Westbrook blew by Lin and Lin caused a foul to send him to the line for an AND 1. McHale called a time out immediately. Most likely to sub Beverly in for Lin.
Rockets made TWO trades. -- Got rid of Marcus Morris for a 2nd round pick from the Suns. Weak trade, I think they could have gotten more.
-- Traded Tony Douglas, PPatterson, Aldrich for Thomas Robinson and a few other guys. Another so-so trade. Patterson has potential, and Robinson has been disappointing as a rookie so far.
I'm a huge Kansas fan and follower and I've seen Robinson play throughout his career at Kansas...I believe him playing with jlin will be a huge positive surprise...
I'm a huge Kansas fan and follower and I've seen Robinson play throughout his career at Kansas...I believe him playing with jlin will be a huge positive surprise...
just tuned in... 1. wow Toyota Center is kinda empty. try playing a regular season in my country and watch the seats filled. 2. the McDonalds uniforms are now home jerseys? 3. Go Jeremy!
Not really, some bench player...2nd pick or something, apparently Brooklyn wanted to get him as trading chip for Howard, other than that not much from the wise google.
Hahahah, Lin got his first technical arguing a call that the officials missed. The ball clearly hit the bottom of the rim and Beverly was fouled as well.
I didnt see the replay so I cant say anything about the call but I like JLins passion. A coach should show support for his team at all times - not just sit there and hold his head.
To be fair - McHale was on his feet arguing for his team THIS TIME. I liked that.
Jeremy looked shocked after getting the TF.you can tell he is not used to this call.im proud of him for speaking up.hope this is the start of him speaking up for himself first then teammates.in this side of the world, the one who speaks the loudest gets his voice heard, not necessarily that you are right..if you dont say anything, people assume that eveything is cool with you even if it isnt...get more TF's jlin...
Calvin Murphy said he is baffled by the trade. He said he doesn't understand why the Rockets are trading unilaterally and trading down. His speculation is that there must have been a disgruntle player on Houston. Unless Houston is clearing cap space to make a big trade.
Thomas Robinson was the fifth overall draft pick last year. He's only 21! Maybe the Rockets hope he will be the power forward they need to be that missing piece for a deep playoff run next year.
Got home in time for the game!! Let's s begin the countdown to playoffs...go Jeremy....let's get the first of 27 wins...
ReplyDeleteMcHell, please let Lin play 15 mins in the first half. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteOops I meant at least 15 mins.
Deleteyou wise had been fullfilled ;) he has almost 21mins now!
DeleteRockets are in their ketchup and mustard uniform tonight. No ppat, Morris, TD and Alridge in this game.
ReplyDeleteWhy is delfino starting?
DeleteFollow uo question... Where art though, rockets fans... Arena looks empty
DeletePPat traded.
DeletePpat is at the stadium but not suited up. Most likely a three way trade.
Deleteto where?
DeleteKings.
DeleteSo not only Morris but TD is gone too? And, Terrence Jones not that I know who he is.
ReplyDeleteTD gone.
Deletewhere did TD go?
DeleteKings
DeleteGoodbye, Patterson!
DeleteHarden gambled on the pick and Selfalosa blows by him for the easy layup.
ReplyDeleteLin with his first 2 points at the top of the key after dribbling around and seeing nobody to pass it to.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, Knicks are currently getting killed by Pacers. So far Harden has only scored from 3 point land. 3 for 3 for 9 points.
ReplyDeleteThe beard is on fire tonight!
ReplyDeleteHe is on sausages.
DeleteBad sausages.
DeleteWestbrook blew by Lin and Lin caused a foul to send him to the line for an AND 1. McHale called a time out immediately. Most likely to sub Beverly in for Lin.
ReplyDeleteJeremy shld be careful giving out fouls too early... Mchale will have reason to bench him
DeleteAfter the time out, Harden was pushing the ball up court and not Lin. Lin made a three pointer off of Harden drive and feed.
DeleteWooo Lin still on the floor. I thought you were right though.
DeleteDamn my feed is like 1 min behind. Lagging.
Deletehttp://www.csnhouston.com/basketball-houston-rockets/talk/report-rockets-make-trades-get-robinson
ReplyDeleteHow's Robinson?
Rockets made TWO trades.
ReplyDelete-- Got rid of Marcus Morris for a 2nd round pick from the Suns. Weak trade, I think they could have gotten more.
