or any big men stand in the paint to take any Westbrook drives and try to get a charge.
Lin is playing more under control and is looking to get teammates more involved.
They are starting to go for 3's and not penetrating the paint...harden tried a few times but was well defended...they need to go inside, otherwise this will be a blowout sooner than later
I don't even need to watch the game. They will keep Lin the starter but play him as little as possible. He's the first sub out again...this is Lin's fate until he gets a chance to lead as the main guard or truly improves his game big time where he has no holes.
Dont feel bad not seeing this game...if lin is officially not the PG, it is pointless rooting for this team...i don't care if they lose but i care abt jeremy's performance though....i dont enjoy seeing lin play SG at all
When bev is in, he plays PG but when lin is the PG ( which was for a brief moment earlier) he was barely touching the ball...how can mchale explain this?
Good first quarter by Rockets, offensive points shared by all whereas Westbrook is 0-2 attempts but 2 points, KD with 15 points has more than of his team's points.
It's obvious that they gotta shut him down. Parsons-Harden weak defenders. Easier said than done, that's why a Howard is needed on this team.
Bev still have played more minutes than Lin and took more shots (5) than Lin. Bev is not going a good job defensively and trying to much to show off on offensive side
He is not tentative tonight... If he gets the ball, either he goes for a drive or get it to somebody open... I dont see him pass the ball a lot to harden but mire to bev, i guess bec he is the PG...he tries to shoot when he feels he is open, despite missing a few... I like it that way, i'd rather see him take shots and miss than just stand and pass the ball
To me, he is playing with I dont care like attitude..he does what he thinks is right for him to do, shoot the ball when u get it especially if u are open... That's what he is designated to do anyway, with bev as PG... I'd say he just needs to get those shots in and he will do well. But compared to game1, he is doing much better tonight...he is definitely not scared
coaching is genius ... team is playing psychological warfare.. OKC is ruffled at the moment ..hope this keeps up and we steal a win ! c'mon Jlin step up ..
Good that bev is playing well. But this bodes badly for Lin's future... Which is not necessarily a bad thing cause I'm sure Lin becomes more dispensable.
Don't know what happened to Lin's outside shot but even on tv, when he shoots it, looks like he's going to brick it every time. He needs some outside shots to go in for his confidence and so that he can keep the defense honest and fake a three and then drive the lane. I'm really worried why his outside shot is so off and awful looking. I mean those shots are not even close. Get your game together JLin. I don't like the fact that Lin has no real role as point guard . Very concerning.
Did you guys know you can watch the game on TNT Overtime?
http://www.nba.com/tntovertime
It isn't exactly the broadcast, but you can choose different cameras including a Rockets fan vote. If we all vote for Lin, that camera stays on Lin. It is pretty cool. Especially if you are at work and/or can't watch cable tv right now.
The quickness of the Rox really bothers the Thunder. They can't focus on any one the guards. The Rox can take whatever the Thunder gives. So far if the Rox improves on the shooting percentage after they settle down, the Thunder is going to be in for a treat.
Make the Thunder pay for every shot they take. Go man, it seems teamball all the way.
Patrick Beverley is the starting point guard tonight!
ReplyDeleteThat's no good news
DeleteOKC prepared for him. Let's see...
DeleteWe're doomed
ReplyDeleteGame 2,here it comes....Go J!!! I know you have what it takes to get better and stronger
ReplyDeleteKenny Smith said that if the guards don't turn it over, they would have been in the game. Haha, as if THAT is why they lost game 1. Are you kidding me.
ReplyDeleteGood lets make Jeremy play off the ball more. That will get him more comfortable.
ReplyDeleteSo this is where we've come to. Even an undrafted backup PG scrub acquired in mid season took away his starting PG job. McHale's blood is mine sooner or later I'm coming to get you
ReplyDeleteBreathe in, breathe out...
Delete[But we're all furious.]
Lin is starting too guys! Realax!!!!!!
Deletedumbest move ever if pb starts for jlin.
ReplyDelete2 quick team foul already
ReplyDeleteHarden is the only rockets making this team lose
ReplyDelete3rd team foul with 8 minutes still left
ReplyDeleteParsons not defending downlow, just want easy fast break points. Harden have no business rebounding boxing out downlow
ReplyDeleteGive McHale some reps. Replace non-productive Smith with Beverly. Asik dropped that easy ball from Beverly for a dunk. Pity coach can't replace Asik as well. But this small team is being out rebounded.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is not Smith. Its this move the ball bullshit and ISO harden
DeleteHouston getting many layups blocked. Doesn't forebode good.
