Howard Chen @ho_chenCSN Likin the hustle by the Rockets. They haven't given up yet. Helps to key some momentum after that Lin 3. #neversaydie #RedNation
This is the type of game Mchale needs to leave Lin in for the ENTIRE 2nd half. If he does that the Rockets will grind and get the game close by the end of the game.
Mchale must learn Lin and Harden need to stay in the entire 2nd half and have other guys play around them.
This is the PERFECT type of game where Lin will come out of nowhere to go insane in the 4th Quarter. I hope Mchale understands how his PG ticks.
Good point. If he watched NYK games last year, Lin could play shitty for three quarters then light it up in the fourth. But, McHell doesn't seem to understand that notion, and doesn't understand the notion of letting his young starters learn to play through tough games.
Well he let them play so far. It is slowly paying off. Lin is not perfect but he does more good than bad and you hope he gets "HOT" on defense or offense. He has that uncanny ability.
Houston Rockets @HoustonRockets Rockets not gonna go away quietly. @JLin7 gets it going and some hustle has Rockets back w/in 12 mid Q3 despite some ridiculous shots by LBJ
Man, Harden and Lin take turns playing bad defense. When Lin locks down Chalmers, Harden falls asleep on Lebron. Then Lin falls asleep on the screeen and boom Chalmers for 3...
Uh oh I see more and more of Lin hiding in corner offense again...
the Heat announcers know that once Jeremy heats up, the rest of the Rockets follow. now that the Heat don't have any big presence inside, time for Asik to shine
Exactly. That's why I'm not killing McHale for sitting Jeremy or reducing his role against the Heat. The Heat specialize in stopping the PnR and Jeremy isn't going to get any 50/50 calls obviously.
Still want to see Jeremy back in early in the 4th. He was just heating up again. And his 3pt shot has looked pretty lately!

Not bothered by the loss. Rockets managed to keep it a close game against the championship team on a back-to-back game. ExCats @ExCats The Rockets got to within 3 of the Heat in the final 28 seconds, but fall 114-108 in Miami. @pdpatt with 15 pts (7-12 FG) and 3 rebounds.
Blame McHale. Genius started giving minutes to Patrick Beverly instead of Lin. Remember the game he put Beverley to start the 2nd half instead of Lin?? How stupid does that look now.
This game is on McHell, just like the Denver game, when he brought in Lin too late in the fourth. When the fuck is he going to realize that Lin, not beverly or TD, gives the team the best chance to win, especially in the fourth?
God, McHell's crazy substitution decisions especially when it comes to Lin is driving me nuts. He needs someone to be a "substitution coordinator," because he's clueless, totally clueless.
Just to explain: There were no posters a while ago at the beginning of the game, the page was empty. I thought I'd get it going. Then I just got on automatic :) [Didn't even know there was a new 2ndhalf thread.] Sorry, @zxcvb. ^^
Your right, thread should be for posters to post in. NO MORE TWEETS ON GAME THREADS, @zxcvb. :)
i don't mind a few tweets, especially insightful ones about Lin. But, tweets that just bash Lin and do so badly just gets me riled up, especially after a tough loss.
I have more respect for random fan posts than legitimate media tweets. "legitimate media" are the worst Lin bashers because they do so thinking they're being objective when they are spewing their cynical and biased "expert opinion."
Oops, sorry for deleting the posts you're responding to @Roberlin. You have a good point, fans are more innocent in their passions, but media might have an agenda...
I guess worldviews are really hard to uproot, esp when there is no gain to oneself [and the harm to another can easily be disassociated from ~] The most difficult to learn are those who don't know/ won't accept they need to in the first place.
Didn't see the game just heard how they trapped Lin. Was this what they did to him last year as well? Are they trapping Lin before he cross the mid court? Why didn't they adjust and have help to move the ball away from the trap. A good coach should be able to set up escapes from traps because once a trap is set that means someone is not being covered. A team that passes the ball as well as the Rox should be able to outlet the ball as soon as a trap is being set. Someone please fill me in.
Jeremy and the Rockets look like they're out of gas after last night.
ReplyDeleteJeremy making nice moves and passes, but he and his teammates can't finish.
No more Morey Ball. They need to hit some mid-range Js.
DeleteThat's how the Celtics get to the Heat. Bucks beat them twice that way last year.
Jeremy keeps practicing his J after stoppages but never shoots it from there.
Lets go Lin! Great job getting to hoop just need to finish
ReplyDeleteAre these refs professional Miami Heat refs? Like what.the.fuck.
ReplyDeleteAll the moving picks set by the Heat with 0 calls. Fuck.

