  4. Asik got a double double already. 12 points and 11 rebounds.

  5. Wow another non call on Lin.

Did y'all see him cyke walker out with that quick step? Lol awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Lin duped everybody again and got a foul call on Kimbe just like how he did in the Knicks game. Hahahah...that's some great bball IQ there.

    1. I was at the Knicks game when he did that and I pointed out to the people who were watching the game with me that everybody thought he was just going to dribble it to half court for a time out but he ran past the Knicks player and got a foul call.

    2. excuse my grammar. Knicks players.

  7. Surprised Houston is doing so well since Lin doesn't get a call and Harden doesn't play D.

    1. And, that one word excuses McHell's substitution pattern too.

    1. It's always suck against Lin!

    2. the refs may have talked with mchale b4 the game just in case Lin will be spectacular tonight

      Delete
  9. Another no call on a Lin drive. Refs are schizophrenic out there.

    ReplyDelete
  10. The FIRST call Jeremy has gotten all night. One out of eight is good enough for the refs, I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  11. So far, Lin got hammered at least 4 times without getting a call? I only started watching mid 2nd quarter. So, maybe I missed about a dozen more.

    ReplyDelete
  12. So do not like Walker.

    Guy plays dirty.

    ReplyDelete
  13. 10 points Rockets lead and Lin is getting his rest now on the bench. Hope the coach is going to bring him in at the start of the 4th.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Will Jeremy be benched for the next ten minutes???

He might be. His stats are getting too good for McHale.

    ReplyDelete

    1. coach mchale is so unpredictable sometimes and yet so predicable sometimes!

      Delete
    2. I know exactly what you mean.

He's predictable in that he's totally illogical.

      Delete
  15. Harden zero contribution on defense but 100% eagerness on offense. If this how mchale wants his players to play he wont win a single game. I thought he was heavy on teaching defense? So did he teach harden any or defense is only for jlin to work on?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Lead back down to 7 points with 2:56 left in the 3rd quarter.

    ReplyDelete
  17. JLin out -> lead goes down. Hes gotta start the 4th!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Is it just me or Houston isn't play very aggressively with Lin benched?

    ReplyDelete
  19. The irony of using Lin like a yo-yo on and off the bench when the lead has been cut is that it creates more pressure on Lin to try and save the game. Whereas, MDA intentionally started Lin so that he did not have the pressure of being "the savior." This is so counter-intuitive.

He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Lin is back out there again now with lead down to 7. Interesting substitution pattern this game.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I want to point out the fact that most of Kemba's points today come from Douglas/Harden.

Fuck that intro Bart dickbag, talking about Lin's shitty performance against Kemba the last time the two teams met. Same thing happened there - Lin kept Walker to 50% of his points in double the time other players.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Lin in and immediately got his hands on the ball. Almost got another steal, but caused the other player to panic and got a TO on the travel call.

    ReplyDelete
  23. TD with a 3 pointer to make the lead up to 10 again.

    ReplyDelete
  24. So, three guards for Houston now? Interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  25. JLin +17 highest efficiency among all the players tonight :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. Walker blew by Lin to score on Lin. 6 points lead for Houston now.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Lin made a bad TO and Morris had to foul on the other end. I smell benching coming.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Good foul by Morris. Session missed both FTs.

      Delete
    2. He missed a 3FGA too. McHell can do no right.

      Delete
  28. First bad play by Lin. Should've taken the 3 in the corner.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Lin shoot more than harden until now lol

    ReplyDelete
  30. TD with a bad foul on the other end to cut the lead down to 4 now with 20 seconds left in the 3rd. Harden got the ball now and not giving it up. Hahahah, now the lead is only 2.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Harden iso hero ball and missed and nobody ran back to cover and it was an easy two to cut lead to 2 now.

      Delete
  31. ok bad subbing by McHale. Lin needs to dominate the point.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. First bad stretch by Jeremy. Missed wide open trey and then too scared to shoot again -- TO.

He just has to shake off the cold stretch and McHale's poor subbing and turn it back on in the 4th.

      Delete
  32. Question - what position did Lin play at the end of 3rd quarter?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Lin is stuck on 8 assists and 9 points in the 3rd. It looked very promising in the 1st half and now nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  34. He's in rhythm and you keep taking him out then putting him in.

    ReplyDelete
  35. True, McHell's sub pattern is bad.

But, there doesn't seem to be a good time to take Lin out.

