Everyone on this rockets team plays PG except Lin. Mchale is going to sub Harden out for Lin in the beginning of next quarter. Same pattern every game. So predictable. They brought Lin to this team to stand at the corner.
I'm seeing full exertion going to the ball for offensive rebounds but then...
I see passivity (waiting for the ball to drop) when going for the defensive rebounds.
I wonder if the HOU bigs see offensive boards as more $$$ contract wise than a defensive board. Therefore, it would be logical to exert more effort to grab an offensive board for stat stuffing when contract negotiations come up
Ha stupid Cleveland announcer said "he's got a mismatch here" when Lin was on Livingston. Lin forces Livingston into a brick off the back iron.
Always reminds me last season when the announcer said "Lin doesn't stand a chance!" when Lin was on Deron Williams. Williams gets nothing out of it and the announcer has to go "I take that back!"
Everybody remembers that. It was the first Linsanity game against nets right? At least the anouncers in NY learned pretty quickly that they shouldnt be doubting Lin. They love him ever since :)
i agree.. but his gotta hit those mid ranges before he starts knocking down 3's imo anyway !. Cause if he can shoot 1 step inside from the 3 point line he will burnt past people easier alot easier cause they gotta respect his shot, and we all know his explosive off the dribble
No, more preferable is to give it up to Harden earlier and say eff it to the set play. HOU coaches already have a littany of reasons to sub him anytime
It isn't in Jlin's career or his mannerisms to ever ask for anything--come on now :)
"What's so special about Kyrie Irving? Hasn't done anything so far tonight. People are calling him the next superstar, and Lin a "joke", but Irving hasn't shown that he's superior at anything. "
JLin's shot look smooth tonight. When he didn't think about the shot, he somehow shoot it so well. Hmmm, I hope he will look at this game's film and reminisce on why he made those jumpers look so easy and effortless and build his shooting touch from there.
Here we go!
ReplyDeleteI thought I can read McHale's lips and telling Jeremy Lin to play hard.
ReplyDeleteAnnouncers said Houston is wearing their Ketchup and mustard uniforms. Hahahaha. Where are the dogs and the buns?
ReplyDeleterockets are playing like they're stuck in mud, especially harden. pick up the pace please.
ReplyDeleteSigh live sie by 3s again. And parsons d smh.
ReplyDeleteSo does Morris get benched for shooting a 21 ft jumper?
ReplyDeleterockets do not prefer it but it's no prohibited.
Delete:)
DeleteHarden needs to be benched
DeleteGood aggressive move by Morris there, at least one big (even if he is a tweener) is not afraid to take it to the undersized CLE frontcourt
ReplyDeletethere you go lets push it
ReplyDeletestop dribbling so much
ReplyDeletewow asik is not rebounding the ball and no ball moment, lin needs to play more with the ball
ReplyDeletenor boxing out
Deletethe western teams are tight. please do not lose this one to the cavs.
ReplyDeleteTime to sub in Pat Pat and Greg Smith. Asik can't make a basket at close range.
ReplyDeleteLol stupid game so far asik is getting beat our d is the suck
ReplyDeletethats why asik is out
Deletebring fino in already.
ReplyDeleteAsik cant finish actually no on e can harden not touching ball
ReplyDeleteLin is going to D up kyrie :)
ReplyDeleteSweet D
ReplyDeleteThis is when I would like to see Lin look to score more!
Deletethis is a back 2 back so the rockets do not want to dig a hole again.
ReplyDeleteanother stopped drive by JLin
ReplyDeleteif God gave Jeremy another 3-4 inches on the vertical, that weakside crash for offensive rebound would have been a put back dunk!
ReplyDeleteCome on :) If god gave Lin 10 more inches he wouldnt need to jump in order to dunk :) It is what it is :)
DeleteArhh! Missed that 3 !
ReplyDeleteCLE supposed to have 4th-worst offense in the league.
ReplyDeleteRockets has second most points allowed... (although pace)
DeleteLove how much respect the commentators are giving our offense
DeleteLin getting decent looks. I like his intensity to start. Just not dropping yet.
ReplyDeleteWow houston shooting 28pct smh
ReplyDeleteTD is in with 3 minutes left in the 1st quarter. I see a pattern.
ReplyDeleteLin sitting lol right on time
ReplyDeleteYou will see Lin again the start of 2nd quarter and Harden will be sitting.
