Rockets are looking faster than the Bucks tonight. He scored on a nice floater and then draw the foul after out running his man and receiving a pass from Harden.
Lin with 4 points, 2 steals and 3 assists so far. Rockets are looking like the Harlem Globe Trotters out there against the Bucks. D-Mo with guard like passing skills feeding Asik.
Parsons with another turnover and him and Harden was terrible getting back on defense and let the defender get an easy layup. Harden was upset with Parsons and McFail called a time out. Probably to blame it on Lin and sit Lin at the 2 minute mark.
Harden got called on a foul on Monta with 1 second left. Replay shows that Harden didn't even touch him. Official with a phantom foul call. I wonder if McHale will be upset at Harden for committing that phantom foul with 1 second left.
McHale (and Morey for that matter) has a special attach to Parsons for some unknown reasons. He's the only rookie under McHale who played right away and was never sent down to D League. Players selected ahead of him in the draft didn't get the same treatment.
He got smacked in the mouth -- fair amount of blood, might as well sit for the final 90s.
No foul of course, but to be fair, Jeremy shouldn't have taken that particular shot. He won't get the same calls that others get (like Ellis just did).
Houston is letting Bucks hang around. This should have been an easy game for them with the way they came out in the 1st quarter, but then their defense and TOs let the Bucks back into the game.
you might have miss the best the Rockets have looked in the whole season. If they can play those 8 minutes consistently then I don't think any team would want to face them.
Maybe it's cuz PPat and MM is gone. Passer either looks for a pick or passes but doesn't move after passing. Thee's no dynamics to the plays at all. Very simple. Almost pick up like.
Hmm, interesting point about the effect of not having Morris and Patterson anymore.
I think what we'll see going on is that Beverly is going to be more exposed, because he's got to do more running of the offense when he's in, especially with TRob, not just do his hustle thing.
If McHale has any clue, he'd realize that in a game like this with a new starting rotation and a revamped second unit with new players, the everyone is a point guard offense only promotes confusion and chaos.
Make one guy (Lin) the primary ballhandler and have the offense run through just him.
Here is Bill Worrell comment about Lin, "I think Lin is quicker than what his opponents give him credit for and that is why he gets alot of steals." No duh Einstein!
Let's win this one!! and the rest 22 games of course! :P

ReplyDeleteD-Mo is in the starting line up. Hopefully he can convert some of Lin's assists.
ReplyDeleteThe main thing is he needs to play smart and not pick up silly fouls to stay on the court.
DeleteD-Mo was able to grab a tip pass from Lin and with a nice dish to Asik for the easy bucket.
DeleteI see the Bucks are trying to double Lin and Harden right away, but the PnR by D-Mo got Harden free to pass to Parsons for the 3 pointer.
ReplyDeleteLin with a nice over the top pass to Parsons and he didn't dunk it but resort to a layup and got blocked.
ReplyDeleteD-Mo for 3 Mo as it came out the mouth of Bill Worrell.
ReplyDeleteDMo can shoot 3???
ReplyDeleteYeah, he can. Remember the record setting 3's against the GSW? He was shooting 3's.
DeleteYeah you are right. Thnks for reminding me.poor memory of mine
DeleteRockets are looking faster than the Bucks tonight. He scored on a nice floater and then draw the foul after out running his man and receiving a pass from Harden.
ReplyDeleteHar_en FINALLY through an outlet to Lin. First one I've seen.
ReplyDelete*threw
DeleteThey trying to rub off D-Mo's blood from Asik's jersey. D-Mo got cut on the wrist.
ReplyDeleteWow wow wow..Lin with an anticipated steal and a behind the pass to Parsons for an easy assist and score.
ReplyDeleteHe just committed his first TO with a no look pass that got intercepted. Oh well, take the good with the bad and there you have it, the facts of life.
DeleteWhy do they have to clean up the stain? Dont they have a spare jersey available?just asking, not expecting anyone to give an answer
ReplyDeleteDang! Steal TO
ReplyDeleteLin with 4 points, 2 steals and 3 assists so far. Rockets are looking like the Harlem Globe Trotters out there against the Bucks. D-Mo with guard like passing skills feeding Asik.
ReplyDeleteAMAZING! All you have to say. That's all it is. Just AMAZING! Oh this is so much fun!
ReplyDeleteWow. Great start. DMo rocks. Lin lighting it up
ReplyDeleteFirst T-Rob sighting of the night. He like Ilyasova shoot over him for his first look.
ReplyDeleteI meant he let Ilyasova shoot over him.
Delete"This looks fun!" Clyde to jp2123
ReplyDeletelol
DeleteLin is still in at the 4 minute mark. T-Rob able to draw his first foul against Ilyasova. Going to the line. Missed his first FT.
