Novak is actually an above average to elite defender, statistically speaking. Guys love to attack him and shoot bad shots just because Novak is a white guy.
Morris is not at Novak's defensive level. Sounds strange, but that's basketball.
I wonder why the Rockets changed up the style during their losing streak and allowed Harden to dominate the ball and have Lin go back to standing in the corner, and then 2 games ago, Lin gets to play PG again....strange agenda if it's just to get Harden into the ASG...
They changed it up because McHale saw the tapes and the rest of the team saw the tapes of when they were winning. It was quite obvious that the reason they were winning was because Lin was playing PG and not SG. McHale was forced to go back and see what he did wrong because his ass was on the line if they would have lost another game or two.
No way...let them get the lead down to 15-20 so Jeremy can come back in. He deserves to pad his stats after the terrible treatment he's received from coaches and players alike.
McHale has to take Lin out again when he is hot in the 3rd quarter and he is putting back Harden and Tony Douglas. What the heck is that all about? I really don't get the rotation of Lin. The guy has earned his playing time. Let the kid play Lurch!
I'm not quite sure before but now i get it. McHale doesn't want Lin to have big numbers because there will be pressure for him to focus the offense more on Lin.
Lin's game is affected by his mindset. The Linsanity movie thing got him feeling good along with the re-emphasis on him getting the ball to start plays.
They are a little boring but at least they arent dissing Lin. They said nice things about the Lin movie. They said that Lins 3 TOs a game arent bad. They acknowledge Lins d and gambling on d...
Look at the +/- for the Rockets. Everybody is in their 20+. Parsons and Asik have the highest with 28+ and 25+ followed by Lin and Patterson and then Harden is last.
ok, yall already know this but Lin is such a huge impact on the Rockets even when he is not scoring. He does almost everything well. If people really pay attention to the way he plays, they would understand what he brings to the team. Well he doing well the team is doing well, he is the "motor" of the team.
I don't mind the media saying that. They just read the boxscore.
I mind when McHale and other teammates don't credit Jeremy. And they never do. Even during his 38 pt performance against the Spurs he got light criticism from McHale.
All of the above.... That's the reason why I desperately want Lin traded to another team - and do before they get another superstar they're trying to get to use up their cap space. Basically, I want people to compare apple to apple; let them play with the current roster sans Lin, the way McHale had preferred. About 10 games after trading Lin, they can acquire another star (probably a PF).
I wonder if McHale will put in his bench with a 40 point lead or is he still playing stupid again and keep his starting line up out there in the 4th quarter.
Its regular ink.. it just appears black due their skin pigment. Might not be as aesthetic compared to other races, but tattoos obviously have a deeper meaning rather than a fashion statement (lil wayne)
This must be embarrassing for the Jazz. McHale. Put Harden in the bench he deserves it. Put Lin for first 4 minutes if they lead is still 30 then put all the bench in.
JLin played a GREAT game tonight. It is clear that McHale is willing to let JlIn play point guard. It is also clear that lin is not really looking to score but to facilitate. He only took 5 shots tonight (well, actually 6) and made all 5 for his 12 pts. Can't get more efficient than that.
"Wow, Amazing ball movement by the Rockets, another 3!" Commentators lol. Loving this but can't help it but feel honestly bad for the Jazz. I wonder what the headline will be?
Dmo: Hey Jeremy, can you as the point guard ask McHell to give us some minutes?
Lin: No, but you know what I can do for you is to get an insurmountable lead in the third, then McHell will look like a duffis if he doesn't give his bench some minutes.
It's games like this that commentators have a hard time talking about relevant stuff and hoping the game only ends quicker. It's sad that Houston bench have extended the lead to 40 points. Millsap must be thinking to himself that if he was on the Rockets team he could be having some fun also.
Even though he was a good player who I enjoyed watching when he teamed up with Stockton, Malone, and Mark Eaton, Thurl Bailey gave Lin no credit for the defensive schooling that Lin administered tonight.
I can understand why Thurl Bailey wouldn't recognize nor acknowledge that Lin was the primary reason the Jazz were beat into the ground tonight. To be scored on is one thing, to be defensively shut down by one guy (let alone Jeremy Lin of all people) is something else.
Make no mistake - this historic Jazz Linbarrassment is directly due to Jeremy Lin singlehandedly destroying the Jazz offense.
Ok, I know they are having fun. Maybe too much showboating by Harden, Lin and Parsons! Jazz are gonna remember this. But glad to see Lin finally having fun
It's okay to have fun. They don't ever get to rest and observe the game as a group, Parsons, Harden and Lin. McHale hardly ever put in the bench and this is the first time. Might as well let them be cheerleaders tonight. The Jazz got nobody to blame but themselves. If they would have played better than this wouldn't have happened.
