  1. Uh oh harden is asking for the ball~~~

  2. Three layups blown by Asik, costing Lin assists.

No PG in the league deals with this kind of inepititude. I mean, even Kemba in Charlotte has guys that can dunk.

Houston's lucky Jeremy isn't like me. I'd be calling out my crappy teammates and coach in postgame just like John Wall did the other night.

    1. And Asik was blaming Lin for his butter fingers earlier in the season.

    4. I think we should chip in and fly zxcvb and Solidz75 to Houston to have a talk with his coaches and teammates :-)

  3. Yeah, Harden is trying to ball hog to get himself going. Give to Lin and Parsons.

  4. Just got back from celebrating my dad's birthday and going out to eat. It looks like Lin is having a good solid game so far. Glad to be back to catch the 2nd half action although I am DVRing the whole game.

  5. Wow lin took 10 shots already? Did someone show rox the graphs thread?

  6. U think McHale is finally seeing thru his blinders?

    1. Is McHale handcuffing Lin tonight? It doesn't seem so since he is having a good game so far. 19 points, 8 assists, 1 steal and 2 TOs.

      Delete
    2. No. Not even close.

It's all about Beverly struggling. That's the only reason he's letting Lin play aggressive.

McHale will never believe in Lin. He can only be forced to let him play his style by Les/threat of firing.

      Delete
    3. No I think Lin is just playing how he wants to play despite what McHale may have said.

LOL, Mavs announcer called it "easy."

  8. JLin coast-to-coast ... scorebox off screen so cannot mark time. About 8:20.

  9. Looks like Parsons brought his game tonight.

    1. Yes I will. I'm a moron for trying to put a ceiling into this unbelievable player. I should've been fired for what I have done to him this year. I see that Linsanity was not a fluke. I need to STFU and let him do his thing. Please forgive me linfans.

    1. McHale will say, Lin we are trying to win the game. Stop trying to accumulate points and pass the ball.

      Delete
    2. Should have been 10 assists. He didn't get the assist on Asik reverse layup.

      Delete
    3. McHale will say:

"I dont want to win your way - I want to lose my way!"

      Delete
    4. Should have been 14. Asik blew 3 easy layups (4 actually, but got to the line on one). And then the usual scorekeeping nonsense.

      Delete
  13. Jeremy's in a good mood. He's been smiling and laughing the whole game.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Lin using glass and there is that smile we were so used to seeing last year when he was with the Knicks. He is having a ball tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  15. 21/9 in 24 mintues...my lord what a talent.

Imagine if he was allowed to handle the ball every night!

Jeremy just has to keep Lin-barassing McHale till Les fires or disciplines him.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Seriously, I see Lin handle the ball just as much in the past but he's just very aggressive tonight.

      Delete
    2. :) it takes a lot of time and effort to domesticate a scotsman

      Delete
    3. Not really, geronimo.

Whenever Jeremy handles the ball, he puts up All-Star numbers with only one exception all season (the first Minnesota game).

If he were the primary ballhandler, he'd have Jrue Holiday's numbers AT LEAST. Probably somewhere between Jrue and Tony Parker.

      Delete
  16. Lin is SO DAMN AGGRESSIVE TODAY. I LIKE I LIKE.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Wow. Lin is having fun!!! Great to see

    ReplyDelete
  18. Asik got double double. But, he also is costing Lin his double double. So, that's net zero double double.

    1. When Lin plays well there is always someone who plays as well. He never takes other people's production.

    1. Cuz Asik put the ball on the floor twice I guess?

    2. He did get the assist. He is at 9 assists now.

      Delete
    3. 9th assist was when Harden was hitting his 3

      Delete
    4. 6.28 mark, Lin didn't get credited with an assist for Asik reverse layup.

      Delete
    5. It happens to Jeremy all the time. Wrong skin color.

Rondo would have gotten 2 assists on that play, lol.

  20. Collison couldn't guard Lin last year (Knicks vs. Indiana), and he still can't.

IIRC, Lin came up big in fourth quarter that game to close out game.

And I remember reading an Indiana Pacers blog complaining about how Collison was just too small to guard Lin.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Boo Lin benched.

    1. He missed a shot...that makes him trash in McHale's eyes.

But it's probably not a bad idea to rest him, anyway. Such a big lead and it's good to give your 2nd and 3rd stringers real experience beyond garbage time.

      Delete
    2. Yes prob is. Sorry guys.

