Rockets @ Mavs Game #40 1st Half Game Thread

  1. Those commentators from ESPN are all baffoons. First of all, how is James Harden a god send to Jeremy Lin? Yes, he took the pressure off from Lin, but Lin is not playing true PG because of Harden. Secondly, according to Magic Johnson, James Harden can score 20+ points and get 10+ assists night in and night out and can get his teammates playing better. Say what Magic Johnson. You are a great bball player, but not a good analyst. Also, Bill Simmons said Parsons is untradeable. He won't trade Parson for Josh Smith if Atlanta wants to do a 1 for 1 trade. Another baffoon opinion.

    4. That's what Magic Johnson said. It's funny how he thinks Lin counldn't live up to his contract until Harden exist.

      Delete
    5. Parsons is nice and his low salary contract, but if somebody offer you Josh Smith straight up you take it. No wonder Jalen Rose was like shuddup Bill Simmons. You have no clue what the heck you are talking about.

  2. Where the heck are the hordes? Seems quiet on this site especially it's a Texas Rivalry game going on. No comments yet from the peanut gallery?

  3. McHale said Harden is better than he thought he certain area. No mention of Harden's defense.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Death stare from McHale at Jeremy Lin because he couldn't handle a rebound and it went out of bounds.

    1. Fuck that dude. He'll lose the team because he's afraid to call out Harden for playing no D.

      Delete
    2. well said redking.

      Delete
  5. Jeremy only one drive and one shot so far. Still hesitant when Harden is in the game with him. He doesn't know if he should drive or defer. Drive and Defer both starts with D.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Jeremy Lin trying to take credit for a foul that was assess to Harden on Mayo. Mayo got an AND 1.

    ReplyDelete
  7. McHale's pissed so Lin is going to get whipped. Guess what, Toney Douglas time!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Lin committed a bone head turn over. Only he ran up the floor and nobody ran with him. He dribbled into traffic and lost the ball and let Collison get a three at the other end. McHale is not happy. This will justify McHale benching Lin early today.

    1. I think the rest of the team thought a time out was going to be called and no time out was called.

  9. Same old shit...fkin around until the last 10 min in the 4th quarter to start trying to win.

    ReplyDelete
  10. McHale is a baffoon for leaving Harden out there with 2 PFs already.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. All starters are out except Parsons is still in the game. TD just let Collison drive to the basket and had to foul him.

      Delete
  11. Wow that was just sad. Only Lin passed the half court and nobody run. The rest of the team leave him high and dry

    ReplyDelete
  12. Way to run your team ragged McHale by not resting them yesterday when the game was lost in the 3rd quarter. Same old Rockets crap. Going for the 3 pointers when you are down and how the heck you let Delfino run the point and make decision to pass or shoot the ball.

    ReplyDelete
  13. McHale is hoping his bench will bail him out again, but Delfino and Co are making bone head passes for TO and not getting baskets. Rockets are down by 14 points before TD hit a miracle 3 pt to cut it down to 11.

    ReplyDelete
  14. There's no ball movement in the Rockets offense. And honestly, Jeremy just isn't playing very smart or well right now. Tough to watch. I don't think I'm going to spend any more time watching this junk.

    ReplyDelete
  15. lol what is Delfino doing haha?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Delfino alone with 4 TO's in the 1st quarter. McHale let him run around and making passes.

      Delete
  16. Too many missed open shots and not driving to the hole. Too many turn overs. Please don't let Delfino run and make passes. He is a turn over machine. He needs to be like a Novak and be a spot up shooter. Everybody on the Houston team are confused. Lin is confused beyond help because he doesn't know who got his back when he runs with the ball. Harden is still thinking how he can score 24 points and play zero defense at the same time and also get praises from McHale. Be assure that a trade will happen because the current Rockets roster is broken.

  17. Stopped watching two games ago. I still support the kid, but hopefully he gets back in the groove after the all star break.

  18. Rox will be out of the playoff whenever Utah plays next! Same defenseless team every game night

    ReplyDelete
  19. Ohhh Lin really agressive now! FT - block - layup!

    ReplyDelete
  20. McHale is changing up the rotation substitution for the 2nd. Lin and Harden are out there. Lin is trying to attack the rim in the 2nd quarter.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Lin went left that time for the lay up attempt.

