  1. let's go Lin, I have a feeling he'll get 20+ pts today.

  2. Harden playing defense and Dmo spiked Parker in the thigh. Looking good!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Harden having hard time getting the ball let alone driving/drawing the foul. Asik/DMo also not finishing layups. Not optimistic.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Duncan on fire from the perimeter and in the paint! Off the glass on Asik and in the post against Dmo. Put GS on him!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Harden not passing Lin the ball

    ReplyDelete
  6. Harden should've passed that to Lin on the fast break. He deserved that nasty block from Green.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Lin steal and Parson makes layup. Very effective defending of Harden by Spurs, standing on his left, beside him not in front of him. Harden perplexed.

    1. Taking away his launching pad. Stand where he will take his first step and he's got no where to go.

  8. Did Lin get slapped on the wrist that led to the TO? Seems like Lin was complaining to the ref.

    1. He should've gone aggressively to the rim, instead of slowing down with the dribble in the paint. Against a tough defense like the Spurs, that's No Man's Land, either go strong to the rim or stay out of the paint.

  9. Wow this spurs don't mess around.. Harden needs to move the ball and needs to work with Lin. He just can't try to do everything himself.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I feel bad for Lin....nobody is intentionally freezing Lin out. Lin is just the 4th or 5th wheel on this team and that's how the Rox want it...

I can almost play Lin's offensive role so far in this game...dribble up and pass to Harden then hide...

It seems the coaches re-emphasized that's what they want this particular game, and probably going forward for the rest of the year into the playoffs.

Parsons and Harden are set up as wing options #1 and 2 and that's what it is....

I'm gonna stop watching now...I already see the writing on the wall...just waiting for his contract to run at this point....

"Be aggressive" my butt...this is a game where you can tell if Lin looked for his offense at all and missed, he is going to be benched big time...

    1. I really think its harden just trying to much to do everything himself instead of trying to work with Jeremy. I'm seeing Jeremy standing in the corner too much. Not a good sign at all.

      Delete
    2. I got the same icky feeling... I am really close to just watching something else...

      Delete
    3. I hate Harden!! He absolutely sucks! He holds the ball and holds the ball and holds the ball and throws up ridiculous wild shots and for some unknown reason the refs 90% of the time bail him out. Lin has no role in this team and you can tell from his play in this game he's completely deflated. That fucking McHale yanks him out no matter what at the 4 min mark of the first quarter. It's not as if Lin was playing bad, but it doesn't matter, Lin is a fucking doormat! Even Asik gets more respect than Lin. I hope to god Lin gets the fuck out of Houston through a trade in the off season.

    1. Just missed a wide open 3. Way short. Tired legs after a couple of days off?

      Delete
    2. He's been missing a lot recently... In a big shooting slump.

      Delete
  12. looks like Spurs will sweep Rockets this season...

  13. Genius McHale starting off game going through Harden... Will he ever learn?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Idiots will be not be genius overnight.

      Delete
    2. Is it McHake or harden. Without any reprimand, harden will do what he pleases.

      Delete
  14. McHale took Lin out early again, that will not change, even if they are in the playoffs.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Parker was also taken out.... I think: So maybe just doing it for the match up.

      Delete
    2. Nope. Unless Lin is on fire then he will take him out with 2 minutes left in the quaeter

      Delete
    3. He eagerly wants to do that so eagerly...

      Delete
    4. Right, but that is not what's in question: He was taken out a little earlier than usual this quarter. I know Mchale's pattern substitution.

      Delete
    5. Why don't we wait until the game is over before we make this about Mchale instead of Lin.

      Delete
  15. Bev passes ball to Asik in traffic and he finishes it strong. When Lin passes him the ball, TO or misses a weak lay up.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Lin deserve more minutes and more chance to shoot !!! Rox and Mchale are killing his confidence definitely !!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Jeremy looks a step slow and hesitant ... I don't know if it's an injury or what.

