  1. If Harden has an injured right foot, why not ask Lin to shoulder more of the playmaking?

  3. Lin usually don't get those kind of foul calls.

    ReplyDelete
  4. wow.... put the words "Harden" and "ineffective" together and Jason Friedman will notice you on Twitter.

  5. Lin for 3!! Gutsy effort by Lin after the miss.

    1. He shouldn't have hesitated on that 1st try. Hesitating makes for a low percentage jumper.

    1. Let me clarify... Jeremy and Harden in the third (on offense)!

      Delete
  7. Harden is on fire from the field...and finding Jeremy too.

But his defense remains awful. He totally fell asleep AGAIN giving up yet another wide-open 3.

  8. Watch McHale bench Lin for most of the 4th...

    ReplyDelete
  9. I absolutely love How Lin shot the 3 twice in a row; shows guts and confidence.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Jeremy Worthy - Houston's new SG, made an excellent drive to the basket before kicking it out to Delfino...

    1. Great drive by Lin before the end of the 3rd quarter. I suspect that Beverly will be in for Lin at the start of the 4th.

      Delete
    2. I think with Houston behind McHell would be too chicken to keep Lin on the bench for long.

  11. MORE LIN

    MORE WIN

Look how good the Rockets look when Jeremy takes over.

    1. I'm scared McHale is gonna bench Jeremy for the next 6 minutes.

      ...game over if that happens.

    2. he will. they want this game to be all about Harden

  12. Rockets Better win this game. Seriouslly. Btw great play by Lin.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Only Harden and Lin came to play tonight with 27 and 19 pts at the end of 3Q.

Even Delfino is not confident in his 3PT shooting.

Can the Rockets win with defense and Harden/Lin scoring? This gets to be interesting.

  14. Mchale is wearing out Harden at the moment, I bet anyone that Harden is going to get injured during the playoff.

    2. yes, there is a conspiracy theory that McHale wants to make Lin to be the hero in the playoff when Harden got run to the ground for overplaying.

    3. kidding on 80M man?

    4. I would feel bad if Harden can't play in the playoffs. good guy, just selfish that is all.

      Delete
    5. not JH's fault being selfish....it's Mcfail's.

  15. When do you guys think Lin is coming back, ha!

    ReplyDelete
  16. HEY KEVIN

SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU PLAY LIN???

    Finally.

    ReplyDelete
  17. That was a big risk by Lin taken. Left two people wide open in the corner... good thing he stripped Rubio.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Not a risk at all. Give Rubio room and he'll find the open man.

Jeremy's the best defender on his team. He's also a steal-maven.

It's best that he take control of the possession instead of merely "doing his job" and forcing someone else to play defense.

      Delete
  18. Great pass by Lin to Smith ... who can't finish but gets the foul call.

    ReplyDelete
  19. T-wolves playing with thee PGs; Ridnour, Barea and Rubio. Houston should counter, but they have Harden, Lin and Parsons with Delfino and Greg Smith.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Clever inside joke. Rockets always have a 3 PG lineup every day they play! ;)

      Delete
  20. Jeremy should have at least 7 assists tonight -- if the Rockets bigs even made 2/3 of the dunks and layups he gave them.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Good evening guys. Has Rubio been flopping tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  22. wow Jeremy is such a playmaker. even if his team mates cost him several assists, he still feeds them the ball.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Jeremy on Barea and Harden on Rubio, interesting...

    ReplyDelete
  24. Omg I'm so excited
    Lin is really 4q man

    ReplyDelete
  25. No! McHale is going small ball.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Last few minutes you can see how Lin can be so effective as an off ball defender (~ free safety).

He dislodged a few balls from other team, though may not have gotten credit for the steal.

Those translate into taking away possessions from the other team, and giving extra ones for Rockets.

He needs to keep working on being able to knock down those wide open 3s, so they end up being daggers into the other team.

Lin's signature move down the clutch will be grabbing a rebound away from Timberwolves big then pushing ball to initiate offense.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey Joe, remember your fear of Rubio's wingspan!

      See? NOTHING to worry about!

