my jaw just dropped to the ground after the GSW he failed to praise jeremy lin for his offensive contribution. and continued to praise harden . LOL. that was one game in which lin lioned and played to the max in the 'limited' way which machale uses him. And he gets zero love. This is just tooo cruel. Honestly I think now the coach just doesn't like lin in the team.
Great game in Boston. Denver loses so Rockets can make up some ground. I wish Houston fans could show up at Toyota Center like the Celtics fans do at the Garden. Tonight the fans were a big part of the triple overtime win for the Celtics
Lin took it coast to coast and finished it with a dunk. On the other side, Harden tries to do too much and ended up missing the shot. He didn't pass to Lin who was the trailer. Lin blocked the shot and took it all the way on the previous play.
I think Delfino is tentative about passing the ball to Lin. He instead pass it to Harden to initiate the offense. I seen him do this on several occasions. I am beginning to suspect Delfino rather pass it to the #1 guy rather than the #2 guy.
@john ly, I don't know what was going on in your head to ended up with that interpretation. We know that Lin is 6'3" not 6'2" and we also know Lin can dunk be it one handed or two handed dunk. But we know that he doesn't dunk very often in the NBA, you could say its a rare occasion, so I'll take that dunk in Lin's all time career highlights
IMHO, it was a foul on Lin. Lin is playing good D and shooting well, although I think Lin will have a tough time driving against Isaiah Thomas guy because Thomas is pretty good at staying in front of his guy. Harden does not seem to be playing very smartly this game.
He was definitely fouled, but only superstars get calls at the end of the half. So I can live with that no call.
Great half from Jeremy despite his Chandler bricking every open jumper, a no-call on a fastbreak and getting robbed of an assist. Not to mention Jeremy first "posterize" dunk -- the block and the coast-to-coast handles were just as impressive.
He's doing his one man defensive wrecking crew thing again, but friggin' James Harden is being victimized so much that it's offsetting Lin's DOMINANT defense.
If Harden would just buckle down a bit defensively and stop leaking for 3s, the Rockets would likely have the Kings down by 20 despite the utterly inept Rockets big men getting BULLIED by the Kings youngsters.
Then jeremy shld do it more and piss his coach off. Anyways, i think mchale has learned that he cant really benched him for a long time unless he wants to lose
@Pierrot , Yeah! I would have wanted to have witnessed it LIVE , just as I have witnessed that historic , epic , record tying 3 pointers game against GSW! Haha
Give Parsons a break. I believe he is a very versatile player. He is not on his game tonight. If he is on then the Rockets would be leading by now. It is the trend when Parsons is hot.
Well guys houston is in the 7th spot right now. We need to win tonight to go one game ahead of Utah. And of course beat the Warriors. Clippers could go either way.
On the NBA website with one of the highlights of Lin getting a "hoop and harm", the stupid old Kings announcer says racist lying garbage like "Lin is not as quick as you'd like to see in a point guard".
Also, Harden is getting ATTACKED. If I were Sacramento, I'd go at him on every possession because he doesn't even put his arms up on defense. The Sacramento guards are either strolling past Harden in isolation or getting Harden tangled up in picks so that the Sacramento big men can roll to the rim for uncontested layups.
I'll bet McHale is CHEWING ASS defensively of the entire team, not just Harden. The only guy who should be exempt from asschewing is Lin who's stupidly being helped by teammates on players like Isaiah Thomas who can't score even if he was unguarded.
Agree on the dumb comment that Lin is not quick. Cracks me up. The other announcer did say some nice things about Lin though. This game illustrates huge gaping hole in Rockets that they are just allowing opponents to walk to the rim.
James Harden is THE HOLE that opponents are la-da-da-ing through.
If I were coaching him, I'd bench him and SCREAM AT HIM to at least PRETEND to play defense. Then I'd put him back in the game and tell him to keep traveling because the refs are terrified of calling him for steps.
Also, Marcus Morris hasn't shown up to play today. He just got ABUSED by Thomas Robinson.
Harden obviously trying to conserve energy on defense so he can score. Hopefully he will turn it on in the second half and pick up the scoring. Good game so far, let's see if the Rockets can pull away in the second half.
I got a feeling that Lin got a little frustrated when the ball never finds him back and it's a good thing if he can go a little Westbrook in this 'democratic-all-PG' offense.
I actually see no problem with Lin's scoring and usage in a 50+ point half.
I have a BIG PROBLEM with James Harden getting greyhounded defensively. He's singlehandedly keeping the Kings in the game with his horrifically bad defense.
