  1. Harden is out against the Clippers. Can Jeremy do enough to bring his team a V?

  2. Whoa. Harden out. Harden sticking it to McHale. You want to bench me...ok how bout I won't play at all.

    1. Is he really retaliating against mchale? On the previous thread, someone mentioned harden is out for sore foot.. But come to think of it, he had been playing 40 mins every game and never had this problem. How ironic that when he got benched, he had this issue.

  3. Jeremy can help the team get a W but he needs his teammates to cooperate... Let lin play PG and direct the plays, play teamball and help in defense. But the most impt factor is, mchale shld give his 100% trust in lin for him to be confident again to trust his skills...

    ReplyDelete
  4. I hope Hollins or Odom do not try to injure Lin again. I was at that game and Odom put on a risky place that could've tore his ACL and Hollins stepped on his wrist and kicked him.

Mchale says James Anderson will start for Harden (out with ankle). Also: Greg Smith to start at 4 tonight to better match up w/ Griffin.

    ReplyDelete
  6. OMG.... just heard the announcer said Harden is out with foot injury. interesting to see how McHell plays Lin - prob still don't want Lin to have a good stat if he can help it - but mchell will take a win if Lin has to have a good stat in order to win.

don't see how the rox can win with or w/o harden. maybe the rox can pull it off. w/b great.

    ReplyDelete
  7. CP3 looks tiny next to Lin.
He needs to attack CP3 on offense.

Lin needs to get a good start here. Smith and Asik will be huge matchup against Griffin and Jordan.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I'm just happy that Jeremy Lin has not missed any games.

Last summer, the haters were CROWING that Jeremy Lin was a Linjury liability and wasn't black or white enough to survive an entire NBA season.

Instead, Jeremy Lin has la-da-da'd through his 30ish minutes a game with hardly even breaking a sweat - or an ankle.

  9. hopefully cpaul don't play with dirty like he normally does in houston's court - w/o at least getting the foul calls.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. typos.... it's on a break now.

I meant CPaul usually plays very dirty and sly against Lin without getting calls from refs. For example, Paul initiated a contact with Lin by coming at Lin (from 3' away) and pushing Lin - The last time Paul got rewarded with 2 FT in LA.

      Delete
  10. Lin got hit in the face by Grif.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Lin is doing a good job, turning back Chris Paul and running a smooth offense.

However, Greg Smith's cluelessness on defense is allowing DeAndre Jordan to crash the offensive boards.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Rockets are playing their usual pace..no one can complain that they started sluggish.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Greg Smith as PF. That's a great move.
James Anderson has his chance replacing Harden.

Lin is the bona fide PG, at last.
    Go rockets!!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Greg Smith owned his one-on-one matchup with Griffin!

    ReplyDelete
  15. as usual, the biased announcers - early on they said "there goes lin's 2nd TO" - yet lin has one(1) TO (not 2)...... geeez.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. sigh..... played 10 min and Lin has 3 TO ALREADY !!!! sigh.... pay attention Lin!!! makes SAS happy (;~(

      Delete
    2. He's playing to make God happy. I guess that's what God likes, more TO's.

      Delete
  16. EXCELLENT defense by the Rockets -

    without Harden!!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. It will take Smith sometime to adjust to his new role but he'll be there.
Everyone is helping out. No problem.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Greg Smith looks like a healthy DHoward out there!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That's because Blake Griffin has ABANDONED Greg Smith in order to double team Lin on the perimeter.

Smith's gotta make the Clippers PAY.

      Delete
  19. dammit CP3 red Lin like a book, here comes PB

    ReplyDelete

    1. That kind of passing doesn't do a shit against someone like CP3. I don't think Rockets can keep this up with Clippers.

      Delete
  20. Two new pieces needed to be adjusted to the flow.
I like to see Anderson make his first shot.
Smith is giving us the offensive rebound. That's great.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Ack. Bad passes by Lin. Take your shot

    ReplyDelete
  22. CP3 has been watching JLin tapes. He knows how Jeremy likes to pass when doubled.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Lin's passes got stolen 2 times by CP3.
    What will McHale do?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Jeremy 2/2...but then he overpassed AGAIN...two quick TOs.