      Delete
  27. Parsons literally kissed Harden's butt to sell that offensive charge! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  28. Replies
    1. That one was actually closer to a real offensive charge than all the other flops.

      Delete
    2. ;) You know - the boy who cried timberwolves...

      Delete
    3. That's another good one Willy!

      Delete
  29. i know everyone's happy with Lin's offense but is this really how they're gonna play Lin now that he can shoot? Dribble the ball up, pass to Harden and wait for him to, maybe pass it back to Lin?

Shouldn't Lin be initiating the offense and Harden finishing? w/e.

    1. Realize that Rubio is working with a very depleted roster, but he doesn't seem to change the game the way Jeremy can.

Slick passer, but doesn't necessarily make everyone around him better.

      Lin, on the other hand,...

    4. Bill Worrell: "Harden took them on his back and won it..."

LOL. Jeremy was the MVP by far. Harden was AMAZING on offense and garbage on defense.

But Jeremy was AMAZING on defense and GREAT on offense.

      Delete
    5. Harden makes guys better like this:

      1) His utter refusal to play defense makes players on the opposing team better (RIDNOUR??????)

      2) Jeremy Lin gets put in the game to offset Harden's defense. He yells at Harden, yells at teammates.

      3) Meanwhile Jeremy Lin shuts down his man, quarterbacks the team on both ends, and wins the game.

See? Less Harden defense equals MORE JEREMY LIN!

OK, this is a BS post of mine.

  42. Thank god I DVR this game so that I can savior it and watch it. 20 points behind and they came back due to the efforts of Harden and Lin. Harden got hot first and Lin followed suit.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Harden attacts tons of defense, you don't think that benefits the team as a whole?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Only when he passes quickly out of it...which he didn't at all for the first half of the season. And is only NOW doing it half the time.

Jeremy also draws double-teams constantly and is CONSTANTLY making up for Harden and others' terrible defense with his help.

Jeremy helps Harden WAY MORE than Harden helps Jeremy. We know this because of Linsanity last year. Jeremy doesn't need stars or even starts to win and put up stats.

      Delete
    2. I give credit where credit is due and can observe the talents and accolades of players other than my favorite player in the NBA, Jeremy Lin. Harden is a top 5 shooting guard in the NBA and you can rest assured he attracts a crap load of attention on the defensive ends and this does open up opportunities for the rest of the players. Bottom line is what Drexler said is accurate. Not sure why this should create controversy!

Lin just daring McHale to sit him .. Betta recognize McHake.

  47. McHale FINALLY plays Jeremy during crunch time...and the Rockets win.

I'm gonna love watching the ClutchFans Lin-Haters trying to explain why that is...lol.

WAKE UP MCHALE. YOUR ONLY TWO-WAY STAR IS #7.

Jeremy got some nice assists at the end. But he should have had 12+ with even average big men.

    2. @zxcvb:

They will say that whatever JLin did - someone else could have done better. In their minds the world is crowded with Linsanity kind of guys...

      Delete
    3. Did you see Rubio trying to foul out Harden, so that the Rox have only Lin to deal with? Rubio finally got the blocking call for flopping.

It was frustrating for a while, when every Wolves were guarded. Lin would guard Rubio doing a nice job, then Rubio would get a screen help from a guy, then Rubio would kick it to a wide open 3-point guy, then WHAM BANG! Ugh.... It took a long time for McHhale to notice - actually Lin is the one probably noticed it.

    4. Yeah, I don't get upset at Clutch Fans...I just go there for laughs. Like watching Sarah Palin or Glenn Beck, lol.

    5. I thought the NBA banned flopping. Rubio should get a fine or at least a warning for his obvious flops.

  48. Rubio is the Meryl Streep of the NBA.

I almost admire his 24/7 flopping -- he's so committed and good at faking!

    3. It's such a disgrace to the game. It comes from European football/soccer tradition.

All the Euro players do it. And it's the only reason Rubio doesn't average 25% shooting and 5ppg. It also hurts the opposing PG's stats since they often have to sit out with foul trouble or stop attacking the rim.