Deletepat needs to start to get the rockets going early.
ReplyDeletesmith and 1. nice pass fino.
ReplyDeleteCant believe Smiths ball went in. He also did a good job putting Hardens miss in.
ReplyDeletesmith is playing with a lot of energy.
DeleteStrong take by Smith. Delfino can pass.
ReplyDeleteSmith needs to learn to keep his arms UP!
DeleteHave you seen his arms :) Maybe they are too heavy...
DeleteEveryone on this rockets team plays PG except Lin. Mchale is going to sub Harden out for Lin in the beginning of next quarter. Same pattern every game. So predictable. They brought Lin to this team to stand at the corner.
DeleteVery nice fino dish to smith for a finger roll and 1
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing full exertion going to the ball for offensive rebounds but then...
ReplyDeleteI see passivity (waiting for the ball to drop) when going for the defensive rebounds.
I wonder if the HOU bigs see offensive boards as more $$$ contract wise than a defensive board. Therefore, it would be logical to exert more effort to grab an offensive board for stat stuffing when contract negotiations come up
douglas cant leave kyrie open for 3s.
ReplyDeletewhat's up with all these turnovers. stop it now.
ReplyDelete8 TO's already end of 1st quarter
DeleteHarden has 3. Lin has only 1. Shall be bash Harden for a change :)
DeleteKyrie can't be stopped on the break....with JLin out! :)
ReplyDeletePhantom of the arena...
DeleteYep. Lin had very very efficient 19 and 13 on Kyrie last year. Harden is off. Hoping Harden starts finishing his drives.
DeleteI wouldn't mind seeing ISO Lin attack Kyrie beginning of 2nd.... make him play some D
DeleteThat was a nice play by Irving. Uses one of the HOU big's body to stop his own momentum so he can lay it up softly
ReplyDeletei guess this what b2b games can do to you. slow, lackluster..
ReplyDeleteany link?
ReplyDeleteLol Getting owned by garbage team you nvr know with this team
ReplyDeleteThey need lin to take over but he is just dishing
That slight hesistation on the first PnR--if he were some other place than HOU, I like to think Lin takes that 15 fter
ReplyDeleteBut HOU likes to see a contested patterson dumpoff from 5 ft..eh, I can see rationale on both sides
Deletepats keeping rockets in the game.
ReplyDeletehe's a shooter, that one
DeleteGive Pat his job back already!
Delete2Pat our 6th man?
Deletehe should start instead of morris.
Deletewhy is douglas the PG when Lin is in????? Lin is confused every game. "What is my position on this team?"
ReplyDeleteIf they are doing backside alleyoops, some body on the HOU front court is sleeping! Wake up!
ReplyDeletenice pass lin. nice dunk smith.
ReplyDeleteLazy TO. what was that 54?
ReplyDeleteMakes Lin dive unnecessary on top of that
DeleteBut Sampson probably loves visual effort like that, haha
Deletelol
Deletenice "dribbling exhibition" and then to smith for the dunk
ReplyDeletethat was nice
Deletea lot of these announcers really like Lin. great to hear from opposing teams home announcers. this one call him Jlin
Deletejust trailing by 3. lets squash the cavs.
ReplyDeleteAlways see lin has no point in first half!
ReplyDeleteRox not enough fast breaks.
ReplyDeletesmith again. i love this boy right now.
ReplyDeleteOffensive boards are sweet.
Deletepat and smith are keeping the rockets in the game. of course lin to.
ReplyDeletelins shots are short tonight.
ReplyDeletegood defense lin.
ReplyDeleteso was that a missed shot when JLin tried to pass to Smith but hit the rim instead?
ReplyDeleteNo trust by Delfino. Missed pass that hit the Rim by Jeremy. Jeremy wants the ball back to reset. Delfino ignores, plays PG
ReplyDeleteYou know that mchale is a stupid coach when he uses TD for PG and Lin the spot up shooter.
ReplyDeletelin got wacked on the dragon.
ReplyDeleteD up on Livingston on one end and driving to the hoop on the other!
ReplyDeleteCleveland announcers said Lin is worthy of his contract because he can sure play the game. Surprising.
ReplyDeleteOh my, did he get wacked on his dragon tatoo?
ReplyDeletelins free throw short too.
