Harden up to his old tricks. Fast break and have Parsons on the wing, but decided to take it himself with a defender in his face. He was lucky to make it. On the other possession, Lin turned it over on the PnR with Asik. He passed to Asik and Asik wasn't ready for the ball. Silly TO, which I believe he needs to cut down on.
Lin got three good minutes left before he will be sub out for Beverly. He better make the best of his minutes. Asik can't seem to get a good rebound and has butte fingers. Is responsible for most of the TO and letting Denver score easily.
Lin with two assists for far on threes to Parsons and Patterson. LIn better play tougher D on Lawson because Lawson has been able to score over him a couple of times.
i started doing that a long time ago. clyde and bill are unfairly hard on lin compared to the other players and ballard trys to compensate for them by being positive about lin.
one of the rare things I agree with Drexlers is that every team runs pick n rolls on JLin, bc that is the only effective their guards will score on Lin
Lin always plays well on national TV. Houston home announcers calling game. Interesting. Lin having the ball more. Notice they are trying to play more team ball.
Clyde said it best, they are picking the hell out of Jeremy Lin. Sadly none of his teammates are there to help him out on the switch off. Lawson having a field day from those picks. Lin needs to learn to shoot from the picks just like Lawson.
So true. And 99% of Rockets fans will never understand that. "Lin is getting cooked! Lin can't score!" He's getting picked every three seconds and getting at most one pick himself...every other possession...at best. And he's still had a bunch of great games this season.
McHale is about as knowledgeable about Xs and Os as the average Rockets fan. Which is to say he's completely illiterate. I'm nowhere near an expert...or even a smart amateur and even I understand these basic things about basketball.
When my cousins and I play bball, we are old and much shorter than all the other kids that we played bball versus. The way to free ourselves and get shots are through picks. We do a bunch of picks and free up the shooters that way and are able to beat them.
KHuang was right, teams are ACTUALLY GUARDING Harden, I completely see why OKC saw him as a really good 6th man off the bench NOT a franchise player...bc he needs the ball to only make himself effective, not like Lin where he needs the ball to not only make himself effective but EVERYONE does well when Lin is running the offense
As usual dumb ass McHale sub Lin for Beverly and not letting your PG get into any sort of rhythm. Harden has the freedom to do whatever he wants; ie, take bad shots, play iso, turnover ball. I am getting sick of watching this stupid ass Rockets team with the stupid ass Rockets coaches who have no f*cking clue what the heck they are doing or how to play their rotation. Houston is getting out rebounded, out hustled, out shot and Houston never cease to commit careless TOs.
Basketball is a 2 way game - offense and defense. You can't just all-world or try to be on offense , but a bum on D. I don't care who you are, not even MJ or Kobe and they sure put out the energy in D. Harden on the other hand looks totally relaxed when it comes to defense. I am not sure why he deserves to be an allstar
Because Houston pays 80 million for him to be a ball hog and be ISO Harden. Way to involve everybody on the team when guys running the floor with you will never get a pass from you even when they are open.
Kobe is a bum on D - he makes a few fancy defensive plays but is not a good solid defender play to play. It's the NBA get used to it. NBA basketball is NOT a 2 way game until the playoffs. Even then, the bad habits these lazy superstars develop are hard to shake off in games that matter.
Houston commentators are on Harden's nuts again. Every move that Harden does is a good move to them. Harden just threw up a prayer and it happens to roll in. It can't be a high percentage shot with a defender in your face and trying to split the defenders.
Just read an article on ESPN about Knicks organization being worth the most money. But 60% of article was about Lin. Lol. New York writers still love Lin.
This is what Houston's offensive scheme has resort to. Both Lin and Harden are on the bench during the 2nd quarter and Beverly gets to play the bulk of the 2nd quarter minute until Lin will sub in for him when Harden gets his rest and sub back in as well. WTF. Used to be Lin who starts the 2nd quarter without Harden, but McHale has no f*cking clue how to run an offense.
At this point I would say Lin is not worth his 25 million dollar contract. He is not worth it because he is turned into a spot up shooter, his minutes have been cut, coaches have no confidence in his PG abilities and he is quick to be benched at the slightest trouble. Wake the f*ck up management, you didn't pay your PG $25 Million to be a dummy on the bench or be a spot up shooter. That is not what he signed up for.
