It's funny because unless Mchale pulls Lin, Lin will get better stats than Harden...
Also in the 2nd half, all the bigs are passing and outletting to Lin...
It's good if G Smith and the other bigs are mad at Harden...they get the boards and decide which guard gets the ball, and right now they are feeding Lin.
Lin is smart developing a feel and trust with Asik. Now Asik is trying to hit Lin with more outlets and looking to pass to Lin as much if not more than to Harden.
LOL ESPN & Flip Saunders doing a cutaway of Harden and how awesome he is. Lin is going to end up with more points and more assists by end of game unless Mchale takes away his minutes... haha
No way, he needs to get his points or else McHale will bench him.
I'm just glad he didn't hurt his knee on that wet spot -- he told the ref about it but they couldn't dry it up until the next stoppage...then he slipped on that same spot later.
Denver can't play better than the Portland today. They are just fired up for us. It's their game of the season. Rebounding and playing like a team. They're good!
You are right. Problem is... couple of games back Lin got benched for PB. PB ended up scoring ZERO. If I remember correctly Rox lost the game and people on CF kept saying that the coach made the right decision -> playing the HOT HAND.
Since then people have been scrutinizing him - asking why the coach would bench Lin and let PB play 4th quarter.
They are not impressed because generally this style of play only works in regular season games. In the playoffs, it's all half court and intense defense. And in those games, you will see Lin throw some jumping errant passes.
And they are assuming Harden's offensive style will carry the day.
He's the reason for the Blazers contending for a playoffs spot earlier, certainly not Lillard as ESPN want to claim. Since he got injured and his level of play suffered, the Blazers as a team got much worse.
Harden does help but he's not THE reason for lin's improvement. Lin's the reason for his improvement. Lin did really well in NY too, so uhhhh yeah, it's not just because of Harden.
Whatever it takes to deflect credit and ability off Lin...the new thing is now saying Harden allows Lin to score and make assists....that's the new thing for the nonbelievers to say...
I truly truly hope Lin gets his chance and I know he will succeed.
Typical ESPN. They just credit like everything for the people they want to hype. If casual people don't notice by watching ESPN, they would probably think basketball is an individual sport. And someone like Lebron can play one on five and win a championship by himself.
maybe McFail just don't wanna let everyone show his real ball rotation including JLin in the 4th until the playoffs and since they want the 6th spot, he's doing all these rotations now including bev and lin together. double double pls for 3rd straight.
Harden is a defensive scrub. When it feels like Blazers is playing 5 against 4, it's because Harden is on the half way line waiting for the fast break. The only thing in his favour is that he can make the layup or get the foul.
Announcers are harping on Harden leading the team at half time. 19 points 3 assists, 3 TO's and not making his teammates better.
ReplyDeletereally??? Rockets or Blazers announcers?
DeleteBlazers announcers.
DeleteRockets obviously need to make adjustments on Lamarcus. Will McHale be able to do it? Doubt it.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see Lin with the 2nd unit again.
Harden starting off 3rd quarter with his 4th 3 pointer.
ReplyDeleteSmith picked up his 4th foul also quickly on an block attempt. McFail is leaving him in the game.
ReplyDeleteDamn, Harden is stinking it up. Another TO for him and he let his man blow by him for the alley oop.
ReplyDeletewow Harden's D is horrible, lack of effort..sad to see
ReplyDeleteLol Aldridge goaltend...Lin with 2 quick baskets 9 to 13 go Lin!
ReplyDeleteLin with the speed to blow by everybody and got the bucket. Lin has 13 points now.
ReplyDeleteDEFFENSE 3more to go for play offs spot...pls
ReplyDeletejeremy is hurt omg:(
DeleteLin 3!!!
ReplyDeleteLin is kind of hot!
ReplyDeleteI mean his shots are. = P
Delete@Etane - BAHAHAHAAHAHA that would sound questionable if not for quick save!
Deletelol
DeleteLin with another 3 pointer. He scored the last 7 points for Houston so far.
ReplyDeleteMatthews open on every possession!
ReplyDeleteYou mean "Harden's man".
DeleteAsik nice save off Lin's brik.
