5 games in 7 nights. Let's see what the Rockets are made of when they have back to back game tonight against the Clippers and tomorrow night against the Mavericks.
We won't know who made it to the All Star Game until the 17th when they will announce the starters and then a couple days later they will announce the back ups. Voting ended yesterday and I have been voting everyday for Lin. I doubt it will make a difference if we don't have China behind Lin. Hopefully Taiwan, Korea and Philippines will vote for Lin. PPat is back in the starting line up tonight instead of Marcus Morris.
One track mind, trying to pass to Harden. He should bring the ball up before passing. I agree that that was a dumb pass. Jordan guy is going to have a field day. Just too athletic for Rockets, period.
I guess somehow it's Lin's fault that Houston big men are dominated by the Clippers athletic big men. Lin would average at least 5 more assits per game if he played with Griffin and Jordan.
Actually it's 7 points since Crawford scored an and one. Harden's 3 turnovers already gave away 7 points. But since he scored 12 points, he's a superstar!
Keep in mind they're playing a tired Clipper...Gives them an edge, esp since CP3 isn't around. I hope they pull off a win, but Clippers is never short on talent.
Nice give and go from Lin to Douglas after Douglas took the ball in the back court and passed it to Lin. It could have been a 3 point play, but Douglas missed the FT.
lol at you people here, if im just gonna read ur comments and not watch the game you sounded like the Clippers are kicking the Rockets ass and in some kind of double digit deficit.
When you can't set a pick it means you don't know how to play fundamental bball. Just like making FT's. Come on, you have plenty of practice time to shoot FT's and you still can't make it. Embarrassing.
Where's the aggressive Lin? Oh, that's right, Harden is in the game with him. He needs to go to deferred mode again. Somebody phone Lin's mom and tell her to yell at her son. She needs to give her a piece of her mind about being subservient to others.
The corner 3 pointer zone is very small, less than 3 feet wide I think. If he backs up too much, he will be standing out of bounds. He faked a pass to get the defender off him, I don't think he was thinking about where his feet were.
They ran interference in the paint, caught Jlin looking to help, and Crawford popped free, Jlin ran out and fouled him. Live n Learn--but it was good play design by Clippers
Good pace once again but missed shot so no assist by Jlin. Previous play, Jlin wanted Asik to be aware of him funneling the PG, but Parsons had poor rotation when Clippers PG passed off in the paint.
Do not worry. The coaching staffs are learning too. If they do not adjust right, they fail. So goes the Rocket. Then, the coaching staffs will be replaced again.
Bledsoe is quick and he can hit the jumper if you back off on him, so yeah he's hard to guard one on one. The real question is ... why isn't any Rocket player helping on defense or stopping his man from cutting into the lane ?
Good fight for offensive board, hounds bledsoe into awkward penetration and Jlin stalls him. Bledsoe makes a corner 3 in his face with time running out. oh well, he made a great shot with good d
Houston tends to shoot themselves back into the game when they are falling behind instead of attacking the basket. Harden, Parsons, Delfino, Patterson, etc. Got to stay aggressive and make the better percentage shot.
That's because Lin missed the layup and fell to the floor and couldn't get back in time to see Harden leave his man in the corner for a 3. Totally Lin's fault.
Game over. Rockets have no defense and can't stop Bledsoe, Green, Jordan and Griffin from scoring. Just shooting from the outside is not going to bail you out ala Harden.
He subbed Delfino in hoping the sausage man will hit threes to get the Rockets back in the game. Again, no defense from defenseless Harden and Green blows by him. Harden had to foul him. Luckily it wasn't an and 1.
The game was mostly even, until the Rockets became a 3-point brick machine to start the 2nd half. They are 6 of 23 from the arc. Clippers making them pay every time they missed a 3 and got the long rebound.
Actually Houston is playing better once without Harden and Asik, but not without Lin. Lin hardly got any touches in the 2nd half and did nothing wrong but he's made the scapegoat anyway because Harden gave up yet another season high to his opposing SG. If McHale dare sub Harden instead of Lin in the 6 min mark, the Rockets might have had a chance, but obviously McHale doesn't have the guts.