ReplyDeleteShort FT, short 3s. Tired legs playing defense. Needs to learn superstar loafing from his backcourt mate
ReplyDeletei think so.
Delete3 ptr linsanity!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh if Lin hits his 3s the game is basicly over :)
ReplyDeleteCan't hit a 3 again, I can't be patient any more .
ReplyDelete???
Deletethreeeeee
ReplyDeleteNice!
ReplyDeleteHa stupid Cleveland announcer said "he's got a mismatch here" when Lin was on Livingston. Lin forces Livingston into a brick off the back iron.
ReplyDeleteAlways reminds me last season when the announcer said "Lin doesn't stand a chance!" when Lin was on Deron Williams. Williams gets nothing out of it and the announcer has to go "I take that back!"
Everybody remembers that. It was the first Linsanity game against nets right? At least the anouncers in NY learned pretty quickly that they shouldnt be doubting Lin. They love him ever since :)
DeleteYeah that was the very first Linsanity breakout game. I just love that line... "Lin doesn't stand a chance... I take that back!" LOL
DeleteLin Lin Lin!
ReplyDeletelin banker yes.
ReplyDeletekinda a little pull up in the paint :)
Deletekeep it up lin.
Delete3 ball!!!! Lin is the honey badger!
ReplyDeleteFinally! The only method to get his jump shot back is keep shooting .
ReplyDeleteAGREED!!!
DeleteWHOOP! Doesn't let TO rattle him. That's Jlin!
ReplyDeletewhoop. whoop.
DeleteLin steals it and Rox take the lead!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
Deletelin steal yepee.
ReplyDeleteall lin now.
ReplyDeleteIso LIN!
Deletegetting in rhythm
DeleteC'mon ROX, Lin is catching fire, FEED THE DRAGON!
Deletedamn it lin just barely allowed the worm kyrie wiggle his way in.
ReplyDeleteKyrie with the nice finish. Slow weak side help.
ReplyDeletethat has been a recurring problem for houston
DeleteGreat initial PnR defense by Jlin--blitzed the screener and stayed with Irving...funnels the PG to the HOU big...except Asik doesn't scare anyone
ReplyDeleteThat's HOU! Sampson probably wondering if TD would net a better result
harden only with 4 points. i guess he's really stuck in mud today.
ReplyDeleteIts all 2pat and smith where is harden he looks slow
ReplyDeleteJeremy really needs to practice his shooting.. forget about the 3point game.. get a mid range game brother !
ReplyDeletebro When finds his shot from 3 he will spread out the defense...good for Hrockets
Deletei agree.. but his gotta hit those mid ranges before he starts knocking down 3's imo anyway !. Cause if he can shoot 1 step inside from the 3 point line he will burnt past people easier alot easier cause they gotta respect his shot, and we all know his explosive off the dribble
Deletemorris for triple!
ReplyDeleteyes rockets by 1.
ReplyDeletegood defense super lin.
ReplyDeleteand then you will have guys guarding you so then you can burn past them alot easier !
ReplyDeletedam if lin didnt hit that 2 , i rekon mchale would have dragged him !
Deleteall jeremy lin announcer said. i like very much.
ReplyDeleteTREMENDOUS D--WOW
ReplyDeleteTook 2 guys out of the play! Jlin!!
Deleteanother stop by JLin, stopping Kyrie's crossover, and then comes over to close out on zeller off
ReplyDeleteelite defender
Ok im not blowing things out of proportions but that was lebron like...just versatile
Deletecmon harden no turnovers please.
ReplyDeleteSaw Lin on Zeller? When the game is over people will come out again to say JLin played "OK" defense when he was playing awesome d
ReplyDelete"That was almost all Jeremy Lin there"
ReplyDeleteAnnouncer giving jlin props for forcing 24sec violation go lin!
ReplyDeletelin can take kyrie too 1 on 1.
ReplyDeleteeven on the fast break, he kept his body right on him
Deleteoh another 3!
smart on Lin's part not fouling
Delete2nd 3pointer!!!
ReplyDeletealmost lazy pass there by jlin to harden. He isn't superhuman, tired from defense
ReplyDeleteask for a sub then :)
DeleteNo, more preferable is to give it up to Harden earlier and say eff it to the set play. HOU coaches already have a littany of reasons to sub him anytime
DeleteIt isn't in Jlin's career or his mannerisms to ever ask for anything--come on now :)
lin 3 ptr again linsanity!
