I saw the same thing just now. To bad I would love to see our jlin have a great game. He must be hurting pretty bad to stay out of this game I'm sure he wants to play really badly. Does not look good for the Rockets, I think they loose tonight and that's the season.
I hope jlin does not spend to much time in asia this year. I really want him to focus on his shooting, and I'd love to see him get some additional shooting coaches. Whoever Curry is using thats who jlin needs ;-)
Seriously what in the hell is wrong with you people who think Asia is the problem!? You should be worrying if Lin will overwork or over train himself or not instead the other way around! We're talking about JLin here, not Allen Iverson for crying out loud
Good for Lin. Hopefully they can win and prolong this series. Sucks overall for his progression though. He deserved to compete at the highest level.
I think people have to realize that the elbow to the chest was like being in a major car accident except that there is no airbag to save you (elbow also creates more pressure than a steering wheel).
you have got to be kidding me.. 5 days for an elbow to the chest? will this carry over to next season perhaps? even the webster trainer guy was trying to suppress laughter.
The retarded, inbred low IQ troll is back. You pathetic Lin hater, obsessing over Lin on a Lin fan site. You thirsty groupie. GTFO. It's one thing to follow a player you like but to spend your days obsessing over a player you hate is damn embarrassing.
Are you jealous and fearful of JLin's success? After all, he is a millionaire, an Ivy League graduate, tall, athletic, and one of the most popular athletes in the world.
I personally think that it is not his injury that holding him back from starting the game or wanting to play in the game but actually more of ego and selfishness from the coaching staff and the rest of the team. In their minds, they already conclude that Lin cannot contribute in the game anymore of which shows just how much confidence The Rockets have in Lin. Lin being a great big heart person that he is, accepts it and choose to take the high road.
Oh well, a fitting end for a mostly disappointing season.
No it's based on what he did ( or did not do) in the last game. Fair is fair. He gave it a go, couldn't do much, sucks for us fans, but is the right move on their end.
Like bamboo said, I'm watching the game to see how the team does without Lin. Bev needs to stay out of foul trouble and stop being so over zealous on the defensive end as the starting player.
But the game will come down to how harden does because no matter what people say this is a harden centric offense. So Jeremy being out won't hurt as much.
Jetemy is most effective with the ball in his hands. So since this wasn't happening anyways, I don't think it matters too much in the end.
Yes agreed sorry but that does not make sense. This is the playoffs you just can't contribute if your injured. I mean 80+ games he's started so if he could play the coaching staff would not hold him back now.
Its just MY OWN conclusion for being observer from OUTSIDE and picking up various hints from interviews and article around internet.
The key words they used are "hurting the team" that sucked Jeremy's will from playing, not just his current physical condition. Take or leave it at that but I'll be glad if I can be proven wrong later
Lin's injury is not something that goes away or improves dramatically over night. To read his not playing tonight as anything more than that is over reading it.
HY you are a true Lin fan. The kid proved a ton this year and had countless clutch 3's and was over 65% from 3pt land in the last 5 minutes when gave was close for most of the season (until Laker game).
I was pleasantly surprised and am happy with his overcoming immense adversity again.
Howard Chen @ho_chenCSN McHale was pretty funny during his pregame interview. @HoustonRockets twitter site says Lin out, Cisco starting. McHale says we'll see lol. 5:55 PM - 29 Apr 13

Frustrating finish to a frustrating season. I just hope he'll have a chance to PLAY HIS ACTUAL POSITION in the next couple years.
That's all we ask, Morey and McHale. Just let your starting PG play the position of PG. Crazy, I know. But how about you try it for one season and see how it works out? If he fails in the role, then trade him, cut him, whatever.
All evidence so far suggests he'd put up All-Star stats and win games as THE point guard instead of A point guard...but Houston never learns. Not sure they ever will. Even so, Jeremy is poised for an efficient a 16/6 next year despite egregious misusage by the Rockets.
If you look at the horrible losing streak during the regular season -- it was obvious that the common denominator of those games was Lin's reduced role. Yep, the Rox coaches/management are pretty stupid.
Look guys just accept it--Lin's really hurt. McHale is not so evil that he does not want Lin to play. Accept it. He ain't playing tonight. I hope Beverly chokes, harden sucks and they get blown out by 50. Lin deserves better and let's hope that's the last of him in a Rockets uniform. Fuck the Rockets and fuck McHale an Harden. They will get their comeuppance--trust me, god works in mysterious ways.
This is exactly the way the Rox management fails Lin every time. He tries to tough it out and gets bad press for not being able to perform to his best. Today he decides to sit instead of " burdening the team with his presence" and haters are calling him soft. All it takes is for Mchale to say a couple of things about how he gives credit to Lin for trying to play through the pain and how he is such a team player to think of the good of the team first to sit out.
HY, too bad.

Delete@GLENN/ Mchale neutered~ Stop trolling.

DeleteOh wow, Lin's troll is even more dedicated than some of us fans!
DeleteHe's reading every post and comment just so he has something to say.
Love it! When can I be successful enough to have my own troll? (And a troll that trolls fan sites haha)

Lin will be on the active list, but that was the plan all along with Ohlbrecht, White to remain inactive.
The only good thing about this is to see how Beverly and the other point guard perform. It will be interesting to see.
ReplyDeleteHere's to victory. If Bev stays out of foul trouble, he'll make an impact.
DeleteDisappointed. Can't wait to see what happens during the off season.

ReplyDeleteI still see Lin's name on screen, though.
HY. Don't worry about Lin anymore. Too much stress!
DeleteJust enjoy the game without any expectations!

Thx, Solidz75, I'll try to enjoy, doubt it, though. I am not spending 1K to see someone else taking his place.
DeleteNow, the screen does replace Lin with Garcia, arghhhhh again......

Deletethere's still hope!!
DeleteHy,
DeleteTry to enjoy as much as you can. Maybe you can see how Jeremy cheers on his team.
Go say hi to Lin, shake hand with him and take lots of pictures with him. Don't be shy. Make your money well spent.
DeleteWow.. 1k?? Have u bought any signed Jeremy Lin memorabilia? U could've gotten a lot of items for that price.

Ho Chen is really preying on the Asian fans to watch the game. Give me abreak.
DeleteWell, he's right fans will be turning away in droves, without JLin playing...
DeleteLin wants to play, great person!
ReplyDeleteConfusion abounds....

Deletedon't even bother compete with the fembot lol
DeleteHey now
Delete:)
I think he will play, maybe limited minutes, lets see.
DeleteNBA and Rockets (and all of your paying advertisers), you have lost one viewer for the rest of the playoffs. I think I will go read a book.
ReplyDeleteMaybe let Lin play for the last minute and hit a buzzer beat ?
ReplyDeleteFrustrating finish to a frustrating season. I just hope he'll have a chance to PLAY HIS ACTUAL POSITION in the next couple years.

After 82 games (not to mention Linsanity last year), they are pretty dense.

DeleteLin does not even come out for the shootaround.
ReplyDelete:(
DeleteHe did the shootaround in Saturday game, before both first and second half, but not today???
Deleteafter Howard's tweet, I hope Lin makes a surprise in the 2nd half? lol
Deleteidk but w.e he had a good season.
Feel bad for you :(
No hope he will play in second half, he is in suit.
DeleteGuesd I won't be watching...time to catch up on defiance and walking dead
ReplyDeleteI should have downloaded some movies to watch during the game :-(
ReplyDeleteSucks...sucks