    1. He sit at exactly after he played 25 minutes, just like last game. Thats hope he will show up again in 4th Q

    2. This is a type if game when Lin can rest the entire fourth when the team is up by30 points.

      Delete
  27. What a game!!! I knew Lin would come thru but man Parsons, calm down. Lol. No, seriously, my opponent in fantasy has parsons and he might cause me the playoffs.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Haha, McHale is really predictable. Take out Lin so Harden and Parsons can score more garbage points and finish higher scorers than Lin so for people who just see box scores would say "Harden and Parsons lead Rockets to win".

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. 100% true. I suspect Morey is encouraging this, though.

Like I said before, the goal is to INFLATE Harden and Parsons stats. That will make Harden look like a Durant-level star and Parsons an ideal trade-chip.

Morey already took this approach with Martin (during preseason), Patterson and Morris and then Toney Douglas.

      Delete
  29. McHale: "George Karl is right. Jeremy is truly the engine that made this offense rolled Dallas 32-11. Wait... Beverley made a beautiful steal and layup! I wish Jeremy can be more like Bev!! Jeremy, come here!!!"

  30. Looks like with rotations, Lin might get in at 9 or 6 in Q4, which means double double and <30 mins this game. What say Solidz75? I guess I don't get flame shields, as I thought >32min.

    1. Lin won't come back in if the lead keeps at 20-30.

    ReplyDelete
  32. McHale still won't take out Harden until he scores his 20 lol.

    3. I think Morey is show casing Parsons so he will be involved in a trade off season for another superstar.

      Delete
    4. With Parsons minimal contract and how he is playing I am sure many teams will be asking about him. Plus, he is young.

      Delete
    5. Lin should not be back in to play these garbage minutes and risk injury.

What Parsons is doing here is shameless.

      Delete
  52. Here we go with Parsons' TO again driving to the rim.

  54. Parsons is having quite a night tonight. How come he is still playing and Lin is on the bench?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. everyone except Lin gets to pad their stats

      Delete
    2. McHale loves him because he's tall and white.

Les/Morey allows it because it inflates his trade-value. That's what they did with Martin, Patterson, Morris and Douglas.

Watch Morey use Chandler to trade for Love in the offseason (or something like that).

      Delete
    3. The other team's GMs are so blind and naive?

      Delete
    4. YES.

Just take a look around the league at how many idiotic contracts, mismatches rosters and overpaid players there are.

-David Lee is being paid like a superstar despite allowing 61% shooting (check out the recent Grantland article).

-Jazz have 4 great PF/Cs and 0 quality guards...and yet they've made no trades. Now they'll lose Millsap and/or Jefferson for nothing.

-Keith Smart was hired as a head coach. Twice.

      Delete
  55. Unless the lead gets under 18 or so, Jeremy's done.

Too bad Asik's horrible offensive game cost Jeremy 4 easy assists that any other NBA center would make.

Still, his crazy CP3 stats (21/9) in 25 minutes are Lincredible...only 2 or 3 PGs could ever do that next to a ball-dominant SG. Jeremy's done it 7-8 times this year despite McHale attempts to bring him down.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Can anyone tell me why Parsons is still in this game, trying to pad his stats and get his 30?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. New career high so it's good.
      And he's the only starter.

      Delete
    2. If I had to guess... they need to keep a scorer in to make sure something horrific doesn't happen like the Mav's getting back in the game. But really, who cares? I would not be happy, remotely, if Lin was put back in. He takes a beating with the way he drives and this game is already a win. By the way, this game makes me disagree further with you: Parsons is athletic.

      Delete
    3. They gave it to him and then he's out.

      Delete
    4. Getting a few more garbage points = Parsons is good and athletic?!

If you are a box score watcher, sure.

      Delete
    5. Cara, you're an intelligent person. You know that when I said Parsons is athletic and demonstrated it this game I was referring to his performance as a whole, not the remaining minutes of the game.

      Delete
  57. Plz let Lin pad his stats now kthx!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Nah. Too long a rest tightens the muscles (esp. in basketball).

      Let him bask in a CP3-type PER-formance.

      Delete
    2. Usually thats what I would say (when the game is close or even on the line). But - with a 32 pt lead and players going nuts and fouling out of frustration I would say -> give Lin some popcorn and a bottle of light beer!

      Delete
    3. Why wouldnt he?

Besides - theres an interview with one of Lins roommates back in college. According to him -> Lin drinks!

    Oh well.

  60. T-Rob is playing with more ease and comfort in this game. He is grabbing rebounds, causing an assist with a steal and even scoring.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I like Robinson's presence to grab offensive rebounds.