So far Beverly getting to play 3 minutes of the 1st and 5 minutes in the 2nd quarter for 8 minutes. Lin so far will tally up to 15 minutes between 1st and 2nd quarter.
My bad, I meant 12 minutes in the 1st quarter and 7 minutes in the 2nd for 19 minutes total. For some reason I had a brain fart and thought of football.
I still don't understand the Parson's love fest. They treat him like he is the star on the team. Really really don't get it. I guess Morey wants to look like a genius for choosing Parsons in round 2 and making him into a fake all-star for the Rox.
3 points the Harden way as joked by Houston announcers making a reference to the game of craps. Just bad bad bad joke. These guys are morons and terrible to listen to.
We don't hate on Harden. I just think he puts way too much pressure on himself to score. He doesn't really involve alot of his teammates and seems selfish on scoring drives where he can be defended by a couple of defenders.
You're right, can't hate Harden. Blame it on the coaches because they gave him the green light to shoot and shoot without any consequences for no defense.
Lin with a steal and a good aggressive play on the other end for an AND 1. Nice going Lin. Shoot, another TO to butter fingers Asik who can't handle the bounce pass.
Lin shows more aggression going to the basket this game and looking to score more. He better wake up and smell the smelly tofu because Beverly is on his heels vying for his playing time.
They know he tends to go right most of the time and will use that right hand to throw it off the glass. The bigs on the other team has studied his moves and are ready to block him. He needs to mix it up and use his body to either shield them or draw a foul.
Well, that's only a result of Houston lacking a big man who can both attack the rim and shoot a J. Opposing big men can just converge on the running game all day long.
So, not only is Lin having a hard time attacking the rim, so is Harden.
Both are attacking the rim successfully today mainly because they are scoring off fast breaks.
Lin attacks right and Harden attacks left. Teams studied their moves already. Lin needs a consistent jumper to keep the teams honest so he can have more opportunities to drive. Once they respect your J they will play tighter to you and thus you will have more opportunity to drive.
How many times Harden makes that 3 pointer on a 2 for 1? I haven't seen him make that once and ended up giving a fast break to Javal Mcgee on the other end. Lin had to foul him to prevent the easy layup.
But definitely a level of trust to let Lin decide what to do to close the half. No doubt about it! I don't remember a similar play to close a half. Perhaps Lin decides to be aggressive from the get-go.
Lin better bring it for the 2nd half because McHale is very quick to bench him again. You know he has no love for PGs. Whoever will be the producer of the day he will play. I wonder if Tony D asks McHale how the hell he got shafted and got jumped over Beverly. I feel very sorry for TD because he hustles and yet coach treating him the same way they treat Lin, like yesterday news.
Asik needs to be aggressive in offence and look for passes from lin, Mchale needs to respect and give his 3 PGs more love and let lin run the floor and guide Beverly and TD. Time to turn around this team, a win against nuggets might restore some of their confidence
Houston big men are not good at setting picks. McHale has no clue on how to teach his players to set picks. In his days with Boston he has a bevy of quarky jerky moves to score.
Looks like he has been move to #3 on the depth chart. Beverly has jumped over him because he hustles, plays D and much taller than TD. Houston coaches are treating TD like toilet paper. Used and throw away. TD definitely needs an explanation from the coaches.
You've got this Lin, proud of you no matter what!
ReplyDeleteGo Lin! Lets start with a big lead!
ReplyDeletewas it lin's fault that lawson scored that last shot?
ReplyDeleteNice passing to Lin in the paint! More team ball so far. Liking it.
ReplyDeleteHarden up to his old tricks.
ReplyDeleteJeremy is sporting a new cut. Hopefully it will bring him luck...
ReplyDeleteJust hope Lin doesn't get benched sooner than usual regardless and asik is just so clumsy with the ball!
ReplyDeleteLin got three good minutes left before he will be sub out for Beverly. He better make the best of his minutes. Asik can't seem to get a good rebound and has butte fingers. Is responsible for most of the TO and letting Denver score easily.
ReplyDeleteWow announcers blame jeremy for the TO. Why???
ReplyDeleteThey say Lin was too quick to dribble the ball before Patterson was set with the pick. Hence they call a moving pick.
DeleteShould he be blamed for that?
DeleteHe could if he caused Patrick to be moving instead of waiting for the pick to set.
DeleteOk thanks for your insight.i guess i shld not mute my tv yet.lol
DeleteLin with two assists for far on threes to Parsons and Patterson. LIn better play tougher D on Lawson because Lawson has been able to score over him a couple of times.
