  1. Suns commentators are high on Aaron Brooks. They think he will be playing tonight. He is in uniform.

    2. A good thing is that the Suns also played last night. But the game is in Phoenix.

Lin is better player than Dragic, but Dragic has been fantastic lately (but, imo, been so so all season, tho didn't have any surgery) with his individual stat lines; he also has better players around him - supposedly anyway, on paper, as far as experienced players and their team salary. And they have picked up an expensive amnestied player to boot (Scola). However, all the offense went through Dragic, which is not the case with Lin playing for McHell, Damnpson, and their gm, Sorry.

I hope Lin plays great and aggressive. Even though it's just one game, if Dragic plays better than Lin, horns will be blown all over the Houston media. Lin needs to score or assist a lot; limit the type of assists and defense that doesn't show up in his personal stats (That's playing team ball, Lin! SMH), so that the Houston media will shut the heck up.

  2. Lin with his first assist to D-Mo who did a turn around and got a good bounce.

    1. I am glad to see Harden was not clogging up the top of the key like he was last night.

    1. And, Harden wearing track shoes?

    2. I guess it has been shown that high top shoes didn't help prevent ankle injury.http://lowerextremityreview.com/article/ankle-sprain-prevention-revisits-shoes-as-solution

  5. Lin with an excellent anticipation play to tap the ball back in bound to Harden who gave it up but Dragic made a TO to Parsons who scored on the AND 1.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Wow Parsons missed two 3s and a fts?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Uniforms of the Suns said Los Suns tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Marcus Morris isn't a free throw shooter as well. He is starting tonight for the Suns.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Marcus Morris knew that play! Forced Lin into a TO.

    ReplyDelete

    1. LOL Lin thought Morris is his teammate.

      Delete
    2. Marcus Morris paid them back with a traveling violation.

      Delete
    3. Harden and Lin might pass to the Morris brothers a few more times before the game is over.

      Delete
    4. was sad to see Morris traded. he was one of my favorite on the Rox. smh. but he's happy playing with his twin bro.

      Delete
    5. Yup Rockets might be a better team before the trades.

      Delete
    6. It really did look like Harden forgot which team Marcus was on. There was no Rocket in the vicinity, so maybe his instincts just kicked in -- "Morris open near the 3pt line!"

      Delete
    7. I never liked Marcus Morris. He was a one dimensional player. At least with T-Rob he is still raw and still have time to correct those deficiencies.

      Delete
    8. Of course, TR provides better D.

But, I think Rockets has better chance of knocking out higher seed teams with MM and PP.

    1. I thought Lin had 2 TOs. I guess scorekeeper took one away.

  11. Harden clogging up the top of the key again. Move!

  12. So far lots of turn over in this game. Asik and D-Mo getting beat inside by Marcus and Phoenix big men.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. D-Mo and T-Rob not ready to handle NBA bigs .... why did Morey trade Patterson and Marcus Morris again? He must have thought that ANYBODY can fill their position better.

      Delete
    2. They were shooting too many Js and are non existent on D and rebounds. TR provides more balance. I suppose.

      Delete
  13. Whoa, first time I've ever got a Lin start time wrong. Thought the game was at 7

  14. Knicks are beating Jazz by 20 points now. Bad news for the Knicks, Stats is out for the remainder of the season to have knee surgery. Stats career is pretty much done.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Knicks is putting a beating to the Jazz even without Stats. Looks like Utah didn't come to play tonight, which is good for the Rockets.

      Delete
    2. The Jazz front office is crazy. They had FOUR great big men and not a single starting caliber guard. And yet they refused to trade any of their bigs in the past two seasons!

They could be elite...but now they're gonna lose Millsap and/or Jefferson for nothing. Not sure what the heck they are doing in Utah...

      Delete
  15. Lin with great defense on Dragic so far. Made Dragic shoot a missed shot which hit the back board and missed the rim. It's like the Twilight Zone to see both Morris playing tonight. Couldn't tell which is which except for the side burns.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Eyeball test shows Lin is more athletic than Dragic. Lin is containing Dragic easily and blowing past him on the offensive end.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Dragic has a bigger wingspan (easier to dunk or do fancy wrap-around passes). Lin is more athletic in every other way -- speed, strength, agility.