Houston crumbles every time Lin's butt touches the bench.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Jeremy shld teach harden how to finish the quarter.harden tried to duplicate what lin did at the end of first but came out short...better luck on the last quarter.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Now I don't understand McHale. Lin's not playing well at the moment but he keeps him in, just trying to match up with Bobcats 3 guard lineup.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Douglas still playing point guard. This doesn't make sense.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Bball is a game of momentum and now the lead has gone back to Charlotte. Houston is making bad shots and bad TO's now.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well, leave it to McHale to mess things up again. He should stick to what worked. Experimenting with a three-guard lineup and messing up the flow... If the Rockets lose this one, fire McHale!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. He's not experimenting. He's trying to matchup with what the other team is doing. His thinking is always to try to match the other team on D, not what the other team match us.

      Delete
    2. McHale is an IMBECILE. He is the one hindering the Rockets from winning.

      Delete
    3. Okay, then his matching-up didn't work. Bottom line is it was different from what he was doing before and it didn't work. Now the whole game is a mess.

      Delete
  41. Karl named Western Conference coach of the month. Just out of curiousity, has McHale every been named coach of anything?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Okay Douglas and Lin in at the same time but somehow Douglas is handling and Lin is standing in corner.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Reversed roles. Lin is the better PG but plays SG. Douglas is the better SG but plays PG. McHale is so smart...

    2. In slow mo, it didn't look that serious, but he definitely got knocked out when his teammate called his name and he didn't move.

      Delete
  44. Observation: Everytime things don't work well for McHale he seems to just go to a 3 guard lineup.

    Why is that?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Scary injury to MKG -- hope he's okay.

    Probably a concussion.

    ReplyDelete

    1. This is a big concussion. No evidence that he is conscious

  52. Whatever happened to McHell's favorite PG, Beverley? He can insert him into the game now and a 4 guard line up for that extra spark.

    ReplyDelete
  53. This game should have been like the Jazz game, but instead McHale got weird with his sub patterns and now the Rockets are down by 5 points and Lin doesn't look right in the 2nd half. He has 4 TO's and the coach benched him.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Harden iso ball to save the day.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Damn. Lin out. Douglas stays. He never go to run the point. This blows

    ReplyDelete

    1. I actually agree with this benching.

...as long as Jeremy comes back in for the last 5 minutes or so.

      ...which he probably won't.

      Delete
  56. And now he's benched. Lin just lost, in that stretch, everything he'd built up the last few weeks. McHale will use this as an excuse for a long, long time.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. unfortunately :/

And they just went on 9-0 run not sure if Lin will come back.

      Delete
  57. Game is over when they shifted the offense to have harden be the PG and Lin hide in the corner again. All these crazy substitution destroyed chemistry.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I think Lin was distracted by that hottie in the stands.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Hey that should be a yellow card for Kemba walker!

    ReplyDelete
  60. So, not only can't McHell take Lin off the court but he also CAN'T make anyone other than Lin be the PG. Houston desperately needs someone who can back up Lin at the point.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Lin had easy passes to make. I can't imagine what was going through his head.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. yes those where painful to watch, I really hope he can train himself not to jump across the lane to pass. I'm sure he will as he gets more time on the court, that will cut down his TO's. Otherwise he had a good game, and he should not be out the rest of the 4th but what else have we come to expect....

      Delete
  62. Here comes the Harden show. Another loss for the Rox.

    ReplyDelete
  63. so Lin at the bench at 4 q again?

    ReplyDelete
  64. You will not see Lin back in the line up now since Houston is able to get back the lead with Lin on the bench. This justifies McHale reason for benching Lin.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. But what can Lin do? When he did well and his team went on a run, he went to the bench and only came back if the opposing team went on a run. When he did bad and the opposing team went to a run, he also went to the bench and wouldn't come back if his team went on a run. Lol.

      Delete
  65. Its OK guys. Despite all the distractions (subbed when hot 300 times, subbed to play SG in the corners, fellow player going down) he did pretty well.

    ReplyDelete
  66. TD is -16 yet he gets to finish. Makes no sense. Let Lin be the point guard and don't try to turn him into Harden when TD is in.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Lin has only himself to blame. He turned it over or almost turned it over three straight possessions. He had easy plays to make and he made stupid ones. I can't imagine what he was doing but it was really bad luck to make those plays at that point. He gave McHale all the ammo he needed.