"The team slid by the first two rounds before beating Kentucky 49-45 to capture the 1947 NIT championship title. Misaka played the whole game, holding Ralph Beard, the national player of the year, to just one point."
"He debuted as the first non-Caucasian player in professional basketball in 1947, the same year that Jackie Robinson broke the baseball color line. The first African American did not play in the NBA until three years later in 1950."
Lin was the ONLY reason why Rox were amazing defensively.
The Utah offense targeted Patterson and Harden and went at both of them. However, Lin bailed out both of them the entire game by hawking the ball on every possession.
As good as Lin was, I actually attribute his ability to roam to the lame Utah guards. They just don't have a guard who can really get the job done.
The Utah Jazz sure could've used a Jeremy Lin against Jeremy Lin.
Next game will be an interesting test - at Denver. That loss, Lin's 4th quarter benching, awful, awful game, sparked the current turn-around. It should be a tough game, especially if McHale decides to bench Lin again for the entire fourth.
Morris scares me, his D is suspect and is a fouling machine. Lin is out getting some rest.
ReplyDeleteMarcus Morris is a poorer defending Steve Novak.
DeleteNovak is actually an above average to elite defender, statistically speaking.
ReplyDeleteThey changed it up because McHale saw the tapes and the rest of the team saw the tapes of when they were winning. It was quite obvious that the reason they were winning was because Lin was playing PG and not SG. McHale was forced to go back and see what he did wrong because his ass was on the line if they would have lost another game or two.
DeleteIt's strange how McHell wouldn't shave until after Harden got on the ASG..
DeleteOK - Lin goes to the bench with 29 point lead. Lets see what happens :)
ReplyDeleteEveryone shooting 3s now.
ReplyDeleteAnd bricking.
C'mon don't let up. Send them home with 30+ lead.
No way...let them get the lead down to 15-20 so Jeremy can come back in. He deserves to pad his stats after the terrible treatment he's received from coaches and players alike.
DeleteMcHale has to take Lin out again when he is hot in the 3rd quarter and he is putting back Harden and Tony Douglas. What the heck is that all about? I really don't get the rotation of Lin. The guy has earned his playing time. Let the kid play Lurch!
ReplyDeleteThis is okay. Jeremy has played amazing defense and the lead is so big. It's nice to play the 2nd and 3rd stringers early sometimes.
DeleteNow if Jeremy sits out for the rest of the game...then I'll be angry.
I'm not quite sure before but now i get it. McHale doesn't want Lin to have big numbers because there will be pressure for him to focus the offense more on Lin.
DeleteThey want to stat pat for Harden...Lin's right at his 12 point average so he's good from Mchale's perspective haha....
DeleteLin should have had 14 oh well...
lin has been playing a lot minutes. and today he's hustling like crazy on d. when lin plays 1 min it equals 2 in this game.
DeleteLin's "pep-talk" to Patterson must have worked.
ReplyDeletePatterson hit the floor to tip a loose ball to Jeremy -- SWISH FOR 3.
if the reds can hold the lead until mid 4th, lets give bench some play.
ReplyDeleteYup rest the starers and develop a deeper bench.
DeleteOh yeah, I can't remember the last time the end of the bench got to play some good minutes. That'll be good.
DeleteAgree. There's no reason for any of the starters to play. If the bench can't hold a 30 point lead, they're pathetic.
DeletePut in Motiejunas, Beverley, Anderson and Aldrich already.
Lin's game is affected by his mindset. The Linsanity movie thing got him feeling good along with the re-emphasis on him getting the ball to start plays.
ReplyDeleteHe looks great out there today...
I agree
DeleteI know right, he is remembering his roots and thinking to himself: I FKING EARNED THIS SH*T.
DeleteSo he comes in on top of the world.
5/5 12pts 7 assists 2 rebs 3 steals 3 TOs 24 mins.
All star numbers for 3 quarters.
Darn announcers. I can't tell whether I'm watching basketball or golf.
ReplyDeleteWe're watching ice fishing.
DeleteThey are a little boring but at least they arent dissing Lin. They said nice things about the Lin movie. They said that Lins 3 TOs a game arent bad. They acknowledge Lins d and gambling on d...
DeleteYup they have nice things to say about Lin so I like 'em. :)
Delete+1 on Dave's comment.
DeleteThey are about to give Utah the worst beating this season.
ReplyDeleteHarden should rest now....
