love Jeremy, but Beverly should be in for rest of game. Spurs don't have game plan on Beverly and he has it tonight. Other nights when McHale benched him is questionable, but tonight...Beverly
Beverley will be in soon. I bet McHale think it's Lin fault that Parsons is missing so many 3s. If it's Beverley to pass it to him, he would make for sure.
Jeremy doesn't cut to the basket because the coaches want the PG to camp in the corner. Cutting to the basket would mess up Harden's opportunity to drive. Beverley doesn't cut either.
Look, if the Rox win, everything will swept under the rug.. And McHale will be justified. Don't like it but without Jeremy fighting back, nothing will change.
Lin's fault for choosing Rockets over Knicks, he won't be treated this way in NY with all those fans support. So don't expect Linsanity in Rockets, the coaching are making sure that it won't happen in Houston.
You need to straighten your facts.Jeremy had explained this in the open how he ended up with Houston. In fact, in one interview he said he thought he would be playing for NY this season and if he had a choice, he wants to play for NY fans.
I want to see jeremy playing for a different team next season.IDK which one but he needs to leave this team.I want this team to lose every single game they bench jeremy especially during a crucial last quarter.I hate you MCHELL
i believe youre right. mchale could care less if lin scores 20 20+ points in a row, he just doesnt care for lin's game. he plays him because he has to.
I m telling you guys, thus is about Harden crying that he is the "superstar" of the team. He does not like it when Lin has good game. He wants top billing. I am telling you, that is why McHale is yanking Lin,and Harden not passing lin the ball. They know when Lin is allowed to play, he plays well.
It turned well for the Rockets against the mighty Spurs come on, McHale can stick with this formula aka bench Lin and totally justify it in the future.
I want to see jeremy play for a different team next season. IDK which one but he needs to leave this team. I want houston to lose every game remaining this season when they bench lin especially in the crucial last quarter.I hate you mcHELL
And Jeremy played all of fourth quarter till that point.
Lin's was hot with his shooting, so you ride James.
This win puts alot of pressure on Golden State to win a game they weren't necessarily expected to win (5 losses for Rockets and 5 losses for Warriors down stretch, before this game, i believe meant Rockets still get sixth seed because of tie breaker).
Rockets paying $25 Mill to have their starting PG sit during key moments in 4th. Just have Lin be a back-up, so things will be more honest. Trade Lin at the end of this year if you don't believe in your starter.
Wow, Beverly might start the next game. Jeremy had the worst point differential (-13) and Beverly had the best (+11). Beverly may have saved the game with the tremendous block from behind near the end.
Isnt the pattern clear? When he plays his role he shoots well. He is not a good spot of shooter we have seen this already. He was forcing it tonight since he knew he wouldnt get the ball again for a while. No player can shoot well in that situation
Lin should go to Morey and say - you guts better cut this BS. Your paying me 25 million - start treating me like that type of player. I dont need you using me as a ploy and a publicity stunt. Wow - what a beautiful thought.
For those who want to focus on "respecting your starters," I think your perspective is problematic because that's not how it works.
Think of this way: You're Mchale and you're making millions of dollars for coaching the Rocket's. Not only that, but you absolutely love what you do. So, what's never going to be on your mind is: "How can I respect my starters and treat them as such?" That perspective is bogus. You're going to constantly ask yourself, "what must I do to get a W, so I can keep my job, continue to make millions, and love my life."
So, I'm just throwing that out there. The Rocket's won. They got the 'w'. And as far as I'm concerned, any arguments attempted to say Mchale shouldn't have done what he did *this* game turn to dust.
I defend Lin all the time. I criticize Mchale when I think it's justified. I keep things CONSISTENT. This is one game, if my desire is to be intellectually honest, I can't criticize Mchale. It's that simple.
With his brilliant strategy to bench Lin for Beverly in his Rockets win, Kevin McHale has proven himself to be one of the greatest coaches in NBA history! /sarcasm off
Well truthfully we all should hope rockets win. As much as I hate the benching, it is easily solvable. Lin just has to play better and consistent. We all know how Lin will be treated so we can only hope he continue to play his ball and being his best, benched or not.
First lay up Way to go Lin
ReplyDeleteJeremy's playing well so far in the second half. McHale better bench him now.
ReplyDeleteGood job good effort jer
ReplyDeleteJeremy take that three.. Everyone is missing their threes. U won't be singled out.. Trust me!