    ReplyDelete
  18. good god , was the plan to play through harden exclusively!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Even if this is all harden's doing, does McHale have the guts to tell harden not to play this way? Doubt it..

      Delete
  19. No easy points tonight. In the paint you get shots blocked, get boxed out and even when you get an offensive rebound (Robinson), the ball gets taken away from you. Spurs showing why they're no. 1.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well bev outplaying Lin at least on the off end.... Harden not passing to Lin.. I'm calling it... Jeremy will play < 30 min...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Do you even need to call that? = P

      Delete
    2. Lin isn't looking to shoot the ball or score. He's also getting caught off guard on defense, not doubling Duncan, and not chasing down Parker on off screens.

      Delete
  21. Patrick Beverly is doing surprisingly well against Nando de Colo ... looks like McHale will let him play all 3 quarters.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No question, Bev is worth the money he's getting paid.

      Delete
    2. He can do everything except run an offense ... why doesn't McHale ever put Lin in with Beverly. Delfino isn't doing anything on the floor.

      Delete
  22. Beverley's playing well, so Lin will probably get 20 minutes today. =(

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The question is does McHale has the guts to piss us off by sitting out Lin the entire 4th quarter again a la Dallas game? I think he got in trouble for doing that the last time.

      Delete
    2. Beverly is really the back-up starter.

      Delete
  23. sooner... Beverley the starting point guard

    ReplyDelete

    1. excusez moi... it's sarcasm. I'm a bigger Jeremy fan than you probably

      Delete
  24. Lin needs to come out like he has something to prove.. Wow how quickly things his stature changes on this team..

    ReplyDelete
  25. Mac's error is in letting Bev play just way too long. He should really have either Lin or Harden on the floor.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The Spurs were able to neutralize Beverly in one timeout by making adjustments. That's what they do.

McHale is still in the 1st Quarter mode, doesn't change.

      Delete
  26. Lin will have 20 mins with 4 pts tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Fuck Beverly! He only gets to play because Lin is being disrespected. I hope Beverly beaks both his legs so that Lin can play.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No need to wish a harm to Bev. That's uncalled for.

      Delete
    2. Not cool. As a matter of fact, I think Lin likes bev. And if its not bev then there will be someone else taking Lin's minutes.

      Delete
    3. not cool sphay... lin will play because of bev's foul trouble.

      Delete
  28. My god, I don't know who the starting PG is? Lin is getting paid 2nd most money, but he's being treated as the 4th best player. I would get pissed and play as hard as Bev when I am out there.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think Mchale is going to do whatever he think's going to lead to a win. If Bev is having a ton of momentum, and Mchale thinks leaving him in longer than usual will increase the odds of the Rocket's winning, that's what he'll do. This is not to say I agree with the times he put Beverly in the 4th and not Lin when Beverly wasn't doing anything special. But I can't blame Mchale keeping Bev in when he's playing really, really well. He's payed to get wins not to showcase any particular player.

    ReplyDelete

    1. I am one of Lin's biggest critics, but if Mac did that for all players, then I would not complain. For example, if Parsons is playing badly, let Delfino play more. Harden also.

      Delete
    2. Except that doesn't apply to harden ot parsons. When they are having a miserable 1st half, McHale will stick with them and wait for them to shoot out of their funk.

Lin is viewed differently and when he is not performing, he is shut down immediately. Not the way to treat your starting pg.

      Delete
    3. Look, I am not complaining about Lin's 32 minutes, but look at how many minutes Mac allows Harden and Parsons to play. Harden should not be playing this many minutes because he will get tired. Same thing with Parsons. I am just glad Lin will not get injured due to over-playing; that's the only positive.

      Delete
    4. Beverly is a better backup in my opinion. This may be why. Though I'm not saying your point isn't valid and bear in mind: I was only referencing Beverly, not speaking for the other players.