ReplyDeleteI am tempted to mute my tv
ReplyDeletei started doing that a long time ago. clyde and bill are unfairly hard on lin compared to the other players and ballard trys to compensate for them by being positive about lin.
Deletewow i cant stand drexler's commentary
ReplyDeleteone of the rare things I agree with Drexlers is that every team runs pick n rolls on JLin, bc that is the only effective their guards will score on Lin
Deleteat least it's not as bad as this clyde drexler comment:
Deletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJ1MTsLHjTk
Lin always plays well on national TV. Houston home announcers calling game. Interesting. Lin having the ball more. Notice they are trying to play more team ball.

DeleteHaha.keep forcing it harden
ReplyDeleteKHuang was right, teams are ACTUALLY GUARDING Harden, I completely see why OKC saw him as a really good 6th man off the bench NOT a franchise player...bc he needs the ball to only make himself effective, not like Lin where he needs the ball to not only make himself effective but EVERYONE does well when Lin is running the offense
DeleteHARDEN IS GETTING EXPOSED, if Lin did these types of TO"S if would be benched with the quickness
ReplyDeletehe*
DeleteAs usual dumb ass McHale sub Lin for Beverly and not letting your PG get into any sort of rhythm. Harden has the freedom to do whatever he wants; ie, take bad shots, play iso, turnover ball. ReplyDeleteParsons too and he's not even a star player.

ReplyDeleteit was a pretty sweet move though. i've got no problem with it, as long as he makes it.
DeleteHarden is a good basketball player...HOU is dieting for a star, be kind to their idiot announcers.
Nice job harden. Just stand and stare while opponent shoots
ReplyDeletethat's why beverly is finishing the 4th quarter over lin? K.......
ReplyDeleteJust read an article on ESPN about Knicks organization being worth the most money. But 60% of article was about Lin. Lol. New York writers still love Lin.
ReplyDeleteThis is what Houston's offensive scheme has resort to. ReplyDeleteWhen do u guys think jeremy will cone back?
ReplyDeletewith 6 minutes left in the 2nd quarter.
DeleteHe got sub in with 7 minutes in the 2nd and Harden is also in as expected with Lin.
Deletewouldn't now be a good time to stagger lin/harden??? neither on on the court.
ReplyDeleteWhere on the same story again.
ReplyDeleteLin will be bench..
Im not just muting my tv but switching to american idol.
ReplyDeleteMcHale is basically not a bright guy. He is a good athlete. But not a smart person. Period.
ReplyDeleteAt this point I would say Lin is not worth his 25 million dollar contract.
ReplyDeleteIf DHoward and Nash can end up as role playing scrubs next to Kobe, imagine what Lin would look like in Lakerland...
ReplyDeleteSo far Beverly getting to play 3 minutes of the 1st and 5 minutes in the 2nd quarter for 8 minutes. Lin so far will tally up to 15 minutes between 1st and 2nd quarter.
ReplyDeleteHarden will get to play 15 minutes in the 1st quarter and 7 minutes in the 2nd quarter for 22 minutes total.
Delete@John Ly How do you play 15 minutes in the 1st quarter? lol?
DeleteHe wrote 15 mins total for the 2 Qs
DeleteMy bad, I meant 12 minutes in the 1st quarter and 7 minutes in the 2nd for 19 minutes total. For some reason I had a brain fart and thought of football.
DeleteHe clearly wrote 22 minutes total but okay. :)
DeleteI was refering to what he wrote on lin at 5:44, then harden came after at 5:47 which i didnt see yet when i put my reply
DeleteThe rockets are pretending to stagger Lin for 1 play from Harden, almost comical.....seriously, why bother? I don't get it at all...
ReplyDeleteBeard is down...
ReplyDeleteDid they discuss this over dinner lastnight? Beard fakes an injury and .. Linsanity?
DeleteThat dinner has Beverly in there. I don't think Lin was vocal in voicing his concerns in that dinner sit down.
DeleteHope Harden is okay. He looks like he's crying.
ReplyDeleteHe is crying from missing the open man and letting him hit a 3 pointer in his face.
DeleteHate to see Harden injured. On the other hand, Lin may explode.
ReplyDelete"The beard didn't cushion it" - wow these announcers from CSN are horrible...joking when their "star" player is writhing in pain on the floor.