    3. His virus is everywhere...

      Delete
    4. Lin will shove that down those words to announcer by shutting Dragic tnite

    1. Surprised that CP is out so early.

      Delete
    2. Parsons sat down after the block from behind on Marcus Morris.

      Delete
    3. Yup saw that. McHell benched CP because CP blocked McHell's step son's layup.

  20. I wonder how it will affect Jeremy if he's playing with Scola still a Rocket...

    ReplyDelete
  21. Someone wake me up when Lin comes off the bench.

    ReplyDelete
  22. "Patrick Beverley all over the place!" with nothing to show.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hope Lin isn't playing down to his opponent tonight. He sometimes does that.

    2. Blame Lin! No energy from Lin (whos on the bench).

      Delete
    3. Set phaser to bev. We need more energy, scotty.

      Delete
  26. Lead was down to 3 points with Beverly and bench players out there for the 2nd quarter.

  27. Delfino stealing, clearing the boards, shooting 3s....

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. This could be his best game all season and Rox still lose.

      Delete
    2. Delfino just got lucky gambling. He's a terrible defender.

      Delete
  28. Houston team with Bev, Parsons, Delfino and T-Rob is sucking on defense. Let the Suns player do a back door pass and also getting out rebounded. McBail quickly calls a time out to get his bail out plan in action.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Beverly run offense looks like crappy D-League ball. So much for McHale's golden boy taking JLin's starting minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Lin back in. This is about when Lin turned it around in win against Dallas.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Game is getting exciting. Marshall is making the difference. Rox is frazzled.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Lin is being careless with the basketball. He is going to get yelled at by McBail during the 2nd time out.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Lin is careless but he's been on the bench for like 20 minutes (real time). Harden had a bad pass too. McHale's substitution patterns are shit.

      Delete
    2. And he should this time.

He's acting like he's afraid to shoot. Overpassing in traffic...haven't seen him play this dumb in a long, long time.

      Harden being equally thick-headed.

      Delete
  33. Jeremy OVERPASSING...come on.

Turnover-fest because he's not looking for his own shot.

    1. It pisses me off when Lin gets in the paint and doesn't just shoot it.

    2. Lin was careless last night too in the second half.

  34. Suns hustling and forcing turnovers - hurts my eyes...

    ReplyDelete
  35. Why is Jeremy Lin throwing the ball right into a crowd of Suns? He could go up for a layup anytime he wants....

    ReplyDelete
  36. Harden not getting his foul calls.

    ReplyDelete
  37. boy..... Lin and Harden trying to see who can turn the ball over the most by trying to make "cool" and quick passes. pay attention! they started out looking good.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Suns totally out hustling Rox.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Rox not even attempt offensive rebounds while Sun getting second chance points all night long.

  39. wow Rox's shooting just... sucks. I missed the GSW game yesterday. did they lose the "energy" yesterday's game?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes but it seems GSW lost energy about 10 mins before Rox did.

      Delete
  40. Everyone looks afraid to shoot tonight.

    Everyone is overpassing.

Fatigue, I guess? Parsons hero-ball is definitely not the answer.

LOL Asik. Another Lin assist blown. Only 5000 this season!

    ReplyDelete
  41. This is seriously the WORST I have seen of the Rockets this year. Nothing compares. This is just horrendous.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Rockets are probably the worst in back-to-back games. Their offense relies on too much running.

      Delete
  42. Rockets starters looking really tired, having trouble getting the ball up to the rim. Bench with more energy but all they do is jack up contested jumpers and one-on-one Iso plays.

Too much one man scoring, no passing.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Maybe they're disgusted with bench losing lead they got.

    1. Suns' bench players are killing the Rox.

    2. slowly but surely! doesnt look tired to me :)

      Delete
    3. LOL he will get his points.

      Delete
  45. Yes keep shooting Parsons! And, stop driving to the basket!

    ReplyDelete
  46. McBail fighting with the officials because Suns got an extra 3 points.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Lin going to lose playing time missing that 3.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Did Lin even drive once tonight? Maybe once... ?

      Delete
  48. with his shooting right now I expect McEnergy benching Jeremy most of 2nd half.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. They would stop putting him in the corner and let him be the point guard.

      Delete
    2. Hes been standing in the corner since the last time out. McHale not taking into account that Suns started their run with Beverly still in the game (-6).