      Delete
    5. I have to agree with Solidz75. This is why I wish Lin shoots more short jumpers.

      Delete
    6. If Parson's and Harden had a better backup, I think the substituions would be different. Let's face it: Rocket's don't have depth.

      Delete
    7. Bamboo Forest, you have a point there, but I still think Hardens is being over played; same thing with Parsons.

      Delete
  30. Lin is nt coming back after timeout . There is something about McHail n lin. It's pretty evident for those of us who has seen all the games. Jealousy.? I don't know. Lin has handled it well all season but I really hope he will ask for a trade after the season. Hopefully to Denver. Spurs will win tonight. Just watch. Lin is the only X factor for a possible win, but without him, no way

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Even if Lin requests a trade, there's no guarantee he will go to a team that will make him the primary ball-handler. He might just end up being a overly paid bench player.

      Delete
    2. Lin only came back because Beverley got 3 fouls. Beverley didn't even come out with 2 fouls.

      Delete
  31. Just got home. Was jeremy playing poorly or this is just one of those BS games where mchale would prefer another PG over him?I just saw him got back to the bench fron nowhere. Was he sitting out for awhile now?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Lin was decent, but Beverly got hot so McHale gave him a little more minutes than usual.

      Delete
    2. He never gave lin that kind of treatment when he gets hot. Usually, jeremy gets benched...

      Delete
    3. 3 TO's on Lin so far, we'll see if he stays or Brooks comes in.

      Delete
  32. Beverly shooting well, but fouling recklessly. Rox young team got a few too many areas to improve on if they wanna be a force in the playoffs.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Lin is doing absolutely nothing on the offense..

    ReplyDelete
  34. Lin has to show a bit more zip zip and nail his shots. If Rox converts more 3 pointers, they could make this a close game.

    ReplyDelete
  35. where is Jeremy's foul on De Colo?

    ReplyDelete
  36. harden absolutely will not pass today !

    ReplyDelete
  37. Duncan abusing Asik with shoves all game long and ref's are not calling it. Phantom foul on Lin too.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Lin is playing really badly and dumb. That pass was telegraphed; he has to take a shot there.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. After a dumb pass, Mac puts Lin in. Now, if Mac did that on Bev, I would not complain. Lin is kept on a really short leash.

    1. they are giving it to him with 2 secs on the clock, harden is not passing and no one looking to him for offense

    2. I know, but why does he think DMo score better than him? Just don't understand Lin sometimes.

      Delete
    3. mcfail's game plan - no jeremy tonight!

      Delete
    4. Lin took ONE shot ... bricked it ... now believes that God is against him playing.

      Delete
  42. Lin needs to play like this is his last game.. He is doing nothing.. Waiting for things to happen..

    ReplyDelete
  43. Now McHale puts in Beverly again ... SMH, career suicide by Jeremy Lin.

    ReplyDelete
  44. See how Lin gets benched immediately after mistakes? Not a way to treat ur player.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. To be fair, Lin gets regularly benched at around the same time (7 or 8 min into 1Q), even when he DOES play well.

      Delete
    2. Agreed. Let me see if Mac takes Bev out when Bev makes one dumb mistake. I admit when Lin makes dumb plays, but Lin again looks very sluggish and hesitant. Why? Just because your shots are not falling? So what? Man, if he wants to play for God, God does not want to see him play sluggish. Maybe he rather be at church than on the court on Sunday?

      Delete
    3. "To be fair, Lin gets regularly benched at around the same time (7 or 8 min into 1Q), even when he DOES play well."

Yes, we know. But today Lin got benched today with 4 mins left in 2nd quarter. Are you watching the game?