ReplyDeleteI hope this not acting from harden.im bad but i hope he would need to ba taken out and jeremy might get more minutes
ReplyDeleteyeah, they are morons. that was a lame comment
DeleteHouston, we got a problem. Beardy 's down. I repeat, Beardy is down.
ReplyDeleteI still don't understand the Parson's love fest. They treat him like he is the star on the team. Really really don't get it. I guess Morey wants to look like a genius for choosing Parsons in round 2 and making him into a fake all-star for the Rox.
ReplyDeleteOh noo. Harden bb player cum actor
ReplyDeletebeardy is down and out?
ReplyDeletelin is up and in
13 TOs so far by Houston. They average 17 a game. Nice going Houston.
ReplyDeletedid lin get a hand on that to?
ReplyDelete3 points the Harden way as joked by Houston announcers making a reference to the game of craps. Just bad bad bad joke. These guys are morons and terrible to listen to.
ReplyDeleteAmazing!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd JLin ties the game.
ReplyDeleteNice 2+1
as much as you all hate on harden...he looked genuinely pumped after that three point play by lin
ReplyDeleteWe don't hate on Harden. I just think he puts way too much pressure on himself to score. He doesn't really involve alot of his teammates and seems selfish on scoring drives where he can be defended by a couple of defenders.
DeleteDont be deceived. He is an actor
DeleteYou're right, can't hate Harden. Blame it on the coaches because they gave him the green light to shoot and shoot without any consequences for no defense.
DeleteHarden's life is easier when the opposing defense has to make an honest effort to guard Lin.
DeleteLin with a steal and a good aggressive play on the other end for an AND 1. Nice going Lin. Shoot, another TO to butter fingers Asik who can't handle the bounce pass.
ReplyDeleteoh, so that's what clyde wants, for lin to get beat by big men as he makes difficult lay ups. k.
ReplyDeleteSo omer not able to catch the ball is jeremy's fault again???John ly, can you enlighten me?
ReplyDeleteIt's Asik who can't handle the pass. He has butter fingers and being 7 ft he can't handle bounce passes that well.
DeleteLin dumping it off to Asik for another turnover.
ReplyDeleteSigh.
ReplyDeleteWe need a legit center AND pf. Asik cannot catch JLin's passes.
Sounds like a broken record.
Keep playing that over again Sam.
DeleteJust saw some pick and roll defense with Lin and Morris!
ReplyDeleteOverall great team defense by Lin and teammates leading to fastbreaks. 10-0 run!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the team practice on defense paid off
Lin shows more aggression going to the basket this game and looking to score more. He better wake up and smell the smelly tofu because Beverly is on his heels vying for his playing time.
ReplyDeleteHe can attack the rim all day as long as no big is waiting in the paint.
DeleteThey know he tends to go right most of the time and will use that right hand to throw it off the glass. The bigs on the other team has studied his moves and are ready to block him. He needs to mix it up and use his body to either shield them or draw a foul.

Lin attacks right and Harden attacks left. Teams studied their moves already. Lin needs a consistent jumper to keep the teams honest so he can have more opportunities to drive. Once they respect your J they will play tighter to you and thus you will have more opportunity to drive.
DeleteGood point, I haven't seen Lin drive to the lane then pull up for a J in quite awhile. He did that quite often last year.
Delete"Its a good thing what Jeremy is doing, getting to the line"
ReplyDelete"Its what he does"
What Lin getting love? wtf.
Jump Asik jump!
ReplyDeleteAsik just set a pick for Harden at the top of the key... just sayin.
ReplyDeleteHe needs a slow motion pass from lin. Lins pass is too quick for asik
ReplyDeleteHow many times Harden makes that 3 pointer on a 2 for 1? I haven't seen him make that once and ended up giving a fast break to Javal Mcgee on the other end. Lin had to foul him to prevent the easy layup.
ReplyDeleteFirst time in a long time I see Lin direct and talk to everyone on the court. Now, that's what a leader is all about.
ReplyDeleteYah I saw Lin immediately taking charge when he got back into the game. What's going on? Did Lin pay for dinner last night?
DeleteWas that an iso Lin to close the half?
ReplyDeleteIt just happens he has the ball and ended up dribbling too much and didn't have enough time to make the shot.
DeleteWe just saw a Point Guard play and almost a spectacular 3PT spin shot!
