Lin got the rebound and football pass it to Harden for a layup, but Parson got the rebound and assist. Maybe I am confusing the two, but I am certain it was Lin that got the rebound and pass it to Harden.
Parson was credited with the rebound and assist, when it should have been Lin. Lin got screw by everybody from his coach, to his GM, to fans, refs, to scorekeeper.
LOL. Parsons went to the locker room and Bev hasn't done much tonight, so Lin should be in before the 6 min mark. If Parsons comes back from the locker room, then I agree with Kenoshi.
This game should be close at all. I'm actually getting worried about the Rockets. And how come McHale doesn't put Garcia in the game. He can defend and is a vet. He can't hurt us more than what we hurt ourselves already. Seriously... I don't understand. Rockets start off amazingly and then they vanish for the rest of the game. I prefer how it was before. Super slow start, and then we came back and actually won the games.
Hello, I have reading this blog for sometimes and enjoyed it very much. I do not understand Jeremy score. Fg=3/6,3 pt=2/2, FT=3/4. But he only has 11 pts. How does the calculation go? Will someone kindly explain?
Jeremy made 3 shots, 2 of which are 3 pointers, so two 3 pointers is 6 points, and he made one other shot that was a 2 pointer: 6+2=8 points. Then he made 3 out of 4 free throws, which are each 1 point. 8+3=11 points.
it doesn't make any fucking sense though. Lin's the better player, the fucking starter!!!!!!!!!!!! The starter's minutes shouldn't be dependent on how well or poorly his fucking back up plays.
Unless...they don't really view Lin as a legitimate starter.
Yeah, Jeremys been fighting obstacles his entire life and will continue to have to do so. The fans love him though and thats not something any player can have.
Haha McHale's logic = Let's keep the less effective players and those who play no D (cough Harden and Parsons) on the court all the time and let them play through the mistakes. But keep the more effective players (Lin) rest.
You got to be kidding me. I don't care what anyone says. Lin was playing really well. Great defense. And he is getting benched because of Beverly!!!!???
For some reason every (well almost) Rocket game feels like a nightmare... when LIN gets hot, McHale takes him out... then in for a bit... then out again... and the worst part is the heart-stopper 4th Q cause I don't know whether LIN would be played... at all!
He looks like he is demanding to dominate the ball and offense is getting sticky.
Lin's role right now is nothing more than dribbling up the court and passing to Harden, so at least for this game, I have no problem with him sitting rest of the game.
If Rockets lose, Harden was a big reason why (still hope they win, though)
I think Mchale is playing a dangerous game. If they lose, he will feel heat for not playing Lin.
I hope Lin one day actually learns to monopolize the ball to score and assist and make plays to establish himself as a hot commodity if the Rockets don't want him. Mchale nor anyone in the NBA culture respects team players, unless the selfless team player is head and shoulders above his peers, like Lebron.
I respect Lin and his game, but he is not on a team where anyone cares about his selflessness. I think he gets it but its not in his NBA to play selfishly. Sadly, these benchings will become permanent soon if he doesn't do something about it.
Of course Mchale is a calculating smart snake oil salesman. He is benching Lin against one of the worst teams in the league, knowing this cements his authority to bench Lin to win games and go with his style of play / Beverly.
I actually hope ORL wins because Mchale will take some heat for it.
Guys nothing has changed about McHale's attitude toward Lin. Lin will be treated like a scrub. Nothing will ever change that. Lin is going to regress on this team.
Smart play by Lin :)
ReplyDelete3 fts
Deletedamn - no shooting foul
DeleteNon shooting foul hahaha!
DeleteWill Lin score again tonight?
DeleteOK real FTs this time.
DeleteLOL Commentator: now mchale started arguing, he just realized it!
Deletehahaha...
DeleteAt least he argued instead of trying to save his mchcickens.
Delete8)
DeleteSmart play for Lin to get 3 FTs!
ReplyDeleteRefs read 'intent' booo!
DeleteNice hair, McHell!
