    1. Remakes and copies are usually worse than the original. Have you seen "My sassy girl" - the remake?

      Delete
    2. nope. I rather not. -_- the trailer pissed me off.

      Delete
    3. Good decision. Its bad... really bad. Even the director admitted its bad :)

      Delete
    4. I think I won't watch the Hollywood version of Oldboy anymore..

      Delete
    5. Me neither. Ive seen 4 Holywood "remakes" of asian movies so far. All of them -> crappy!

    6. Ahhhaa...Isabeli!
      Hey, willy!:)

And Go Jeremy! Go Get it! People said they don't see the burning desire from you, that's not true right?

    7. yeah. I'm pumped up for Park Chan Woo's Stoker. yay!

    8. There's a remark for " my sassy girl" ? What's the title?

      Delete
    9. hi @lydia! I think it's still "My Sassy girl" in the Hollywood version.

I'm excited for Park Chan Woo's first English movie!

    13. Like I wrote... even the director said he didnt do a good job. Not worth watching. Nothing can beat the original. And yes - Im a dude and I liked the movie (the original) :)

      Delete
    14. @willy - I have a male colleague who admits he cried while watching My Sassy Girl and Windstruck :)

      Delete
    15. @ willy. I know why you like it! Haha!:)!
Many dudes like it too! That's why it becomes a phenomenon when it first came out!

      Delete
    16. @isbeli, lol. Seriously?!

Btw...we really off the topic talking about movies here on a basketball game thread. HAH.^^

      Delete
    17. LOL. I have to admit that K-movies are not just funny and smart but also very touching. You know what makes everybody cry? The japanese movie "Grave of the fireflies". If you dont cry watching it you are not human.

      Delete
    18. @Lydia - yeah. he's this kinda muscular guy and admitted he cried watching Korean romantic movies. Korean movies have great plot, only sometimes I wish they kinda deviate from the tragic love story that the girl (most of the time) has a life threatening disease :)

@willy - the Japanese movie that made me cry was Hachiko Monogatari. I'll look into your suggestion. the only Japanese movies I got are the anime ones - My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Pom Poko...

      Delete
    19. Ok. Willy, my last can't resist response on movies here(feel guilty and people might be mad at us talking unrelated topic here). I found myself recently got hit by Thailand movies. Several of them really good, maybe you can try watch some Thailand movies too!

      Delete
    20. @lydia - hahha JLin fan, sorry! this is an irresistible topic aside from Jeremy

      Delete
    21. @Isabeli:

"Grave of the fireflies" is an anime movie. They also made a live-movie version but the anime is much better.

      BTW:

Theres a Roger Ebert comment on "Grave of the fireflies" on youtube.

      Delete
    22. @Lydia:

THX. Ill stop taling about movies :)

      Delete
    23. @willy - I'll check that out. thanks! yay new anime movie!

      Delete
    24. Sorry guys - have to post one last time to warn all people about "grave of the fireflies" -> its extremely sad! If you have a little sister or a daughter you will hug her for hours after watching the movie.

      Delete
    25. Maybe I am in the minority here, but I didn't think "My Sassy Girl" was all that great. I didn't get all the hype.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Like the offensive intensity to start off the game. They need to keep it up in the second half. The Magic are still getting easy looks. Nicholson is doing well!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Knowing this team, not gonna happen. Orlando sucks though, so we should win even if the ball gets sticky.

  8. Lin looks really good, staying aggressive on both O and D!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Lin having a perfect game so far. Hope he keeps it up. Rockets need to win this one.

    4. Parsons not guarding Harkness for an easy 3.
McHale: "We're trying to win here, Parsons!"

McHale (Dr Evil) to Parson (mimi-me): That is okay, you still complete me. If something happens to you, I would know what to do.

  16. Take out your hot players and leave in your favorite pets Harden and Parsons. F*ck you Mchale. You suck.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hate this benching pattern by McHale. Why Lin gotta be the 1st to hit the bench when he's playing like MVP on both ends of the floor? This will disrupt his momentum and ruin his flow of the game. Happen every single freaking game. Arghhhhhh.....

  19. When someone is playing well, you have to let them ride them as long as you can. Part of good coaching is recognizing when someone is hot and riding them longer than usual. Mac, you don't have talent for coaching.

    ReplyDelete
  20. MCHAIL....WAT THE HAIL R U DOING!!! Lin is hot!

    ReplyDelete
  21. LOL ROX lose the lead with JLin on the bench. McFail won't learn - I hope the Magic make him pay. You know what they say about giving fools all the rope they want...

    ReplyDelete
  22. I dont get it??the fans here can easily predict what mchale woukd do if lin is scoring...does morey and les see this?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Parsons gonna make sure he maintains his 50% fg%. Can't get Clyde's comment out if my mind.