DeleteBut definitely a level of trust to let Lin decide what to do to close the half. No doubt about it! I don't remember a similar play to close a half. Perhaps Lin decides to be aggressive from the get-go.
DeleteI'd forgive Lin if that was a drawn up play. Still, it's a very low percentage shot.
Deletei think it was designed for him to have the ball. hey, that's progress.
DeleteI am sure McHale is going to chew him a new ahole at half time for waiting until the last minute to shoot and not making a quicker pass to Harden.
DeleteWell, Lin attracted three defenders before he shot....
DeleteBench needs to bring it, 20 - 12 so far.
ReplyDeleteLast possession was bad, Lin got caught trying to pick and couldn't go anywhere. Ahh that denver D.
Ty Lawson and Lin are similar in points, assists and TO. Lawson just has one more TO than Lin, but yet Lawson is at -4 and Lin is at -6 differential.
ReplyDeleteLin better bring it for the 2nd half because McHale is very quick to bench him again.
ReplyDeletei agree...i feel so horrible for TD. he truly got the shaft from mchale
Deleteis Harden initiating the offense now or is he passing up shots?
DeleteLin with good defense on Lawson to force a 24 second violation.
ReplyDeleteAsik needs to be aggressive in offence and look for passes from lin, Mchale needs to respect and give his 3 PGs more love and let lin run the floor and guide Beverly and TD. Time to turn around this team, a win against nuggets might restore some of their confidence
ReplyDeleteParsons is having a tough night against Igloo. Parsons with 4 fouls. Looks like Parsons won't be playing much tonight. Time to bring in sausage man.
ReplyDeleteIt's also the Ladies Night promo for the Rockets. Parsons probably is worn out after the meet and greet...
DeleteForgot about the Ladies night out. I don't see many ladies in the stands.
DeleteAgain, decent PnR defense, Lin and Patterson.
ReplyDeleteLol flurry of messy plays but huge block by patterson awesome.
ReplyDeleteHarden with 4 TO's but makes up with a dunk on the other end. Way to equalize and make the coach see that you did nothing wrong.
ReplyDeleteWow they are ALL OVER LIN.
ReplyDeletelike oreos on cream.
Deletewtf 2pat dunking what's the world coming to
ReplyDeleteAsik just set a pick for Lin.
ReplyDeleteThat wasn't quite a pick. He set and then got out of it.
DeleteHouston big men are not good at setting picks. McHale has no clue on how to teach his players to set picks. In his days with Boston he has a bevy of quarky jerky moves to score.
DeleteHey, baby steps! He's moving in the right direction.
DeleteNot a good time to bring this up but i wonder what the deal with TD is. Are they not goona use him for the entire game?I feel bad for him.
ReplyDeleteLooks like he has been move to #3 on the depth chart. Beverly has jumped over him because he hustles, plays D and much taller than TD. Houston coaches are treating TD like toilet paper. Used and throw away. TD definitely needs an explanation from the coaches.
DeleteI hope he just feels like toilet paper and not s&$t!!!not sure which is better than the other.
DeleteWow asik has been ineffective on defense today.
ReplyDeleteSo rude no any play for lin..
ReplyDeleteThey will lose this one again if they will not include him in the game.
2.5 minutes b4 lin subs out
ReplyDeleteLin hasn't look for his shot in the 3rd quarter. He is playing passive again.
ReplyDeleteActually denver playing really good defense.
Deletewhat are they doing.. thats not even good ball movement.
ReplyDeleteLOL I like howe veryone stood there and watch mcgee dunk that on transition
ReplyDeleteHarden with another TO and Denver back up by 9. Somehow I think Lin will be blamed for this and will get the bench.
ReplyDeleteC'mon Lin start jacking up shots!
ReplyDeletebeverly's gonna come in.........
ReplyDeleteLol McGee got elbowed in the neck by harden
ReplyDeleteLol almost feel bad for PB. TO City.
ReplyDeleteGuys, new thread.
ReplyDeleteand gals.
DeleteHaha like clockwork Lin is alway ssubbed out around 2:30-3 mins left in every quarter.
ReplyDeleteThey couldn't make a defensive stop. Lin not doing bad but gawd Harden/2pat/smith/Delfino is AWFUL.
Fire mchale?
ReplyDeleteUmmmm...no Idea what the hell is mchale is doing...are they testing the idea if the team can play without Lin so they can trade him?
ReplyDeleteWhy not let lin in and sit down harden the rest of the game??
ReplyDelete
