  3. I would love a blow out but really wanted to see LIn put up some good stats tonight

  4. Haha when Harden calls a play - turnover. Haha look at Jeremy's face he's thinking, "If I had the ball that wouldn't have happened"

    ReplyDelete
  5. Chandler sucks when he dribbles more than three times.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Harden, Omer and Lin each with 13 points.

    ReplyDelete
  7. First alley oop I seen from Harden to Parsons. We need more of those.

  9. Parsons' ball-handling TO and Harden's passing TO almost let the Suns to come back.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Lin with a steal after Harden got a TO from an attempted pass to Greg Smith. Lin ran the floor with D-Mo and rewarded D-Mo with a nifty bounce pass which D-Mo scored on a quick jump hook shot.

  11. Sampson getting really touchy feely with Lin tonight.

    1. I'm lovin' it!

Jeremy seems to be winning him over.

      McHale remains unconvinced.

    2. Haha a lot of JLin fans will be happy [and weirded-out]

  12. finally, less Harden ISO play and more team plays, seems like sampson and garcia really love lin, love that steal and no look pass by lin.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Sampson is loving Lin now!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Team getting a little bit out of control on offense.

Too much time left in game to ease up and try and coast.

Lin playing great game till he chucked that 3 off pass from Harden.

Unless shot clock was about to expire, he should have kept putting pressure on Suns defense; they are on their heels and reeling a bit.

  15. Jeremy's awesome.
He's doing everything and doing everything well. :)

  16. Nice steal n no look pass to DMo..wooooooo

  17. If it wasn't for all the turnovers on risky passes in transition ... Rockets would be up by 30 points!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Need to get harden out. Put ab in.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Bev bricked but he looks pretty good tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yeah Morey I dare u to trade Lin ...

    ReplyDelete
  21. Team looks great. Everyone spreading the floor. GS did a decent PnR and was wide open under the rim but didn't get the pass. Dmo scored tho.

    3. espn box score behind? it says CP has 9 pts but announcer said all Houston starts are in double digits.

    4. @Etane:

DMO 10pts? What game are you watching man? :)

    5. This is what playing with JLin does for you. CP career high, DMo career high... ;)

    6. I mean CP career high previously.

  22. God if Jeremy can play like this every night...

    1. Perspective... it's against the Suns. But I hope he can continue to play aggressive and be allowed to run the offense. The team looked a lot better with him doing his thing lol.

      Delete
    2. Dear god.. if there's somebody out there... somebody to hear Solidz' prayer...

      Delete
    3. He could if they let him handle the ball every night.

Instead, he handles the ball 30-40% of the games.

      Delete
    4. Yeah imagine if Lin was allowed to play like a traditional pg? Cp3 who?

      Delete
  23. So, is there going to be an uproar if Lin sits whole fourth quarter, and Aaron Brooks gets his playing time tonight? :)

Patrick Beverley put his head down on his previous drive. Haven't noticed whether he does that always, but obviously can't see court that way (Raymond Felton also seems to put his head down and then barrel towards basket).

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That's a nice observation. That's definitely true for Felton.

      Delete
    2. I wouldnt mind. Lin had a good game with good pt. Rox are leading big. Brooks is a vet with lots of experience.

      Delete
    3. Speaking of Felton he's back in Portland soon. Can't wait to see how he performs...

      Delete
    4. Felton was hating on Portland in the media too haha

      Delete
    5. Yeah I think he is gonna end up choking .. He is setting himself for it.

    1. He was too good for his own good -- no 4th quarter tonight.

Better bring it extra strong for next game against Minny.

  28. I'm really impressed with how Asik ran on the other end and grabbed the offensive rebound for Delfino's 3.

Asik's conditioning is really good for a big man. Much better than DHoward.

    ReplyDelete
  29. T-Rob with a couple of nifty moves in the 4th quarter. Beverly with a steal but got blocked by Beasley.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Lin should be done for the night. When he plays well and is driving to the basket and people follow they dominate.

    ReplyDelete
  31. This is like a cp3 game for him.

  33. Lakers lost to the Hawks 96-92...

  34. Lin looked good - offensively and defensively, shut down Dragic... Dragic looks like he's crying all the time.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thats because he is crying all the time

      Delete
    2. Yup.. Only thing he needs to stop doing is leaving his man. Other than that he was the best player tonight.

      Delete
    3. seriously, he's not used to being shut down like that. too bad the refs helped him with the first game.