ReplyDeleteMan Flip Saunders is HORRIBLE as a TV announcer.
ReplyDeleteMonster board and dunk! Asik!
ReplyDeletewow that play by Lin was ugly...lucky Gsmith got the ball. Lin must just put up the floater...
ReplyDeleteI think that was a pass to Asik?
DeleteOmer is beasting now in the 3rd quarter. He has been grabbing rebounds, loose balls and dunking.
ReplyDeletewhy are they so much more complimentary towards lillard than lin? Lin's made some sweet plays.
ReplyDeleteHonestly at this point I don't give a shit. As long as Lin plays like this, I don't need no flip sanders to give Lin props.
DeleteHe's Asian...white and black people don't want to start worshipping dorky asians...
DeleteLin with a home run pass to Garcia for the dunk and his 6th assist.
ReplyDeleteMatthews is ALWAYS open!
ReplyDeleteSigh, Matthew open again to hit the 3 point shot.
ReplyDeletewhat is going on? I've never seen Harden pass it back to Lin so quickly! =)
ReplyDeleteLol @ Harden's "its not my problem" defense.
DeleteWow ugly drive but drew foul on Lillard nice :D
Jeremy plays BETTER when he's "banged up," lol.
ReplyDeleteHe started 0-3 with a good elbow...he's 6-7 since he had to ice it.
More assist from lin than harden pls
ReplyDeleteThen they will get the w
The big men are in foul trouble.
ReplyDeleteSend in TROB!!!
It's funny because unless Mchale pulls Lin, Lin will get better stats than Harden...
ReplyDeleteAlso in the 2nd half, all the bigs are passing and outletting to Lin...
They were lame to freeze out Lin in the first place. Ass kissers kissing up to Harden when they thought Harden was the man..
DeleteLin always seems to play better when he's banged up (bloody nose, lip, etc)
ReplyDeleteDMO?
ReplyDeleteWhat a joke!
McHale's probably going to bench Lin for that home run pass! LOL
ReplyDeleteWithout Parson,
ReplyDeleteour big man tends to get in foul trouble.
Lin is not over passing in this game. Finally..
ReplyDeleteYou can sleep good tonight, finally. = P
DeleteLOL ESPN & Flip Saunders doing a cutaway of Harden and how awesome he is. Lin is going to end up with more points and more assists by end of game unless Mchale takes away his minutes... haha
ReplyDeleteI thought Lin was a bit selfish on that break away play. Should've passed to Garcia for the assist.
ReplyDeleteI think he was gunning for the foul.
DeleteNo way, he needs to get his points or else McHale will bench him.
DeleteI'm just glad he didn't hurt his knee on that wet spot -- he told the ref about it but they couldn't dry it up until the next stoppage...then he slipped on that same spot later.
Garcia was not at the right angle for Lin to pass it. He could take Lillard and did not want to risk over passing.
DeleteDisagree. He needs to stop overpassibg. This is the way he should play.
Deleteredking, no it was a good play. These teams are starting to get used to Lin overpassing...
DeleteAlso even if Lin misses, Garcia has an easy putback.
It was the right play on that as Lillard committed to Lin late.
Heh I think he was purposely trying to draw a foul off Lillard.
DeleteThe defender did not commit to him so passing can result in TO.
DeleteGood play
Lin didn't exactly have a shot but Lillard was back pedaling, so Lin speeds up to force the contact for the foul.
DeleteLin really tried to get Harden going by giving back the ball several times to make plays but Wes did a good job throwing off his rhythm.
ReplyDeleteI guess it will eventually pay off to build Lin-Harden connection in the long run, just like it did for Asik.
They had a connection during Jan-Feb but Harden decided he can do it on his own.
DeleteHe had something to prove back then to score 40-50pts.
DeleteNow he has an ankle to save :)
And out goes Lin.
ReplyDeletePB will get rest of 3rd and 4th?
LOL, when Jeremy slipped on that wet spot...my heart jumped.
ReplyDeleteEspecially since you could hear him tell the ref, "Stop, stop!" and point to floor right before that.
DeleteBeverly in for LIn with 2:53 to go in the 3rd quarter. Let's see how he fairs with Harden.