STOP OVERPASSING. My God...what is wrong with Jeremy's confidence these days.

He had a wide-open floater he's made 100 times before.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. McHale will bench him if he shoots too much :(

      Delete
    2. I'm so sick of this overpassing.

He passes into traffic instead of taking a wide-open midrange shot.

      Delete
    3. CONSTANT Clippers double teams, that's the problem.

Nobody else on the Rockets is getting doubled.

      Delete
    4. If McHale is a good coach, he needs to tell Lin to shoot it if he's open.

      Delete
    5. Agree. Lin is so hesitant to shoot and is forcing passes which are telegraphed.

      Delete
    6. Doesn't matter KHuang...that mid-range floater can be taken no problem.

      Delete
    7. Try shooting over 6'9" Blake Griffin when he helps Chris Paul jam Jeremy Lin in the perimeter

Shooting over a max contract shotblocker with quick feet like Blake Griffin is way harder than you guys think it is.

      Delete
  25. two CARELESS turnovers by Lin.

Those are unacceptable. Lin deserves to be criticized for handing the ball over to Chris Paul with so little resistance.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Lin needs more help in running the offense.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Lin needs to wake up with them passes he is plsying against num 1 in steals cp3 is reading him like a book. Costly tos that turned into 5 quick points for clios.

    ReplyDelete
  28. if mchale take lin out, there is no one to blame. Harden out , u got to take charge

    ReplyDelete
  29. Lin made those mistakes over and over again.

    ReplyDelete
  30. So harden out. Maybe Lin could play more minutes?

    Yeah riiiight.

    ReplyDelete
  31. hi y'all ... L'interesting game. Lost of plot lines might resolve.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Lin just needs to adjust to new pieces and it takes time before he can pass them the ball.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Looks like Lin passes because he doesn't want to shoot - or maybe he's scared..

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Maybe not feeling confident...we know why

      Delete
    2. Are you guys watching the same game I'm watching???

Don't you guys see Griffin and Paul doubleteam hounding Lin all the way out to the 3 point line????

      Delete
  34. Remember the days when Jeremy would make the same type of mistakes, but D'Antoni would keep him in the game, and Jeremy would adjust and take over? Yeah... those were the days.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Oh man. Loved it. The most exciting basketball since Jordan. He may have had 7 turnovers but he won nearly every game.

      Delete
  35. Beverley in.

The Rockets are getting burned because their guys are help defending Chris Paul.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Anderson made his first basket.
The rest of the team is playing fine.
Smith, Parson and Lin will be back in the second quarter.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Beverley is giving too much respect and space to CP3

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Chris Paul is popping jumpshots in Beverly's face.

      Delete
  38. Beverley not able to challenge Paul like Lin can.

This is why Houston starts Lin.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Anderson has not once passed to Jeremy...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The Clippers are double teaming Lin.

Can't force a pass to a guy who's not open.

      Delete
    2. He has the tendency not to.....very obvious, saw that for many games

      Delete
  40. Without Harden on the floor, Lin is getting all the defensive attention. Clippers know that nobody else needs to be doubled.

    ReplyDelete
  41. As much as I like j lin and want him to succeed, he always goes over the pick and ball watches.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Parsons has accidentally set a pick twice on LIn

      Delete
    2. That's because Lin has the size and quickness and hops to contest the jumpshot after recovering off the pick.

Chris Paul didn't light up Jeremy Lin, despite constant attempts by Paul to score.

      Delete
  42. Lin is still in the mode of facilitating.

He needs to know that he and Parsons need to score first to replace Harden's scoring then pass when double-teamed.

    ReplyDelete
  43. McHale just effing with our emotions... Takes harden out. Plays Lin less.