ReplyDeleteYeah - he woke up in the morning - looked in the mirror and said "Yes - thats the look - Ill take it!"
DeleteLOL yah THAT'S the ticket.
DeleteJeremy is going to get benched soon
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete"1 TO 1 point, Jeremy we are trying to win!"
ReplyDeleteOne of these days players will go to McHale and say: "Coach - we are trying to win!"
DeleteLin to McHell: But your hair dye job is distracting me! You look like you're a 7ft Paul McCartney!
DeleteWould it be so difficult to have some faith in your investment and play him for extended minutes McHale?
ReplyDeleteLin getting inside. Now just needs to make those easy 5 footers.
ReplyDeleteLin almost got burned by Udrih's 3
ReplyDeleteHarden looks like he can jump but can't land without hurting.
ReplyDeleteAnd, Harden just got burned.
DeleteLin...you are horrid sometimes.
ReplyDeletefinally, needs to get warmer and warmer!
ReplyDeleteNice footwork by Lin for a 2.
ReplyDeleteLin -> Ballerina under the hoop :)
ReplyDeleteI got confused which is his pivot foot on that one...
DeleteNot quite as pretty as Asik :D
DeleteHe's just too fast for your eyes Etane :D
DeleteYou can't beat magic fingers.
DeleteHarden looking good.
ReplyDeleteLin is crafty around the rim with 360 layup!
ReplyDeleteThat reminded me of McHale back in the days.
DeleteKHuang your man Nicholson with 4 fouls playin' as you said.
ReplyDeleteOrdinarily I'd be rooting for Nicholson.
DeleteBut since this is a Jeremy Lin board, I say FOUL OUT THE ROOKIE.
Joeteam, I swear to you that Nicholson is not actually THIS good. He needs to be defended.
great footwork, was that because of the new shoes? :)
ReplyDeleteNah his new gf taught him how to dance, and it translated on court :)
Deletehahaha seems like you know a lot about his personal life, @Kenoshi. I missed the news that he's got a new gf :)
DeleteLOL!
Deleteyou just gave a minor heart attack to IsabeliJane, Kenoshi!
Delete@psalm - heart attack? I think he just did a bypass surgery without anesthesia on me!
DeleteLin looking for his own shot now!!
ReplyDeleteand McHale is rewarding him for it. weird.
DeleteOkay sit Lin for 2 minutes and bring him back to finish the 4th we win the gane
ReplyDeleteOh Solidz75, you know better than that.
DeleteSo, when is Lin going to come back in the 4th?
ReplyDeleteOmg Lin is still in still Lin!
ReplyDeleteCount me as surprised.
DeleteTRob is in...
ReplyDeletePoor guy.
DeleteWow.
ReplyDeleteThey just gave the assist to Parson instead of Lin when Harden made the layup
ReplyDeleteReally? Damn!
DeleteI am kind of desensitized to the score keepers stupidity.
DeleteI thought Parsons had the assist. Am I missing something?
DeleteLin got the rebound and football pass it to Harden for a layup, but Parson got the rebound and assist. Maybe I am confusing the two, but I am certain it was Lin that got the rebound and pass it to Harden.
DeleteParson was credited with the rebound and assist, when it should have been Lin. Lin got screw by everybody from his coach, to his GM, to fans, refs, to scorekeeper.
Delete"D'oh", Morey.
ReplyDeleteHaha looks like Sac pulled a fast one on us.
DeleteTRob has been horrible.
LMAO and TRob gets picked...
ReplyDeleteRobinson got worse butter fingers than Asik!
ReplyDeleteThere's a good chance HOU's going to lose this game.
ReplyDeleteI love how optimistic you are :)
DeleteAgree! If the next Q4 run after Lin gets back doesn't get us a spread. Crunch time problems, as we all know. Yikes!
DeleteHey willydilly ... hi 5.
DeleteThanks to McHale putting Robinson in when the game was so close.
DeleteUp 4 and now down 1.
*sigh*
Sorry willydilly. My hate for HOU fans has gotten the worst of me.
DeleteI just had a starwars flashback.