ReplyDeleteCan't watch the game how us Lin looking? Have the radio feed looks like parsons came to play!
ReplyDeleteParsons is the current PG
DeleteHarden's offense just sucks!! No need to talk abt his D
ReplyDeleteJeremy Lin: Rockets new starting small forward. Lol
ReplyDeleteI'm watching the game on play by play. Who is Lin guarding? Who's Bev guarding?
ReplyDeleteIf anyone needs to be subbed now, it shld be harden then bev respectively
ReplyDeletegood start. Parsons strong
ReplyDeleteThat Jeremy Lin defense! Notice how Lin is always moving and helping in defense. I still think that starting lineup needs to be careful with the rebounds but so far so good. Much better than Sunday.
ReplyDeleteCommentator "point guard sacrifice your body" for a OKC charging foul. Asik has already contributed. When is Harden going to, being 'the leader'?
ReplyDeleteOKC timeout, trying to resolve the problem of charging fouls. Smith on the other hand would have had 3 personal fouls by now.
Is Lin involved in offense at all? One lay up and one bad miss?!
ReplyDeleteyep
DeleteIs he just watching or actively involved?
DeleteLin is hardly touching the ball, at least the way i see it
DeleteKnew it
DeleteThere is ball movement so again is not traditional PG playset so far so good.
Deletewho's taking the charges. At least like that McHale switch things up instead of sticking with what doesn't work. I'm actually okay with the lineup.
ReplyDeleteParsons at the 4 is forcing Ibaka to play out. Just worried about Harden's defense on KD and rebounding.
Harden, at last, puts in a 3 as the shot clock sounds.
ReplyDeleteLin with a pump fake, passes to Asik 'who almost didn't catch it cos he didn't expect it' for an easy dunk.
ReplyDeleteHow did Beverley do? I'm glad he came out first.
ReplyDeleteBev is out so will see if lin can have command of the ball
ReplyDeletedangit, KD. Pass the ball Parsons!
ReplyDeleteJeremy doong fine.
ReplyDeleteHow did bev do with te start?
DeleteLin funnelled Durant, but Asik stepped back instead of stepping in front so Durant made an easy slam dunk. Parsons playing better today. If Lin contributes more and their shots go in (many are layups), Rockets may have a chance.
ReplyDeleteThe radio commentators are saying Rox are playing much better. That's good. I barely hear Lin's name when they are on offense so not doing much huh. And it sounds like his j was horrible.
ReplyDeleteLet's just say white Magic Johnson is running the show and he think he is in show down with Kevin Durant.
DeleteLin have 2 shots (1 contested jumper) and have less touches than Beverly
Sigh...
DeleteIt looks like they went with the lineup I suggested with Parsons at the PF position & had Bev in their to complement Lin and Harden; then Asik to hold down the fort.
ReplyDeleteJust like I suggested they are making sure that Asik or any big men stand in the paint to take any Westbrook drives and try to get a charge.
Lin is playing more under control and is looking to get teammates more involved.
They are starting to go for 3's and not penetrating the paint...harden tried a few times but was well defended...they need to go inside, otherwise this will be a blowout sooner than later
ReplyDeleteHarden misses free throw. If his offence continues to suck, his overall contribution is really poor combined with his lacking defence.
ReplyDeleteI don't even need to watch the game. They will keep Lin the starter but play him as little as possible. He's the first sub out again...this is Lin's fate until he gets a chance to lead as the main guard or truly improves his game big time where he has no holes.
ReplyDeleteI thought bev was subbed out first for delfino
DeleteBev first then lin and bev came back in for lin...it wasnt for long though
DeleteOk my bad....I need to give the Rockets the benefit of the doubt. They are just trying to win even if we just disagree with them sometimes....
DeleteOf course lin is out and pb in
ReplyDeleteAll 3 Rockets guard started so the rub rotation will change also. Give couple of minutes of rest to each Bev lin and harden
DeleteBev making shots, is anyone on him?
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like bev is really stepping it up. Doesn't sound promising for Lin at all.
ReplyDeleteOn offense, yes. On defense, he's killing them.
DeleteAnd Lin is stepping it up as well. Great passes/drives/defense.
Everyone is stepping it up.
Damn it sucks can't watch..