ReplyDeleteJLin looks better second half. Let's get it going Jeremy!
ReplyDeleteLin is rhythmic player.
ReplyDeleteFollow your rhythm.
Go man
Jeremy starting good in second half. I thought McHale is a big man's coach? why is DMo shooting 3s instead of playing low post?
ReplyDeletelove Jeremy, but Beverly should be in for rest of game. Spurs don't have game plan on Beverly and he has it tonight. Other nights when McHale benched him is questionable, but tonight...Beverly
ReplyDeleteU r a freaking genius! U coach?
DeletePop made a game plan against Jeremy because he understands that the offense runs the best when Jeremy is on the floor.
DeleteWhile were at it, lets bench Hardin for Anderson. And put in Delfino for Parsons.
Deletewell you know, the impartial Lin fans will moan about Beverly being in.
DeleteLol you really think Beverley's prefect shooting is sustainable?!
DeleteHe is doing more than making shots.
DeleteBeverley will be in soon. I bet McHale think it's Lin fault that Parsons is missing so many 3s. If it's Beverley to pass it to him, he would make for sure.
ReplyDeleteLin's doing a very good job on Parker.
ReplyDeleteSend in TRob for DMo
ReplyDeleteGet Parker in Foul trouble
ReplyDeleteGo Lin
In Greg smith
ReplyDeleteYou don't want Asik get his fourth
ReplyDeleteMuch better shift from jer
ReplyDeleteNotice Lin just made a spin drive on Parker before he is subbed out?
ReplyDeleteThat's because he brought the ball up the court and... *GASP* didn't hand it off! Not allowed!!
DeleteJeremy is out. Man, our boy can't win.
ReplyDeleteMcFail did it again. Lin is benched.
ReplyDeleteOmer needs to dunk everything underneath the basket.
ReplyDeleteParker should have had 4 fouls, refs missed an obvious foul on that JLin fast break.
ReplyDeleteAsik's fourth foul
ReplyDeleteI told you
McFail
If Asik gets his 5th
ReplyDeleteMcFail should be fired
Beverley is in. If he plays the rest of the way, he will play 17 straight minutes lol.
ReplyDeleteMcFail is retarded.
ReplyDeleteParsons commits TO... he will be on bench... oh, forgot, that rule only applies to JLin...
ReplyDeleteGS on Duncan like white on rice.
ReplyDeleteJeremy doesn't cut to the basket because the coaches want the PG to camp in the corner. Cutting to the basket would mess up Harden's opportunity to drive. Beverley doesn't cut either.
ReplyDeleteGood boy Bev. You will be rewarded for the whole 4th Q.
DeleteLet Lin check in
ReplyDeleteLin isn't trying to shoot the ball at all ... even that spin move on Parker that he got fouled on, he was looking to pass the ball.
ReplyDeleteBeverley does nothing offensively now but I bet McHale loves his D so he will play him the whole 4th quarter.
ReplyDeleteIf Lin plays the majority of the 4th... I predict he has a big 4th.
ReplyDeleteBeverley will play the whole 4th.
Deleteseems like McHale doesn't want to Jeremy to play like he did during that first home game vs Spurs that gave a glimpse of Linsanity in overtime.
ReplyDeleteWhen we all think Lin play in fourth? If he will at all? I have no clue! I feel he will get sub out whenever he make a mistake in the fourth
ReplyDeleteSomething wrong with the game plan!!!
ReplyDeleteLook, if the Rox win, everything will swept under the rug.. And McHale will be justified. Don't like it but without Jeremy fighting back, nothing will change.
ReplyDeleteI think Mac will put Lin in with around 10 minutes left in 4th.
ReplyDeleteJer got caught looking..
ReplyDeleteHow did Jeremy totally lose Ginobili for that 3-pointer ??? Seriously, stop staring at the ball man !!!
ReplyDeletejlin in at the start of the 4th...
ReplyDeleteHarden out Lin in with Bev. DO SOMETHING LIN!!!
ReplyDeleteLin's fault for choosing Rockets over Knicks, he won't be treated this way in NY with all those fans support. So don't expect Linsanity in Rockets, the coaching are making sure that it won't happen in Houston.
ReplyDeleteLin didn't choose the Rockets. Knicks never offered Lin a contract.
DeleteYou need to straighten your facts.Jeremy had explained this in the open how he ended up with Houston. In fact, in one interview he said he thought he would be playing for NY this season and if he had a choice, he wants to play for NY fans.