-- Traded Tony Douglas, PPatterson, Aldrich for Thomas Robinson and a few other guys. Another so-so trade. Patterson has potential, and Robinson has been disappointing as a rookie so far.
wow Marcus will be reunited with his twin, Markieff...
DeleteI'm a huge Kansas fan and follower and I've seen Robinson play throughout his career at Kansas...I believe him playing with jlin will be a huge positive surprise...
DeleteI'm a huge Kansas fan and follower and I've seen Robinson play throughout his career at Kansas...I believe him playing with jlin will be a huge positive surprise...
DeleteDurant down.
ReplyDeleteMan down, hands down?!
DeleteFast break and Parsons feed Lin and he got fouled but no call. They called the foul on the defender on Parsons when he got the offensive rebound.
ReplyDeleteWhat else is new? He also got a "missed FGA" on a last-second pass to Parsons.
DeleteNo player gets screwed by refs and scorers more often than Jeremy.
just tuned in...
ReplyDelete1. wow Toyota Center is kinda empty. try playing a regular season in my country and watch the seats filled.
2. the McDonalds uniforms are now home jerseys?
3. Go Jeremy!
And they send Beverley to guard WB after he blows past Lin...
ReplyDeleteAsik was late on the weak side help and caused the foul on Westbrook. McHale has enough and subbed in Bev. Didn't work because he drew another foul.
DeleteHarden wants his revenge.
ReplyDeleteLin is back in...Wow?
ReplyDeletewow x2
DeleteI know... What gives? 2 min left in 1Q
Delete3 guard lineup goin' small...interesting
ReplyDeleteperhaps they want to double Westbrook with Lin and Bev
DeleteLin is back in with Harden, Beverly, Parsons and Greg Smith.
ReplyDeleteLin can't buy an assist.
ReplyDeleteNice and 1 lin :)
ReplyDeleteNBA refs...my god. So corrupt and Stern won't ever do a thing.
ReplyDeleteFINALLY Jeremy gets call...only because he got SMACKED in the HEAD.
Ugh is that clyde saying Lin was slow in ASG?
ReplyDeleteSigh.
He said Lin was playing it too cool and being a gracious host.
DeleteGreg Smith set a great pick for Lin who got the AND 1 using his left.
ReplyDeleteWOW Lin and Smith!
ReplyDeleteLove that Greg Smith! CATCH and FINISH, SON.
ReplyDeletePatrick Patterson, Toney Douglas and Cole Aldrich traded to Sacramento for Thomas Robinson. Hmmm...
ReplyDeleteRobinson has athleticism and can rebound. Much needed on this Rockets team even if they lose Pat's jumpshooting skills.
DeleteLin -> Smith -> BANG!!!
ReplyDeleteHEre we go ...... Lin to Smith!!!!
ReplyDeleteFinally an assist!
ReplyDeleteBull fighter defense Ole hahaha.
ReplyDeleteHahahah, Harden got fouled by Westbrook. Ref wasn't going to call it and then they saw it was Harden and not Lin and blew the whistle.
ReplyDeleteThe game plan is to stop Westbrook penetration with double-triple team. I worked twice so far resulting in TOs
ReplyDeleteLin should have at least 5 assists by now....
ReplyDeleteAnyone ever heard of Thomas Robinson?
ReplyDeleteNot really, some bench player...2nd pick or something, apparently Brooklyn wanted to get him as trading chip for Howard, other than that not much from the wise google.
DeleteFrancisco Garcia is coming along with another player.
DeleteThat's the guy that Lin dunked on.
DeleteNo idea who he is.
DeleteHm, 2012 5th pick.
Thomas robinson? I heard abt him about 5 mins ago...JK
DeleteAnother player, Tyler Honeycutt
Deleteyes. He will dunk a Lin alley oop soon.
DeleteSo far so good by the end of 1Q with 36-29 lead. 8-13 3PT looks really good.
ReplyDeleteDurant got hurt so they just need to force Westbrook to shoot his way out of the game.
D-Mo in the game with Lin, Beverly and Greg Smith.
ReplyDeleteLin -> Dmo -> win :)
ReplyDeleteLin to Dmo!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHe's got a great little spin-hook.
DeleteBad thing is Rocket is foul happy now :/
ReplyDeleteGiving up lots of freebie points.
Dmo and Smith on the court at the same time. Looks good so far.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I'm sad to see Toney Douglas go, but he's rehabilitated his image in Houston and he should take Jimmer's spot at backup PG.
