Rockets vs Suns Game #65 1st Half Game Thread

  1. Man, have to wait 4 days for another Rockets game and now it is here. Hopefully the Rockets can come out and blow this team out and Lin needs to assert himself. He needs to keep his dribble and stop leaving his feet when he is making a pass.

  2. Asik is playing tonight. Saw him in his warm ups.

  3. Lin with a great 3 behind the pick from D-Mo.

  4. It looks like the team is consciously trying to leave Lin out of the offense. WTF

    1. Yup, with moron coaching staff and lack of love for Lin's play. Lin definitely has to leave Rockets if he wishes to reach stardom. Rockets is the most idiotic sports organization in the world. So sad Lin is playing for them....

  5. Lin perfect pass for CP 2pt and then perfect steal for 2!!!

  6. I can't stand when harden runs down the clock and then passes it to Jeremy when there is four seconds left so he doesn't run his stats

    ReplyDelete
  7. Lin with a steal and a layup. No foul call on Dragic.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Anyone else think Smith has lost weight?

  9. Ugly sequence by Lin...what was he thinking?

    1. He can get to the free throw line area anytime he wants to shoot a jumper. But he never takes it. SMH. It's annoying as hell.

He should be smart enough to know that there is no risk of turning it over if he shoots the ball.

  10. Clyde said that he would like Lin to pull up and take the jump shot instead of passing with nowhere to go. Bill Worrell asked if he gets the green light and Clyde's response was yes he gets the green light. Interesting comments.

    1. I thought so too, looks like worrell thinks that Jeremy doesn't have the green light. Wonder why..

  11. This team just can't hold leads..

  12. Beverly in for Lin after the time out and with 2 minutes left in the 1st quarter. Omer in there with Parsons, T-Rob, Harden and Sausage man.

    ReplyDelete
  13. That was such a bad offensive sequence at the end. WTH

    ReplyDelete
  14. Har_en hung Beverley out to dry like he does with Lin. Iso dribbling down the clock and then decided to throw a last minute pass.

    1. It's called selfish. And yet people keep saying he is unselfish.

  15. Rockets will lost 0-4 easily to any opponents in playoff with this dumb coaching staff.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yeah, Lin not really part of offense. Kid is good and eventually will find another team. He's playing great in general though

  17. Is harden playing d? Johnson 5-6 ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Johnson, tonight's Haddadi

      Delete
    2. Does Har_en really ever play D in the first three quarters?

      Delete
    3. He plays part time D. Sometimes hes not bad...

      Delete
    4. Was harden always this bad on D? Even with OKC?

      Delete
  18. I don't understand why the Rox can't just blow out teams like this.

    1. free throws and incompetent coaches.

    2. dumb coaching staff is the prime reason, if only we have a decent coach.....sigh so sad to see their games, just so ugly to watch.

    3. and matador defense.

  19. Can't shoot FT, can't play D, TO's. recipe for disaster

  20. Lin used to be a good rebounding pg.. Not recently. What da hell.. Did McHale take away that too?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Rox 2nd unit fucking sucks. They have no playmaker or shot-creator. McHale is a fool if he thinks just moving the ball around is going to get this group good shots. This ain't the YMCA.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Its not like they didnt have their chance to score. Missed 3 point blank shots

      Delete
    2. Our starters don't have a playmaker too, its all Harden and parsons. Lin is not allowed to play as PG - by order of moron Macfail

      Delete
    3. Harden is a playmaker and shot-creator. 1st unit has no problem with getting good shots.

      Delete
  22. What we need is really a D'Antoni type of coach if we are only going for 3's, all offense and no defense.

    ReplyDelete
  23. This suns r so bad.. It speaks volumes that Rox lost to them and keeping this game close. My goodness.

    1. It was nice. He took off from bottom of the semi-circle, I think.

  25. I noticed Lin is finally wearing a mouth guard. That's what he learned from Dragic's elbow.

    1. I saw him playing with it while he was on the bench :) Didnt he also chip his tooth earlier in the season?

      Delete
    2. Yes. Don't know if Lin's brother did the dental work. It looks back-to-normal, don't know if it's a cosmetic replacement piece or they glued the broken piece back on.