    ReplyDelete

  22. Harden, TD and Lin are all out on the court to start the 2nd half.

  23. Lin is trying to make things happen. He scored again and he did his famous karate kick on the way up.

  24. Does the commentator want Lin to use the glass or not?

  25. wth! is wrong with Harden give the ball to Lin

    ReplyDelete
  26. Bench Harden and let Lin take over please

    ReplyDelete

    1. McHale is afraid to upset Harden if Lin does take over and show everybody that he can win without Harden again.

  27. Harden has shot one brick, one missed shot trying to draw a foul and also committed a turn over passing to Greg Smith. Bravo.

    ReplyDelete
  28. 4 assists total for the rockets so far in the game .... no like our offense right now...

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hubie Brown loves Lin. ESPN loves Lin. Huge ratings.

Not sure what happened to Lin's free throws, law of averages I guess. He is still great attacking. If Rockets can get a big man to finish this team will be very good. Lin guarding Mayo now wow..

    ReplyDelete
  30. It begs the question... why would the Thunder make Harden a bench player, if they knew he could score??

    ReplyDelete
  31. Is McHale a good coach?

Jeremy: His resume speaks for himself.

    ReplyDelete

  32. Come on now, stop passing to Harden so he can brick the 3 pointers.

    ReplyDelete
  33. AHhhhh - Lins just been robbed of another assist

    ReplyDelete
  34. Lead is back up to 12 points ever since Harden brought upon himself to take over and try to pad his stats.

    1. Harden uses up half the shot clock just bringing the ball up court then proceeds to brick.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Finally they took Harden out. It's about time.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Say what, travel when Mike James foul Lin?

    ReplyDelete
  38. I think teams are figuring out how to defend Harden and Houston fast breaks. Seriously, Lin committed one turn over and McHale sub in Beverly for him.

    ReplyDelete
  39. It is hard watching this kind of basketball slow n too many set play they should play free style fast ball like they used to when they were winning now it slow n hard to watch.....they are so young they should outrun sny team......

    ReplyDelete
  40. Wow, Beverley in for Lin. Hopefully this is not the start of him cutting into Lin's minutes.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It is the start of him cutting into Lin's minutes.

No matter how good we think he is if Beverley goes hot he is going to take his minutes.

      6pts in 2 minutes, yeah.

      Delete
    2. If that happens I honestly want Lin out, Why are they having 3 pgs on one team? I see right through the lines of the Rockets commitment to Lin

      Delete
  41. It makes me laugh how desperate McHale is becoming by subbing in Beverly when Lin was being aggressive. He really didn't want Lin to run the show when Harden is sitting on the bench.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Beverly made another 3 pointer. He is 2 for 2 from 3 point land.

    ReplyDelete
  43. man Beverly going to steal jeremy's job

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That's exactly what I was thinking. Jeremy might be served a dose of his own medicine if he doesn't get it together.

      Delete
    2. He will take TD's job before he takes Lin's.

      Delete
  44. Beverly is playing like Lin last year now when he is given an opportunity. Lin should take note and really search within himself. He will find himself riding the pine if he doesn't wake up.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Please do not give Delfino the ball anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  46. time to trade TD and have Beverly to back up Lin. This kid is GOOD.

    1. They are going to trade Lin and have TD back up Beverly at this rate.

      Delete
    2. What makes you think they wouldn't just bench Lin or even trade HIM?

      Delete
    3. get the FUCK out of here with that, if their is a trade it would TD

      Delete
    4. They do need to make a trade for a superstar PF and Lin could be dangled out there. Especially to the Jazz.

    5. This comment has been removed by the author.

      Delete
    6. just a question, do you guys even support Lin? This is Lin's fan site is it not?

      Delete
    7. It's a possibility. Please don't be in denial if Houston is a PF away from being a contender. If this kid Beverly is showing he is better than Lin then in the coach mind and management mind he will be a better fit with Harden than Lin is.

      Delete
    8. @TVN, just because you refuse to believe the possibility of the scenario I presented and instead resort to spew profanity towards me.

      Delete
    9. I'd love to see Lin on the Jazz. Sure, Utah is boring, but he'd be a much better fit there as they don't have a ball-dominant wing player.

      Delete
    10. @John Ly,

The profanity, which I deleted, was not directed at you.

      Delete
    11. That's why it is a possibility if Utah is going to trade Millsap or Favors.

