NBA.TV pre-game gave JLin no respect for his role in the running style of Rockets. While Harden is proving to be a superstar, he could not trigger the fast break identiy they have creates. Remember G. Anthony is ex-Knick.
i don't get it. If lin is an important player to them, what's the point of pulling him out that quickly after a bad mistake. Seriously. Give him some leeway to play through his errors. If he playing bad for a quarter, then okay, pull him out, but it just shows you the confidence they have in lin. I still don't think they have a lot of confidence in him.
relax guys, coaches did something sas ot game, lin came back dumping 38 points. I would be surprised if lin isn't off bench 2nd quarter... mchale wants him to be aggressive
i don't care what the reasoning is, who benches their supposed top players like this? So ticky tacky. If he was playing horrible horrible, then maybe, but seriously? After little mistakes like that? Shows no confidence....on a string like a backup 3rd stringer....
These type of games where he pulls him out ruins his confidence. Totally lame. This is motivating me to get rich so I can buy a team and get a great coach for LIn.
The truth is Lin is playing like crap. We can blame the coaches for taking him out but when he is playing like a pussy he deserves to be bench. Td is not that good but he plays with the attitude that he doesn't care.
Lin is more effective when he is playing PG on top of the key with the pick and roll. But his role now is to pass the ball to Harden top of the key & run into the corner. Mostly just watch his teammates jacking up shot after shot.
He sees Lin giving hugs to D'Antoni and felt he didn't get a hug from Lin after he did Lin a favor and give him 40+ min in the past couple of games. I will fix that Asian whipping boy quick.
Jeremy Lin, Houston Rockets starting point guard role is to bring the ball half court and to pass it out right away. Toney Douglas, Houston Rockets backup point guard role = Primary point guard who handles the rock freely without Harden constantly asking for the ball. #McHaleLogic
btw..i love nash....true definition of point guard. okay his d isin't great, but everything else is golden...shot, passing, vision, unselfishness, court awarness, team player, etc...hope that lin can model his game after nash, though his shot prob wont ever touch nashs..but lin's d is already better and can improve
I love Nash too, and Lakers is my team. for this game though, I'm leaning towards Jeremy and the Rockets more than the Lakers. Nash is schooling my boy how to effectively run PnRs.
well the ISo Harden is working but really i dont want to see a shoot out between Kobe and Harden. Its going to be boring. I hope those two gets tired or something and then maybe we could see more passing and ball movement.
Damn, Nash is schooling JLin big time. Can't really blame JLin though. Look at all those pick and rolls Nash is running. JLin isn't getting any. Nash has pretty effective fade away. C'Mon J Money, pick it in the 2nd half.
Delfino has a +/- of 186 so far this year and he's only played in 26 games (including this one). That's ridiculous, and by far the highest on the team. Parsons (whom he subs in for) has a +/- of -14 in 34 games.
Iike that i will ..take off my uniform and say good night to all... Everyone knows the feeling of being benced. Specially when you know that you can contribute in the game ..
Lin looks hesitant to me because Lakers are getting back in transition and loading up on him in half court, giving him different looks early in the lane, 2 or 3 defenders staring at him. I look for McHale to get Lin looks later in shot clock to create in the second half.
I think JLin is hesitant because he got confused reading the chaotic game on defense and offense instead of playing with instinct. As a result, I think his decision making wasn't sharp. Threading the need to Delfino that resulted in a TO. Taking it to the hoop when there's was too much traffic and forced a bad shot. A long pass to TD when there were two taller defender around him. I think JLin just to clear his mind right now and play calm in the 2nd half.
He needs to, Lin had a brain fart, you simply can't play like you don't care, he could have attacked he was WIDE OPEN instead he deferred and passed it to a WELL GUARDED MORRIS.
Nash 6/8 0 TO, Lin 2/4 5 TO, yes I know Lakers set much better picks but its obvious who's winning this fight. I hate to say this but he's playing like a groupie in front of his idol.
anyone got the weblink.

DeleteNo love from Greg Anthony for Houston. Didn't even mention Lin as a factor to beat the Lakers. At least C. Webb mentioned Lin in one sentence.
ReplyDeleteNBA.TV pre-game gave JLin no respect for his role in the running style of Rockets. While Harden is proving to be a superstar, he could not trigger the fast break identiy they have creates. Remember G. Anthony is ex-Knick.