    ReplyDelete
  62. So basically:

They kept Harden in to get his 20

Then they switch to Parsons to get his 30

What about Lin?!? *cry* Give him his double double.

    ReplyDelete
  63. If McHale was a Lin fan, he'd put him back in to get 1 more assist. But we all know that's not going to happen.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Nah, I am a Lin fan, I don't want Lin to be a stat pader like Parsons and Harden.

      Delete
    2. It's too late for that. The muscles stiffen if you sit too long.

Jeremy should have 13 assists tonight if Asik was even an average finisher at the rim.

Tyson Chandler is the one Knicks player who actually made Jeremy better instead of the other way around. Even with no post moves, he was a NASTY finisher. Dunks and alley-oops and even a couple nice layups.

      Delete
    3. yes, it makes no sense to risk injury to your starters in a blowout. So it's all good.

      Delete
  64. I really don't care if Lin doesn't get the 10th assist. Very happy with his performance. I thought he tried to be a homerun hitter and not the scrub McHake is molding him to be. I hope he plays like this every game from now on. This is when he is at his best.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yep - when he plays like today NOBODY can criticise him in any way - not even McHale. No one can say he didnt do his part. Its garbage time now. Too big a lead to let the valuable starters play.

      Delete
    2. I second that. Lin was very aggressive from 1Q to 3Q and proved himself to be the key player in both ends of the floor.

Everyone including the announcers knew that. They commended Jeremy's high level aggressiveness.

    3. I have no problem with this type of 4th quarter benching.

    1. What are you talking about? We're all still cussing and ranting! LOL. No matter how well Jeremy plays, he'll be mistreated by McHale eventually.

He was super-hot in late December...and then McHale benched him and took the ball out of his hands, which caused a long losing streak. McHale would rather lose than be proven wrong about Jeremy.

And like I said below, Morey and Les allow it because it fits with their long-term plan.

      Delete
    2. LOL. C'mon @zxcvb , at least in your heart , you know like I do that Lin will come out on top , no matter what.
McHale is nothing compared to the things he's gone through in his life. So , for your own sake (watch out for that Blood Pressure..hehe) , and at least for my kid's sake who also reads this board , forego of the cussing. :) Peace! :>

And btw , I completely understand the rants and frustrations. It just shows how passionate Lin's fans are. :>

      Delete
  69. The more I think about it, the more I believe Lin is being mistreated for long-term reasons.

Yes, McHale doesn't believe in Jeremy at all, but he'd have no choice but to play him if Morey and Les FORCED him to.

But Morey and Les won't force him because they want to INFLATE Harden and Parson's stats to land a superstar PF like Love or Aldridge. And to be fair, that strategy worked with Harden and T-Rob (a raw but 5th pick).

I just hope that by the THIRD YEAR of Jeremy's contract, he'll be allowed to play his game and lead this team to title contention. Making 15M will ensure he doesn't get benched during crunch time unless he's really struggling.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I don't really think McHale is just following orders and doing this deliberately.

Harden has a long term contract and is untouchable so it's meaningless to inflate his stats except maybe fulfilling his ego which is naive on Harden's part if he really thinks stats are everything for someone his statues already in this league.

As for Parsons, I don't really think Morey would want to trade him, not until his last year of his contract anyway, since his contract is tiny and fits extremely well under the salary cap and it's difficult to match value for balue with this small pf a contracy and you can't find another starter with this type of contract.

I think McHale honestly believe that no matter what happens on the court and whether who play well or not, he needs at least one of Parsons and Harden to ensure the score. He basically and honestly think that Parsons and Harden are his star players.

      Delete
    2. If they want to contend for the title, Mchale doesn't have the IQ to take them there. The sooner he is gone, the faster they will reach that goal. The playoffs is a whole different animal. Defense win championship.

Before the Orlando game, McHale told the media that Jeremy was banged-up and may not play. But Jeremy said that same afternoon that he was fine and definitely ready to go. By contrast, Harden actually was banged up and didn't make any early statement (even though he also played0.

  76. Well, not much to say about Half 2 except that Lin was allowed to open game up and for all the best bball guys out there, why did this work so well and why didn't this work in the last 2 easy games that we lost?

Funny, though ... 24 Lin, 24 Bev. Box score diff ok, lots of chance to see Garcia, DMo, TR, and TOb now.

    1. Lin put up 21 points. He has creds with McHale for the game.

Heh I bet you Mavs going to put the hurt on Lin next game, he was pretty much instrumental for that horrible 3q for Dallas.

Mav Post game: 19-1 to end 1st half, 15-0 start on 3rd Q.