      He's very, very smart...just a flopping disgrace.

      Delete
    4. I like Rubio, but more off court. who's directing Les Miserubio? Spike Lee?

    5. He's from Barcelona! i swear all players on FC Barcelona perfected the art of diving/flopping.

      Delete
    6. Rubio can't shoot at all. Man he's j's are atrocious..

      Delete
    7. People criticize Jeremy for his jumpshot ... Rubio's J is infinitely worse, it's like even a simple 20 ft. jumper is like watching Dwight Howard hit one, because it's so rare.

Lin has worked very hard on his shot, and it shows, he hit 3 threes, and should've had 4 if the tip of his foot wasn't on the line.

Did y'all see the possession where he hesitated on a 3-pointer and missed it ... then Rockets got the rebound and passed it to Lin again, he shot without hesitation and hit it bullseye.

      Delete
    8. Bad habit that hesitation - from early in the season. He just gotta take it. He is now a decent shooter!

      Delete
  49. Lin's defense was stellar in the second half. Except for that one foul on Rubio, he gave up almost no dribble drives, conceded only long 2s, contested everything, got momentum-shifting steals.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Even that foul was BS. Jeremy would never get that call from refs. Nor would anyone else on either team except Harden.

Jeremy played a perfect game except for 2 bad TOs in the 2nd quarter. And McHale deserves as much blame for that -- yanking a guy who's hot for 7 minutes...the muscles tense up and he tries to do too much with the game slipping away.

See what happens when you only rest lin for 3-5 minutes??? I feel like KHuang in that I'm so right about this -- the muscles stiffen if you sit too long. This time, McHale brought him back properly and he went MVP-level on the Wolves.

Jeremy, properly used, would be averaging 18p/7a/2.5s in his sleep. But McHale refuses to treat him like a starting PG.

      Delete
    2. When it comes to the Hardliners, it's hard to beat them when Magic and Michael are on top of their games.

      Delete
  50. McHale will probably never learn.

And this game will change little for this season. Maybe nothing.

But Les and Morey are watching. And it's only a matter of time before Jeremy overcomes yet another racist obstacle to stardom. It'll probably take this year and next year.

When he makes $15M, he'll be allowed to play like this every night. Only then will there be no more sitting during crunch time. No more 9 minute rests. Much less Derek Fisher duty.

Then you'll win games in the 3rd quarter!

    3. After a game like this obsessing over Mchale is a buzz kill.

      Delete
    4. Did u see harden talk about defense on nba tv? Lol. We gotta play better d. Okay harden

Harden may get all the glory but Morey know who willed this team to a win.

      Delete
    5. I actually like how McHale sounded like he's rapping lol
"... made me mad","... Rockets land"

      Delete
    6. So true. McHale is so lucky to have Jeremy and Asik doing all the work on D. Those two erase the other 3 guys' constant mistakes.

I wish ONE damn reporter would man up and ask him: "You actually played Jeremy for the majority of the 4th instead of sitting him for 8+minutes...you think that helped?"

    1. Yup. And McHale got a technical foul when he mentioned to the refs that Jeremy was fouled by Rubio. Maybe he didn't think he would get a technical lol.

    2. That might honestly be the FIRST time McHale has given Jeremy a compliment that wasn't backhanded.

      Delete
    3. McHale is finally seeing the light. Took almost a season to see it.. But better late than never. Just like Pringles became a believer, McHale is turning!

      Delete
    4. And that tech might be the first time I've seen McHale stand up for Jeremy after being smacked with no foul.

Be still my heart! Probably won't change anything, though. Beverly will hit 2 treys next game and play the whole 4th quarter.

      Delete
    5. That's a huge compliment, what are you talking about?

      Delete
    6. It's a good start for McHale... to give credit where credit is due regarding JLin, but I'm not sold on him. His job is on the line if the Rockets don't make the playoffs again this year. I suspect he will revert back to his old ways once his job is secured and he remains head coach next season.

      Delete
    7. McHale's compliment is huge, since that (hopefully) means that Lin won't be subbed out for 'defensive reasons' in the future.