      Delete
  45. Wow, is there any question now who will play on the fourth! This is too much coach, Lin gets the insult of the year now and it is only the second quarter and Bev has 3 fouls

    ReplyDelete
  46. I am yelling at the screen right now. Will Michael ever learn.???? For heavens sake give the ball to Jeremy!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Now I can only hope rockets gets destroyed!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Can't blame McHale this game,Lin is looking like a scrub tonight.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. are u watching the game?! Harden is pointing the ball 95% of the time and Lin is not passed the ball or directing the offense

      Delete
  49. This is utter bullshit. I am rooting for the Spurs.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Nice scapegoating Jeremy McHail! I wish I had someone I could blame for all my problems at work like he does.

What has Harden or Parsons done? Lin never even got to touch the ball on offense.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Jeremy not looking to shoot.not doing much on directing the offense. Bev treated as starter - with McHale he will soon be one

    ReplyDelete
  52. Lin stops shooting after word is leaked that he's back to 100% health?

    ReplyDelete
  53. I don't mind McHale benching lin if he does the same to harden, delfino or parsons.. What Lin just can't make mistakes? Ridiculous..

But what da hell is Lin doing today? Wow he is playing reaaaaly bad.

    ReplyDelete
  54. no high pick n rolls nothing running through Lin, mchale is a joke and always be joke of a coach

    ReplyDelete
  55. Why does lin have only one shot taken?!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. He only took that shot cuz Harden passes Lin the ball with 1 second left on the shot clock or Lin might've passed that shot up.

      Delete
    2. He never touches the ball on offense.

      Delete
    3. Gotta keep the away from Lin, can't have him score 38 like last time. Not when Harden is present anyways.

      Delete
    4. Harden always passed the ball to others to get his high percentage and assist. you got the ball at last seconds; you have to throw up a Hail Mary shot.

      Delete
  56. Lin looks like losing his confidence. I'm so convinced he is taken out right after just one bad play.

    ReplyDelete
  57. He is not gonna score if he doesn't shoot. He is playing like a biatch tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  58. lol Bev is playing with 3 fouls..this tells you alot

    ReplyDelete
  59. McHale's going to let Lin "close" the 2nd quarter.

    ReplyDelete
  60. JLin in for the last 41 seconds... McHale has turned the corner!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Lin comes in to protect Beverly from fouling out!

    ReplyDelete

    1. LOL Lin smiling big as he finished the half. He seems loose.

      Delete
  62. Another turnover, wtf Lin at end of quarter?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. lol they gave that TO to Delfino...

      Delete
    2. it's sausage's turnover, not Jeremy's.

      Delete
  63. Beverly should just be starter like McHale wants. The world would make more sense.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yup give Bev 40 mins.

And, let Jeremy play 15 minutes a game but let Jeremy control the ball when he's on the court. Good trade off?

      Delete
    2. Beverely needs the ball in his hands, just like Lin. Harden would take majority of shots still, and then Brooks would eventually become the starter.

      Delete
    3. Yes, that way, at least we would not be confused. :)

      Delete
  64. Well, Parker is not playing well, so making Bev look good. I love the way Bev plays hard every time by the way, so my support for Lin is in no way intended to cut down Bev at all. This guy is definitely worth his money.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I've never seen a game when a player is frozen out like this by their head coach. True Lin is playing badly but shouldn't he try to at least get him going knowing that it is in Rox's best interest to have him playing well if they wanna beat the spurs?

If every player is treated like this, no way they'd be able to perform well. Not cool McHale.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Lin seems to be in the WTF mode anyways. Didn't care he committed another TO.

      Delete
    2. Yeah Lin is always on pins and needles and we can all feel it. Every turnover and every missed shot is multiplied by 10 in McHale's eyes.

      Delete
    3. He's been more afraid of missing shots than committing a turnover or forcing a teammate into a bad shot.

If he was focused and aggressive, Rockets would be up by 12 points or more. Instead of down 3.

      Delete
    4. if the coach views him as a replaceable role player, then no, it's not going to be in his best interest to get Lin going.

Lin is so average that his inferior back up (who can't even run a fucking offense) can easily take his spot.