ReplyDeleteAsik wearing knee warmers?
ReplyDeleteGlad to see GS in the game. His knee must be OK.
T-Rob looked nervous at the FT line, but made for it with his first assist to Greg Smith.
ReplyDeleteBig man to big man assist!
DeleteLin with an assist to T-Rob running the floor as a trailer.
ReplyDeleteClyde: You see his (TR) head looking down at the rim?
DeleteAbove the rim!
Parsons with another turnover and him and Harden was terrible getting back on defense and let the defender get an easy layup. Harden was upset with Parsons and McFail called a time out. Probably to blame it on Lin and sit Lin at the 2 minute mark.
ReplyDeleteYup, Beverly is in for Lin after the time out.
DeleteThis is fun. Most exciting offensive team in NBA now by a lot of media people.
ReplyDeleteOnly two 3s but a bunch of points in the paint? Is that right? I just started watching.
ReplyDeleteTeam's composition seems different.
Yeah, one by Parsons and one by D-Mo.
DeleteRobinson looks short. Appears 6'5 to me though he's 6'10
ReplyDeleteWho thinks it's double double for Lin tonight?
ReplyDeleteLin sits and Bucks are only down by 4 points. Make it 2 points.
ReplyDeleteDid GS just bring the ball up?
DeleteWas he the one who committed the TO?
DeleteIt looked like it.
DeleteNope, it was Harden. He has 2 TOs.
DeleteAn you're right.
DeleteHarden got called on a foul on Monta with 1 second left. Replay shows that Harden didn't even touch him. Official with a phantom foul call. I wonder if McHale will be upset at Harden for committing that phantom foul with 1 second left.
ReplyDeleteLin 4pts, 4 assists, 10 mins. Double-Double your fun ...
ReplyDeleteHe's on pace. But, Q1 usually is his most productive Q.
DeleteClassic McHale
ReplyDeleteLin is probably being selfish and padding his stats and thus get the bench at the 2 minute mark. Or he just needs rest.
DeleteRight on 25 min pace, so all Lin has to do is play 30 and we start the D-D run.
ReplyDeleteWhat advs do you have on the top of your banner? I have single Asian ladies LOL. Too dangerous to click :-)
ReplyDeleteI do too cuz Google knows I love Asian women.
DeleteWhew, I thought they had me nailed for a sec there :-)
DeleteThis is the problem with the Rockets. They can destroy you offensively easily, but just as easy let you back in the game. Still quite fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteWow, D-Mo with a spin move and off the back board for the score. The big man got handles and skills.
ReplyDeleteParsons iceskating too fast on the open court ...
ReplyDeleteDoes Lin look good!? I'm only catching this online, on ESPN play by play.
ReplyDeleteLOL GS no box out. Tried to pass the ball out before the play even ended.
ReplyDelete2nd Quarter started with D-Mo, Greg Smith, Beverly, Delfino and Parsons. McHale is going with an all PG line up to start the 2nd quarter.
ReplyDeleteD-Mo is active tonight. He is like everywhere on the court. I think he is bringing it for McHale opting to start him over Delfino.
ReplyDeleteIs he more Divac or Novitzky?
DeleteI would say more Divac than Novitzky.
DeleteI think so too. But that last FG did give me flashes of Dirk.
DeleteLin looked good, k.smith. He's out now for a few more mins. V nice backward pass to T-Rob.
ReplyDeleteNot surprised that the lead was gone when McHale took out the only 2 players on the whole roster who played D (Asik and Lin).
ReplyDeleteDelfino trying to do iceskating jump move ... aye yi yi!
ReplyDeleteIt bugs me when parsons is on the floor without Lin or Harden. That should be Lin.
ReplyDeleteMcHale is going with his all PGs package!
DeleteThat's for the benefit of Morey's lineup analysis
DeleteYah he thinks he's got prerogative to play PG.
DeleteMcHale (and Morey for that matter) has a special attach to Parsons for some unknown reasons. He's the only rookie under McHale who played right away and was never sent down to D League. Players selected ahead of him in the draft didn't get the same treatment.
DeleteHe leads the team in minutes.
DeleteMorey's pumping up his FGs per dollar stat?
Commercial break ... now my banner ad is all Single Russian ladies ... I'm going to have to add Adblock :-)
ReplyDelete"Honest, honey, I'm just blogging about JLin ..."
And in the mean while just took a lightly glimpse on the single ladies...no worry honey...
DeleteJust started watching. So how did Lin play so far?
ReplyDeleteHow come the 17pt lead disappeared?
D-Mo has 7 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. He's doing it all tonight.
ReplyDelete2 O. rebounds. That's something Asik is bad at.. well he rarely even attempts.