DeleteParsons and Harden already played 33 and 31 minutes haha.
ReplyDeletewow, Lin and Beverley in together. Beverley running the point. Wow, the writing's on the wall.
ReplyDeletejlin and bev in 4th while harden resting...
ReplyDeletejlin with beautiful dish to cutting smith, smith flushes it hard!
Cutters and dunkers are so ideal as teammates for Lin. Let's hope he'll be on such a team someday.
Delete83-76 rockets up 8:59 left in 4th... looks like harden is coming in for jlin...?
ReplyDeleteYeah, most likely. Harden will be in even the Rockets do well without him. And Beverley gotta plays the whole 4th due to his prefect shooting and D!
DeleteLook like Lin comes on only when Parker does. So it's just matchups that McHale decides when Lin comes into the game.
ReplyDeleteMr. 4th Qtr is back
ReplyDeletelin got this.
ReplyDeleteLin can hit that shot all day. It's just that when Harden is in, he holds on to the ball too long for Lin to do anything.
ReplyDeletejeremy still in... but harden is in for beverly. jeremy with airball or to? regardless it was ugly. then diaw blocked jlin on his drive to the basket
ReplyDeleteMan, Lin should have taken that shot.
ReplyDeletehe is being aggressive
ReplyDeleteHmmmm! Lin got another TO.
ReplyDeleteLin playing well. No more expired shot clocks when he's on the floor.
ReplyDeleteLin trust your.shot.
ReplyDeleteLin did not get credit for that steal! Anyways he should have went to rim instead of passing to Harden
ReplyDeleteI want the 6th assist from Lin
ReplyDelete3-point shot still looks off. But at least he's being aggressive defensively and forcing turnovers.
ReplyDeleteLin is getting aggressive
ReplyDelete89-85 rox, 5:43 left... parker drives hard and draws a foul on lin
ReplyDeleteIt's a match game; player for player
ReplyDeleteparker is warming up, another layup against lin.
ReplyDeleteParker taking it to Lin
ReplyDeleteDamn I bet Lin will be subbed out soon. He missed too many jumpers today.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm 2/8 FG .not good!
ReplyDelete89-89, 4:44 left with parker shooting layups or free throws.
ReplyDeleteman, that Rocket offense is ugly.
ReplyDeleteBev is coming in for Lin now.i knew it.
ReplyDeleteMcFail already plans on losing the game.
Deletebad offensive sets by rox... beverly in for lin 3:56min left. i think it's over for lin
ReplyDeleteall that dribbling for that fucking play?
ReplyDeleteif we lost the game
ReplyDeleteIt's McFail who did it
what? beverley comes in to close the game?
ReplyDeleteLin benched. Wow
ReplyDeletereally? you're surprised?
DeleteYeap, Mac doesn't trust Lin for sure. You have to put your starter in this situation. Wow, what a disrespect.
ReplyDeleteWTF?? Go Spurs...
ReplyDeleteBull shit! Even come gators are saying Bev excellent defender!
ReplyDeleteyou can't wake up a person who is pretending to be asleep
DeleteMcHale does not think Lin can guard Parker but thinks Beverley can? What a joke.
ReplyDeleteI think we should all be used to this by now. Why are we surprised? Meh.
ReplyDeleteThe only way Lin can come in is when Bev picked up his fifth foul
ReplyDeleteI don't thinks so, he got to foul out
DeleteI want to see jeremy playing for a different team next season.IDK which one but he needs to leave this team.I want this team to lose every single game they bench jeremy especially during a crucial last quarter.I hate you MCHELL
DeleteParker just scored on Bev too, just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteGo spurs! Go spurs! Go spurs!
ReplyDeleteLin getting burned by Tony Parker on the drive ... seems to be more worried about Parker's 3-point shot, which is almost nonexistent.
ReplyDeleteWell to be fair .. McHale has sometimes gone without Asik in the 4th. Jeremy just not shooting well tonight... Very indecisive, ugly looking jumpers.
ReplyDeleteBut doesn't excuse McHale for not trusting your starters in the 4th
Deleteand that's a huge mistake too. Without Asik's rebounding, Rockets give up a ton of rebounds.
DeleteParker will take it to that scrub Beverley for sure haha.
ReplyDeleteTP lighting everyone up!