Simply put, Rockets in terms of quickness and athleticism, cannot hang with Clippers for 4 quarters. Clippers' second unit can beat Rockets' first unit. And that's without a savvy player like CP3 playing.
Chandler is getting the right idea. Take it to the hole and create havoc. Don't just settle for the 3 point shot. There is plenty of time to get back into the game. You're only down by 13 now.
McHale can't blame Lin for the horrible defense once he sat Lin for Delfino. Harden didn't even both to D up his man. I am sure he will be praised after the game or Lin will be made scapegoat after the loss.
5 games in 7 nights. Let's see what the Rockets are made of when they have back to back game tonight against the Clippers and tomorrow night against the Mavericks.
ReplyDeleteLet's win this game Jeremy! Let's go Rockets!
ReplyDeleteWe won't know who made it to the All Star Game until the 17th when they will announce the starters and then a couple days later they will announce the back ups. Voting ended yesterday and I have been voting everyday for Lin. I doubt it will make a difference if we don't have China behind Lin. Hopefully Taiwan, Korea and Philippines will vote for Lin. PPat is back in the starting line up tonight instead of Marcus Morris.
ReplyDeleteNo CP3 tonight. Knee contusion.
DeleteGood Luck Jeremy!
ReplyDeleteNice help out D against Jordan from Lin. Good heads up play. Harden shot the first 3 and continues to shoot it up but missed the second one.
ReplyDeleteI guess Patterson got his job back.
ReplyDeleteHarden got picked already lol...
Of course Asik can't finish...
ReplyDeleteWow that trey was WAY short you know it was going to brick soon as Lin shot it..
ReplyDeleteOh come on what's with that lazy ass lob...Its the dreaded 1Q for Lin I guess.
ReplyDeleteHe didn't get a TO for that. How is that possible?
DeleteThat was indeed a bad one :(
DeleteHey - didnt Lin block a shot? I dont see it in the boxscore
He didn't block it, he just touched the ball and deterred the ball from going to the basket.
DeleteNo clue, scorekeepers sleeping on the job again no TO or BA for Lin yet.
DeleteOne track mind, trying to pass to Harden. He should bring the ball up before passing. I agree that that was a dumb pass. Jordan guy is going to have a field day. Just too athletic for Rockets, period.
DeleteEr meant BS
DeleteOh I thought he blocked it. I should be paying more attention :) Im cooking right now
DeleteThey have no way to stop Jordan...
ReplyDeleteDoesn't look like Lin is aggressive in the 1st. He is already deferring to other players, especially to Harden.
ReplyDeleteClippers set such great picks...
ReplyDeleteLin needs to score before the 3 or 4 minute mark because he will be subbed in for Douglas.
ReplyDeleteLin scored his 2 points. Now McHale can sub Tony in soon.
DeleteNo assist for Lin again because Asik can't dunk the ball and tried to finest it into the basket. Sad, sad, sad.
ReplyDeleteYet another robbed assist...LOL ASIK DUNK IT!
ReplyDeleteWBCD = White Boy Can't Dunk!
DeleteI thought when Bledsoe scored it was a moving pick on Blake and yet no call from the ref.
ReplyDeleteHarden saved that one, Lin is REALLY pushing those lazy passes got tipped almost TO.
ReplyDeleteI guess somehow it's Lin's fault that Houston big men are dominated by the Clippers athletic big men. Lin would average at least 5 more assits per game if he played with Griffin and Jordan.
ReplyDeleteHehe no doubt, he'd at least have Rondo like assists.
DeleteLol wow Asik nice pass to Blake Griffin.
ReplyDeleteAnd Lin scores off a goaltend :D
ReplyDeleteHarden has 2 TO so far, but who is counting.
ReplyDeleteWhat an idiot, he committed another TO by charging instead of passing to the wing man. He tried to euro step his way into a foul.
DeleteHaha Grant Hill was like "oh no u didn't!"