DeleteI hope lin doesnt sit too long that he will forget how to make a shot
ReplyDeleteHarden and Lin are in with 6:35 minutes left in the 2nd quarter.
ReplyDeleteLinstant impact with a beautiful layup!
DeleteLike clockwork. FU Mchale. Is Parsons, the chosen one, aka white Lebron still playing?
Deletedon't sweat it, k.smith :)
DeleteMorey just wants his data on how well Parsons play PG.
And right away, Lin scores with a layup on the left side after probing the defense.
ReplyDeleteDo you guys see read and react or motion defense being utilized?
ReplyDeleteThe passer isn't cutting after making a pass, so it doesn't look like read and react to me.
DeleteOh man, the Beard is down! NOT GOOD!
ReplyDeleteMan down, beard down!
DeleteHarden is down. According to the announcers he got bumped on the knee.
ReplyDeleteWe need Beard. He is a friend of Lin and they are starting to play well together
DeleteHe looks okay. Up and walking to the bench.
DeleteI agree Stu. I actually feel more salty towards Parsons.
DeleteTRob subbed in for DMo. Lin/TRob connection soon?
ReplyDeleteLin looking great. Liking this team. Btw, Dmo easily knocks down 3s in practice. Probably at 75% clip at least
ReplyDeleteThe composition looks good on offense. No evidence that Trob can play D yet tho.
DeleteYou guys see the NBATickets.com commercial? I can't understand a word Rubio is saying.
ReplyDeleteThe good thing is D mo can shoot 3 and rebonds
ReplyDeleteESPN play by play parsons bad pass, Sanders steal...
ReplyDeleteAsik's hands are like buttah.
ReplyDeleteFinally, take that famewhore out of the game.
ReplyDeleteTRob sat down with 3 fouls in 8 min.
ReplyDeleteIt takes some time to make adjustment to his new team. He will get better. Right now, he made some good plays, but also alot of bad plays.
DeleteDMo +21
ReplyDeleteI like the last play. Lin passed and Harden made his 3PT.
ReplyDeleteThat's the way it should be!
The plays and picks look rather... ordinary....
DeleteIt was very simple indeed
DeleteI guess Bucks defense are focusing on the paint. Both Lin and Harden was wide open.
DeleteLin with 6 points and 5 assists now.
ReplyDeleteHe had 4 pts and 4 assts at end of Q1.
DeleteThe trend doesn't look good.
I hate wesbrook,he is so cocky and ugly.
ReplyDeleteLin moves so quick that my video gets pixelated whenever he drives to the rim.
ReplyDeleteHarden came over and said to Lin, Yo Lin, how come you're always the bleeder? You got to lead with your beard and not your head.
ReplyDeleteHe looked like vampire haha.
DeleteWTF just happened? Why did Lin come out? Sorry can't see game.
ReplyDeleteHe got hit on a drive. That's all I can tell you. My video got pixelated when Lin took off.
DeleteHe got vampire lips.
DeleteHe got smacked in the mouth -- fair amount of blood, might as well sit for the final 90s.
DeleteNo foul of course, but to be fair, Jeremy shouldn't have taken that particular shot. He won't get the same calls that others get (like Ellis just did).
He looks perfectly fine now, though.
DeleteEllis is a scrub though, why is he getting calls? W/E.
Deletewow Ellis getting every call and doesn't deserve it
ReplyDeleteHouston is letting Bucks hang around. This should have been an easy game for them with the way they came out in the 1st quarter, but then their defense and TOs let the Bucks back into the game.
ReplyDeleteHouston's paint points started with a bang. But, Buck's defense adjusted. And, Houston FG% been diving ever since.
DeleteParsons ballhandling is atrocious and a big factor.
DeleteHe keeps making the wrong decisions over and over again. Even when he makes the correct pass, he takes too long to make it.
For instance, D-Mo was wide-open for a 3 in rhythm, Parsons instead drove to the bucket...then kicked out...D-Mo catches it surprised then bricks it.
The title McFridge isn't just for show
DeleteLin got hit in the mouth and gets an early benching for the 2nd half. I can live with that. He's +5 for this game so far.
ReplyDeleteSampson talking about Ilyyesova and how Houston is letting him shoot too much.
ReplyDeleteThe first 8 minutes were great. Now I just hope we win this one. We can't lose. We just can't..
ReplyDeleteI started watching after the first 8 minutes. It doesn't look like anyone is trying very hard except Dmo.
Deleteyou might have miss the best the Rockets have looked in the whole season. If they can play those 8 minutes consistently then I don't think any team would want to face them.
DeleteBut actually it was more like the first 6.
DeleteBetter than in the OKC game? hehehe.