      Delete
    2. Are you a Lin fan? just asking

    3. @Stu,

      Are YOU a Lin fan?

Seriously, what's with the witch hunt style questioning whenever someone is objective?

      Seriously, GTFO dude...

      Delete
    4. Calm down Michael. Yes - Lin turned it over but - dont say you havent seen Harden turn it over like that before. McHale might have the ammo HE thinks he needs but in my eyes thats not good enough.

Players can loose rhythm you know? Especially when you are being subbed for no good reason all the time - or made to play SG.

      BTW - Lins back!

      Delete
    5. @TVN:

Michael is very eloquent and hes very well respected here. He can talk for himself.

      Delete
  67. Mchale's game plan for a come back. Throw up 3s and hope it goes in.

    ReplyDelete
  68. So, are most of you happy or sad that Houston went on a 9-0 run with Lin on the bench?

    ReplyDelete
  69. I don't know what game you guys are watching, he had like 2-3 turnovers within 3 minutes and then allowed two 3s in a row. This benching is justified.

He's an NBA player I don't care what the rotation was.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. So Douglas got to play even he helped the opposing team on 2-3 big run? And Douglas cannot be benched no matter what right?

      Delete
  70. This is exactly what we were questioning in the early going.lin was playing excellent then the unexplainable sub patterns broke his momentum.jeremy can't continue with the fire he has bec mchale would throw ice on him.to me, if jeremy played poorly in the 2nd , we all know who to blame.Jeremy (this is mchale's answer)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Exactly. In both the previous subs, he brought the team back up. Then, after a string of unlucky shots/fouls, he gets sat.

      Delete
  71. And now of course Charlotte can't buy a basket. They'd been hitting everything on everyone while Lin was in for that last stretch.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Lin was subbed out and back in twice before the latest "shit" stretch. He helped bring the team back up 4 points in both prior subs. McHale subbed Lin in and out really destructively. You can't play a player for a few minutes at a time, sub them out, and then back in.

      Delete
  72. Lin gets no breathing room. parsons and harden can have 6+ to games but if lin gets 4 to's he gets benched.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Lin is at the scorer's table now.

    ReplyDelete
  74. PPat is taking over the game now, not Harden, not TD, not Asik, not Parsons.

  83. Did I just see Lin stuff walker?

    Lol :D

So mad he's not gunna get double double at this pace.

    1. McHale achieved that with his weird substitution pattern. This should have been an easy game for Houston and the starters should have been resting on the bench, but instead McHale made it interesting.

      Delete
    2. It was so promising... but McHale is there so really, what else did I expect. Granted, Lin made some mistakes but the question is what caused it/contributed to it?

      Delete
    3. It's plain as day. Nobody overshadows Har-en. He's the franchise player, all-star and marquee draw.

    2. He barely handled the ball in the 2nd half. The few times he handled he turned it over (his own fault but it happened to anyone).

And he kept getting subbed in and out for probably 10 times in this game.

If McHale didn't take him out so early in the 1st quarter he probably had a double double in the 1st half already.

      Delete
  85. I think Lin is turning off cause of all the non-calls on him, so he's not driving...

  86. Kevin Mchale is not a great coach....
He doesn't know what his rotation should be....

      Delete
  90. This is a GREAT example of how Bubba Gump Sampson and Kevin McHale completely ruined Jeremy Lin during the game. Lin started HOT this game, 8 assists 3 steals and 3 for 4 shooting by halftime. Also held Kemba to like 2 points in the 1st half (but Kemba scored against Harden and Douglas).

Lin kept getting yanked around in the first half. Same in the 3rd quarter. By the 4th quarter Lin was cold, lost all his momentum from all the benchings.

Looks like the game will end with Lin still with 8 assists and 3 steals. Basically, Bubba Gump Sampson succeeded in killing Lin's momentum this game.

At least Harden is about to get his triple double. Harden's defense is TERRIBLE. He guards nobody. He plays Ole defense. He must give up 30+ points every game if you add up every PG, SG, and SF who blows by Harden all game long.

    ReplyDelete

    1. McHell is a bad coach, but, using this game as an example, Jeremy cools off a little too easily.

    3. Very true.

But that's why Jeremy has a tougher battle than any other player in the entire NBA.

At the very LEAST, McHale put him back in for the late 4th quarter (and to be fair, he actually did make several bad mistakes in the 3rd).