ReplyDeleteWhat happened to Parsons? Is he being treated like Lin caused he couldn't defend Lebron and making lots of tos?
ReplyDelete5 PFs?
DeleteAnderson has no experience in clutch time man.
ReplyDeleteAlmost there the play should have plan b or other opion.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be a tough loss, but the Rockets played pretty well.
ReplyDeleteJust a few mistakes from a young team on the second day of a back-to-back.
Good, gritty game. Harden was unselfish until the end where he needed to take over (due to his jumper and superstar calls).
Too little too late.
ReplyDeleteLin should have shot that 3 instead of passing it back to Harden, you knew they won't let him shoot.

ReplyDeleteThe Rockets got to within 3 of the Heat in the final 28 seconds, but fall 114-108 in Miami. @pdpatt with 15 pts (7-12 FG) and 3 rebounds.
IF Blazers win today they'll move up to 8th and Rox down to 9th.
ReplyDeleteThat 7 game losing streak REALLY hurt.
Blame McHale. Genius started giving minutes to Patrick Beverly instead of Lin. Remember the game he put Beverley to start the 2nd half instead of Lin?? How stupid does that look now.
Delete@redking, lol don't remind us of that.
DeleteThis game is on McHell, just like the Denver game, when he brought in Lin too late in the fourth. When the fuck is he going to realize that Lin, not beverly or TD, gives the team the best chance to win, especially in the fourth?
DeleteGod, McHell's crazy substitution decisions especially when it comes to Lin is driving me nuts. He needs someone to be a "substitution coordinator," because he's clueless, totally clueless.
Can people stop posting a gazillion tweets? That's borderline spamming.
ReplyDeleteI don't want to waste thread space (which goes bonkers after 250 comments) on random tweets. Most of which are obvious/stupid/misinformed.
Post whatever thoughts YOU have. But please stop posting a random tweets unless it's actual news or something especially hilarious/interesting.
YES, THANK YOU. Do we have a freaking admin for this board? I can read the media's tweets on my own on Twitter, no need to read them here.
DeleteLol, I SHOULD stop.
DeleteJust to explain: There were no posters a while ago at the beginning of the game, the page was empty.

DeleteI have more respect for random fan posts than legitimate media tweets. "legitimate media" are the worst Lin bashers because they do so thinking they're being objective when they are spewing their cynical and biased "expert opinion."
DeleteOops, sorry for deleting the posts you're responding to @Roberlin. You have a good point, fans are more innocent in their passions, but media might have an agenda...
DeleteI guess worldviews are really hard to uproot, esp when there is no gain to oneself [and the harm to another can easily be disassociated from ~] The most difficult to learn are those who don't know/ won't accept they need to in the first place.
Delete@via , I love reading your tweet posts , (esp. of course those that appreciate our boy JLin). Keep 'em coming !
DeleteA lot of blame on McHell. But, it's the officiating that gave the win to Miami.
ReplyDeleteIs it me or did Harden get hacked on the last three point shot attempt?
DeleteNew thread, guys
ReplyDeleteDidn't see the game just heard how they trapped Lin.
ReplyDeleteSomeone please fill me in.
Not so much.