DeleteAs usual stupid haters who only count how many times the ball is going in will not comment on his defense
DeleteSolidz
DeleteDont feel bad not seeing this game...if lin is officially not the PG, it is pointless rooting for this team...i don't care if they lose but i care abt jeremy's performance though....i dont enjoy seeing lin play SG at all
I dont think we'll see lin play PG tonight
ReplyDeleteU mean the entire season.
DeleteOh man, dont tell me that... Just think im delusional
DeleteAll I hear on the radio is Beverley Beverley Beverley.
ReplyDeleteIt's gonna be hard for McHale to keep bev out if he continues to play like this.
ReplyDeleteTo keep Bev out? He love have Bev in the game as much as possible
DeleteWhen bev is in, he plays PG but when lin is the PG ( which was for a brief moment earlier) he was barely touching the ball...how can mchale explain this?
DeleteReggie Jackson with 2 wide open 3's. Seriously, Patrick Beverly gives up more points than he makes.
ReplyDeleteGood first quarter by Rockets, offensive points shared by all whereas Westbrook is 0-2 attempts but 2 points, KD with 15 points has more than of his team's points.
ReplyDeleteIt's obvious that they gotta shut him down. Parsons-Harden weak defenders. Easier said than done, that's why a Howard is needed on this team.
These refs piss me off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bbb bbbb!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteJeremy not looking to shoot or score in transition. Keeps passing the ball away every chance he gets.
ReplyDeleteBev still have played more minutes than Lin and took more shots (5) than Lin. Bev is not going a good job defensively and trying to much to show off on offensive side
ReplyDeleteNoone else is noticing it.
DeleteClearly a charge on Westbrook.
ReplyDeleteBut NBA refs wouldn't dare give Russ his 3rd. League orders are to protect the stars at all costs.
Westbrook is totally having his way with Beverly, shooting over him like he wasn't there.
DeleteSerge Ibaka is sitting on the bench. There are NO OKC SHOTBLOCKERS in the paint, Lin needs to attack the rim.
ReplyDeleteLin picked up 2 quick fouls.man! This suck!
ReplyDeleteI have to resort to stay watching and Jeremy's stat doesn't look too bad at all.
ReplyDeleteBut it sounds like the bev sanity in the radio.
LINNNNNNNNNN
ReplyDeletewow cheap shot by Bev. Is that allowed?
ReplyDeleteWasnt dirty. but he kind of did it after wb called timeout LOL.
DeleteWait for Perkins retaliation on Lin.
DeleteI'm liking Bev for that hit on WB. If WB self implodes in rage, we could have a game.
ReplyDeleteOr he could go MJ on him..
DeleteWB's judgment becomes even worse when he is mad. It adds variance to the game haha. I love seeing WB mad.
DeleteYes good job bev!
ReplyDeleteGo Bev.. I'm starting to like this dude alot !
ReplyDeleteSo impression of Lin so far. Anyone?
ReplyDeletestill a little nervous, gotta stop leaving the corner three wide open. That is the easiest shot to take. ironically the hardest for him.
DeleteGood! His stat lines looks good..
DeleteHe is not tentative tonight...
DeleteBev got embarrassed by Westbrook
ReplyDeleteWestbrook is a punk, but if he is punking Bev I won't mind
ReplyDeleteWell u gotta give bev credit. He stepped up his game!
ReplyDeletestop cheating
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteBeverley getting under Westbrook's skin!
DeleteLove it, and wonder if it is part of game plan.
:)
Im sure it is ;)
DeleteSmith is pumped up!! After the slam, he yelled on the face of his defender and got a T
ReplyDeleteThis IS PLAYOFFS!!!!!!!!!!! Lets GO!!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like bev is not backing down from rRW, who is probably calling him a scrub. U gotta respect a guy like that.
ReplyDeleteTbis sounds like a coming out game for bev.
ReplyDeleteThis is a GREAT GAME to watch. If it weren't for cheating refs, Rockets would have the lead.
ReplyDeleteLin and the Rockets got their SWAG back on. Win or lose, they're not scared anymore.
Lin playing with swag!!???
DeleteTo me, he is playing with I dont care like attitude..he does what he thinks is right for him to do, shoot the ball when u get it especially if u are open... That's what he is designated to do anyway, with bev as PG... I'd say he just needs to get those shots in and he will do well. But compared to game1, he is doing much better tonight...he is definitely not scared
Deletecoaching is genius ... team is playing psychological warfare.. OKC is ruffled at the moment ..hope this keeps up and we steal a win ! c'mon Jlin step up ..