      Delete
    12. good. a trade might not be such a bad thing for lin. this is good too...lin needs to play hungry again.

      Delete
    13. @John Ly,

NO way to they trade Favors. Too much upside. I do believe they want to get something for Millsap, who probably won't re-sign. If Jeremy keeps stinking it up, the Jazz trade just might be a possibility.

      A future line-up of

      Lin
      Burks
      Hayward
      Favors
      Kanter

      looks nice, IMO.

      Delete
    14. Jazz are young too and I think Morey knows he need a PF. Not many options out there without including a Parsons or a Delfino to complete the trade.

      Delete
    15. I'd think Mo WIlliams would be included in a trade, also.

The Rockets would probably have to give up Paterson or Morris and another guy to go along with Lin.

      Delete
  47. Even Berverly got to run the team at the point more than Lin.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That's because they aren't telling ANYONE what to do. Jeremy is pretty much playing like a pussy and deferring. This is on him more than anyone else.

      Delete
    2. Well if they drop him I guess you can say Lin played it his way.

I'm sure Lin is taking notice, Beverley is fast or what?

      Delete
    3. Oh yeah? Didn't know that you're part of the Rox's coaching staff. Thanks for the inside info. Lin's fans on this site appreciate it very much.

      Delete
    4. If Beverly can come off the bench and play aggressively and get his teammates good shot, what does that say about Lin and those who believe it is the coaching staff that is suppressing Lin?

      Delete
  48. This is good for jlin that Beverly get some minutes, good competition

    ReplyDelete
  49. Oh yeah here we go, Harden and Beverley.

Where is Lin? Oh yeah benched.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. As soon as McHale sub Harden back in, the offense is stagnant. Harden is going to shoot Houston out of the game. McHale sub him out again.

      Delete
  50. LOL looks like Harden is afraid of his minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  51. No need to be afraid of Beverley when there is Harden out there with him. :-p

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. a little competition aint bad. Now if Morey can find an SG who's a decent shooter and a good defender.

      Delete
  52. Even McHale is starting to realize that Harden is the real cancer out there lol.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Marion said it right there. All you need to do is take away Harden's launch pad.

    ReplyDelete
  54. McHale is trying everything to see if it works. He tried everybody with Harden and obviously it is Harden's fault that they are down by 8. Harden kept shooting and looking for his own shot instead of involving everybody. That is a sign of a selfish player and not a team player. McHale should wake up and see this and instruct Lin to run the offense. Lin doesn't know how to play when Harden is in the game because he is fearful that if he doesn't pass to Harden he will be benched. He sneezes and he will be benched so why worry. Just be aggressive and play your game.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah, but when will McHale realize Harden is the problem, not the players around him?

      Delete
    2. Cara, I don't think that will happen anytime soon. McHale is stubborn and is adamant on building around Harden and featuring Harden as Houston superstar. Management has told him so because they paid 80 million for the dude. Everybody else is expendable.

      Delete
    3. So McHale will lose his job then if he put this "building around Harden" over winning, don't tell me a 20 game losing streak won't lose him the job.

      Delete
    4. I doubt the Rockets are that bad to lose 20 games. They will lose at least 5 or 6 games in a row, but not 20.

      Delete
    5. Besides, Houston is surpassing expectations already. They already got 20 wins.

      Delete

They also wanted TD to be starting PG - right after they wanted to trade TD. Before that...

      Delete
    2. Let him play with Harden and see how good he is then. I saw him do nothing in a couple minutes with Harden either.

      Delete
    3. Wow, lol those guys are raving idiots. Well I was getting getting emotional about this...What I think may happen is the TD will get traded perhaps. 3 pg's on one team is not a good look for Lin, when he surrounded by jackass coaches.

      Delete
    4. he's actually good. Of course small sample size but if Jlin doesnt show up every game there might be tension. Douglas is the one in the losing end here. he'll be losing he's back-up position sooner than later.

      Delete
    5. Didn't even know Rox had a dedicated starting PG...Everyone is a PG in McHale's system.

      Delete
  56. Beverly has only played a hand full of minutes so far and all you guys are doubting Lin already? Great fans you are!

Didnt we already debate this when TD played "well"?

    2. I think people are just naturally comparing the point guards on the team. Right now Beverly is providing a spark off the bench. He is quick, can shoot the 3 and can penetrate.