      Delete
  91. James Harden got his first career triple double. McHale made a check right next to Harden's goals.

      Delete
  94. It's nice they won and it's nice Lin got back in, but that stretch of turnovers, right after McHale had finally acquiesced to pressure and trusted him, that was enormously costly. Lin had chance to cement trust in him for the rest of the season and he squandered it. And you could see how scared he was by that horrible miss on the three pointer. I just don't understand what he was so scared about in this game. He has leverage! He doesn't need to be scared!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Lin is hot and cold because of McHale sub him in and out so many times.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I think Houston is really trying to promote Harden.
They won't lay off calling him their "all star". The haltime recap showed 4 replays, 3 of which were Harden's and only 1 was Lins. At that point Lin had 8 assists and Harden only 4.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Lin is basically useless unless he is PG nevermind the substitution pattern. Jekyll and Hyde.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Who thinks Jeremy is better off playing for the Lakers with D'Antoni?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I don't think that will work with Kobe on the team. He's another ball hogger.

      Delete
    2. Besides, they got Nash there. Don't need Lin there. If Nash can't get it done then what makes you think Lin can outshine Nash?

      Delete
    3. But we do know that MDA has faith in Lin, let's players play through mistakes, and is not threatened by intelligent players. Lin could also learn from Nash so in that case, he doesn't have to outshine Nash... at least immediately, but he would eventually with that kind of support.

      Delete
    4. And Kobe is willing to do what he has to do win so I think he is a different type of ball hogger than Melo, at least before Melo apparently had an Eureka moment from the summer olympics.

      Delete
  99. Even official scorers hate Jeremy. He had a couple assists robbed tonight, including that last Harden bucket.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Game over. McHale achieved several goals tonight.

    1) Sub Lin in and out to make it seems to management that he is using Lin.

    2) Get Harden his first career triple double.

    3) Let management see that when Lin does bad he is quick to bench Lin and make an example out of him.

    4) Stop Lin from getting a double double or a triple double after what seems like a promising first half.

    5) Prove to management that Harden is still the right person to finish the game and not Lin.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I disagree. A coach CAN'T make a player get a triple double. Neither can he STOP a player from making a double double or a triple double. Harden is the number 1 option regardless of what we want. I would love it to be Lin but just got to accept it. And I completely disagree with the third one. The Rockets looked their WORST when Lin was in the bench. The only good part was the fourth quarter but that was all Patterson.

The Rockets look lost without Lin and anyone can see that. Lin just didn't have a good second half. That's fine, he just needs to do what he did in the first half throughout the whole game. He is well capable of doing that and more.

      Delete
  101. Lin played great in the first half. I'm happy with that. 3-4 quarters were a mess. Good for McHale putting him back in at the end at least

    ReplyDelete
  102. Not gunna hate on Harden, its just his night, anytime someone gets a triple double its legit.

Not sure why Lin sort of self destruct in 3rd and early 4th. Its like he sort of well stopped playing for a stretch there.

Oh well there's next game. 100 bucks this is where McHale says he is inconsistent.

He is only starter without double digits anything.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Harden played great -- very unselfish actually.

I just want to stop seeing McHale sub Lin in and out and in and out like a psycho.

Let him play more than 7 minutes at a time!

      Delete
    2. There is like one minute during Lin's in and out! crazy!

      Delete
  103. Rockets win and Lin had a good game. Lin had a great first half but then kinda just died down. Good win even though it shouldn't have been that difficult. Now some good rest and practice and Golden State. McHale still needs to work that rotation out. I thought it was a bit better but still Parsons had 44 minutes and Harden 40. Delfino was out so who knows.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Lin needs to prove that he can play without being the PG all the time.

And, McHell needs to learn how to bench Lin without taking the ball out of Lin's hands.

    Oh, the paradox.

  105. I should mention that after he came back in the third he didn't get to be PG. It's clear Lin is not a good shooting guard, which is kind of sad, but a fact. He's even a bad passer when he plays shooting guard. So, that's half the reason he had that bad stretch. McHale is a clever man. Don't sub Lin out but put him in a position to fail.

  106. McHale is not smart but I think it's Bubba Gump Sampson who is deliberately putting Lin down to help Harden and Douglas look better. It was Bubba Gump who sat Lin during the Portland game while McHale was out, the game Lin almost had a triple double and sat most of that 4th quarter and overtime (in a LOSS).