ReplyDeletePortland actually played a good game.
ReplyDeleteThe Rox is just better.
oh oh the 4th q allergy lol ...mchale
ReplyDeleteIt's possible that Lin might start the 4th.
Deletehe'll come back. this was a good time to give him rest.
Deletethey wer out pleyed right now.
Deleteok start the 4th:)
Yup he starts the 4th.
DeleteDmo stop running towards the perimeter when the PG brings the ball up!
ReplyDeleteWow PB got pwned by Lillard.
ReplyDeleteOh man this looks bad.
ROCKETS.COM, "Harden's Big Night and Beverly shut down Lillard, helped Rockets past Trailblazer"
DeleteGSW beat Phoenix so Houston need to win this game because tomorrow will be a less winnable game on a back to back with Denver.
ReplyDeleteDenver can't play better than the Portland today.
DeleteThey are just fired up for us.
It's their game of the season.
Rebounding and playing like a team.
They're good!
Man DMO has been looking horrible lately...
ReplyDeleteLol ugly plays by Portland allows them to stretch lead back out.
ReplyDeleteLin will sit 4q.
Beverly actually did some good hustling during that 3rd quarter stretch to give Houston 2nd chance opportunities.
ReplyDeleteLol! Beverly with the steal.
ReplyDeleteI hope the Rox stick together in the 4th and blow out the trailblazers/
ReplyDeleteAnd wow did offense go down the drain when Lin sat?
ReplyDeleteWE need to stop clowning on PBev. He does a lot of good things...Its not TD v. Lin or bev v. Lin...
ReplyDeleteMchale needs to simply use Lin better. PBev actually looks better playing with Lin than Harden...
I hope we see Lin start the 4th Again and watch the lead balloon.
I liked bev Lin line up..
DeleteIts not Lin vs PB
DeleteIts just PB vs himself.
Bev's offensive rebounds and steal at the end of 3Q were his strength!
DeleteHe may not have Lin's court vision but he definitely gave a lot of energy and hustle.
Bev's defense enhanced by Lin when they play together.
DeleteIt's probably because Lin will scream at Bev if Bev does that ugly fake Harden defense that Bev customarily does.
You are right. Problem is... couple of games back Lin got benched for PB. PB ended up scoring ZERO. If I remember correctly Rox lost the game and people on CF kept saying that the coach made the right decision -> playing the HOT HAND.
DeleteSince then people have been scrutinizing him - asking why the coach would bench Lin and let PB play 4th quarter.
Yup no use demonizing PB or even Harden for that matter. Harden's ball hogging is enabled by McHell. PB is just an innocent bystander.
DeleteFor stats purposes and for selfish reasons, I need Lin to get two more assists.
ReplyDeleteOur man started the fourth.
ReplyDeleteGo Lin!
now we're all allergic...
ReplyDeleteLin & Bev lineup again with Harden resting.
ReplyDeleteDouble Double for Jlin at the end, I called it.
ReplyDeleteCalling it with 11 mins left in the game doesn't mean much = P.
Deleteyou forgot Mchale's tendency of benching Lin
DeleteI'm soooo glad seeing Batum wearing suit tonight :)
ReplyDeleteIMO Portland is feeling the pain with Batum sitting out...
ReplyDeletejared jeffries on the bench! watching his bff Jeremy play
ReplyDeleteTime to blow the game open so the starters can rest for tomorrow's game!
ReplyDeletetoo much lillard dickriding.
ReplyDeleteNice Lin -> Smith!
ReplyDeleteLin with a great alley oop pass to G. Smith. 7 assists now.
ReplyDeleteLin has a connection with GS.
ReplyDeleteLin said to GS "You do as I say and I will make you rich like Tyson Chandler".
DeleteWow careless TO by Lin.
ReplyDeletetrying to much to give DMo the ball
DeleteYeah DMO needs to sit.
DeleteI like how it didn't phase him and he goes right back on the attack and another basket for Rockets.
DeleteDmo needs to learn how to play his position.
DeleteLin with another assist to G. Smith.
ReplyDeleteThat G Smith....wow he is a good inside scorer..
ReplyDeleteAnd oh, Flip Saunders hates Lin...