Those Rockets bigs are also getting schooled in isolation. Their utter lack of athleticism shows against the Kings which have jumping jacks at the power positions.
Carlos Delfino misjudged Lin's ability to recover on Thomas from a help defense, leading to a John Salmons three.
I'm sure the highly intelligent Delfino was like "My bad.
Let Lin roam. He's tortured the Kings' offense, but he can't offset Harden's horrifically bad D. This is probably the worst I've ever seen Harden play defense.
As long as James Harden at least puts his hands up and moves his feet around the picks, the Rockets can win this game EASILY even if Lin doesn't score another point.
Go jeremy and Co. Lets get Win 29!!
ReplyDeleteGo JLin!
ReplyDeleteGO LIN GO ROCKETS!!!
ReplyDeleteLet's go Lin!
ReplyDeleteHow can I watch this game, my league pass only let me listen to audio

DeleteHuge crowd in this arena.hope these fans will go easy on rockets...
ReplyDeletemy jaw just dropped to the ground after the GSW he failed to praise jeremy lin for his offensive contribution. and continued to praise harden . LOL. that was one game in which lin lioned and played to the max in the 'limited' way which machale uses him.
ReplyDeleteAnd he gets zero love. This is just tooo cruel. Honestly I think now the coach just doesn't like lin in the team.
It WAS fishy...
Deletesaid the dead fish.
Delete[Fishy all around, haha]
Delete@deadfish~ didn't mean to pun. :)
Happy Chinese New Years.
DeleteNien Nien Yo Fish.
Haha, yeah, Nien Nien Yo Yue Everybody
DeleteListening to the commentators (Kings) looks like they're gunna focus on Harden.
ReplyDeleteGo Lin!
Lol easy 2 for lin down the paint.
ReplyDeleteNice turn around shot too bad shotclock ranned out lol
ReplyDeleteRox looks cold :/
ReplyDeleteAsik not even trying on defense or rebounds.
ReplyDeleteBrik city...
ReplyDeleteLol I'm gunna be mad if we lose to this team.
Does Harden ever take a charge? He let Evans go right passed him.
ReplyDeleteU mean Haren.
DeleteHardin dishing.
ReplyDeleteLol Harden sooo travelled but no call...
ReplyDeleteI am watching on my tiny ultrabook.. missed the intracacies on what makes Harden so good..
DeleteKings doing well on D.rockets are not given easy shots. Rockets shooting is rusty ... Hope it gets better...
ReplyDeleteGreat game in Boston. Denver loses so Rockets can make up some ground. I wish Houston fans could show up at Toyota Center like the Celtics fans do at the Garden. Tonight the fans were a big part of the triple overtime win for the Celtics
ReplyDeleteAaaand Beverley is in...
ReplyDeleteAre you serious McHale? Beverley in already??
ReplyDeleteAaand now kings lead by 4.
ReplyDelete:/
Deletei hope they lose if they keep messing lin up like this
ReplyDeleteLol did Asik just headbutt the ball for that TO?
ReplyDeleteGetting pwned by Kings, SMH.
Asik is a klutz.
DeleteTD and his stupid fouls. Giving midget Thomas confidence.
ReplyDeletebeverly.
DeleteTD? You're high
DeleteLol corrected, very sorry
DeleteYes he's on crack.
Deletewhat are you talking about, i got the crack from you, inbred.
Deleteyo mama's inbred. hahaha
DeleteFAIL, inbred. your attempts at being funny are sad.
Deletehaha only puzzy u ever got was when ur inbred mom gave birth to ur inbred azz ...
DeleteI don't speak moron. Get back at me when you're speaking english.
DeleteMake that 8pt lead
ReplyDeleteMcHale ur defense is horrid.
Lol 8-2 run
ReplyDeleteHarden airball, getting trapped, they're ignoring aldritch. Lol.
ReplyDeleteThis game might be over already.
And aldritch starts fouling.
DeleteThis is going to be a long night.
the way they're playing, they're gonna LOSE.
Deleteperhaps they underestimate the Kings a bit
DeleteSeriously? This early??Can they lose in 3rd Q at least? My positivity will remain as of this time, rockets will win.
DeleteIts like they've gone back to how they played during the 7 game losing streak.
DeleteBall movement is poor.
No one is cutting. No offensive flow.
Trading shots, and Kings are shooting better.
I can't figure out why sometimes Lin is allowed to be the PG to start 1Q but sometimes he doesn't or isn't allowed to.