DeleteGreat point RioFan! Greg Anthony is a company man for the Knicks.
DeleteCWebb has liked Lin since watching him in the NBA Summer League game vs John Wall.
Good Luck Jeremy!
ReplyDeleteNice touch by Jlin--always heartfelt hug for both D'antoni brothers
ReplyDeleteJlin dish to corner--Harden side of blackboard...ok, then.
ReplyDeleteexcellent steal by Jeremy!
ReplyDeleteMcHale was hot in that timeout
ReplyDeletebad TO by Jlin after watching Parsons herky jerky to nowhere
ReplyDeletelol TD PnR to Asik who thinks he is magic johnson, sends patterson out of balance leads to wild play and ends up with Harden brick
ReplyDeleteMcHale was quick to pull Morris and Lin. Really, Lin is the problem and that is why you are benching him within 5 minutes of the game?
ReplyDeletei don't get it.
DeleteSending the team a message again
Deleteyeah, pick on the asian kid. easy target. let's see him try that on harden.
DeleteHouston always starts slow against the Lakers its almost weird. Well as long as they win.
ReplyDeleteThey're always slow at the beginning against any team...it's weird.
Deletedamn jlin benched and not even 5 minutes yet da fuq stupid ass coaches
ReplyDeleteno box out by HOU--Kobe a guard and d leaguer C clowning asik
ReplyDeleteHorrible interior D after nash penetration
ReplyDeleteHarden lets man fly by for another interior D collapse.
ReplyDeleteTD bad TO x2 but still in the game. *Sampson alert* on
ReplyDeleteLame coaches. Lin will be rested and will shine.
ReplyDeletenow Jodie Meeks takes advantage of HOU tweener front court
ReplyDeletecan't believe they took jlin out, completely out of syn right now
ReplyDeleterelax guys, coaches did something sas ot game, lin came back dumping 38 points. I would be surprised if lin isn't off bench 2nd quarter... mchale wants him to be aggressive
DeleteJames Harden is 1 for 6 and still have a free pass to do what he wants. Let a couple of players blow by him.
ReplyDeletethey need to put Lin back. They look lost in there.
ReplyDeleteTD airball pass to patterson? haha, let me take off my Sampson goggles
ReplyDeletei hope we lose this game badly if jlin gets abused. Friggin wide open air ball by TD...
ReplyDeleteanother three right in face of TD. Whipping boy Lin still on bench.
ReplyDeleteAt least bearded man takes advantage of stat stuffing by feeding Delfino
Sausage man. He probably ate some Texan sausage.
ReplyDeleteIs McHale and Sampson sending Lin a message by telling him to either stop turning the ball over and pass the ball to Harden or be benched?
ReplyDelete:) loaded question.
DeleteC'mon...
It's a gun with one bullet. Who is going to be the first to pull the trigger.
DeleteLin should be in with TD to start the 2nd quarter and Harden should be on the bench now resting.
ReplyDeletePut Lin back in the game immediately unless he is hurt! This is bs! He gets one turnover and gets taken out? Unbelievable!
ReplyDeleteDelfino fell asleep watching Jlin D up a C
ReplyDeleteEverybody ISO by HOU leads to wild shot by Favorite Son. No set plays
ReplyDeleteJlin risky pass leads to TO
ReplyDeleteFinally Jeremy--you're the highest paid player on the court for the Rockets.
ReplyDeleteStop feeding Delfino with entry passes!!
but Lin takes a hit on the drive- hopefully it's nothing
DeleteNeeds to learn from bearded man--Delfino feed him behind the three point arc--not when he wants to post up.
DeleteIntelligent stat stuffing!
Jeremy works nicely with Parsons. Those two pass the ball to each other well.
ReplyDeleteIf Jeremy scores more than TD or Harden then McHale is going to insert Harden back into the game and sit Lin.
ReplyDeleteIf Lin gets to playoffs healthy. Watch out. He will dominate.
ReplyDeleteJeremy will be fine, he needs to stay aggressive
ReplyDeleteWorld Peace just punishing whoever is defending him
ReplyDeleteNo Sacresanity tonight!
ReplyDeleteJlin TO trying to thread needle to Delfino...down in the paint
ReplyDeleteToo much trust by Jlin
See Delfino--he is behind the arc expert, not post/paint!
YES!! intelligent stat stuffing!
ReplyDeleteJlin with assist
There you go, exploit the sausage man by feeding him behind the arc. You know he wanted to put the ball through the hole like making sausage.