DeleteDelfino need to learn how to take a charge.
ReplyDeleteThe rockets will win this game if Lin comes back in beginning of 4th
ReplyDeleteLottery ... 9 or 6 mins when Lin returns?
Delete+1 for 6min
Delete6 min
DeleteI'd take 7
DeleteWith 6 min left in 5th my giess
DeleteLOL. Parsons went to the locker room and Bev hasn't done much tonight, so Lin should be in before the 6 min mark. If Parsons comes back from the locker room, then I agree with Kenoshi.
DeleteParsons back in the game, so Lin will be back at the 6 min mark.
DeleteTerrible 3Q
ReplyDeleteLooks bleak imo.
Wow we are making Magic look good, this is sad.
This gimmicky offense gives lower tier teams a chance to win. This is why it's so unpredictable. We need to have a more structured offense!
ReplyDeleteOffense or defense? I don't think our offense gives lower tier teams a chance to win. Our defense do.
DeleteThe ball's not moving, the players aren't moving. The Magic's been much more active than we have.
DeleteOffense too much to run back and forth. Chaos on offense leads to overall bad defense.
DeleteThis game should be close at all.
ReplyDeleteThey missed Morris' and PPat's 3PT threat but tried to replace it with TRob's offensive rebounding and DMo's 3s
Deletescared that this might be another loss :(
ReplyDeleteT Rob getting too much respect. Isn't Greg smith available?
ReplyDeleteLol, this game is going down the drain fast.
ReplyDeleteWow harden in ISo mode. Not good
ReplyDeleteDMo nice save.
ReplyDeleteHarden airball lol.
Rockets sign Aaron Brooks. I wonder who is going to the D-League tomorrow? And how that will affect Lin's minutes.
ReplyDeleteLIke I said, we'll be lucky if Lin cracks 30 minutes. bank on it.
DeleteAlright McHale let's get Lin in NOW..
ReplyDeleteWow how do you mess up that layup Delfino?
ReplyDelete4pts behind now.
Bravo Beverly!
ReplyDeleteFinally someone knows how to take a charge.
ReplyDeleteGame is over... well feels like it.
ReplyDeleteYeah that familiar 4q-slip-away-feeling
DeleteBig 3 from bev
ReplyDeleteShit Beverley hit a three ... Lin is not coming back for a while.
ReplyDeleteWow someone play some defense plz.
ReplyDeleteLin is not playing on the 4th
ReplyDeleteHello, I have reading this blog for sometimes and enjoyed it very much. I do not understand Jeremy score. Fg=3/6,3 pt=2/2, FT=3/4. But he only has 11 pts. How does the calculation go? Will someone kindly explain?
ReplyDelete2 threes, 1 two, 3 fts.
DeleteFG includes 3PT FG attempt.
DeleteSo 2x3PT + 1x2PT + 3FT = 6 + 2 + 3 = 11
Jeremy made 3 shots, 2 of which are 3 pointers, so two 3 pointers is 6 points, and he made one other shot that was a 2 pointer: 6+2=8 points. Then he made 3 out of 4 free throws, which are each 1 point. 8+3=11 points.
DeleteNice knock by bev for a steal.
ReplyDeletelet's go magic. Fire mcHale and his sidekick Sampson.
ReplyDeleteLin getting treated like the scrub McHale thinks he is..
ReplyDeleteof course, why would we expect anything different?!
DeleteEveryone is deferring to James this game.
DeleteLooks like he is demanding to dominate the ball today, and it is really hurting the Rockets tonight.
Hope the Rockets still win, but if they lose, I put this on on Harden.
Why did Beverly pad Parsons on the back of his head?
ReplyDeleteHes trying to create visual chemistry.
DeleteBeverely does try really hard and is a great teammate though.
So Stu, your thoughts on Lin tonight?
Delete"nice bieber do"
DeleteThey already hand-checked. You dont touch a guys head when you are the new guy. It should be the other way around.
Deleteat least they didn't pat the touche.
Delete@ k.smith - missed the entire first half. But, looks like Lin needs to play longer when he is hot (again McHales fault).