ReplyDeleteThere is no offensive flow whatsoever in the 1Q. When shots are not falling, it's quite ugly to watch.
This is how their offense normally works though.
DeleteFking aldritch...
ReplyDeleteGot shot over 2x already, way too far to contest and he doesn't move just stands there.
This is not good, trading shots.
ReplyDeletethat's the norm for the rockets though.
DeleteLol lets' leave the lane wide open, I'm sure Tyreke Evans won't attack...
ReplyDeleteNope...
Not sure why Lin's back in. It's not his time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shock a Lin sighting beginning of quarter!
ReplyDeleteJust consider Mchale as a fifth grader trying some experiment.the more of jeremy on the court, the better for the team. The more i will watch too.
DeleteBeautiful and 1. Ok it was ugly but still a +1 ;)
ReplyDeleteAldritch can jump omg.
ReplyDeleteWhy he isn't playing above the rim more I dunno.
Cuz he's on the bench all the time.
DeleteParsons...Lol how u miss that :/
ReplyDeleteLin nice pass to Delfino for a quick 2.
Well Lin was playing without Harden.
ReplyDeleteThat didn't last long. Harden probably back after timeout.
LOL Thorton trying to take Lin one on one.
ReplyDeletethat was funny. Saw Lin, must be easy iso or so he thought
DeleteJust because you're wearing #23 doesn't mean you are the 23.
Morris: I'm just going to stand here and let the ball drop into my hands, easy rebound. Hey wtf who...
ReplyDeleteLOLOL
Allergic to boxing out
DeleteRobber lin
ReplyDeleteDenver lost to Boston and Portland lost to Orlando. Good chance for the Rockets to catch up.
ReplyDeletelin to parsons brick.
ReplyDeletethis energy robinson out hustles all the rockets player
Pathetically weak defense by Marcus Morris against Thomas Robinson.
ReplyDeleteAgainst no other team would this average rookie jump around and dominate Houston's weak big men.
Looks like Houston is struggling because Parsons is not shooting well tonight. 1 for 6. Also Harden is struggling as well with 3 for 7 for 9 points.
ReplyDeleteOMG!
ReplyDeleteLIN BANG!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTAKE THAT BITCHES!!!
WHOA!!!
ReplyDeleteeverybody hear buzzer stop running.
THROWS DOWN THE DUNK by LIN
Happy new Year haters!
DeleteBlock and coast to coast dunk
You see that, Keith Smart? lol
highlight
DeleteKeith Smart didn't see shit. He's still trying to find out where Acie Law is.
DeleteLin took it coast to coast and finished it with a dunk. On the other side, Harden tries to do too much and ended up missing the shot. He didn't pass to Lin who was the trailer. Lin blocked the shot and took it all the way on the previous play.
ReplyDeleteThat's going to highlights!!! WOW NEVER SEEN LIN DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT!
ReplyDeleteWhat?!
ReplyDeleteBamm!
ReplyDeleteHm.. facial from Lin, what did he had from dinner? Yes, more dunking and showboating ....
ReplyDeleteThose In-&-Out burgers
Deleteright,...all six of them..all that methane gas can really propel the Lin motor...
DeleteDid somebody say Lin & Out Burgers?
Deletehaha the In-N-Out "animal" style worked its wonder!!!
DeleteFIRST DUNK of the YEAR by Lin!!!!
ReplyDeleteCoaches just collected their jaws off the floor. "Who dat player?"
Deleteawesome block and dunk.
DeleteIt's not the first dunk of the year, but it's the first time Lin dunked over someone in his entire NBA career.
Deleteoh, I must have missed his dunk this year. Good posterizing dunk by Lin then!
DeleteChinese kid just dunked on the Kings.
ReplyDeleteLin's playing well, they better swing the f.ucking ball back to him.
ReplyDeleteWhat a dunk after sweeping the floor, from end to end....that's what we wanna see jeremy
ReplyDeleteOmg! I literally joked and shouted up fr my couch with that Lin dunk
ReplyDeleteEvans just killed harden there, even with Lin shading to cheat to 2x
ReplyDeletedelfino defers to harden, 2 man game on that possession there.
ReplyDeleteHarden is FEELING IT - from the refs.
ReplyDeleteHe is driving the rims, getting calls, and getting to the line. RIDE HIM.
Harden travels too.
while his teammates watch and get frozen out.
DeleteI think Delfino is tentative about passing the ball to Lin. He instead pass it to Harden to initiate the offense. I seen him do this on several occasions. I am beginning to suspect Delfino rather pass it to the #1 guy rather than the #2 guy.