ReplyDeleteThat was a nice ast... Jeremy had 3 people staring at him, made the easy play to tie the game
DeleteHarden was raising his hands on the other side of the arc. Lin went straight to sausage man instead of the beard.
DeleteDelfino is hot, D'Antoni is probably salivating. He wants that kind of player.
ReplyDeleteI'm really liking Delfino behind the arc these days.
ReplyDeleteJeremy seems really passive on the offense end. We know he can play a lot better than he has.
ReplyDeletelol, world peace abusing delfino not in the the paint but behind the arc too
ReplyDeleteanother spin o rama takes on two hou players. Kobe laughing at interior D of HOU
ReplyDeleteHarden is such a ball hogging a55.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand lins role
ReplyDeleteRight.. poor jlin.. y do those coaches treat him as such!
Deleteme too but then again seems everyone wants a piece of that ball. Maybe Kobe bryant is rubbing off to them especially on harden.
DeleteI agreed! PG or SG or everyone for himself.
DeleteWhy is Lin on bench again? Makes absolutely no sense.
ReplyDeleteBecause he drove and missed the shot instead of passing to Harden who will miss the shot. There is a difference.
DeleteTD having no luck stopping Nash either, Lin will be back soon
Deletei don't care what the reasoning is, who benches their supposed top players like this? So ticky tacky. If he was playing horrible horrible, then maybe, but seriously? After little mistakes like that? Shows no confidence....on a string like a backup 3rd stringer....
DeleteThese type of games where he pulls him out ruins his confidence. Totally lame. This is motivating me to get rich so I can buy a team and get a great coach for LIn.
DeleteHe deserve to be bench. He defers too much and doesn't seem to be interested in attacking and shoot.
DeleteMcHale making mistake subbing JL with TD.... TD getting lit up defensively in half court and in transition.
DeleteLin makes one mistake, and he's benched. Douglas gets burned by Nash on defense ... and he's still very much in the game.
DeleteThe truth is Lin is playing like crap. We can blame the coaches for taking him out but when he is playing like a pussy he deserves to be bench. Td is not that good but he plays with the attitude that he doesn't care.
Deletebut that's what lin did....to get subbed out...he tried to attack and threw up a hard shot and missed..got yanked...??
DeleteLin is more effective when he is playing PG on top of the key with the pick and roll. But his role now is to pass the ball to Harden top of the key & run into the corner. Mostly just watch his teammates jacking up shot after shot.
Delete@fc701:
DeleteWhy is Lin playing like crap? Please elaborate!
Upsetting
ReplyDeleteNice D by the Rockets to let Nash go in for the easy layup.
ReplyDeleteTD having more mins than our boy jlin.. lol..
ReplyDeleteI don't know too laugh or yell....
DeleteMcHale thinks Lin is playing favoritism by giving the Lakers the ball three times and not being aggressive. McHale is a scorn lover.
ReplyDeleteHe sees Lin giving hugs to D'Antoni and felt he didn't get a hug from Lin after he did Lin a favor and give him 40+ min in the past couple of games. I will fix that Asian whipping boy quick.
Deletewow.. what a lousy 2 quarters for Rockets.
ReplyDeleteWow, just joined in, garbage stats, is Lin passive again?
ReplyDeleteHe was only allowed to play 13 minutes - so - yes!
DeleteDang, I'm not impressed.
ReplyDeleteJeremy Lin, Houston Rockets starting point guard role is to bring the ball half court and to pass it out right away.
ReplyDeleteToney Douglas, Houston Rockets backup point guard role = Primary point guard who handles the rock freely without Harden constantly asking for the ball.
#McHaleLogic
You are right! William. JLin role right now is very confusing to me. PG one minute & who knows the next.
DeleteI realized his questionable role happens when they vs the big teams like Thunders, Spurs and Lakers.
DeleteAt least Nash's 10,000 assist didn't come against Lin
ReplyDeleteNash slaughtering Rockets D for an easy lay-up and assist
ReplyDeletebtw..i love nash....true definition of point guard. okay his d isin't great, but everything else is golden...shot, passing, vision, unselfishness, court awarness, team player, etc...hope that lin can model his game after nash, though his shot prob wont ever touch nashs..but lin's d is already better and can improve
Deletewell its nash.