      Delete
    3. Glue it back on? Is that even possible?

      Delete
    4. You can't glue it back. He probably that chipped tooth bonded.

      Delete
  26. Lin really needs to stop leaving his man.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yes. The play was on the other side of the paint so there was no point to Lin sagging off Dragic to give up what amounts to a corner 3. Lin makes this mistake all the time, as do others. Says something about Sampson as defensive coach.

      Delete
    2. It's probably part of Coach's game plan to go for steals instead of staying with their man. If coach tells Lin not to do it ... he wouldn't do it next time.

      Delete
  27. 3 days of rest the team comes out like this? What da hell did McHale do to prepare for this game?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Smith is only 'useful' as a fouling machine. This time a perimeter foul!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Houston got back the lead with a nice pass from Harden to Greg Smith. Harden jerked his head for the fake and the defender bit on it. In other news, Lakers are losing so far to Atlanta by 10+ points.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Wes Johnson whom Harden is guarding is the high man on the Suns with 12 points.

    1. That's the problem with coaching with analytics. The players will only play to stats.

  31. It's funny to see Lin win a jump ball versus Hadidaddi.

    1. The commentators were having a fun time pronouncing his name during the Olympics when team USA played Hadidaddi team.

  32. Lin beats a 7'2" Haddadi in a jump ball.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Lin gave up another open 3 by sagging off with no purpose.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Lin with speed to beat everybody for a layup.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Omer Oh My scored on a dribble pass and he went in for the dunk.

    ReplyDelete
  36. McHell: Sun got 1 offensive rebound off us in the first half of the game. That's 2 pts we gave up off of OUR STUFF!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hey khuang, Jeremy is the best player tonight thus far.

    1. Khuang took a time machine last week to tonight's game.

    2. Nah, these guys are RIGHT.

Jeremy Lin was terrific last game too until the refs had enough of him.

  38. Was it JLin calling for time out?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Wow everyone participating in the TO huddle. No one tuning McHell out.

When the shot falls, everything is alright.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Let's see what play McHale calls after this timeout.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Sampson said our defense is outstanding in the 2nd quarter. Guess whose name he mentioned first? Jeremy, then Parsons then Omer.

    ReplyDelete

    1. They are showcasing Lin for a trade.

      Delete
    2. Sampson is winning me over, lol. He can see the difference Jeremy makes.

      Delete
    3. Sampson gets credit for seeing the obvious? That's a low bar.

      Delete
    4. Seeing the obvious? These m- effers have had the blinders on the entire season.

      Delete
    5. Sampson wants to be the next head coach if McHale is fired lol

      Delete
    6. Even clueless people can be right about things. Sampson is still a fool.

      Delete
    7. What if the Rockets don't trade Jeremy Lin if his improvement picks up more? I think Lin should try NOT to play too well, as long as he helps the team win.

The Rockets may try to get both Howard and Paul. I don't think either one of them will leave their teams because, by staying, they receive the most lengthy contract. Plus LA is glitzy and has better fans, not to mention the weather. BUT I HOPE LIN PLAYS ELSEWHERE for his sake. I keep saying that Lin should buyout his contract, just like his newest teammate Brooks did.

    1. Hope he doesn't disappear in the second half.

    2. The Rox are conceding the elbow and mid-range jumper to the roll man in the Suns PnR by doubling Dragic and pushing him to the baseline. Morris can have that shot all day if he wants it. He and his substitutes have made a okay number of them too.

  44. Lin with a nice pass to Omer when everybody is running and gunning.

    1. Omer is moving without the ball like... like ... he got moves!

  45. Wow, Lin and Parsons both running and Lin passed it off to Parsons at the last minute. Bierber got AND 1 play.

  46. Looked to me Dragic threw his elbow into Lin. What a punk.