      Delete
    4. Dragic always looks like that -- between expressionless and dour.

      Delete
    5. And Lin is learning how to play Dragic, not to get too close to him since Dragic likes to draw foul.

      Lin's penetration is unstoppable tonight!

    4. Ha I am looking for that Dawkin's debate... can't find it.

      Delete
    5. @Via and Etane:

I still dont get why you dislike the Hitch. He supported the idea of liberating the people of iraq. He did that without crawling up Bushs behind. You have to understand that there are people in the region who have considered Hitch their friend way before the war.

His world view (via called it "earlier stuff") never changed. You guys should read some of his old books and articles. Otherwise you wont understand.

BTW - a debate worth watching is the one between Hitchens and Tony Blair. He basicly humiliates the former prime minister.

BTW -> Just a label? How would you feel if someone called you a neocon?

      Delete
    6. Haven't had the time, but it's been a while since I've read Hitch. :) I tend to read Dennett more, amongst the 4.

[I guess I'm not too sensitive about labels, been called conservative, liberal, libertarian, all kinds...I see them as a form of short-hand people use to get an idea.]

      I did say neo-con-ISH. Don't be too cross, @wil. :)

      Delete
    7. Willy: Can't answer you intelligibly as I can't recall too well those episodes I saw him on TV.

But, from what I recall, he was repeating almost verbatim neocon's reasons for going into Iraq.

Remember, neocon's reasons BEFORE the war was Saddam has WMDs. And, AFTER the war started and no WMDs were found, neocon's changed their stance to "liberating Iraq".

I forgot why I particularly disliked Hitchens as he's not the only one to participate in this type of dialogue. I have to review then get back to you.

      Delete
    8. @Via:

If you are a fan of Bennett you can probably tell us what Dennett thinks about Hitchens neo-con-ish phase :)

They filmed the debate in 2007. The invasion occured before that? ;)

Besides - you wont know peoples exact thoughts by just watching debates or googling names. This may sound a little antiquated but have you guys really really really read any his writings?

      Delete
    9. I've read him. God is not Great. His take on Mother Teresa. [I admit amongst the 4, he's the least I've read bcos I'm more interested in the science background of the other 3.]

    10. I have Hitch-22, haven't had the time to get to it. :)

  46. If Morey is stupid enough to trade Lin, I couldn't care less. They're not winning the championship with McHale as coach. I honestly don't know why people think Morey is so smart. Going to Northwestern undergrad and MIT for an MBA is great and all but that doesn't mean you're a genius. Now if it were Harvard....

  47. Highlights are up.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xVzyzERNYw

Hey guys, something extremely interesting happened this game: the coaches have created a high PnR play for Lin. Not only that, but he gets a double pick! One from Harden on one side, and another from a big on the other side, so Lin can choose which side he wants to take. If you watch the highlight video, you can see them run this play twice.
Finally, a set play designed for Lin.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Finally! It's about time, just because now the Rockets are trying to raise Jeremy Lin's trade value. It was good that they signed Lin, but now it's time to free him again (via a buyout waiver) or trade him to a reasonable team.

      Delete
  48. First question for McHale is about Jeremy. Not even from an Asian reporter. Lol

    ReplyDelete
  49. Happy for Dmo. Seems like a really sweet guy and he always plays hard. He also has good chemistry with Jeremy. Go young Rockets!

  52. Lin played well, I think he should have dominated Dragic in this game, but Clutchfans Gogi-lovers will see it this as a tie.

Lin did leave Goran wide open for a 3-pointer to help out on a Dudley drive, he also fouled Goran on a pump fake jumpshot...
If not for those 4 points and layups off the 2 Harden turnovers ... Dragic would have been held to 3 points tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I only got to see the highlights posted above.

From what I saw on the highlights this is what I thought about Jlin and the Rockets:

    1. I have never ever ever ever seen them run so many different types of PnR for Jlin. This is what we've been talking about all year long. I don't know if they just wanted to try something different or what. BUT I LOVE IT!!!

    2. A rested JLin & Rocket Team is a really good and dangerous team. A team that can beat the top teams like OKC, Clippers, Spurs. The way Jlin played it looked like he was going 1,000mph on the court.

    3. Jlin completely shutdown Dragic. Dragic was crying the whole game.

Overall, JLIN played a really SOLID game on both ends of the floor. This was by far the most exciting TEAM game I've seen the Rockets played all season long.