Deletewell the ISo Harden is working but really i dont want to see a shoot out between Kobe and Harden. Its going to be boring. I hope those two gets tired or something and then maybe we could see more passing and ball movement.
ReplyDeleteboring game with tons of ISOs
DeleteDamn, Nash is schooling JLin big time. Can't really blame JLin though. Look at all those pick and rolls Nash is running. JLin isn't getting any. Nash has pretty effective fade away. C'Mon J Money, pick it in the 2nd half.
ReplyDeleteNot schooling JLin as in a 1-on-1, but his composure and basically doing all the right things at the right time.
DeleteHis role is defined. His team lets him play Nash-ball. Take Nash out - put Lin in -> same beauty!
DeleteAgree willydilly.
DeleteLin has confidence issue, if his first shots doesn't go in, he usually stop shooting and playing timidly.
ReplyDeleteHe was 7-13 and 3-5 against cleveland and he wasnt hot from the beginning.
DeleteI'm fascinated with Delfino.
ReplyDeleteDelfino has a +/- of 186 so far this year and he's only played in 26 games (including this one). That's ridiculous, and by far the highest on the team. Parsons (whom he subs in for) has a +/- of -14 in 34 games.
Iike that i will ..take off my uniform and say good night to all...

..
Lin looks hesitant to me because Lakers are getting back in transition and loading up on him in half court, giving him different looks early in the lane, 2 or 3 defenders staring at him. I look for McHale to get Lin looks later in shot clock to create in the second half.
ReplyDeleteLin think himself as a scrub, that's why he even deferred to TD.
ReplyDeleteLin with his servant mentality. SIGH
ReplyDeletewhat are you talking about??
DeleteMust be full moon tonight, the TROL-LIN IS STRONG TONGHT...
ReplyDeletemaybe its the NBA TV.
DeleteI think JLin is hesitant because he got confused reading the chaotic game on defense and offense instead of playing with instinct. As a result, I think his decision making wasn't sharp. ReplyDeleteYeah, I think once he gets a chance to look at tape during halftime, he'll make adjustments.
DeleteNice picks for Nash, Lin is having problems getting around to defend Nash.
ReplyDeleteAbout time! Go Lin!
ReplyDeleteLin for 3!
ReplyDeleteWow Morris playing D...wtf is going on?!
ReplyDeleteLol that was a lame TO...Lin omg man Metta was ALL OVER MORRIS FIND SOMEONE ELSE!
ReplyDeletestupid TO
DeleteDamn. McHale going off on Lin. This is not good.
ReplyDeleteLin need to WTF up and stop playing like he is scared to be benched.
DeleteWho's fault for that TO? Morris or Lin?
DeleteHe needs to, Lin had a brain fart, you simply can't play like you don't care, he could have attacked he was WIDE OPEN instead he deferred and passed it to a WELL GUARDED MORRIS.
DeleteNash 6/8 0 TO, Lin 2/4 5 TO, yes I know Lakers set much better picks but its obvious who's winning this fight. I hate to say this but he's playing like a groupie in front of his idol.
Surprised McHale didn't bench Lin.
DeleteI know right?
DeleteTonight I don't blame Harden going ISO.
Lin is just meh...At least He's being allowed to play through.
And got faked easily...Lol he is playing like he smoked pot for the first time.
Deletelol thats the dumbest pass i've seen
ReplyDeleteLin trying to force it to Morris, TO.
ReplyDeleteUgh. I can't think of any positive things to say. Somebody help me out.
ReplyDeleteHe's turning it over like crazy.
ReplyDeleteThe paint is wide open.
ReplyDeletePut Greg Smith in now.
Lakers has no big man, yet they are tied in rebounds and Lakers are up in offensive rebounds.
I think Lin is throwing this game to return the favor for his former coach D'Antoni.
ReplyDeleteSimply put, Lin's decision-making has been terrible. I can't blame the coaches for sitting him.
ReplyDeleteNash is schooling Lin.
ReplyDeletejeremy needs to pull his act together or this is going to be an ugly night. And i like Nash but the Hair.
ReplyDeleteopposite here, I like Nash's hair..
DeleteAs the Houston announcers said it. Nashty is schooling Lin. He has a whole school of people he schooled.
ReplyDeleteAttack and draw fouls...Reset yer game Lin its horrible atm!
ReplyDeleteAnd out he goes...
ReplyDeleteguys, new thread.
ReplyDeleteDamn. McHale going off on Lin. This is not good.