ReplyDeleteJust make Bev the starter.
ReplyDeleteIt's McFail's fault
ReplyDeleteoh look, parker just scored on bev again.
ReplyDeleteHe took lin out.
ReplyDeleteThe whole game fall aparts
At least, Bev made a bood d play.
ReplyDeleteBeverley missed 2 shots in the 4th already after going prefect before. Unclutch!!
ReplyDeleteMcHale: Bev's blocking shots because he's better than Jeremy defensively
Delete93-92 sas up with 1:13 left, parker making it happen, rox offense sputtering with or without lin but bev with the blocked shots.
ReplyDelete5th foul of Beverly after a few missed shots poor D.
ReplyDeleteMcFAil
oh, foul on bev.
ReplyDeleteMcFail's last minute has never worked before.
ReplyDeletenever, ever...lol
DeleteWill Mac put Lin in to finish the game? Hmm . . .
ReplyDeleteWell this game clearly answered my questions about McHale and how he views Lin - and how far he has come since the beginning of the season.
ReplyDeleteLets just say Lin's recent three game 20 point streak did very little to Lin gaining McHale's trust.
Cuz Mchale originally has never believed Lin ever.
Deletei believe youre right. mchale could care less if lin scores 20 20+ points in a row, he just doesnt care for lin's game. he plays him because he has to.
DeleteIt looks that way. It is my impression now that there is nothing Lin can do to gain McHale's trust.
DeleteBad game or not, u go with your starters, the players u think will make a difference in this situation. Lin is not that guy for McHale.
Foul Bev out
ReplyDelete95-92 sas up with 1:07 left. let's see what our great coach comes up with.
ReplyDeleteEverybody knows that it's Harden ISO
ReplyDeleteParker must be laughing inside.
ReplyDelete"You really think that scrub Beverley can guard me lol!"
McFail goes to Beverly in the last minute of crunch time. I think it really shows how much McFail thinks of Lin.
ReplyDeleteanybody but Lin is a better compliment to Harden.
ReplyDeleteI m telling you guys, thus is about Harden crying that he is the "superstar" of the team. He does not like it when Lin has good game. He wants top billing. I am telling you, that is why McHale is yanking Lin,and Harden not passing lin the ball. They know when Lin is allowed to play, he plays well.
DeleteMcHale doesn't give a fuck on this Asian kid.
ReplyDeleteBev will foul out
ReplyDeletethen aaron brooks will come in
DeleteMcHale will put Lin in with 10 seconds left so that technically Lin closed the 4th quarter.
ReplyDeleteNope, McHale thinks Lin is a piece of crap, so Lin thinks of himself as a piece of crap and passes up open shots to pass the ball and turn it over.
DeleteHow else do you explain the jumpshot that he changed his mind to throw to nobody?
So bev was brought in to guard ginobli rather than parker? k.
ReplyDeleteIt's not like Beverley can guard either. It's just McHale's imagination that Beverley is some sort of DPOY stopper.
DeleteHope Rockets win
ReplyDelete95-94 sas up and 09.3 seconds left
ReplyDeleteput lin on to take the last shot to redeem himself
ReplyDeleteNo way. It's Harden iso all the way.
DeleteTime out again
ReplyDeleteEven spurs announcers surprised why Lin not in the game..
ReplyDeleteevery other team's announcers wonder this.
Deletewhy? havent they been following the mchale / lin soap opera?
DeleteThat shot by Harden was way too early.
ReplyDeleteYES
ReplyDeletewow Harden.
ReplyDeletejames harden scored a jumper at the ft line, rox up 96-95 with 4.5 sec left. timeout by sas.
ReplyDeleteno ft's, don't let this game go into ot.
ReplyDeleteYES!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnybody else disappointed?
ReplyDeleteI am... not impressed
Deleteme
DeleteThat was bullshit.
ReplyDeletenot impressed with this win..
ReplyDeleteMcHale hobbling out onto the court to kiss Harden's ass..
ReplyDeleteMcFail whispers in Harden's ear: Thanks, James. You saved my ass!
DeleteWe got the win but why am I not happy?
ReplyDeletesame
DeleteRockets win!
ReplyDeleteMcFail is a genius!
LOL.
He's dumb
DeleteA low scoring game w/o Lin
ReplyDeleteWhat a win. Turned out well for Rockets.
ReplyDeleteAnd Mac. Lin didn't look too happy, but I am happy Rockets won.