    ReplyDelete
  44. There are two new ones in the starting line up.
It would take some game time to get used to it.
As long as Asik and Smith are getting the rebounds; the rockets is fine.
What is the line up now? Unthinkable.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Jeremy is only doing one thing wrong. Overpassing.

That's it. Overpassing. He just needs to take more shots instead of throwing terrible TOs.

Everything will be fine if he takes more shots. STOP PASSING IN TRAFFIC.

TAKE THE SHOT. You haven't even missed a shot yet!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Shoot over Blake Griffin who's doubling Lin all the way to the 3 point line?

      Uh huh.

Greg Smith. He needs to cut to open spots and SCORE.

      Delete
  46. I can't believe the Rockets only took 3 threes in the fist quarter.

    ReplyDelete
  47. 3 TO's already :( he looks good though knocked down that 3!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I would think Beverly should start instead of Anderson.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Beverley's defense is too weak for him to start.

      Delete
    2. They need someone to take minutes at the Point besides Jeremy, which is why it's good Patrick comes off the bench. Anderson is more of an off guard. And they don't seem to be giving Aaron Brooks much run since they picked him up.

      Delete
    3. Brooks can't defend either, so he can't crack the rotation.

The Rockets are giving Beverley all sorts of defensive help, and the Clippers are exploiting that.

      Delete
    4. Anderson was rarely used and did not have enough time on the court.
To be fair, he needs time to adjust too.

      Delete
  49. Parsons is playing terribly, missing all kinds of point blank shots. Maybe he's tired ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No, he's actually being DEFENDED.

Caron Butler is a good defensive player.

At least Parson isn't getting doubleteamed like Lin is.

      Delete
  50. McHell is so passive.
    Jordan is in now.
What will you do? let him do the damage.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. McHale sees the 2nd team playing well and aggressively so he wants to know how long he can extend it. Usually it's too late.

      Delete
  51. Looks like Beverly will play the entire 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters ... because he's playing sooooo good against Eric Bledsoe off the bench.

    ReplyDelete
  52. The way on is playing .. I doubt we see much of Jlin tonite...

    ReplyDelete
  53. Lin not in after the time-out. Time to turn this game off...

    ReplyDelete
  54. Yeah, I may take a nap soon.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Lin losing more and more minutes every game .. Anderson comes in before Lin.. Did u guys really expect something different?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Don't get Parson into foul trouble.
    Rest him.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Clip announcers.. Wow 8 guys touch the ball before they score!

    ReplyDelete
  58. CP3 leads the league in steals. Those were not bad passes by Lin. They were mistakes but he would have adjusted. Really hate the way he doesn't get a chance to do so.

    ReplyDelete
  59. The first team is essentially resting.
    It's 2nd team against 2nd team.
They both played the night before.
Lin'll come back in five minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Amazing how DeAndre Jordan is ineffective with CP3 on the bench

    ReplyDelete
  61. Lol. Lin only comes in when Beverley needs a breather

    ReplyDelete
  62. I guess the Clippers could afford to put their 2nd team in too long.
The bench of the rockets is going to eat'em up.

    ReplyDelete
  63. When will Lin have his 1st assist?

    ReplyDelete
  64. I don't care if he goes 5-15.

JEREMY MUST SHOOT THE DAMN BALL.

    STOP OVERPASSING.

    Let's see if he adjusts.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Lin has played SG for too long.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Lin's play are so predictable .. Cp3 is killing him

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. If he doen not pass, I guess coaches will kill him anyway :P

      Delete
  67. Lin just have to take what the Clippers give to him.
    shot the damn ball.

    ReplyDelete
  68. CP3 has Lin read like a book.. :(

    ReplyDelete
  69. Lol! Another TO. What can Lin do?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Play over it. pass or shoot.

      Delete
    2. SHOOT THE BALL.

He's turning it over by not taking any mid-range shots and overpassing in traffic.

On the bright side...they're winning against a great team.

So he's doing everything else right.