ReplyDeleteAnd more PT for Jeremy! Les and Morey giving McHale no choice but to play him more. I hope...
:)
DeleteUgh 3s aren't falling now. Bad sign.
ReplyDeleteMy feed is terrible, it's like showing for 2 seconds, hanging for 5 seconds, and so on.
ReplyDeleteI guess it's better to read you guys' comments, instead of watching with my LP.
Use Internet Explorer. I got same problems with Chrome or Safari.
DeleteThanks, let me try.
DeleteI'm having issues too. So many people watching...not enough feeds (there's usually like 6-8 different feeds to spread it out).
DeleteTyler Honeycut, 2nd round pick, Garcia and Robinson to Houston.
ReplyDeleteDmo and Lin has the same haircut. Auditioning for the boy band?
ReplyDeleteDont say that, you'll make parsons envious...he might go for the same do
DeleteLin is actually playing some significant minutes tonight. I think McHale is forced to play Lin by Morey's trade.
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteHow will McHell mix Lin and Harden's minutes for the rest of the game? Harden's minutes is surprisingly low so far.
ReplyDeleteAsik is a non-factor so far. Good to see him get aggressive!
ReplyDeleteLin helped Ibaka up. Recruiting!
ReplyDeleteDMO needed to dunk that. Way too much over dribbling.
ReplyDeleteYup he doesn't have catch and dunk mentality.
DeleteHe needs more PT...First game with any significant time and he plays OKC lol :D
DeletePerhaps. So far he seems like a finesse big man like Divac but without the behind the back passes.
DeleteDamn, Lin with a great pass to D-Mo and he was caught by surprised and didn't know what to do with it. He bricked it on the side of the board.
ReplyDeleteLin's stat continues to suffer cuz of his teammates.
DeleteWestbrook backed in and Lin fouled him when he was driving towards the basket.
ReplyDeleteGame tied...
ReplyDeleteMost entertaining.
DeleteLin -> ASIK -> BANG!
ReplyDeleteWow Ibaka...
ReplyDeleteHow was that a carry?
ReplyDeleteLOL commentator said McHell stood up and applauded the call?
DeleteMcHale said now you should call it on the other end as well because Westbrook did the same thing.
DeleteThat's what the commentator said not McHell.
DeleteDamn black Ref called a carry on Lin. Asik with a nice move around Ibaka for the lay in. Lin picked up a charge on Durant.
ReplyDeleteAnother BS foul on Jeremy. My God.
ReplyDeleteEffing refs...then Westbrook carries right after...no call.
Lin great d as always.
ReplyDeleteSee Lin, throw the ball above his knees, this time above his head, and Asik will catch it :D
ReplyDeleteAsik doesn't seem to bend his knees.
DeleteDamnit I'm gonna miss Dougie
ReplyDeleteJeremy being a factor in offense, defense and assist..he is having a very good game so far...
ReplyDeleteLes Alexander is at the game. McHale must be on his best behavior tonight.
ReplyDeleteIf Les is there he should stick his foot out when the ref runs by :)
DeleteLol game gettin' sloppy.
ReplyDeleteAnd Harden is PG.
DeleteNot surprising.
DeleteLin is definitely shackled on playing hard DEFENSE by the refs. Westbrook keep getting superstar calls
ReplyDeleteToo much defensive fouls, dammit get it RIGHT REFS!
ReplyDeleteLin needs a rest. Mchale is either benching him after five minutes or not benching him at all...the guys is dead on his feet!
ReplyDeleteKnicks are getting blown out by 30 points so far.
ReplyDeleteLin leads both teams in minutes... wow.
ReplyDeleteWay to manage player minutes.
DeleteMchale got a directive from Rockets FO....hopefully it lasts...
DeleteIn games against the top 5-8 teams, Lin needs to play around 40 minutes or more. We figured that out long ago but seems Mchale only got the memo today
At the rate it is going, jeremy might play 40+ mins tonight, as long as he stays from foul trouble.
ReplyDeleteAfter 7 consecutive missed three attempts, Lin finally hits one to cut the run by OKC.
ReplyDeleteand lin ends the trey drought
ReplyDeleteI'm only catching the game on ESPN play by play but why do we shoot so many 3's, especially when we're not making them?
ReplyDeletebecause Les is watching and Morey wants to prove something.
DeleteIt's really just Delfino bricking it. Everyone one else are hitting the 3s.
DeleteParsons was bricking it too.