ReplyDeleteActually this is the best time to play Harden... when the game is not on the line, so he can iso all he wants.
DeleteLook at the +/- for the Rockets. Everybody is in their 20+. Parsons and Asik have the highest with 28+ and 25+ followed by Lin and Patterson and then Harden is last.
ReplyDeleteHarden is lucky to be at +15.
Deleteok, yall already know this but Lin is such a huge impact on the Rockets even when he is not scoring. He does almost everything well. If people really pay attention to the way he plays, they would understand what he brings to the team. Well he doing well the team is doing well, he is the "motor" of the team.
ReplyDeletesupposed to be...When he is doing well the team is doing well
DeleteAnd, the best part about it is reading the recap following the game and it reads "Harden wins the game".
DeleteWell said,
DeleteI don't mind the media saying that. They just read the boxscore.
DeleteI mind when McHale and other teammates don't credit Jeremy. And they never do. Even during his 38 pt performance against the Spurs he got light criticism from McHale.
The media and McHale's comments should go into Lin's second documentary if there ever is one.
DeleteAll of the above....
DeleteI wonder if McHale will put in his bench with a 40 point lead or is he still playing stupid again and keep his starting line up out there in the 4th quarter.
ReplyDeleteLet Lin SIT.
ReplyDeleteHe totally beat the Jazz by himself in the 2nd half on both ends.
Every time the Jazz tried to shoot, Lin was there. Every time Houston came down the court, Lin either assisted or scored.
Bring him back in the 4th quarter, and only if necessary!
AND ONE!!! Lol someone was loud!
ReplyDeleteHe makes this and its official, worst lead by opposing team this season to Utah goes to Rox.
33, now 34 lol :)
Oh bs that basket didn't count oh well.
DeleteMorris brings in the coffin, 33pts!
bench warmers get ready!
ReplyDeleteUtah announcer: "They're having fun right now"
ReplyDeleteSpaceballs!!! (if anyone gets it)
ReplyDeleteRandom bored racist observation: Why do black people use black ink for their tatoos?
ReplyDeleteIts regular ink.. it just appears black due their skin pigment. Might not be as aesthetic compared to other races, but tattoos obviously have a deeper meaning rather than a fashion statement (lil wayne)
Delete100 bucks say chinese channels feature this in their news today. Esp Taiwan.
ReplyDeleteWow 34pt lead going into 4th.
it would be crazy if i don't see dmo but Harden starts at 4th
ReplyDeleteThis must be embarrassing for the Jazz. McHale. Put Harden in the bench he deserves it. Put Lin for first 4 minutes if they lead is still 30 then put all the bench in.
ReplyDeleteYou know Foye and Watson is hella mad at Lin.
ReplyDeleteHe treating them like scrubs...Like "I leave you wide open I DARE you to shoot those 3s!"
:)
Deleteonly if the rockets can always lead by 30 going into the 4th that will be awesome.
ReplyDeleteOkay, call in the reserves. 34 point lead is safe.
ReplyDeleteThe bench is starting the fourth. Hurray, McHale finally got it. I think he feels comfortable with a 35 point lead.
ReplyDeleteOk, this is done. Let's watch some D-League game. JK JK. Put montijuantas in please!
ReplyDeleteThis game is done for. ALL HAIL TO THE FACILITATOR! That's my boy J.LIN y'all!! JEREMY LIN... remember the name! hahaha... good job :D
ReplyDeleteLin -> Brains!
DeleteHarden -> Muscles!
HardLiners -> Awesome!
Hahaha... Dynamic Backcourt Duo!
DeleteSTEREOTYPES!! Just kidding.
Deleteso boring when lin's not playing.
ReplyDeleteYeah - Im not even watching anymore. Just reading stuff.
DeleteBTW:
Linsanity kickstarter now has 828 backers -> 80,782 USD -> 69% with 17 days to go!
willy is the official kickstarter reporter :)
Delete:) Im just bored :)
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteOh, thanks for reminding me to donate. My ex-girlfriend(now girl-for-a-friend), who doesn't know anything about Jeremy Lin, will donate too.
DeleteEh. I still want to see Jeremy back in.
ReplyDeleteHe gets no respect for his intangibles. Need to pump up those stats.
Also, it's good for the 2nd and 3rd stringers to play with a REAL POINT GUARD on the floor. It's good for their development.
what 4? he done super tonite already.
DeleteMaybe bring him back from 8-minute mark to the 2-minute mark.
DeleteLet him have some fun with D-Mo and Smith.
it's a long season. longer if rockets make it to post season.