      Delete
    3. Lin gets credited for turnovers because Asik can't hold onto the ball and others don't know how to come to the ball or seal off their man in the post. Lin is not the reason they can't catch the pass.

      Delete
    4. Not this game, ABC. Usually...but not today.

      Delete
  70. The scenario is quite different.
In the first quarter, the Clippers were hitting 3s.
In the 2nd quarter, it is the rockets.

    ReplyDelete
  71. lin's plays is being read, dribble, trap, pass out, or pick and roll pass, u can tell he is looking for the pass as soon as hes gone around the pick....so predictable

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Chris Paul knows Lin is so much more dangerous as a passer getting his teammates involved than as individual shooter.

Till he proves otherwise, he will let Lin shoot and just play Lin for the pass.

Doc Rivers made adjustment out of halftime during Linsanity 1.0 and seemed to have defense bait Lin into making passes that weren't really open.

      Delete
  72. Yeah, Lin not having a good game. Way way to easy to read. He's stopped shooting. In NYC, Lin looked for his shot first and then would pass.

I seriously doubt he will be playing the 4th tonight.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. McFail getting into his head again, telling him NOT to be a high scorer the way Harden is.

      Delete
  73. Everyone gives up a little bit of himself.
The rocket's going to be back on track.
I didn't know that Garcia can shoot that well.
He better fight for his job. He's more experienced.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Wow all these scrubs not passing the ball to Lin.. Learned well from McHale.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yep, Lin has lost confidence. He'll get it back though. Not with this team. He'll still play well in spurts though

      Delete
  75. Lin can't do shit against CP3 or Bledsoe. If he don't score at least 25 Hou is done. CP3 is getting his. Lin needs to step his game up. Score more and stop making bone-headed turnovers.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Lin is a one trick pony this game.

    Gawd take a friggin shot.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Long time haven't see Lin to have a good game lol

    ReplyDelete
  78. at least hes making his tech free throws...

    ReplyDelete
  79. What happened to Lin? He looks like he is just going through the motions. No passion. No drive. No confidence. Has he hit the rookie wall?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Lin is playing against CP.
He and Anderson needs time to play as a team.
They have to play it through.
    Others are doing fine.
    The rockets rebound well.

    ReplyDelete
  81. again, he looked for the roll first...coudln't find one then he pulls up to shoot...out of rhythm so he misses

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. His shots are short these days. I think he is fatigued.

      Delete
  82. Ever since he spent his night cheering for Harvard, he has been in a downward spiral.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I think they start Anderson too soon.
Delfino will work with Lin better.
Why don't they start Delfino in the first place?

I think the starting line up should be Lin, Delfino, Parson, Smith, Asik.
It'll be a strong line up.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Refs want Rocks to win!!!

    ReplyDelete
  85. With Delfino, it will takes pressure off Lin
With Smith, he can match Griffin (consider the salary; it is a great deal)
With Asik, he plays well against Jordan.
    Garcia is a bonus.

Hurray, finally a perfect line up.

    ReplyDelete
  86. These clipper announcers have no clue about the rockets.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I agree though. This is not at all a good team for Lin however. They do not know this.

      Delete
  87. Clippers announcers praising Lin like crazy!!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Just praising him about how he overcomes adversity. How he is a good player

      Delete
  88. I LOVE BEING RIGHT.

    I told you so.

EVERYTHING WILL BE FIXED IF HE TAKES MORE SHOTS.

God...I don't know what's wrong with him. Confidence shot by McHale, I guess.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You're right. It's almost like McHale or Harden is telling Lin not to shoot that much.

      Delete
    2. I know! I'm beginning to think that. Because Jeremy isn't that stupid.

They're telling him to get his teammates involved early NO MATTER WHAT. But that results in TOs because his teammates suuuuuuuck outside of Harden. They don't cut, they don't shoot well off the catch and they don't make layups.

Taking shots -- make or miss -- gets Jeremy FIRED UP on the defensive end as well.

