    1. Harden was looking him off..prefers to pass to Morris or Parsons playing percentages....

    2. Jeremy sets up others but no one sets up Jeremy.

  2. LOL Harden complaining he didn't get the ball on Asik's 3 point play. Lin explaining there was a pending double team. Harden not happy even when the play results in a score where he feels Lin looked him off...this team has bubbling chemistry issues since there is no defined pecking order and these guys are all still proving themselves...

    1. Yeah... something not right with this team, even though they're doing well. Somehow they just don't seem happy for each other when someone makes a great play.

  3. Harden just got beat by his man to the hole. Harden didn't even put his hands up and just let his man pass him.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Harden didn't even bother to pass on the fast break and instead chose to take a contested 3 pointer.

  5. Announcers are on Harden's sack big time. SMH

    1. none of them took responsibility for Harden getting blown by Vasquez for his first 2 its of the game...

  6. ladies and gents, this is the true offense of the rockets. harden the scorer, ball handler and playmaker. sg and pg for life!

  7. Lin and Harden are both capable of leading this team in their own unique styles. Both require the ball a lot...that much is obvious. And they do cramp each other style's as there is only 1 ball...that's why this game is such a struggle aside from blown layups, avg. shooting, and forced passing or lack thereof.

Lin has his legs back finally. He is at least 90% there now. Good to see.

    1. Yeah, he hit the floor hard and is heading back to the locker with the trainer.

      Delete
    2. Not a good camera angle but seems like he got shoved in the back?

      Delete
    3. If Lin had elite jumping ability, he would be too good. I agree he doesn't finish at a high enough clip. Lin use to jump higher in college but he's lost his vertical some...maybe the knees...I hope he can do a ton of plyometrics in the summer to improve it or perfect a killer floater.

  9. Harden got an assist on a pass Jeremy made...hmm.

Jeremy playing All-NBA defense, but looks gassed on offense.

    1. Game best +13...outstanding. Would have 8+ assists on any other NBA team.

      Delete
    2. Yes, that's not the first time Lin did not get credit for an assist or steal this year.

This time, it was on the pass to Asik that lead to the and-1 bucket

  10. I'm a little nervous. Don't like seeing Lin go back to locker room.

  11. Again with the stupid quick shot from Harden in the 2 for 1. He never makes those shots.

  13. Its the great Lin. Owns Vasquez, holding him to 0.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Actually he held him to 2 points. Then Vasquez went off on TD and Harden. He now has 15 points, 12 assists and 2 TO. He already got a double double before Lin.

    2. I know its so apparent...whats more moronic is that the coaches choose to be ignorant to it

      Delete
    3. GREAT adjustment by NOH coaching staff.

Vazquez was getting ZILCH against Lin.

So they switched Harden and Douglas onto him and Grevis heat up.

  14. Can somebody not name JLin play some D, please?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No. Because it doesn't show up in the stats.

      Delete
    2. He's like a one man playing D vs 3. Play his man, play the man set a screen on him, and playing D on the trailing man. Damm...

      Delete
    3. Man - they have turned JLin into fulltime D player :)

      Delete
  15. Wow - just noticing Delfino is 1/6 and 0/4.

  16. Lin looks slightly hobbled. Maybe I'm just watching too closely. Hope he is ok.

  17. Listening to the Rockets announcers is like listening to a bad broken record. They are on Harden nuts all night long and TD nuts when TD is in.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I always thought Clyde the Glide was a smart savvy smooth guy. He has destroyed those misconceptions as I've had the displeasure of listening to him on the Rox color commentary.

  20. Jeremy Lin has the highest +/- in the game so far. He is at +11. Doing the little things to get the positive affect.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Omg, seriously i'm going to kill that dumb ass delfuckingfino. You all see that? He didn't even want to give Lin the ball to reset? Wtf is his f'ing problem? Arghhhh

    1. Don't blame Delfino...he just has terrible court vision. LOL. Seriously, he can make some nice passes in the paint, but he does not see the floor at all. His job is to be the tunnel-vision gunner.

  22. a good 3! finally. we just need to rotate the ball more! Hornets are doing superb job on defense.

    2. If coaches listen to fans then they may be fired a long time ago. Fans tend to be biased and not as objective. They don't know what goes on behind closed doors and during practices.

      Delete
  25. Is it just me or is there very little camaraderie on this team? Serious question. I know it's unfair to compare to Linsanity Knicks but still... :| They just don't seem very happy for each other.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah. They are all mostly ball hogs except Morris, Asik, Smith and of course Jlin.

      Delete
    2. Very good point, feeling the players were frustrated.

or they could just be upset about not having another blow-up game.

      Delete
    3. very true, but blame the coach he is inducing this mind set in the players.

even though they won, harden has the ball to many times its unreal

      Delete
    4. It's not just you. Notice how everyone were genuinely rooting fore each other last year on the Knicks during Linsanity.