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing that too. Probably because he's on a 1 year contract, rather give it to the max guy to get some higher chance of stat stuffing
DeleteHe's been doing that all season.
DeleteJeremy block and a dunk....!!!
ReplyDeleteharden with defense, delfino keeps the ball, ignores lin on wing, gets bailed out with foul call
ReplyDeletedelfino no respect to lin's game
THAT. WAS. EPIC.
ReplyDeleteI missed it went to the bathroom what the heck Jeremy thanks a lot!
ReplyDeleteHe has fire !!!!
ReplyDeleteMan that dunk by Lin gotta up there in all time career highlight. We just witnessed something great
ReplyDeleteAlmost fell off my chair goddammit
Come on guys, he is 6' 2. He should be able to dunk that ball. It's a good dunk, but let not make him out to be Nate Robinson now.
Delete@john ly, I don't know what was going on in your head to ended up with that interpretation. We know that Lin is 6'3" not 6'2" and we also know Lin can dunk be it one handed or two handed dunk. But we know that he doesn't dunk very often in the NBA, you could say its a rare occasion, so I'll take that dunk in Lin's all time career highlights
DeleteNo comment...I rather hold my tongue on this one.
DeleteDidn't know Jeremy could do that!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSuper dunk by Lin!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou know...
ReplyDeleteRox gunna win.
Lin is fired up.
12pt run coming up...Unless McHale subs him out again.
lol, delfino to harden 2 man game again
ReplyDeletepatterson passes up open j off sweet jlin dish, goes inside with spin move and makes hook shot
ReplyDeleteNice assist lin!
ReplyDeleteHere comes the boom...Rox in lead now
delfino to harden for 3
ReplyDeleteCome ON Patterson, go up strong.
ReplyDeleteLIN ANSWERS THOMAS'S 3 WITH HIS OWN
ReplyDeleteGET SOME!
Take that Kings. Lin answers with a three of his own after Salmon hit a three.
ReplyDeleteDid Thomas break Lin's ankles?
ReplyDeletethomas crosses over lin, but he has no jumper.
ReplyDeleteJlin comes back over that embarassing crossover and shoots a 3 in your face
He got that CALI SWAG back. He so needs to play in his home state.
OMG ALDRITCH LOL SCORED FOR KINGS
ReplyDeletelol, delfino just black hole everything from lin
ReplyDeleteA 3! Lin is really coming to his own. A complete player. If Rox don't show him love, someone else will.
ReplyDeleteSuper dunk by Lin!!!!
ReplyDeleteHow many of you posters here see Harden go for that 3 point shot on a 2 for 1 and never makes it. He is not too smart that Harden guy.
ReplyDeleteevans iso on lin but he doesn't go anywhere.
ReplyDeleteTAKE ALDRICH OUT. USELESS. back to back to back offensive rebound
The Rockets are missing Greg Smith.
DeleteMaybe Greg Smith could not do anything other than dunk, but at least he challenged people and jumped around.
The NBA pace is simply too fast for Cole Aldrich.
Kings back to 5pt lead...Rox big men is so fking soft is not even funny.
ReplyDeleteStupidly BAD defense by Harden, not even trying as he gets burned.
ReplyDeleteIf Harden defended, the Rockets would be up by 20.
Lin gets last second shot but bricks on drive
ReplyDeleteA lot of contact on that drive.
DeleteHe was fouled
DeleteIMHO, it was a foul on Lin. Lin is playing good D and shooting well, although I think Lin will have a tough time driving against Isaiah Thomas guy because Thomas is pretty good at staying in front of his guy. Harden does not seem to be playing very smartly this game.
DeleteIt might've been a shot clock violation BEFORE the foul.
DeleteFor once, I'll give the NBA refs the benefit of the doubt on this call.
Lin has like 10 points!
DeleteHe's had no trouble driving past puny little Isaiah Thomas.
I love how Lin waved off Harden for the last shot
ReplyDeleteHe thought he got fouled on the last shot. No call from Refs again.
DeleteLin totally got fouled on the last drive. Refs were in shock it was an Asian dude taking the last shot instead of Har_en.
DeleteI love it everytime jeremy gets the chance to shoot to end a quarter and not giving up the ball. Did he play the full 2nd Q?
DeleteYou know Lin is getting benched for bricking that last shot.
DeleteHe was definitely fouled, but only superstars get calls at the end of the half. So I can live with that no call.