      Delete
  89. Its not a usual offense ran by Houston tonight.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Very unusual.
I get to like it more as time goes.

      Delete
  90. Nobody has clue of the rockets.
The rockets is looking for a workable combination.

I sure glad they find it with Lin, Delfino, Asik, Smith + Garcia/Parson

    ReplyDelete
  91. Lin made an unnecessary foul to CP3 but had a nice D on him in the last possession!

Don't forget that Lin's D on CP3 was pretty good and definitely much better than Dev!

    ReplyDelete
  92. Lin just have to take what the Clippers give him.
If they let Lin open, he should shoot the darn ball.
If they double team him, he should pass.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. He should avoid passing in traffic when CP3 is near him.
CP3 knows his outlet passes already.

Either he backtracks or just shoot it.

      Delete
    2. He should do this every effin game no matter what McHale says.

      Delete
    3. Don't listen to McHell. That's poisonous.
      Starting with Anderson.
Come to think of it; it just doesn't make sense, does it?

      Delete
  93. It's simple guys. Jeremy "hero ball" = wins and stats. Jeremy "Derek Fisher" = losses and TOs.

I say "hero ball' in quotes because Jeremy's success always coincides with the success of his team unless most hero-ballers.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Not making excuses for Jeremy, but if he has a pick and roll partner who can catch alley-oops, Chris Paul can't make those steals. Something we can look forward to in the future hopefully.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. With Asik + Smith alongside, Lin'll find them.
Smith and Parson are steals that the rockets ever found.
The rockets finally have found their forwards in Smith, Parson, perhaps Garcia in the playoff.
All it takes is to have Harden sit out a few games.

      Delete
  95. Guys. It is balanced scoring.
I don't think you'll see Anderson back for long.

    Starting Anderson is a mistake.
It's better to start Delfino in place of Harden.
Garcia is on a hot streak. His experience can help the team. He earned his spot today.
Smith, my long time favourite, finally gets a start as PF.
    What have the coaches done?
We have a PF all the time. They just didn't see it.
Asik and Smith. They can out-rebound Griffin and Jordan.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Jeremy is hesitant to take shots...something or someone is causing him to

    ReplyDelete
  97. Refs respecting Lin's blocking ability so much that his foul turned to a great block!!! :D

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah but they gave the ball right back by calling a ticky tacky foul on him.

      Delete
  98. There's no way he can play with confidence with Anderson.
Delfino can calm him down on the court.
Delfino is worth every penny the received from the rockets.
I hope that McHell see the winning combination now:
Delfino + Lin; Asik + Smith.

The difference of the score is because of FT.

    ReplyDelete
  99. With harden out, houston managed to take the lead against a very good team. This only shows that Harden is not the only reason why rockets have won in the past as how a lot of people view it and give him sole credit for.The scoring is pretty much balanced, when everyone gets involved in offense, you get this result and everyone stays active in the game.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Agree.

With Harden out, the rockets have found the missing pieces.
They are going to do well from now on unless McHell turned back to Harden-centered offense again.

The front court with Smith + Asik is just great.
Just don't get Smith into foul trouble, the rockets is going to be excellent.

The bench of Beverly, Anderson, Garcia, DMo are among the best.

      Delete
  100. Go rockets! May the force be with you until the end of the game. How come i become a rockets fan without harden? Maybe i will be a hardcore rockets fan without mchail.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Lin is getting a mouthful from mchale ? What for ?

    ReplyDelete
  102. Lin is making a hell of adjustment with the new line up.
As a PG, what an adjustment to make?

    ReplyDelete
  103. Asik + Smith + Parson: the most inexpensive front court.

God must be behind this, many good things start to happen to the rockets when Lin join the team.

This is a winning combination that the rockets have been looking for.
Now we have a potent PF.

Just wonder who is backing them up though. Oh, that has to wait.
    TRob, Garcia will do.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Lin in it not, the ball movement is muuuuuch better without harden.