ReplyDeleteIs it me or is the crowd yelling "Lets go Rockets"?
ReplyDeleteI'm liking this Westbrook hero ball :)
ReplyDeleteThis will go well for Houston.
Come On Jeremy, you need to attack whenever a big is switched on you.
ReplyDeleteU just can't discount bev's role in this game.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I like Bev more and more, getting under WB 's skin.
DeleteTrue, he's huge in getting offensive rebounds and annoying WB.
Deletelin can't hit open jumpers... becoming a liability.
ReplyDeletethat weird little hop again. He gotta work on that his summer.
ReplyDeleteLin and Harden trying to do too much, individually, in last two minutes.
ReplyDeleteAnd Delfino drive to hoop always makes me cringe.
Sigh! Lin just missed all that shots! Damn!
ReplyDelete3-7 is fine. It's not like he's getting calls like Westbrook or Harden either.
DeleteHe's playing very well. He makes one more 3 and he's playing great.
I hate Durant lol jk anyways Lin needs to hit those open shots.
ReplyDeleteGood that bev is playing well. But this bodes badly for Lin's future... Which is not necessarily a bad thing cause I'm sure Lin becomes more dispensable.
ReplyDeleteI agree, rather let him have a spectacular game or a real real bad game.
DeleteI have to say under Rockets system Bev or Lin is a toss up.
Deletelol, Bev is so overrated.
DeleteMCHALE DREW UP A PLAY!!!!
ReplyDeleteWHAT???
Lin missing too many open 3s and gave up 2 strong side open corner 3s by overhelping. Aside from that, he's playing fine.
ReplyDeleteAgree. Except Bev is playing better.
DeleteSounds like he just needs to make shots... Come on Lin. U gotta step up your game!
DeleteLol in the halftime report, they're not even bringing up Lin. Bev being compared with RWB. SMH. Lin better come out blazin!
DeleteLin's shots are not falling yet. He needs use floaters or get to the basket to get himself going.
DeleteLet's hope he catches fire in the 2nd half!
Lin is out of his comfort zone playing 'who can score first before OKC D is set' with minimal PnR.
ReplyDeleteHopefully he got into his groove and shoot at will in the 2nd half.
The small ball is certainly entertaining to watch!
ReplyDeleteThe pace is actually slower to night... less chances to turn the ball over.
ReplyDeleteSo bev was the variance
ReplyDeleteWhat do you guys think about what Kenny said about Lin's change in rolls?
ReplyDeleteIt makes me sick when they talk about Beverly like he's more capable of running the offense then Lin.
DeleteThe Kevin Durant commercial with the line, 'Mommy has something for daddy to do," always sounds sexual to me.
ReplyDeleteSometimes a commercial is just a commercial.
DeleteI can't be the only one who thinks this.
Deletethe look on mommy' face and her body language...lol
Deletesubliminals. it's deliberate.
DeleteDid you guys know you can watch the game on TNT Overtime?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.nba.com/tntovertime

NEW THREAD, GUYS
ReplyDeleteoh no. Lin looks to be in pain. Keith Jones looking at him.
ReplyDeleteThe Thunder is going to be in foul trouble.
ReplyDeleteThey can't key on Lin. They're going to Wesbrook 3 pointers.
Delfino is having a bad day!
ReplyDeleteBeverly picked up a third.
ReplyDeleteLin is going to be in soon.
aARON bROOKS!
ReplyDeleteThe best strategy is to get the Thunder in foul trouble!
ReplyDeleteThe point is to surprise the Thunder. Keep them off balance.
ReplyDeleteRender their planned strategy useless.
Out guessing them.
Every team needs to adjust and McHale is giving them a new look every quarter.
ReplyDeleteIt's a mistake to have Aaron Brook in. Wesbrook goes free. He can score a bundle.
ReplyDeleteBrooks is going to cost the game!
ReplyDeleteHell no defense with Brooks in.
ReplyDeleteRockets need Bev or Lin on the floor.
ReplyDeleteAB's TO was just horrible.
Unless Lin can play. This game is going to be a goner.
ReplyDeleteah wrong thread :)
ReplyDeleteWe need Asik back in too.
ReplyDeleteThis is the truning point when Bev picked up his 4th
What's wrong with Lin?
ReplyDelete