DeleteThere is NO reason to bring Lin or any other starter back in to the game. Rest them up for the next game.
DeleteYeah, now that it's 40 pt lead, it's just tempting fate.
DeleteI can see someone injuring Jeremy out of frustration late.
At least his PER will go up nicely even if his game averages don't.
milsap & jefferson is probably thinking get me outta here and trade me to the rockets.
ReplyDeleteGreat win tonight. Shows how dangerous Houston can be when everything clicks.
ReplyDeleteGood night, everyone!
Hey y'alll its garbage time.
ReplyDeleteOnly 6 TOs so far I hope bench don't fk that up.
ReplyDeletewow, james anderson in.
ReplyDeleteBig al is about to cry.
ReplyDeleteThis is gang rape, almost feel bad for them.
anderson with a fadeaway right off the bench. nice.
ReplyDeleteHe did his thing tonight. 100% fga. Well deserved rest for the rest of the game.
ReplyDeleteLMAO BEVERLEY WITH THE STEAL.
ReplyDeleteThis might just go over 40pts.
it's so clear when harden shoots lets, the rockets play better...take a note from kobe..team ball always beats hero ball.
ReplyDeleteWOW ANDERSON WITH THE EURO FAKE.
ReplyDeleteanderson for 3. he's sumthin'
ReplyDeleteOkay...maybe sit Lin out, LOL.
ReplyDeleteFORTY POINTS, LORDY, LORDY.
anderson can pass out of traffic too. he's a good pick up.
ReplyDelete41PT LEAD!
ReplyDeleteParsons and Harden laughing and dancing LMAO!!!
Great shot of Lin Harden and Parsons having fun on the bench cheering for their teammates. That's what I wanna see!!!
ReplyDeleteEverybody got positives on the Houston team tonight including the bench. Delfino has a higher + than Harden. Hahahaha.
ReplyDeleteAnd on the opposite side, Utah got all negatives. Alec Burke got -33.
DeleteWow the starters are really clapping and cheering for the bench.
ReplyDeletelove the energy:)
ReplyDeleteMan, I know Harden, Parsons and Lin are having fun but I feel bad for the Jazz. Man. 106-64? Wow.. :'(
ReplyDeleteGreat to see Harden, Lin and Parsons hollered and cheered their backup players with 2 straight offensive rebounds and a long 3!
ReplyDeleteThis is going on front page of NBA.
ReplyDeleteJazz is going to want revenge. They got played HARD.
Lin the destroyer!
"Wow, Amazing ball movement by the Rockets, another 3!" Commentators lol. Loving this but can't help it but feel honestly bad for the Jazz. I wonder what the headline will be?
ReplyDeleteis that d-mo i just saw.
ReplyDeleteJeremy was the best player on the floor tonight on both ends.
ReplyDeleteOf course, McHale will probably credit Harden and Asik...maybe he won't even mention Jeremy unless asked directly.
He'll be fine...
DeleteHehehehe. Is that you, Kevin?
Deletewho cares. lin is not about recognition. he likes to lay low anywayz.
DeleteLOL :) Anouncers talk about "JLin and the Rockets". At least the they acknowledge Lins performance :)
DeleteYes, just like Jeremy, I am my own worst critic.
DeleteGo the bench....!!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see Anderson and DMo on the court! I think they'll be solid players
ReplyDeletedmo is skinny. he's needs 2 put on some weight.
ReplyDelete+1
Deleted-mo got better low post moves than asik and smith but he's too skinny to bang with strong big men. he needs to bulk up.
ReplyDeleteI love how they keep showing Lin. ha ha.
ReplyDeleteIt's like they're playing a high school team!
ReplyDelete+2
DeleteDmo: Hey Jeremy, can you as the point guard ask McHell to give us some minutes?
ReplyDeleteLin: No, but you know what I can do for you is to get an insurmountable lead in the third, then McHell will look like a duffis if he doesn't give his bench some minutes.
Jazz's home court loss point difference record may break tonight
ReplyDelete46 pt lead so far... :)
DeleteThis is honestly the biggest lead I have ever seen in an NBA game it has to be a record. BTW, Montiajuntas 3!
ReplyDeleteIt's games like this that commentators have a hard time talking about relevant stuff and hoping the game only ends quicker. It's sad that Houston bench have extended the lead to 40 points. Millsap must be thinking to himself that if he was on the Rockets team he could be having some fun also.
ReplyDeleteThurl Bailey is one of the Utah analysts.
ReplyDeleteEven though he was a good player who I enjoyed watching when he teamed up with Stockton, Malone, and Mark Eaton, Thurl Bailey gave Lin no credit for the defensive schooling that Lin administered tonight.