DeleteHe did pass - once Hill was out of the way :)
DeleteDid Griffin learn how to shoot FTs? Ugly form but almost nothing but net.
ReplyDeleteMcHale sporting the goat-tee. I think he wants to grow a fumanchu.
ReplyDeleteHe might be growing a beard to match Harden. Oh gosh!
DeleteEvery Houston turnover has turn into Griffin/Jordan dunks.
ReplyDeleteSo he scored 12 and committed 3 TO's and since Clippers scored off of all his TO's he actually has 6 points.
DeleteActually it's 7 points since Crawford scored an and one. Harden's 3 turnovers already gave away 7 points. But since he scored 12 points, he's a superstar!
DeleteKeep in mind they're playing a tired Clipper...Gives them an edge, esp since CP3 isn't around. I hope they pull off a win, but Clippers is never short on talent.
ReplyDeleteVERY NICE!
ReplyDeleteHe staggered into paint, failed, but he got the ball back. Good trust by teammates to reset him on top of key iso
DeleteYes more of that Lin k thx :)
ReplyDeleteG Hill with the savvy vet move. Waited until Jlin commit to get foul called
ReplyDeleteNice give and go from Lin to Douglas after Douglas took the ball in the back court and passed it to Lin. It could have been a 3 point play, but Douglas missed the FT.
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't Lin get the assist on that play?
DeleteGreat job by Jlin drawing the charge against bigger defender!
ReplyDeleteWow mismatch city right now...Hope Rox can take advantage.
ReplyDeleteLol keep trying Lin! Get warmed up!
ReplyDeleteThere is something about his shot tho, he is releasing late?
Jlin passes up open 3, waltzes and probes for a very nice dish for a dunk
ReplyDeleteLin with 4 points and 3 assists so far.
DeleteNice no look, he is getting so good with it.
ReplyDeleteJlin outhustles for defensive rebound and spots Tony D for open 3, but he misses
ReplyDeleteGod I love that no look pass
ReplyDeleteLin to Tyson Chandler for the dunk!
ReplyDeleteOops I meant Lin to Smith -= D
that was a poor play. iso toney D on some clipper guy. would like them to swing to Jlin, who was camping on the corner for a probe. oh well
ReplyDeleteJlin swing to corner off a PnR hard trap, but corner man misses cutter. Leads to brick
ReplyDelete2 missed free throws by morris... someone has to teach him to hit those fts
ReplyDeletelol at you people here, if im just gonna read ur comments and not watch the game you sounded like the Clippers are kicking the Rockets ass and in some kind of double digit deficit.
ReplyDelete35 - 35 tied game.
DeleteOh boy, Harden is back into the game now. Forget about passing the ball around. It's going to go straight down the middle ala Harden ball.
ReplyDeleteCan Houston get some big men who can finish around the basket and make their FTs?
ReplyDeleteI need to show Jeremy how to shoot the 3 point shots. It's all wrist action.
ReplyDeleteJeremy needs not to be a virgin and he can shoot the 3 pointers much better.
DeleteLol delfino...
ReplyDeleteWow Clippers self destructing...Moar emotions plz!
ReplyDeleteAnd their FTs are the suck again.
The rockets will win tonight because they are playing above .500 team and loose to a below .500 team. Go jeremy go rockets.....
ReplyDeleteWTF is Asik doing throwing the ball to Harden instead of giving it to Lin?
ReplyDeleteBecause he's hardwired to pass to Harden.
DeleteHouston better win this one. I know its the clippers but chris paul is out and its a back to back for them. No excuses this time around.
ReplyDeleteMcFail clapping after an Asik TO. Wow...
ReplyDeleteWow Morris shoots over Griffin...He was some of Blake!
ReplyDeleteLol Asik another steal he just throws away...
Asik needs to learn how to bank the ball like Griffin and Duncan. If you are 7 foot something and you can't bank in a shot, it's just pathetic.
ReplyDeleteYou know its sad when Griffin shoots FT better than your whole team.
ReplyDeleteHe did go to the past and tell his young self to learn howto shoot ft!