Deletelin looked pretty happy to me.
DeleteIt turned well for the Rockets against the mighty Spurs come on, McHale can stick with this formula aka bench Lin and totally justify it in the future.
DeleteI want to see jeremy play for a different team next season. IDK which one but he needs to leave this team. I want houston to lose every game remaining this season when they bench lin especially in the crucial last quarter.I hate you mcHELL
ReplyDeletegood win over sas, just unfortunate that jlin couldnt participate when it counted but his confidence is shot.
ReplyDeleteLol this game will be the game plan for the rest of the season!
ReplyDeleteSo true. Now he thinks he has justification. May as well not watch any more games this season
DeleteIt seems like the rockets don't really need Lin.
ReplyDeleteI agree. As great a player Lin us, he is really an after thought in this team. Never gonna change.
Deleteoh please... they have a good starting PG named Patrick Beverley (*?*)
Deletethis victory reinforces mchales great coaching and game planning.
ReplyDeleteThe substitution of Beverly for Lin is the dumbest thing in the world.
ReplyDeleteWhat did Bev do? Giving up free throws missing two shots.
To be fair, Bev made a huge block. I have no complaint against Bev; he's a decent back-up and plays hard every time.
DeleteWe won.
DeleteAnd Jeremy played all of fourth quarter till that point.
Lin's was hot with his shooting, so you ride James.
This win puts alot of pressure on Golden State to win a game they weren't necessarily expected to win (5 losses for Rockets and 5 losses for Warriors down stretch, before this game, i believe meant Rockets still get sixth seed because of tie breaker).
correction: Lin was not hot with his shooting.
DeleteNo Rockets jersey, no NBA League Pass, less interest in NBA if JLin stays with Rockets and McIdiot is still there.
ReplyDeleteRockets paying $25 Mill to have their starting PG sit during key moments in 4th. Just have Lin be a back-up, so things will be more honest. Trade Lin at the end of this year if you don't believe in your starter.
ReplyDeleteWithout Lin, it's from 30 points up to 30 points down.
ReplyDeleteWow, Beverly might start the next game. Jeremy had the worst point differential (-13) and Beverly had the best (+11). Beverly may have saved the game with the tremendous block from behind near the end.
ReplyDeletethat's stupid. to give someone the starting spot because of point differential from one game is asinine.
DeleteLin just needs to keep doing Lin. He can't change anything except how he plays.
That block was impressive, I don't care what people say. A good play is a good play.
DeleteWhats done is done. It actually a good thing Lin is not finishing the 4th THIS TIME because the refs already cheated Lin. We need this one badly
ReplyDeleteSo sad. How many starters in the NBA don't close out a one point game? Lin must feel embarrassed being a cheerleader.
ReplyDeleteI think Miller finished the game for Lawson yesterday night?!
DeleteLin is not doing good on his jump shot again, very inconsistent.
ReplyDeleteIsnt the pattern clear? When he plays his role he shoots well. He is not a good spot of shooter we have seen this already. He was forcing it tonight since he knew he wouldnt get the ball again for a while. No player can shoot well in that situation
DeleteLin should go to Morey and say - you guts better cut this BS. Your paying me 25 million - start treating me like that type of player. I dont need you using me as a ploy and a publicity stunt. Wow - what a beautiful thought.
ReplyDeleteFor those who want to focus on "respecting your starters," I think your perspective is problematic because that's not how it works.
ReplyDeleteThink of this way: You're Mchale and you're making millions of dollars for coaching the Rocket's. Not only that, but you absolutely love what you do. Bamboo .. Really you are annoying. Go preach your McHale praise on clutch. This is not the place or the time.
DeleteSolidz, I see things very differently than many here and I know that irritates some. So be it.
DeleteI defend Lin all the time. I criticize Mchale when I think it's justified. I keep things CONSISTENT. This is one game, if my desire is to be intellectually honest, I can't criticize Mchale. It's that simple.
DeleteAnd wait till Rox get a second superstar. Lin will be even more marginalized - if that is at all possible.
ReplyDeleteWith his brilliant strategy to bench Lin for Beverly in his Rockets win, Kevin McHale has proven himself to be one of the greatest coaches in NBA history! /sarcasm off
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletepbev will start next game, just watch!

ReplyDeletecoaches finally found a winning formula in close game = no Jeremy, Bervely+Harden combo!
ReplyDelete