      Delete
  66. Lin comes in for last few seconds of second quarter, Spurs leading by 5. Harden bricked a shot - Spurs have got inside his head. McHale has to do something.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. What's McHale to do ... give the ball to Lin ??

      Delete
    2. has McHale ever benched Harden? just curious...

      Delete
    3. one time because he had too many TO's but he came back in the game like 4 min later.

      Delete
    4. McHale will never bench Harden until he got his 40 minutes.

      Delete
  67. Lin never touches the ball in the plays, Harden would rather jack up a 3 pointer with a hand in his face than pass it to Jeremy.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Harden is so like Westbrook with less athleticism and a better euro step. So ugly to watch.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The funnier thing is Rockets is actually in the game. :)

      Delete
    2. no they're not. Spurs are playing like shit. They'll turn it up in the second half while Mchale goes with Bev. Great alternative there.

      Delete
  69. C'mon lin feels like you're back to square 1. Sigh, so sad. :(
Please step it up 2nd half!!! Before all the LOH comes back!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Lin's in for that last possession so the real starter Beverley wouldn't get another foul. Haha.

    ReplyDelete
  71. just let him play. who cares about stats.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I think jeremy knows what to do in a situation like this which has happened sooo many times in the past. The thing is, he can't be consistent when his coaches and teammates are treating him inconsistently. One game, he plays PG then the next game, the SG. In fact, tonight, IDK what his teammates see him for!!!I am pretty damn sure jeremy wanted to shoot and take charge of offense but without the ball in his hands or getting it in the last 2 to 5 secs of the shotclock, how much can he do??If he is not playing well, it is not bec he can't but the team won't let him be a factor at all.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Come on, everyone knows that, but what I am complaining about is that Lin passes the ball to DMo with 2 seconds left. He should be taking the shot there. Harden took too long to pass, we all know this.

      Delete
    2. eb5attorney: Lin thought he was going to get doubled so he swung it to DMo. He had no good shot because harden had dribbled the clock out. That was really a lose lose situation. Lin did make the wrong choice but it's pretty understandable to me.

I am not responding to ur post.it is just my sentiment at the moment.no need to explain me anything

      Delete
    4. You just responded. No need to respond to my post. Dave T, everyone knows what you are saying. We are not stupid. If you have 2 seconds left, you have to take the shot, not pass it to someone, unless that someone is MJ.

    5. if you know what dave t is saying then stop responding to him. Not. that. hard. to. understand.

  73. If Jeremy isn't shooting well, at least he can cut to the basket when the Spurs aren't looking. I've counted about 8 possessions where he could've made a cut, He's not doing that either.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Sigh...I have no idea why he's not cutting...:((

      Delete
    2. Cutting to the basket is not one of Lin's strengths. Parsons is definitely better than Lin in this category, I admit this.

      Delete
    3. He's not cutting because Harden wouldn't like it. Harden didn't want anyone to clog the paint so so could drive. Just part of the game plan.

      Delete
    4. no shit parsons is better at cutting but parsons shouldn't be dribbling/handling the ball either.

      Delete
  74. What a great game.

And you all wonder why Lin is inconsistent...

    ReplyDelete
  75. Give Jeremy the effing ball you idiot McHale!! Let him handle the offense. Beverly is not a long term solution. Harden iso hero ball does not work, is ugly, and boring.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Please, Mchale hasn't let Lin handle the offense the entire season (only in spurts), why the hell is going to let Lin Handle the offense now?!

And to all the Bev dick suckers, wow.

      Delete
  76. Lin needs to start taking more shots and contribute on the offensive side. He's not doing anything and McHale is gonna bench him in the 2h.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Unless the Rockets had already decided that they were going to lose this game and give more playing time to develop the bench, I hope Jeremy won't think twice about leaving the Rockets as soon as his contract is up. He's not allowed to play PG this game. So frustrating.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Harden wants to establish his greatness against Spurs, so really, it's Harden against the Spurs.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Let's be fair, Beverley did have an impact on this game while Lin probably had a negative impact. Beverley scored 11 points and was +6 while Lin scored 0 point and was -9.