DeleteHave you seen Griffin's rookie year, he was about a 50% FT shooter. Now he's almost 80% ... that's what a professional shooting coach does for you.
DeleteHaha Asik thinks he can touchdown pass like Lin, you can't.
ReplyDeleteWell he did get a good steal. He's got 4 offensive rebounds to boot.
DeleteWhen you can't set a pick it means you don't know how to play fundamental bball. Just like making FT's. Come on, you have plenty of practice time to shoot FT's and you still can't make it. Embarrassing.
ReplyDeleteI think JLin just made a 3 (practice shot) :)
ReplyDeleteWasn't that Harden on the Delfino foul?
DeleteI think it was Lin. The guy was not black :) He made it just before he headed to the bench.
DeleteSee? He practiced and now he made one :0
DeleteThat one wasn't a practice shot!
Deleteman...super physical game
ReplyDeleteWhere's the aggressive Lin? Oh, that's right, Harden is in the game with him. He needs to go to deferred mode again. Somebody phone Lin's mom and tell her to yell at her son. She needs to give her a piece of her mind about being subservient to others.
ReplyDeleteLOL GOOD ONE!
DeleteThat was much needed treys by Delfino and Lin.
ReplyDeleteWow pwnage by Parsons, Delfino awesome knock.
ReplyDeleteBingo gringo. Parsons just made a 3
ReplyDeleteAnd Lin made another 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDamn, his foot touched the line. It's a long 2 again. That boy needs better practice with his footing.
DeleteDamn! Give Lin foot shortening surgery...
DeleteThe corner 3 pointer zone is very small, less than 3 feet wide I think. If he backs up too much, he will be standing out of bounds. He faked a pass to get the defender off him, I don't think he was thinking about where his feet were.
DeleteLin chalking up some needed assists. Outside shooters making their threes. How about that, Lin with back to back threes after bricking three earlier.
ReplyDeleteGO LINNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh man... I got nervous on that second Lin 3 pointer... but it's on the line... ahh!
ReplyDeleteOn the line? What happened? I just saw McHale in rage
DeleteMAN A TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSIGH
They awarded a 3 pointer to him after checking the video.
DeleteAccording to boxscore Lin only has one 3
DeleteAh felt good when his 3 ball go in.
ReplyDeleteUh oh, Harden is feeling some heat. Lin is catching up to him. It's time for Iso-Harden mode.
ReplyDeleteThat's why he keeps taking those jumpers, folks!
ReplyDeleteIt's a marathon, not a sprint. Jeremy has already improved greatly in the past month (something like 15p/7a/4s/3s).
It might take one more season to see Permanent Linsanity.
He needs alot of ginseng from his mom's cooking to sustain permanent Linsanity.
DeleteALRIGHT A 3!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought his toe was on the line good thing the ref disagrees!
Delete3 after all? They took it away according to boxscore
DeleteWeird. They said it's a 3 on TV but ESPN box score says it's a 2.
DeleteThey will readjust the score at half time.
DeleteDam Bledsoe was too quick for Lin. 2 quick fouls
DeleteNothing so far. I dont think they are going to adjust Lins score
DeleteI have $500 on this game so I m pretty confident rockets will win...go Jlin for the win...
ReplyDeleteParsons is bringing his game tonight.
ReplyDeleteWow McHale calling Parsons bs defense?
ReplyDeleteWhat is the world coming to?
McFail is reading those forum?
DeleteStrange :)
DeleteThey ran interference in the paint, caught Jlin looking to help, and Crawford popped free, Jlin ran out and fouled him. Live n Learn--but it was good play design by Clippers
ReplyDeleteGreat job pushing pace by Jlin after watching Asik fumble around for defensive board. Draws foul
ReplyDeleteHahahaha that was funny nice attack Lin!
ReplyDeleteYou can tell he knows he just wasn't going to make it and hung forever midair lolol they fell for it.
Deletemissed ft?
ReplyDeleteJeremy looks fresh. He doesn't have a super point guard to chase around.