      Delete
    3. Lin only took a 4 shots in the entire 1st half. Why did he launch that 3-pointer from so far behind the 3-point line?

      Delete
    4. Lin never played ON BALL all night.

      Delete
    5. ABC - exactly why McEnergy is likely to bench him 2nd half - he missed one damn 3-point shot.

      Delete
  49. Lin's shots are coming up short. Must be tired from last night. I'm surprised he took that last three -- he was way behind the line.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah, it looked like he was just trying to stay back as far as he could to create room for Harden. He probably wasn't expecting the ball to be swung his way, as they weren't passing him the ball anymore after the timeout.

      Delete
  50. Still time for Jeremy to turn on the jets.

No jumper today (tired legs). Just attack the rim, Jeremy. Even if you miss, you'll wear down the opposing defense.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Lin usually doesn't have a long range shot until AFTER he makes a few lay ups...

      Delete
  51. Why Lin took a 3 of 4 feet behind the arc? Bad decision

    ReplyDelete
  52. Harden is hogging possessions. I think he might be trying to make up for his less-than-average output last night by scoring a lot tonight. He's definitely a stat sheet watcher. Lin needs to do more of this. He won't get respect in this league with only 10 FGA a game; that will barely break double-digit points.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Come down guys,mjust 1st half. He'll come back strong 2nd half

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. True! The TOs and so occured within a time span of 2 minutes or so. He did just fine before he got benched. Suns started their run with Bev in the game (-6). JLin came back while Suns were hot. Still -> gets all the blame and is forced to play scarecrow in the corner again.

      Delete
  54. Crawford told McBail to calm the F down. Hahahahah.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Seriously though, Lin can get to the hole on any of these clowns, but he settling for jumpers? Mama please.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. CP should shoot first drive second. Lin should drive first shoot second. But, they are doing the opposite.

      Delete
  56. Lin is playing terrible. He needs to get his act together. And that's on him not on McHale. On another note, Rockets need to put this away in the third. They can't keep playing like this and expect a win.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. What act? JLin played fine (+6) until he was benched and Suns went on a run. He was put back into the game while Suns were hot. Bev went out with -6

      Delete
  57. crazy but all the suns backups played more minutes than their starters in the 1st half and suns are leading.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I'm sitting in the upper seats, 211 section.

The Rockets were KILLING the Suns early, but then Patrick Beverley came in and completely got greyhounded and lost. When Lin came back, the Suns were lethargic and had lost momentum.

James Harden and Chandler Parsons are getting anused defensively. They're TERRIBLE and UNWILLING.

Lin has completely shut down Goran Dragic, but it doesn't matter because Jared Dudley is destroying Harden and Parsons.

The Suns would be up 20 had they played Lin through the 1st quarter.

    ReplyDelete

    1. @KHuang!!!!!!! real jealous now...

      Delete
    2. Watching the game on tv, it looked to me that everyone, including Lin, was trying to make too many fancy passes to start game. Do you think that is a correct impression?

This seems like night, so far, where McHale would be correct to say just make the simple pass.

Move the ball, move your body, and make the simple pass.

Rockets still look they are much better team than Suns, so hopefully they still win comfortably if they go back to McHale's simple adage tonight (?)

      Delete
    3. Seats look pretty empty. Is turnout as poor as it looks?

      Delete
  59. Lin was so far behind the line. shoulda stepped in but it was a wide-open shot

    ReplyDelete
  60. Lin didn't even get back on defense after Harden turned it over for a 2 on 1 break. Just watched as Goran got the rebound and the putback.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Scola is just schooling DMo. Draws fouls at will.

    ReplyDelete
  62. These last few games, Lin is doing way too much jumping without knowing what he's doing. Why is he STILL doing this? He's been regressing in this aspect of his game; looks like last year's Lin.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Rockets not even rebounding the ball, gave up 5 offensive boards in one possession.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Lin with his 4th personal foul!! Why leave him in there McFail ???

  66. I've watched videos of Lin's shots in college and his shot when he was with the NY and it looks different from how he's shooting now. He's feet weren't as far apart and they seem to swing forward a bit. Now his feet are wider and very little forward swing. What ever he did in the off season to his shooting motion it's hurt it more than helped IMO. I think shooting is just natural and you shouldn't over analyze it. Everyone will have a natural motion a fits them.