DeleteLin is a dynamic player. His resume when the ball in his hands speaks for itself.
3rd quarter he did ok, just missed some shots.
Looks like Lin will play the last 4 minutes and get the blame.
ReplyDeletewhy am i rooting for this team?? LOL to myself.
ReplyDeleteWell well to be fair bev is earning his minutes.. Jeremy needs to elevate his game
ReplyDeleteMchale's rockets game plan for the 4th qtr. Get Harden the ball so he can get his 26-30 its.
ReplyDeleteIs that Robinson a scrub? Can't even dribble the ball twice.
ReplyDeleteJeremy now knows how Lowry felt last year.
ReplyDeleteNice knock again by Bev, Harden couldn't run lol...Thank goodness it became shot clock violation.
ReplyDeleteBev is playing good, how much y'all wanna bet McHale going to overplay Bev?
you guys need to stop with the bev nut hugging. He's not doing anything Lin cant do.
DeleteNo the bottom line is bev is doing it Lin is not. If Rox win this game, there will be calls to start bev over Lin...
DeleteWho is Tobias Harris?
ReplyDeleteWhy is he at 20 points?
Who's covering him?
Well when u have the confidence if the coaches like bev does things flow much better.
ReplyDeleteI see the pattern here, Rockets are going to lose this game.
ReplyDeleteLol wow Magic looks like a top 10 team when they play Rockets.
ReplyDeleteSad.
Les must have loved Lin so much like his wine collection.
ReplyDeleteThe more rest Lin has on the bench, the better it tastes in many years.
Longevity, baby!
What? Bev got a screen!!
ReplyDeleteLin back in at 4min mark.
ReplyDeleteBev is killing it.
ReplyDeleteLet's go rockets. Keep chucking 3s.
ReplyDeleteBev knows that he will get more minutes if he plays well. Lin not so much...
ReplyDeleteit doesn't make any fucking sense though. Lin's the better player, the fucking starter!!!!!!!!!!!! The starter's minutes shouldn't be dependent on how well or poorly his fucking back up plays.
DeleteUnless...they don't really view Lin as a legitimate starter.
Lin will get less minutes if he scores over 20.
DeleteWho said 4min mark?!
ReplyDeleteHe might not even come back if Bev keeps killing it.
DeleteMe.
DeleteI'm lowering it to 0.
DeleteEven announcers are saying it.
Lin needs come in and be aggressive like Beverley.
ReplyDeleteI don't think he is coming back in.
Deletewhy Jeremy's mins is decreasing while Parson's increasing!
ReplyDeletedon't get it!
This is just embarrassing.... And we want to go to the playoffs playing like this?
ReplyDeleteI hate 3Ball only system.
ReplyDeleteWho last made 2PT jumper? PPat?
LOL
DeleteBeverly is playing good ,Lin might not come back in.
ReplyDeletetime to bench McHale and Sampson - forever
ReplyDeleteGAME OVER!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, no Lin.
ReplyDeleteWHY IS BEVERLY STILL IN THE GAME!!!!!!!????? ARE YOU KIDDING ME MCHALE!!!!!!!!!!!?
ReplyDeleteWith Aaron brook now, Jeremy's days on this team is numbered.
ReplyDeleteSadly I agree. Brooks will probably start a few games.
DeleteWow even Harden not getting calls.
ReplyDeletewas lin running pnr with asik?
ReplyDeletewhen Lin plays well, it always get sub out, but if Beverly/Douglas plays well, McHale leaves them in.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Jeremys been fighting obstacles his entire life and will continue to have to do so. The fans love him though and thats not something any player can have.
DeleteLin is already more popular than McHale ever was
Pretty sure Beverley will finish the game...he's hitting his shots.
ReplyDeleteBeverly on fire. Oh well. No Lin in the 4th. Lin always gets snubbed from 4th quarters on Fridays. Anyone notice this?
ReplyDeleteLin done to9
ReplyDeleteLin might come back in...you know, to relieve the starters and play scrub minutes.