  26. JL, is playing more defense today, and probably he is drained in that D

    1. 41 minutes fulltime D. JLin will be able to run marathons soon :)

  27. Lin is quietly having a very nice game despite poor shooting. He is just one of those players that wins.

    1. I just ask myself - would Rox have won this game without Lins fulltime d? Nope -> best man tonight!

    2. Lin has +17 while Harden got +13 tonight.

    3. Don't forget Jeremy has been shooting GREAT lately.

I saw a stat the other day that said he was in the Top 20 for TS% in the past ten games or something...even with his poor 3pt shooting.

He was due for a cold shooting day...but BROUGHT IT in every other area. That's why McHale kept playing him even though he was sore from hitting the floor.

      Delete
    4. yep, if you watched the game, lin was probably the most important player...stats don't show it, but he made lots of smart moves. great passes, again, should have had like 10-11 assists if others made shots, didn't force anything except that one turnover in the beginning, excellent d, etc...

in reality, he was like 3/6...2 were like in and out..and 1 was a last second shot...

great game....lin isn't a guy that needs to put 20 plus to beat you..he can beat you anyway...scoring, d, passing, etc...

      Delete
    5. Agreed. He made the biggest impact overall. Those timely assists when the Hornets got hot in the 4th put the fire out.

      Delete
  28. Jeremy had a VERY GOOD game. Did everything great but hit shots.

Amazing defense. Amazing passes (should have had 11+ assists). Superb rebounding.

All he does is WIN. Don't worry, guys. He'll get his stats in time...he's already doing so much better for the past month.

  29. overall, I think, we didnt rotate the ball well, and the players had been taking unprecedented shots, instead or rotating and being a little patience.

JL did job mainly his job in defense, Big time! Its like 75-80% of his effort today was in D.

the rest of the players had bad shooting, and missing layups! this also had caused missing assist for Jeremy.

JH got his points, but, I would say his shooting was average, with alot of unnecessary forced shot.

    ReplyDelete
  30. What a boring game... I hate it when harden hogs the ball, it takes away a lot of momentum from the team. What I hate about J.Lin's game is that he tends to be passive at times..

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Two times when Harden was hogging the ball and brick, the announcers say "this wasn't a good possession for the Rockets."

      Delete
  31. No matter what! If lin is on the floor, they can win!

    ReplyDelete
  32. you guys are haters. harden had it going, and he carried the team when he needed to.

jlin had a great all round game. defense, rebounds, assists, and timely baskets. the houston commentators give him props, especially matt bullard and clyde drexler.

i'm really liking the rotation so far...put in TD late first quarter, and then play both TD and jlin while harden rests. recently jlin has been finishing games which is nice.

    ReplyDelete
  33. It bothers me that Jeremy's wear and tear level is so high. He gets hit almost every time he takes the ball to the hole this game. And, yes, Jeremy's defense is awesome, but it's too tiring to be the only person playing this high level of defense during the entire game.

I'd like to see this line up more often:

    Greg Smith - PF/C
    Patrick Patterson - PF
    J Lin - PG
    TD - SG
    C Parson - SF

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. This is a good lineup. I like Marcus Morris even more. Hes a better finisher usually for Lin. Seems less selfish. I am still worried about Jlins left knee or leg. He was definitely hobbling at the end. I am praying for only a hip pointer and not a knee problem.

      Delete
    2. I only chose Parsons over Morris because Parsons is faster. Smith, Patterson AND Morris just seems like a slower line up. Otherwise, I like Morris more than Parsons too.

      Delete
    3. Kind of a tossup to me, both Morris and Patterson have great chemistry with Lin.

He needs to keep shooting...Yep totally agree that he shouldn't keep getting banged up.

  34. All I'm saying is... LET JEREMY LIN BE THE DAMN POINT GUARD AND GIVE HIM THE DAMN BALL JAMES!!! Because whether J.Lin plays bad or not, he's still destined to make it to the ALL-STAR game whether he gets his stats or not :)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Also - JHs effiency goes way up if JLin has the ball...

      Delete
    2. I don't know what to think of Harden at times... but sometimes I sense that he lets him being a "STAR" in Houston get into his head. His life would've been simpler if he just plays SG and SCORE the damn ball and let J.Lin be the FACILITATOR!

      Delete
    3. Willy,

      That is McHale's job.

      Delete
    4. I meant to say that is Mchale's job, but he is not doing it because this is a superstar league. I am sorry, but Harden is not a superstar. I will change my mind when he starting playing good defense.

      Delete
  35. Today's game showed why Lin is such a tremendous asset to Rockets. His defence is determined and strong and the shooter often misses. If you've got League Pass watch TD getting totally smashed during the PNR's (compared to Lin who floats around them) and which let the shooter drain 4 shots straight.

Lin's lateral awareness makes him a good defender as well as a great no-look passer.

  37. Total garbage win. Was hoping NOH would win just to teach Rox to slack off against weak teams.

Maybe they intentionally played this way. I don't know. Harden was garbage. Stupid Kobe wannabe letting everyone and their grandmother to get past him.