    ReplyDelete
  24. The Rockets second unit is a joke. I don't understand why you don't put Garcia in who is a veteran. Robinson and Greg Smith are completely lost. I don't blame Robinson cause he just hasn't have time with the team. But, Greg Smith has NO excuse. He is playing horrible.

    ReplyDelete
  25. yeah announcer got it right: Rockets second unit helped Magic's second unit get back in the game

    ReplyDelete
  26. Mac is too mechanical in his coaching; he just doesn't have the feel for the flow of the game. Right now, any team can beat Rockets.

    ReplyDelete
  27. If this team does not play defense , it's not gonna go anywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Will there be a day when we can watch JLin play without screaming and cussing at the coach like fools? Seriously, i'm still at work and i scream at the comp like a fool. My coworkers were looking at me like i am some crazy nutcase.

  29. Harden is struggling with his 3s, Beverley can't set up the offense.
Meanwhile, the D is still leaky.

McHale is scratching his head now. "Should I send Lin in sooner?"

    1. Usually, after Q1, even after Lin returns, he's not the primary ball handler.

      Delete
    2. let's hope Lin stays aggressive

      Delete
    3. I just hope he gets to play PG after he's back in the game instead of second fiddle to Harden/Bev.

  30. Second most important player on the team, Parsons back in.

    1. That's what happens when you have full confidence from your coach and youre given opportunities, time and time again to play through your mistakes...you tend to get better and more consistent as the season progresses.

    2. Etane
Lin was hot, not sure if he will still be when he gets back and no one knows when

      Delete
    3. Oh I was referring to Parson. But, if Lin gets to play PG after he's back he should be ok. Problem is, Lin only gets to play PG in Q1.

      Delete
  31. Beverly's only role is to give Lin a breather. Why is he paying so damn much?

    ReplyDelete
  32. We know what's gonna happen again when lin comes back from bench...i hate this coach and i hate to see this game further..Goodluck jeremy, idk how long you can stand your stupid coach

  34. How can Lin success in thid kind of offense when he is hot bench!!! When he no bench!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. 3 FGA and no FTs for Harden? Does he have a limp?

    ReplyDelete
  36. How long has Lin been sitting?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Wait until HOU acquires Aaron Brooks, Lins minutes will continue to decrease.

      Delete
    2. been out for 8:44. PB has more court time than JLin now. Lin came out after 8:34.

      Delete
    3. As to 6:09 timeout Lin have been sitting for 9:17 which is the same amount of Beverly's minutes.

      Delete
    4. Rikki,

Letting Beverley plays heavy minutes is designed by Morey. If he pans out, then Morey will convince Les to trade Lin. Beverley is set to make $780,800 next year. Les is set to make $5m, but $8.3m will hit the salary cap.

      Delete
    5. Coach Mcfail only wants his PG to be a 3-point shooter, I don't think he likes watching Lin run plays and set up teammates. Pulls him out for doing that.

      Delete
    6. Even though Beverley can't run an offense.

      Delete
  37. I hope Lin isn't cold after 9 MINUTES of rest

    1. I told him to use a stationary bike.

      Delete
    2. That's a very smart advice.i hope lin takes it seriously. I hope too he use it right in front of mchale.

      Delete
    3. I think he should bike around in Houston, like LeBron does in Miami

      Delete
    4. McHale is blind, dumb, and evil...wouldn't know what the purpose of the stationary bike is for.

      Delete
    5. McHale: Jeremy, why are you riding the stationery bike?

      Delete
  38. OF course that TO is Lin's fault.

    ReplyDelete
  41. he's finally in 3 minutes into second q, then he won't start third q, then will come in 6 or 7 minutes into fourth q.... yeah...

    ReplyDelete
  42. I like how DMo cuts to finish in case Asik misses.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Harden has the least points (4) among HOU starters in the 1st half.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. But of course he should close cause it makes sense esp when he isn't shooting well.

      Delete
    2. Harden will take over in the second half to pad his stats.

      Delete
    3. And Rox in the lead. Is Harden that crucial to Houston's success? Team play guys! No ISO plays like Harden chucked at the end of the 1st half.

      Delete
    4. If ORL stays hot with their 3PT shooting and HOU keeps the loose D, HOU can easily lose this game.

Harden struggles with his shooting, he should let Lin be the PG and he continues to cut to the basket to get fouls like he did.

But of course, this would break HOU multi-PG system so it won't happen, folks!