They are just adding insult to injury now.
ReplyDeleteGo for 50!
Rox are bullying Jazz now. Its a total humiliation!
DeleteOk, I know they are having fun. Maybe too much showboating by Harden, Lin and Parsons! Jazz are gonna remember this. But glad to see Lin finally having fun
ReplyDeleteThat's true. It's like they are trying to hard.
DeleteIt's okay to have fun.
DeleteJazz bench look like they are going into the 5th hour of a physics lecture.
ReplyDeleteLOL
Delete!
Deletecmon 2 more for 50!
ReplyDeleteAldrich!!!
ReplyDeletethis game is really boring.
ReplyDeleteI dunno, after that losing streak I'm enjoying this. It's good to see Lin smile. First time this season?
DeleteBoring!???
DeleteI enjoyed the first half and most of the third quarter, the fourth quarter feels like a pre-season game.
DeleteC'mon TD get another 3 and join ur brethren in double digits! You will make 7!
ReplyDeleteLol their post game is going to be all about Jeremy Lin's meet with the first asian NBA player.
ReplyDeleteSo sad!
I like that :) Wat Misaka -> Hero!
DeleteMillsap is saying to himself:
ReplyDeleteI AM JOINING ROCKETS!!!
50 !!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOK -> 45. Anouncer said its worst loss in team history...
DeleteYEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteBiggest home loss in team history...50 or was it 51pt lead in last minute? LOLOL!!!!
LOLOLOLOLOL THEY ARE CHEERING ROCKETS WHEN TD SCORED.
ReplyDeleteAll those people who stuck around have to be Rox (Lin) fans!
DeleteYeah there were cheers for Lin when he scored. Definitely heard it.
DeleteIt was at one point a 50 point lead. The Jazz made it respectable by cutting it down to 45 with a three at the end of regulation.
ReplyDeleteThat last shot was unnecessary the clock shot was off already.
ReplyDeleteCome on give them a break this is the first time they really got to play this season.
DeleteWat Misaka unceremoniously cut by Knicks.
ReplyDeleteYep. Im checking his wiki page right now. Quote:
Delete"The team slid by the first two rounds before beating Kentucky 49-45 to capture the 1947 NIT championship title.
Delete"Misaka declined an offer to play with the all-black Harlem Globetrotters, and he returned home to earn a degree in engineering from Utah."
DeleteI am also reading that he beat my alma mater for the NCAA championship. Lol.
Deletewe did it....lead by 50.....for a second!
ReplyDeleteRox were just waiting for the 50. They were all on their feet cheering.
DeleteGuys, let's review this smiles from last year in Knicks.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bk6v1m9dJ9M
We can see this again tonight with the Rockets team. Please keep this going forever. Go Rockets. Go HardLin.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bk6v1m9dJ9M
beautiful music, thanks so much.
DeleteThis is Linsanity deja vu all over again. Linsanity started around this time with two wins against the Nets and the Jazz.
ReplyDeletethis is what morey tweeted after the brook win:
ReplyDelete"Impressive W vs BKN-hit all 8 of our O goals. Will have 2hit more D goals 2beat UTH tomorrow. Lots of potential playoff implications vs UTH"
did we hit more d goals 2nite? i think so and lin was the reason why.
i'm awaiting morey's tweet 2nite.
DeleteLin was the ONLY reason why Rox were amazing defensively.
DeleteThe Utah offense targeted Patterson and Harden and went at both of them.
Jeremy Lin with 100% shooting. lol.
ReplyDeleteHarden, Rockets roll in 45-point rout of Jazz
ReplyDeletethe headline. typical nba headline with typical words like "rout", "crush"..whatever that..etc. nothing new.
It should say, "Jazz prevented Lin from having double-double by keeping him on the bench!"
DeleteNext game will be an interesting test - at Denver. That loss, Lin's 4th quarter benching, awful, awful game, sparked the current turn-around. It should be a tough game, especially if McHale decides to bench Lin again for the entire fourth.
ReplyDeletethat was b4 rockets got their mojo back. it's a new rockets team now.
DeleteHope they bring confidence from this game. But not overconfidence. Denver is 17-3 at home. Gonna be tough no matter what.
Deletelin will crush the nuggets so bad on wed that javal will not be able to add and subtract afterwards.
DeleteWow - Jazz coach looks really uncomfortable!
ReplyDeleteWataru Misaka and Jeremy Lin meeting made me emotional. Dangit!!
ReplyDeleteMissed the game, darn it... Who has highlight?
ReplyDelete