ReplyDelete3 ball!!! Lin having a great game so far. Picking up Harden big time in this game. James will take over at some point too
Deleteharden for 3 free throws.
ReplyDeleteoh no it's not harden its asik for 2 ft instead.
DeleteGo lin nother trey!
ReplyDeleteOmg! 2 's 3 points shot! Very nice!
ReplyDelete12 TO's!
ReplyDeleteThe pace is picking up.
no more tos please.
Deletelin is playing solid 2day. he could have 11 pts if that last layup went it.
ReplyDeletegood D j Lin
ReplyDeleteclean it up morris
ReplyDeleteyes lin and whoever else..it was morris that finshed.
ReplyDeletelets build the lead rockets.
ReplyDeleteasik with blocks in two straight possessions. not bad :)
ReplyDelete3!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete2 more!
DeleteCLE frontcourt taking it strong--not afraid of anybody on HOU frontcourt. Asik and his 1 block?they are like PFFFTTTT
ReplyDeletelin 3 ptr again and again. linsanity!
ReplyDeletehe's feeling it!
Deletelinsanity on fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
ReplyDeleteHahahaha lin killin it go lin! Harden is out?
ReplyDeleteoh no offensive foul?
ReplyDeletelin stomped on his balls ouch.
Deletedid Morey spill his sode? a mid range no hesitation jumper???
ReplyDeleteJlin needs more eff it to "philosophies".
that mid-range jumper was smooth
DeleteWow - Lin kicked someone in the balls :) on a jumper... eveybody was kungfu fighting!!!!
ReplyDeletedon't think that was intentional tho
DeleteNah, it was...haha, that's why I like it.
DeleteHe's trying to make teams PAY for taking dirty cheap shots at him.
Got caught on that one, though!
OK - somebody ran into Lins foot with his balls first! Everybody was kungfu fighting!!!
Delete@zxcvb - haha, that's one way of protecting himself :)
DeleteJLin's d tonight
ReplyDeletelets protect the lead cmon rockets.
ReplyDeletethey're wasting lin's precious baskets.
DeleteJeremy is Linbarrassing ME with his hot outside shooting, including 3 treys!
ReplyDeletefino for 3!
ReplyDeleteWhoa. Lin playing psycho mode today. Unstoppable. I thought his shot was totally off. Nearly airballed a free throw and now hes going nuts.
ReplyDeleteppl need to be patient once JLin shot becomes silk he will be virtually unstoppable
Deleteno kyrie for 3. damn it.
ReplyDeletea good close out by JLin. not much a defender can do when the guy pulls up from range.
Deleteeh what can you say, he made it great shot on a contested look.
ReplyDeleteDid Sampson signal for TD on that?
i want to give lin a big juicy kiss. he controlled the tempo, scored, and played solid defense.
ReplyDeleteSmith with 9 rebounds. Is someone finally going to out rebound Asik?
ReplyDeleteJ Lin with 14 5 3 1 stl 1 to in at the half. I think they are going to try to get Harden his in the third.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
Deletehighest pts, ast
DeletePat 11 points, 5 for 8 in 9 minutes already, Morris 9 points, 4-5 in 14 minutes... gonna be a fun season watching these two battle it out
DeleteJeremy getting some love on CF:
ReplyDelete"What's so special about Kyrie Irving? Hasn't done anything so far tonight. People are calling him the next superstar, and Lin a "joke", but Irving hasn't shown that he's superior at anything. "
I don't know if that's love, or failing to recognise that JLin is shutting Kyrie down.
Deleteagree with CF all the way
DeleteAt the half:
ReplyDeleteLin 21 min/ 14pts/ 5-9/ 3 reb/ 5ast/ 1 stl/ 3 TO
Irving 19 min/ 10 pts/ 4-9/ 4 reb/ 0 stl/ 3 TO
Suddenly Rockets philosophy looks brilliant. Lol. Keep taking those 3s until you can make them.
ReplyDeleteJLin's shot look smooth tonight. When he didn't think about the shot, he somehow shoot it so well. Hmmm, I hope he will look at this game's film and reminisce on why he made those jumpers look so easy and effortless and build his shooting touch from there.