DeleteI'm so sick of NBA officiating. It's vomit inducing. MLB, NHL, NFL...they all do pretty great.
ReplyDeleteBut NBA refs are mostly criminals with whistles. They know what the BETTING LINES are and shape it to suit their needs (or the needs of the league).
Lin got a tech :/
ReplyDeleteLOL blind refs.
DeleteGood T on Lin on the bench! :D
ReplyDeleteThat's what a good leader does!
True words.
DeleteI wonder what McHale thinks of that...
Delete"If he even gets a technical on the bench we might as well let him play"
LOL
DeleteHahahah, Lin got his first technical arguing a call that the officials missed. The ball clearly hit the bottom of the rim and Beverly was fouled as well.
ReplyDeleteThats just a taste of future-coach-Lin :)
DeleteTrue! The refs were clearly blind at that time.
DeleteI didnt see the replay so I cant say anything about the call but I like JLins passion. A coach should show support for his team at all times - not just sit there and hold his head.
DeleteTo be fair - McHale was on his feet arguing for his team THIS TIME. I liked that.
To be fair - McHale only did that because it wasn't Lin...And he didn't want to be showed up by Lin supporting his team.
DeleteHahahahaha yeah I know I have no basis for this argument, just wanna rant against McHale.
LOL, Jeremy gets his first TECHNICAL.
ReplyDeleteHehehe...standing up for Beverly. And he's RIGHT of course.
That should be a flagrant!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteGood catch. Lin teaching McHell how to back up your players from the bench.
DeleteSry - it was meant as reply to John Ly above. But yeah - thats how you should act as coach. I believe JLin will be a great coach one day.
DeleteNo prob at all!
DeleteJlin can turn scrubs into all stars on the court. He can do it as a coach too.
Lmao Harden!!!
ReplyDeleteoh well... I wish NBA allows trading of COACHES
ReplyDeletelol
DeleteI thought ehe same thing.
DeleteJeremy looked shocked after getting the TF.you can tell he is not used to this call.im proud of him for speaking up.hope this is the start of him speaking up for himself first then teammates.in this side of the world, the one who speaks the loudest gets his voice heard, not necessarily that you are right..if you dont say anything, people assume that eveything is cool with you even if it isnt...get more TF's jlin...
ReplyDeleteYes, proud of him. That shot DID touch the rim.
DeleteDid he really step on the court?
DeleteVia
DeleteNot sure of that. The replay looked like it only touched the net.maybe im wrong, my screen is too small..lol
It did just nudge the rim.
Deleteyup, he got too enthused and stepped one foot on the court.
DeleteThose ref's eyes are sharp where it doesn't count!
DeleteEtane
DeleteThat part was clear, he was inside the court.
Calvin Murphy said he is baffled by the trade. He said he doesn't understand why the Rockets are trading unilaterally and trading down. His speculation is that there must have been a disgruntle player on Houston. Unless Houston is clearing cap space to make a big trade.
ReplyDeleteNo idea as well. Its not like they cleared a ton of cap space with 2pat/morris/aldritch/td and picking up Robinson and other scrubs.
DeleteThe players who were traded away were shooting too many Js.
DeleteLol :D
DeleteTD is the only proven player they gave up.
DeletePatterson and Morris are too soft and can't rebound a lick.
Robinson can at least rebound. 17% rebounding pct. compared to 10% for P-Pat.
Thomas Robinson was the fifth overall draft pick last year. He's only 21! Maybe the Rockets hope he will be the power forward they need to be that missing piece for a deep playoff run next year.
ReplyDeleteNow they make one of JL's 3s a 2pt-er.
ReplyDeleteBut of course, they're sure as hell not going to correct the phantom "block" by Thabeet or the idiot incorrect Beverly call that led to Jeremy's tech.
F**king corrupt refs...NBA is the worst. Even college ball is a lot more fair.
if Jeremy helps one more opponent up, I am going to BARF.
ReplyDeleteno biggie there. He's softening Ibaka so he won't give hard foul to Lin.
DeletePat Riley would of benched Lin for a few games for doing that.
DeleteJust looking at the box score, there's not much production outside of Lin and Harden. Bench is non-existent.
ReplyDeleteThomas Robinson was highly rated coming out for the draft last year. He was projected as a possible top 3 pick but dropped down to 5.
ReplyDelete2nd half new thread, maybe?
ReplyDeleteAre u suggesting or begging?
DeleteGUYS, NEW THREAD