      Delete
    3. @Smoovies:

I like Beverly and I like what hes been doing so far. I just wouldnt make the mistake of judging after a hand full of minutes.

BTW - people were saying the same about TD :)

      Delete
  57. Harden is hilarious. He was subbed in, then proceeded to miss 2 shots and turn over once and was subbed out again lol.

I am not really worried about Beverley taking minutes away from Lin. Anyone playing without Harden would look good.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I bet if they go TD/Lin/Beverley in 3rd Rox will go on a run and have a shot at winning. Take advantage of the lack of scouting on Beverley and get him some minutes, Harden is too predictable.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yup put a body on Harden at the free throw line and all he can do is chuck 3s.

      Delete
  59. Chill out willy. We are all supportive of Lin. Some of my comments are sarcastic in nature. I wished that all our comments on here is telegraphed to Lin's mind so he can wake up and start playing.

    4. Now that is a strong statement to call yourself a big fat man who smiles alot. Do not use Buddha's name in vain.

      Delete
    5. Thats only how certain folks depict him. Nobody knows how he really looked like. You never wondered why an indian guy is depicted a smug, golden, fat, chinese man with curly hair on his head? Dude... brush up on your buddhism :)

Also - the "dont use his name in vain" thing - thats the second commandment - if you are a catholic. Its the third commandment if you are a jew. Whats that to do with buddhism? Buddha was a man who died due to food poisoning. Hes not a god.

Also - the word BUDDHA is not a name. It has its own meaning. Everyone can be buddha. A lot of people have been declared buddha after their death. There are people who are considered living buddhas.

  60. Good for Beverly. I'm sure Lin won't be here beyond this year or next. Something will happen. Lin still has all his skills and now he has his health. So good things will come. McHale is definitely not the coach for him. I was a mistake that he willingly returned to a guy that cut him. Once you shun someone you continually want to prove that you made the right decision before (which is McHale's major fault).

    1. He didnt want to go back to Houston. He signed with Houston hoping NY would match.

    2. Blessing in disguise. Maybe Morey will have a knee jerk reaction and trade Lin. Win win!

    3. Yeah, he was suppose to be in NYC. NYC screwed him big time. Well it was actually Melo, Woodson and Melo's people (World Wide Wes).

    4. Add JR Smith to that list and Tyson didn't come out and support him either.

    5. Yes, I forgot those guys. Plus Tyson tried to concuss Lin.

I am praying Lin comes to Lakers. I will get season tickets.

  61. It is so sad to see JLin play like this.......he look slow n not into the game he need to wake up n stop dreaming....Berverly is playing aggressive n that how the game should b played. It doesn't surprise me if they sit Lin n make Berverly a starting point guard. So he need to wake up n start creating his own shots......none of that silly miss three shots...

    1. Lin is playing with McHale shackles on his bum ankles. McHale has a short leash with PG. He is like a certain baseball coach I know who is short with pitchers.

      Delete
    2. *shrug* its what I've been saying Jeremy needs to step it up in aggressiveness. He is playing too PASS-ive.

At the end of the day what counts is the win, sometimes you have to be a bit selfish and not throw possessions away when scrubs go cold.

      Its what'll make him elite.

      Delete
    3. Very wise - except - Beverly can play like that because he is not constantly double teamed. Also - as bench player he is supposed to go nuts out there. Lin needs to stay healthy.

Also - Lin did attack nicely - right before he went back to passing to Harden :)

See - Harden is the leader of the team. The guys on the team respect Harden more than Lin. You can see that when it comes to inbound passes, screens, whatever. With those coaches who keep on blaming him, benching him, yelling at him...

During the break McHale talked to the guys. Anyone seen it? McHale talked about TOs and gave someone a mad look - then he talked about gambling and gave the same person a mad look... bet you he was looking at Lin...

      Delete
    4. your eyes failing you again? Or ur just trolling?

      Delete
    5. If Beverly can lead the team to victory in the second half with Harden, you will definitely see Beverly cutting into Lin's minutes.

      Delete
    6. whats with all these aggressiveness thing? last time he tried to be aggressive and went to the basket well it didnt worked out that well with the sixers. Aggression doesnt works every time. if its so easy then every aggressive player will win it all. What he needs is to make good basketball decision. Im not sure how he will do that but it sure come with experience. Great PGs know when to score and when to just defer to his teammates. he needs to balance that out and not just be aggressive.