DeleteGreat half from Jeremy despite his Chandler bricking every open jumper, a no-call on a fastbreak and getting robbed of an assist. Not to mention Jeremy first "posterize" dunk -- the block and the coast-to-coast handles were just as impressive.
NASTY defense by Lin.
DeleteHe's doing his one man defensive wrecking crew thing again, but friggin' James Harden is being victimized so much that it's offsetting Lin's DOMINANT defense.

Kenoshi
DeleteThen jeremy shld do it more and piss his coach off. Anyways, i think mchale has learned that he cant really benched him for a long time unless he wants to lose
At least the turnovers slowed to jsut 2 this quarter.
ReplyDelete5 1st quarter...Omg >_<
Why did i not watch this game from the start? whoa! Totally missed that Dunk!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, you will see it in tonights highlights! ;)
Deletethank goodness i decided to stay in and forgot the game but thank goodness i tuned in beginning mid 1st qtr
Deleteit was more impressive to see it "live". that burst!
Even worse for me I was watching the game but went to the bathroom!
Delete@Dave T , LOL!!!!
Delete@Pierrot , Yeah! I would have wanted to have witnessed it LIVE , just as I have witnessed that historic , epic , record tying 3 pointers game against GSW! Haha
I came in late too for this game. 'missed that DUNK too!
Deletejackie Robinson commercial. how appropriate!
ReplyDeleteEverytime I see Parsons handle the ball, my skin starts to itch and I break out in hives...
ReplyDeleteWhy is that?!
Give Parsons a break. I believe he is a very versatile player. He is not on his game tonight. If he is on then the Rockets would be leading by now. It is the trend when Parsons is hot.
Deletecuase he's terrible with the ball and should NOT be handling it as much as he does.
DeleteTo Parsons' defense, he has played well this season. However, sometimes I think he thinks he's MJ.
DeleteAgree with k smith. Just wonder where parsons get the confidence to handle the ball knowing it is not his strength.
DeleteSarcasm
DeleteFor some reason, the rotation help on defense is very slow tonight. The Kings are getting too many layups and second chances.
ReplyDeleteIf Lin doesn't score 25+ this game, Rockets are going to lose this game.
ReplyDeleteWell guys houston is in the 7th spot right now. We need to win tonight to go one game ahead of Utah. And of course beat the Warriors. Clippers could go either way.
ReplyDeletevideo of dunk courtesy of clutch fans:

DeleteNow I'm sad I missed it live.

ReplyDeleteLin dunking on Chinese New Year and drains the 3! Loving this game. Good sub pattern keeping Lin in in the 2nd quarter.
ReplyDeleteLin just roaming off guarding thomas. he should be getting 4 to 5 steals
ReplyDeletethomas so has no J
Carlos Delfino misjudged Lin's ability to recover on Thomas from a help defense, leading to a John Salmons three.
DeleteI'm sure the highly intelligent Delfino was like "My bad.

lin patterson 2 man game. nice
ReplyDeletepatterson passes up mid j from first lin feed
patterson swishes 3 from second lin feed
i think opposing PGs need to attack lin laterally.
ReplyDeleteAttacking Lin laterally won't work, at least not without a pick.
DeleteThe Kings tried that and Lin completely stopped both Evans and Thomas. Lin forced Evans nearly out of bounds and blanketed Thomas like a raincoat.
lin almost went for cherry picking. trusts asik to play defense on cousins, except cousins gets bailout call
ReplyDeletelin getting a breather letting harden run pnr. patterson bricks pass from lin after a swing around
ReplyDeletegood challenge by lin on cousins. but cousins rebounds his own miss
ReplyDeleteThis is so sad rox frontcourt getting raped
ReplyDeletelin pnr, gets into paint, finds open harden 3. gets another assist
ReplyDeletei'm kinda flipping between the game and grammy's. does lin get any screens set for him? seems like they're all for harden.
ReplyDeleteA few, but Rockets have no PnR big men right now with Greg Smith in the D-league. Pick n pop with Patterson works alright though.
DeleteThomas making it a personal vendetta against Lin and playing out of control, leading to a Rockets steal and dunk.
ReplyDeleteGotta let Lin play close to 40 minutes this game to win.
ReplyDeleteThey're playing old Linsanity highlights...Paying Lin some respect.
ReplyDeletecousins killing asik
ReplyDeleteALL THAT WORK JUST SO ASIK CAN TRAVEL.
ReplyDeleteAs long as James Harden at least puts his hands up and moves his feet around the picks, the Rockets can win this game EASILY even if Lin doesn't score another point.
ReplyDelete