Greg smith gotta buy Lin dinner...damn he is making him look really good.
ReplyDeleteHis free throw has gotten better too.
DeleteJeremy makes everybody around him better :)
DeleteHaha.. the announcers said, "Time to make a run when Harden sits" as Greg Smith made the layup.
ReplyDeleteNO Flip SAunders did...
DeleteThese ESPN announcers sounded like POR announcers
Delete"Flip" is such an appropriate name...the reverse of everything he's saying is true.
Deletewhy are these announcers acting like POR's in the lead?
ReplyDeleteAlmost another assist to G. Smith from Lin. Lin really fast at pushing the ball and penetrating.
ReplyDeleteGive me double double
ReplyDeletehope they can pull jlin out soon so he can get some rest
ReplyDeleteHe sat out for 3 mins not including the break between 3Q-4Q.
DeleteWhen Harden sat, Rox lead by 20. When Lin sat, the lead dropped to about 5. Commentators couldn't be that stupid could they?
ReplyDeleteThey are not impressed because generally this style of play only works in regular season games. In the playoffs, it's all half court and intense defense. And in those games, you will see Lin throw some jumping errant passes.
DeleteAnd they are assuming Harden's offensive style will carry the day.
Seriously Flip Saunders is not a Lin fan haha...THat other guy is a Lin fan or at least a fair announcer who sees Lin played well...
ReplyDeleteThe 2 or 3 times he left it open for Flip to talk about Lin, Flip just didn't talk and there was a pause LOL.
Well at least it's not Jon Barry....
Flip Saunders is really coming off as someone who barely did any research before this game.
ReplyDeleteWhat the commentators are saying about the number of Lin's assists is one less than what is on ESPN scorecenter. FYI.
ReplyDeleteAnd commentators saying Portland need to try to make a run with Harden sitting. HA. SMH. Not with Lin on the floor.
Well everyone knows you make a run WITH HARDEN ON THE FLOOR, NOT WITHOUT!
DeleteWhy, because Houston defense is tougher with Harden OFF the floor lol!
DeleteActually, Beverley pairs very well with Lin. I like it.
ReplyDeleteIt lets Lin set up in the half court without worrying about bringing the ball up.
DeleteDMo needs to sit!
ReplyDeleteGoddammit Memphis, you have to win
ReplyDeleteLin just spun in the paint. Last time he did that he got benched right away.
ReplyDeletelol
DeleteThis kid is making it look easy now.
ReplyDeleteCrowd Ohhhing and ahhhhing that move by Lin for 2.
ReplyDeleteGS fouls out but had a great game.
ReplyDeletePortland seriously missed Batum. He's an one man defensive wrecking crew. A great playmaker and shooter on offense as well.
ReplyDeleteHe's the reason for the Blazers contending for a playoffs spot earlier, certainly not Lillard as ESPN want to claim. Since he got injured and his level of play suffered, the Blazers as a team got much worse.
DeleteLin's defender is still looking for Lin
ReplyDeleteTake that shot lin
ReplyDeleteLin should of shot...What happened to that teardrop of his...ANd damned that Harden losing the ball in the first place.
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna kill flip Saunders.. Harden is the reason for Lin's improvement??
ReplyDeleteThat is the same stupid shit SAS says... God flip is the worst announcer I heard this year!
DeleteHe's just box-score reading. Sufficient PG role with 13pts/6asts, that's all you want to ask for
DeleteHarden does help but he's not THE reason for lin's improvement. Lin's the reason for his improvement. Lin did really well in NY too, so uhhhh yeah, it's not just because of Harden.
DeleteGod.
Whatever it takes to deflect credit and ability off Lin...the new thing is now saying Harden allows Lin to score and make assists....that's the new thing for the nonbelievers to say...
DeleteI truly truly hope Lin gets his chance and I know he will succeed.
Not as dumb as saying McHell is reason for Lin's improvement.
DeleteFcxxxking saunders, totally pissing me off, he has zero clue, zero about rockets
DeleteTypical ESPN. They just credit like everything for the people they want to hype. If casual people don't notice by watching ESPN, they would probably think basketball is an individual sport. And someone like Lebron can play one on five and win a championship by himself.