Lin however was great on D. Not sure why he missed layups and forced a couple shots, but he otherwise had a very clean game.

Not surprised about Delfino's shooting, he's streaky at best.

Boring game to watch today. They really need more movement offball, except for Lin everyone else just stands there looking at the ball handler. Wtf.

    1. Lin got injured or reinsured his surgically repaired knee when he got hit on that layup. see 2:15 mark. That's why he looked slower when he came back. I hope it's not serious.

    2. No neg news so far...[hopefully none.]

  39. Harden wasn't selfish when he was with the Thunder. I think one of the main reasons he wants his stats is because under his new contract, Morey put a two or three stipulations and one of them is that Harden has to make the All-Star. His $80m contract is not fully guarantee unless he meets all the stipulations.

I don't have a problem with Douglas trying to pad his stats because his future depends on it. He is a good person and did genuinely root for Lin in NY (even though Lin took away his job). He was so bad last year, in the preseason and early in the season (until his dad took over for McHale and gave him more minutes by benching Lin) that many thought he will be out of the league after this year.

I like Lin getting more minutes, but not this much. I wish McHale would have some common sense by using his players properly. Lin should only be playing 38 minutes max. I guess it should that he is respecting Lin defense skill.

One more thing I want to say is that the more Lin playing better offensively and especially defensively, it going to make Sampson look really stupid. It was his idea to change it to iso Harden when McHale was gone and bench Lin. Like I said previously I don't have a problem with Mchale character, but I do with Sampson. I think he is not happy the fact that team ball is winning and Lin is playing so well defensively. It does make him look stupid.

    1. "...The last year of Harden's five-year, $79 million contract with the Rockets is only 50 percent guaranteed. That means Harden, who passed on a four-year offer from the Thunder that topped out at $55 million, is guaranteed to earn $69.7 million from Houston during the next 5 seasons...Harden almost certainly will hit one of the benchmarks specified in the contract to guarantee the rest of his 2017-18 salary and collect the full $79 million. All he has to do is make one All-Star team in a 4-season span from 2013-14 through 2016-17 to double his take in Year 5...There are other incentive clauses in the contract, based on postseason advancement and statistical benchmarks, that also can make Harden's $17.8 million salary in 2017-18 fully guaranteed."

  40. 41 minutes of superb D...

but does anyone else other than us appreciate his contribution?
I suspect even coach M won't mention a word about Lin again in his post game interview. Sign...

BTW, OKC vs Nets: 93 - 110, hmmm...

    1. I don't care if Mchale praises Lin vocabulary, just as long as he does with his actions. He did tonight by playing him too many minutes. When he was in NY, he never watched BSPN because he didn't want to feel complacent.

      Delete
    2. They failed to mention JLin contribution on the houston rockets fan page...WHY?

    3. I meant verbally and not vocabulary.

    4. DWill had a JLin-like game (haha the irony), and Joe Johnson was scoring everywhere. They were ahead 23-9 with 5min left in 1Q and OKC never recovered. Funny thing is, I was hoping DWill would flop a bit more on a couple of westbrook's charges and WB would have TO'd few more times.

KD/WB with 11 TOs between the two, maybe they decided to imitate Rox backcourt lol (yes yes I know KD != guard), 19 to 12 TOs, Nets drawing 2x the fouls on OKC, a hot Joe Johnson/Williams/Lopez combined to make OKC look like scrubs, even with DWill forcing shots left and right. I mean good spacing, good defense, lots of off ball movement, I hate to say this but it was a good game to watch, although the pace is just dog slow.

Good game for DWill, a reminder of just why he is an elite PG...It was funny watching him fake out Westbrook over and over, and his PnR defense was just on.

Was just watching the loss vs SAS last night, Nets all but gave up in 3Q, not sure what lit the fire in their collective arses.

Ibaka just couldn't be stopped tho, but even with him dominating the post (5 blocks lol) on both ends, OKC never got closer than 12 all game.

  41. My wish for the Knicks when Jeremy was there was for them to trade Carmelo Anthony for Kevin Love...

My wish for the Rockets now is for them to trade James Harden for Kevin Love...

    just a fantasy :)

    1. On Kevin Love~

Minny fan: Kevin Love's attitude seems really bad this year and we seem to play better without him. Any chance of trading him?

Chad Ford: Probably not. He's so good, the Wolves want to make a major splash in the playoffs and they couldn't get equal value in return. However, it's probably in their best interest to trade him now. He wants out and will likely bolt the team when he can opt out of his contract. The longer the Wolves wait, the harder it is for them to get value in return. That's been proven over and over again in the NBA.

    1. Never mind. I found out.

Anyway, good to get a win even though it was not pretty. But every win is important because so many teams are at the Rockets level. Utah, Denver, Portland, Golden State, and Memphis, and Minnesota and Los Ageles.