ReplyDeleteLin's game has slowed ever since Mchale made that comment about Lin. Clearly shows that Mchale don't like Lin in his game plan.
ReplyDeleteHaha McHale's logic = Let's keep the less effective players and those who play no D (cough Harden and Parsons) on the court all the time and let them play through the mistakes. But keep the more effective players (Lin) rest.
ReplyDeleteLol.
Lin's confidence soaring.. This team doesn't deserve Jeremy at least not the way he is used. I'm sure les and McHale are regretting getting him.
ReplyDeleteYou got to be kidding me. I don't care what anyone says. Lin was playing really well. Great defense. And he is getting benched because of Beverly!!!!???
ReplyDeleteCause he committed a TO, I called it.
DeleteWow, seriously? Very frustrating to watch.
ReplyDeleteLord have mercy on our souls
ReplyDeleteFor some reason every (well almost) Rocket game feels like a nightmare... when LIN gets hot, McHale takes him out... then in for a bit... then out again... and the worst part is the heart-stopper 4th Q cause I don't know whether LIN would be played... at all!
ReplyDeleteThe way Beverly's playing, I can't blame Mchale for keeping him in for more of a stretch in *this* 4th quarter.
ReplyDeleteHe always starts the 4th though...so if he plays well, he stays. WTF are you talking about?
DeleteBut be fair about it. Even if Lin plays well, McHale will find away to sit him. There will be discussions about what Lin's worth is after this game.
DeleteJust what I said. Usually Lin gets back in during the 4th. He may not this quarter or it may happen very late. Calm down.
DeleteWhat about the way Lin played in the 1st qtr? That deserve to be subbed out? Mchale has done this in every game when Lin gets hot.
Deleteyour minutes shouldn't depend on how well or poorly your back up plays.
Deleteif you're a legit starter/piece of the team, you come back in regardless, especially when the game is close.
DeleteThe sad thing is HOU has Lin's bird rights. If he doesn't fit/improve, they can ship him to a shitty team like they did Ppat/Morris/TD.
ReplyDeleteParsons and Harden getting heavy minutes again. Mchale's pets.
ReplyDeletethey always get heavy minutes. they're the two core players on the team.
DeleteU guys don't think coach has nothing to do with Lin's play? They have pulverized Lin's confidence.
ReplyDeleteWe all know that. Nobody likes McHale here.
DeleteEveryone is deferring to Harden this whole game.
ReplyDeleteHe looks like he is demanding to dominate the ball and offense is getting sticky.
Lin's role right now is nothing more than dribbling up the court and passing to Harden, so at least for this game, I have no problem with him sitting rest of the game.
If Rockets lose, Harden was a big reason why (still hope they win, though)
McHale doesn't like Asian. That's all! I hope rockets lose this game.
ReplyDeleteBeverly playong really well. He is fearless and making big shots.
ReplyDeleteJeremy is not going to play the rest of the game n rox gonna lose
ReplyDeleteBev is playing all-around well so it's hard to sub him in.
ReplyDeleteI would sub Delfino for Lin. Small line-up.
Delfino is ineffective.
But a 3PT threat so *sigh* Lin can count his money on the bench.
DeleteThanks. I only started to watch basketball because of Jeremy
ReplyDeleteThe fridge has gotten colder since the hair dye job....
ReplyDeleteI think Mchale is playing a dangerous game. If they lose, he will feel heat for not playing Lin.
ReplyDeleteI hope Lin one day actually learns to monopolize the ball to score and assist and make plays to establish himself as a hot commodity if the Rockets don't want him.
Ok, not fun ... see y'all in post game. Scotty out!
ReplyDeleteIts over. Lin 0 minutes.
ReplyDeleteGuys nothing has changed about McHale's attitude toward Lin. Lin will be treated like a scrub. Nothing will ever change that. Lin is going to regress on this team.
ReplyDeleteLol Lin looks very left out there. Slumping his shoulders don't know what to do.
ReplyDeleteJeremy is not going to play the rest of the game n rox gonna lose
ReplyDelete