DeleteLin's reverse layup!!!!!
ReplyDeleteVery cooooooool
DeleteThat under the basket view was sooo Linsanity..
Delete3 Guards lmao, bad rotation for tomorrows game
ReplyDeleteTake Dmo out for Tjones please.
ReplyDeleteLIN!
ReplyDeletethis is fucking awesome, on national tv.
ReplyDeleteLin is balling tonight. He needs 2 more assists. D-Mo can't shoot now.
DeleteDAMN YOU MCHALE!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't you let him play fourth quarters before???
Seriously, this may be the FIRST TIME EVER McHale has let Lin start the 4th.
[Morpheus Voice from The Matrix]
Delete"NOW DO YOU BELIEVE MCHALE???"
Beverly is better than Anderson.
ReplyDeleteBeverly has better hands.
If DMo made his shots, Lin would have his double-double!
ReplyDelete22pts/8asts now
Ha! commentators joked on DMo - he's missed all his 3 pointers except the time violation one.
ReplyDeleteIf DMo was actually good, Lin would have a double double already.
ReplyDeleteGood to see Harden and Lin laughing!
ReplyDeleteOmer's first assist in the game!
Deleteoh no, not another PG :)
DeleteMotion offense. Everyone is a PG = P.
DeleteAsik is a fast improving outlet passer. Leaps and bounds better than the start of the year.
ReplyDeleteHis strength and flexibility is improving. Earlier he was slouching and his arms were flabby. Now he stands and jumps straight up.
DeleteHarden and Lin laughing it up on the fast break where Harden got fouled and got an AND 1.
ReplyDeleteLin is like dude I was gonna go up for an alley.
DeleteHarden and Lin sharing a laugh after that "and 1". That was nice to see.
ReplyDeleteVeteran creating that winning atmosphere.
Deleteok time to bench the starters
ReplyDeleteMan, McHale really wants to develop DMo by leaving him on the floor playing so badly
ReplyDeleteYeah what's deal with that. He really played bad.
DeleteLin and Harden -> big smiles!
ReplyDeleteThis 4th quarter rotation made sense ...
ReplyDeleteJeremy, double-doubles please.....
ReplyDeleteOkay McHale, up 20 with 5 minutes left. You can pull Lin, Asik and Harden.
ReplyDeleteBev, Anderson, Garcia, TJones, DMo got this!
Agree. McHell always too shy to give his bench players minutes.
DeleteHe either gives them too much or too little.
Deletemaybe McFail just don't wanna let everyone show his real ball rotation including JLin in the 4th until the playoffs and since they want the 6th spot, he's doing all these rotations now including bev and lin together. double double pls for 3rd straight.
ReplyDeleteHarden is a defensive scrub. When it feels like Blazers is playing 5 against 4, it's because Harden is on the half way line waiting for the fast break. The only thing in his favour is that he can make the layup or get the foul.
ReplyDeleteWell its more like 5 vs 4.5, Lin is 1.5 trying to pick up Harden's slack :D
DeleteOh oh Lin's homerun pass got intercepted...McHale gunna flip out now
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, Beverly feeding D-Mo and he makes the 3. Lin feeds D-Mo and he bricks.
ReplyDeleteLOL Lin almost made the pass of the year!
ReplyDeleteCross court bounce pass to Harden but was intercepted.
DeleteThat's it Lin is getting benched for that crazy pass attempt.
ReplyDeleteThat pass was awesome! Too bad it didn't connect.
DeleteHehe, not really. If he gets benched, it'll be because they're up 20 with under 4m.
DeleteCome on, Jeremy! Why u gotta mess up your TO count with a silly showboat pass!!! Haha, who cares, he BEASTED today...tore the Blazers apart.
ReplyDeleteIt could've been play of the week!
DeleteLakers won over grizzles by 2 pts.
ReplyDelete20 pts lead with 5 min left.
ReplyDeleteStarters will probably sit soon to save their legs for Denver tomorrow.
It would be the right move.
Yeah u'd think he would sit everyone,
Deletescrub time!!!
ReplyDeletebench starters pleeease!!
ReplyDelete