      Delete
  44. I just realized, Harden is a one dimensional player. Long steps, drive, get fouled.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Honestly, with mchale's substitution pattern which is more predictable than the sun shining tmrw, i'd rather read the posts here which by far is more interesting and entertaining.kudos to you guys!!i like it when we can still have fun despite feeling the frustration, although there will come a point that you wanna give up on this team, but definitely not on jeremy

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Could not have said it better! After 59 games, this coaching staff is still looking for some combination that does not exist. Clueless & in denial.

      Delete
    2. Some consistency with subs can be a good thing.

Far from wanting to give up on the team, I actually am getting more excited, seeing how the pieces are coming together (at least on the offensive end).

They finally seem comfortable with the offensive system and each other. They are cutting and setting picks well. They are moving the ball well. Asik has come a long way finishing around the rim. DMo has some nice post moves and range. They still rely too much on threes, but it does look to me they are generally taking relatively uncontested threes off the ball swing or kick out. Plus, they are again getting Asik and Dmo involved in the paint to mix it up a bit.

The defense is a work in progress, but the humming offense is enough for me to at least root for the team.

      Delete
  46. In other news, Carmelo shooting 3/10 Wizards ahead by 2. Wall is walking all over their paint.

  48. HORRIBLE defense by Rockets.

Orlando scores 94.0 points a game, 24th in the NBA.

The Magic have 61 points at halftime. If they continue that in the 2nd half, the Magic will score over 120 points!

If the Rockets could've defensively held the Magic to 50 points by halftime, the game would already be a rout!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yup this teams offense is atrocious. Playing against one of the crappiest team in the league. They are just trading baskets.

      Delete
    2. Rockets need to work on that defense, too many easy shots. This game should be like by 15 minimum right now.

      Delete
    3. I don't remember the last time the Rockets held an opponent under 100 points.

I can forgive bad offense from a minimum wage team, but bad defense is never excusable in the NBA no matter who takes the court.

Lin can't singlehandedly solve the Rockets' defensive problems, it seems.

      Delete
    4. I hope McHale goes berserk with the loose D during halftime.

ORL 3PT shooters had uncontested shots.

Looks like TRob had the worst D as expected.

      Delete
    5. I don't know if JLin is singlehandedly solving Rockets d problems, but he is doing a lot when he is on the floor. If JLin were on the court more, he would be coming down low to strip the ball from the Magic bigs so often the bigs would think twice before taking a dribble. However, better passing big men would swing it out to when they sense JLin coming. Ultimately, the Rockets either have to rotate well if they are going to use help defense as often as they do.

  50. Just started watching. Sounds like Lin went nuts in the first few minutes. Lin will be great somewhere. Hes very good here in Houston already but with the right coach its a more refined Linsanity #2 with multiple championships.

    ReplyDelete
  51. So far, Lin has played a very solid game with 8 points, 5 assists and some good defense.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Rockets were down when Lin went to the bench and Beverly and 2nd team came in. The lead got back with Lin, Asik, Harden, D-Mo and Parsons back on the floor.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Funny how Orlando announcers said Orlando and Lin's Rockets instead of Harden's name. I think the Orlando announcers are pro Lin.

    ReplyDelete
  54. T-Rob got beaten a couple of times on defense by Orlando shooters in the first half. He still seems lost, but doing much better than the first game.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. true and he got backed down by his man too easily for an easy score.
But he brought energy to crash the board on the offensive end so at least some promise.

  61. Houston's defense is terrible, can't win games playing lime that.

    ReplyDelete
  62. This Defense is just horrible. Lin kills himself defending. Harden lets Afflalo shoot like nothing. DMO, well I guess he learned from Harden. And I like D-Mo, but he needs to defend. I don't get it, you can be a horrible bball player and still be able to defend, it's the easiest thing to do.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Who's guarding Andrew Nicholson???

I was high on Nicholson in the pre game - like 8 points a game, 25 minutes a game high.

Why is this low pick rookie torching the Rockets like he's Dwight Howard???

    ReplyDelete
  64. Harden has been taking a back seat tonight and not scoring at his usual clip. I think he is still bothered by the sore ankles. I thought Lin should have taken the initiative to score when Harden is struggling, but I think McHale's thinks otherwise.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Harden probably shouldn't even be playing.

In that one game against GSW, Harden injured his knee or ankle pretty badly, yet he still played the whole game and actually made many shot attempts.

So, Harden must be hurting bad if he's not shooting much.

      Delete
    2. Well Harden at 25% is CLEARLY better than Lin.

      *sarcasm off*

McHale is just in outer space, I'd sub Bev for Harden as he's a liability right now. Can't shoot, can't d, can't penetrate.

      Delete
  65. DMo 3.

Lin hesitates to shoot and passes it back to Harden, Harden is like ok whatever and passes it across court to DMo.