ReplyDeleteGood pace once again but missed shot so no assist by Jlin. Previous play, Jlin wanted Asik to be aware of him funneling the PG, but Parsons had poor rotation when Clippers PG passed off in the paint.
ReplyDeleteNot aware of cutter once again in the paint as both HOU look on as Clipper player runs free for a dunk. Bad defensive awareness
ReplyDeletewith Jlin riding the bench with foul trouble, no HOU defensive players out there on the court as the half closes
DeleteNobody but Lin and Asik plays consistent defense.
DeleteNice half by Jeremy. 10 pts, 6 assists and ZERO turnovers.
But he better keep scoring or McHale will bench him during crunch time no matter how well he's passing or defending.
Tony Douglas is a much worse defender. I worry that if Lin sits too long, Douglas' bad play on both ends will hurt the Rockets.
DeleteDo not worry. The coaching staffs are learning too. If they do not adjust right, they fail. So goes the Rocket. Then, the coaching staffs will be replaced again.
DeleteBledsoe blowing by Lin at will. He is really this fast or is Jeremy tired?
ReplyDeleteLin suffered a sprain ankle during bball practice the other day. Of course he is going to be cautious running around.
DeleteLin is playing with a sprained left ankle.
DeleteBledsoe is quick and he can hit the jumper if you back off on him, so yeah he's hard to guard one on one. The real question is ... why isn't any Rocket player helping on defense or stopping his man from cutting into the lane ?
I rather see Jeremy Lin in Ron Jeremy mode than Linsanity mode. At least Ron Jeremy mode he can penetrate much better and can be sustained.
ReplyDeleteAlso in Ron Jeremy mode, he can push the ball harder and get a threesome or foursome involved. In Linsanity mode, he is playing with himself.
DeleteIm reading this as dirty joke. Was a meant to be a dirty joke? :)
DeleteDepends on what frame of mind you have. Are you gutteral?
Deleteplease don't make this site filthy, gentleman/lady?
DeleteWhat filth? Did anybody say anything filthy?
Delete:)
Deletewho is Ron Jeremy?
DeleteGoogle is your friend :)
DeleteLin has 0 turnover!
ReplyDeleteOf course Harden would still get praised because he scored 17 points despite his turnovers and bad D on Crawford.
No such luck with Lin even he scored big (see Linsanity).
Bledsoe and Lin are even now accept for the assists, fts, steals and rebounds.
ReplyDeleteJlin can only look as 7 footer Jordan grabs offensive rebound over him. Too tall. haha
ReplyDeleteNice box out, Omer!
ReplyDeleteClippers Big Men >>>> Houston Rockets Small forwards pretending to be "Big" Men
ReplyDeleteIt's like watching a grown man posting up a 10 year old boy. This is not a fair match at all...
Jlin dubious travel call. what....
ReplyDeleteHe stepped out of bounds.
DeleteGood fight for offensive board, hounds bledsoe into awkward penetration and Jlin stalls him. Bledsoe makes a corner 3 in his face with time running out. oh well, he made a great shot with good d
ReplyDeleteHouston tends to shoot themselves back into the game when they are falling behind instead of attacking the basket. Harden, Parsons, Delfino, Patterson, etc. Got to stay aggressive and make the better percentage shot.
ReplyDeleteHarden with some excellent ball pressure!
ReplyDeletepretty hesitation move but missed difficult layup
ReplyDeleteSee, this is what happened when your big men don't rebound and your star SG is concerned about "getting his" on offense.
ReplyDeleteTwo straight passes to Asik turns into TO...
ReplyDeleteThey've pretty much taken over, I don't think Rox is coming back.
ReplyDeleteYup, force feed to Asik results into 2 TO's both by two different players in Parsons and Delfino.
ReplyDeleteWillie Green killed Harden so McHale takes out... Lin. Completely 100% logical.
ReplyDeleteWell, Clyde wanted to see Harden play PG.
DeleteThat's because Lin missed the layup and fell to the floor and couldn't get back in time to see Harden leave his man in the corner for a 3. Totally Lin's fault.