Problem is not Beverley. It's that McHale would not treat Lin fairly. Harden and Parsons shot poorly and had negative impact but they are in no matter what.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Like a lot of us said already, it's not that we don't see Ben playing better than Lin. We'd even fault Jeremy for not performing if McHale held everyone on the team accountable the same way.

Lin looks to be singled out and that is where my problem lies.

      Delete
    2. Could not agree more... Jeremy is not treated the same as Harden and Parsons...

      Delete
    3. I totally get what you are all saying, but I still think Beverly is a better backup than what Harden and Parson's have. I think Beverly is actually a really good backup where the others are, perhaps, closer to serviceable. But that is debatable and I don't pretend to be anything resembling an expert.

      Delete
    4. if by "good" you mean someone who plays like TD - looks for his own shot, doesn't really know how to run an offense (as the main guy), plays "pesky" D, then yes he's a good back up. I do believe this is the kind of PG HOU needs though.

Bev has been this way since college.

      Delete
  80. Yes Lin is treated unfairly but he need to man up. His confidence is easily shaken, he need to toughen up and watch his own back. stop acting like everyone on the team is his family. He got no killer mentality and his heart is too soft!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Well if u think this game is ugly. Wait till the playoffs. If Lin is being treated like this during an important regular season game, how do u think McHake will use him during the playoffs? The leash will be much shorter.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. by this point in the season, the coaching staff should have their rotation set. What we've learned is that Lin's role is replaceable.

You are in denial if you think Mchale is going to change anything in the playoffs. He's felt comfortable giving Lin limited minutes, he's not going to increase them in the playoffs.

      Delete
    2. I don't think Lin is playing badly, it's just that he is not much of a factor, positively or negatively.

Maybe Spurs are throwing a new look at him and he just has to figure out what is going on before he can attack.

This is an all hands on deck game (should be a loss, but hopefully Rockets can steal), so whatever Jeremy, and rest of Rockets can learn from game, I am fine with.

Like the D, because Spurs are not shredding them with their efficiency.

      Delete
    3. I don't think McHale will dare to do that in a playoff game. More viewership, media presence, more pressure to play his starters.

      Delete
    4. Actually I think it will go down as he clearly doesn't trust him.

    5. If u watch the first half, u will see that Jeremy rarely gets the ball on offense. We are back to beginning of the season where Lin stood and watched.

    6. Exactly.

This game could be a warning of how McFail will use (or not use) Lin in the playoffs.

Lin may not get much more playing time in the playoffs with Houston than he did (while injured) with New York!

  83. Second game in a roll that Lin is not playing to the par.
Lin is going to start at the second half.
Just remember to throw the ball to Harden at the last minutes, my man!

  84. Lol I bet McHale wants to play Beverley 48 minutes in this game.

I am not even sure if Lin will start the 2nd half.

  85. Lin will be benched at the first mistake.

  86. Lin'll start at the second half rolling and runs like lightning.
    Don't worry!

  87. The fault with Jeremy is that he thinks he will get more playing time if he plays like McHale wants him to despite the fact that it limits his game.

  88. Games like this is one reason why i have health issues now.i have missed several games bec my pmd advised me not to stay up late. Most rockets games end late here in the east. However, more than late nights, it is the misuse, abuse and under use of jeremy that causes my BP to go up.So, to all of you lin fans, watch that heart and if you think your pressure is starting to rise, turn off the tv and smile....tomorrow is another day with a big SIGH

  89. Are the Spurs doing something to prevent Lin from a making an impact?? Someone help me here...

  90. I'm sure Lin is going to start at the second half running and gunning.

    1. Even if he does, won't change the fact that he is not respected in this team. It will help the team get a win but his role remains the same, UNKNOWN