DeleteIf Lin can mimic what he did in the 1st half with the 2nd half then he will have a double double with 12 points, 10 assists and 4 steals.
ReplyDeleteIf he mimics what he did in Q2 (2pts 1asst) in Q3 and Q4, he won't.
DeleteLin looked like he got in a fight!
ReplyDeleteI don't like the offensive flow by Houston.
ReplyDeleteNo easy points from Harden/Lin penetration.
How come Delfino only shot 1 3PT attempt?
And only 3-8 3PT as a team? Perhaps the coaches don't want them to shoot 49 treys attempt?
I don't see any of the plays that we've been reading up about during the last few days.
Deletelol Etane. WTF are they doing then?
DeleteI guess DMo and TRob don't know how to set the screens in those plays yet?
DeleteGranted, the CF thread said some of the plays are not executed against some defense but I'm thinking more about simplifying plays for the new players.
Maybe it's cuz PPat and MM is gone. Passer either looks for a pick or passes but doesn't move after passing. Thee's no dynamics to the plays at all. Very simple. Almost pick up like.
DeleteHmm, interesting point about the effect of not having Morris and Patterson anymore.
DeleteI think what we'll see going on is that Beverly is going to be more exposed, because he's got to do more running of the offense when he's in, especially with TRob, not just do his hustle thing.
I wouldn't mind seeing JA and PB back court at times.
DeleteDid you get the feeling that coaches want the Rox to pound the ball inside rather than shooting 3PTers in the 1st half?
ReplyDeleteDunno if it's the coaches, but that's what happened.
DeleteParsons with 3 TO's.
ReplyDeleteThe reason the lead got away from Houston is because of the turnovers. Parsons and Harden. Also, Houston missed easy baskets, Beverly, Asik, Parsons.
DeleteGSW is behind Knicks by 3 points, 55 to 58. High scoring game so far.
ReplyDeleteCurry with 27 points so far for GSW and Chandler with 17 rebounds with 7 of them Offensive rebounds.
DeleteDavid Lee not in game cuz of the fight yesterday?
DeleteGSW is missing David Lee who has been suspended for an altercation last night with Hibbert. No wonder Chandler has 17 rebounds.
DeleteHouston playing garbage 2q. Depending on bigs too much and too much iso. No hustle either.
ReplyDeleteYup. It seems Rox were missing Morris and PPat in Q2. They have hard time adjusting to shooting outside of paint.
DeleteLOL...Why does Patrick Paterson has 10 pts and other stats in Yahoo Box score?
ReplyDeleteHe has 13 points and 7 rebounds.
DeleteDunno but looks like both PP and TD had good games according to box score.
DeleteWait.... Wasn't he traded? I'm confused...
DeleteGarbage time.
DeleteWho is wearing his number?
DeleteAlso Toney Douglas with 2pts :)
DeleteDMo is awesome, TRob looks completely lost.
ReplyDeleteIf McHale has any clue, he'd realize that in a game like this with a new starting rotation and a revamped second unit with new players, the everyone is a point guard offense only promotes confusion and chaos.
Make one guy (Lin) the primary ballhandler and have the offense run through just him.
Probably not gonna happen, tho.
Dmo has +18 and TRob has -18 in the 1st half
DeleteLol, nice. I suspect DMo is going to see more playing time in the second half.
DeleteDMo is real good.Jeremy playing with a busted lip.close game. Go Rockets!
ReplyDeletePlay by play makes Lin look passive on offense. How does he look?
ReplyDeleteHe looks decent on D and passing OK.
DeleteHe wasn't his usual quick self driving to the basket.
DeleteI hope his shots will fall in soon.
That great full-court pass from Lin just saved him from getting benched!
ReplyDeleteRockets are playing like crap. Letting Ellis and Ilyesova shooting on them off the screen and as usual Parsons committing more TOs with his dribbling.
ReplyDeleteMorey doesn't look so smart right now.
DeleteDelfino is subbed in for D-Mo to stop the bleeding.
DeleteLucky shot by Delfino. If that was a read and react, Delfino should've cut first then catch. But, he catch then cut.
ReplyDeleteHope Delfino can give some 3PT sparks and decent defense on Ilyasova
ReplyDeleteDoes Asik look faster on D now that he's got the knee warmers?
ReplyDeleteHere is Bill Worrell comment about Lin, "I think Lin is quicker than what his opponents give him credit for and that is why he gets alot of steals." No duh Einstein!
ReplyDeleteAsik's hands need superGlue!!!
ReplyDeleteHe needs more calluses on his hands. His hands got too much lotion.
DeleteNuevo threado.
ReplyDeletenew thread
ReplyDeleteway too many missed shot...damn
ReplyDelete