DeleteLOL Rockets defense.
ReplyDeleteThen McHale sits the only good defender on the floor -- our man Jeremy.
Clippers go on another run with Jeremy out, lol.
I don't know why Lin is again made the scapegoat and is taken out because of his teammates' incompetence.
ReplyDeleteHarden and parsons. Mchale's pets.
DeleteLin hardly touches the ball.
McHale's stupidity is UNREAL! This dumb ass needs to be asap.
DeleteI meant to say he needs to be out of the NBA asap.
DeleteGame over. Rockets have no defense and can't stop Bledsoe, Green, Jordan and Griffin from scoring. Just shooting from the outside is not going to bail you out ala Harden.
ReplyDeleteThe flood gates are opening. Clippers going to blow out this harden and parsons team.
ReplyDeleteOnly ball movement is Harden to parsons, parsons to harden.
They are scared to get bad stats from passing to Asik.
Deletewhat a game?
ReplyDeleteblow out?no point guard?
Deletethat was a good break!, we needed that... Go JLin
ReplyDeleteAsik has 4 TO!
ReplyDeleteOnly thing that will save this game is... Linsanity. And I dont mean Jeremy Lin. I mean LINSANITY!
ReplyDeleteHe subbed Delfino in hoping the sausage man will hit threes to get the Rockets back in the game. Again, no defense from defenseless Harden and Green blows by him. Harden had to foul him. Luckily it wasn't an and 1.
ReplyDeleteMcHale finally took Harden out and sub in TD. McHale is trying to try everybody to see if they could stop the Clippers player.
ReplyDeleteEven can't beat them without C Paul.
ReplyDeleteWho needs CP3 when Harden is playing for the Clippers. Seriously, the Rockets got no interior or perimeter defense.
DeleteOnce G Smith is in, no more Clipper big man dominance!
ReplyDeleteThe running game starts working too. Even Delfino just took the ball to the hole!
DeleteThe game was mostly even, until the Rockets became a 3-point brick machine to start the 2nd half. They are 6 of 23 from the arc. Clippers making them pay every time they missed a 3 and got the long rebound.
ReplyDeleteDelfino is a better version of Novak. At least he is mobile and can play defense. His handle is suspect.
ReplyDeleteDoes G Smith have big man moves??
ReplyDeleteThe defense is much better once you take the holes out of the swiss cheese.
ReplyDeleteYes Houston is playing better without Harden AND Lin AND especially Asik.
DeleteI think the line up of TD, Smith, Lin, Parsons/Delfino and Patterson is a good line up.
DeleteActually Houston is playing better once without Harden and Asik, but not without Lin.
Deletebench do step up :)
ReplyDeleteman that missed technical free throw..if parsons makes both his FT, would have been 3 pt play
ReplyDeleteSimply put, Rockets in terms of quickness and athleticism, cannot hang with Clippers for 4 quarters. Clippers' second unit can beat Rockets' first unit. And that's without a savvy player like CP3 playing.
ReplyDeleteChandler is getting the right idea. Take it to the hole and create havoc. Don't just settle for the 3 point shot. There is plenty of time to get back into the game. You're only down by 13 now.
ReplyDeleteWOW WTF IS WITH THE FTs...
ReplyDeleteLol not even watching game its way over.
no boards, free possessions. toney d with another iso! haha
ReplyDeleteMcHale can't blame Lin for the horrible defense once he sat Lin for Delfino. Harden didn't even both to D up his man. I am sure he will be praised after the game or Lin will be made scapegoat after the loss.
ReplyDeleteouthustled for another free possession
ReplyDeletehere comes Lin with 10 to play
ReplyDeleteDelfino needs to give it up. He does not know his role
ReplyDeleteCrawford teeing up on Lin. Good response by Lin but Morris in n out
ReplyDeleteand another Crawford in your face to Lin
ReplyDeleteIt's over. Crawford is on his shooting streak. Just rest the starters for tomorrow's game against the Mavs.
ReplyDelete
