    Let's go JLin!

    Let's go Rockets!

  2. Beware of stat pad General Vasquez and don't let E-Gor catch fire

Oh and Lin must also be careful for hard fouls

  3. My favorite defensive play yesterday is when Jeremy went for the steal on Nash with 2 hands and got a jump ball. Great play by JLin.

    1. My favorite offensive play was Jeremy's cross over drive on World Peace in the fourth quarter.

    2. My favorite play was when he got knocked down for the and-1 and proceeded to do his Braveheart impersonation.

    3. My favorite moment was also the "Braveheart" cry after the being fouled by Sacre and all Rockets players came to help him up.

Linsanity is back! Loved the team chemistry.

Hopefully the Rox will sustain the high energy after this emotional win. Sometimes there is a bit letdown after a big win.

Also, there was a plane scare due to turbulence according to CF thread. Jeremy was heard screaming along with another dude. Hopefully they're doing all right.

      @psalm - plane scare, landed safely, no [bad] follow-up news -> they're ok. :)

See, this is where words get twisted around and misrepresented. I'm pretty sure he was teaching his teammates the Braveheart cry.

    8. That jumpball was as good as a steal because Lin will always win the jump against Nash.

    9. @Nom,

Exactly. I think the media tried to cover up the fact that the Braveheart scream exercise from Jeremy and teammates startled the pilot causing some turbulence. "FREEDOM!!!!"

      :)

  4. When the Suns drafted Robin Lopez, I was SO MAD.

I was like "They just drafted a lottery BUST who's going to fail the team." And that is exactly what happened.

What really enraged me was that ROY HIBBERT was available! I wanted the Suns to draft Hibbert and bring him up behind Amare Stoudemire and Shaquille O'Neal. My belief was that Hibbert was THE NEXT great Georgetown center like Ewing or Mourning or Mutombo, and that's exactly what Hibbert had become.

I am happy that Robin Lopez has developed well under Monty Williams in NO. He now is a solid starting center that has to be boxed out off the boards. Asik has to let General Greivis drive on Lin and block out Robin Lopez from getting putbacks.

  5. Heard that Sampson was sorry to see Skyle get fired from the Bucks head coach position since he was under Skyle for 3 years or so. If the Rockets are lucky enough, Sampson might be considered a candidate for the Bucks job. On another note, this forum was discussing how Dragic and Lowry would have been a better fit for the Rockets this year playing besides Harden than Lin is. They used all sorts of analogies to define Lin and Dragic. My favorite was the pretty wife analogy who left her husband for another man in Phoenix who was willing to give her a vacation, but instead found out that he was a loser and now is stuck with him in Phoenix.

Go go Ron Jeremy Lin. He needs to go hard, fast and with precision tonight. No misfirings.

    3. Dreamshake article is crap....this person clearly hasn't been watching the Rockets. He states two/three things that are trash: (1) Asik has been a defensive force - ie 1.1 blocks does not indicate a defensive stopper (2) Jlin not worth 8 million (3) Dragic is a better fit for this time. The fact of the matter is the Suns stink and Jlin is on a winning team doing far better than anyone expected. How do you even get close to justifying Dragic is a better fit?

I agree the paragraph on Lin is "trash". I completely disagree about Asik and Delfino, though.

Delfino has the highest +/- on the team (196). He's done this playing just half the minutes as Harden. There is something about him... maybe it's the veteran thing, i don't know. I just know it works, regardless of what we "see".

Asik is 3rd, just 4 points behind Harden (121 and 125 respectively). I've seen Asik's offensive game; that's not where he's getting his +/- from.

We would be nowhere near where we are today if it wasn't for all three of the players mentioned in the article.

    6. Delfino is having a career year with the highest 39.2% 3PT average due to the Harden and Lin effect. He got so many assists for his 3PTs from Harden and Lin.

Credit him for being a good 3PT shooter with 36.5% 3PT career average but how many times he is left so wide open due to excellent ball movement, spacing and pinpoint passes? Exactly.

But compare him Novak who is a great 3PT shooter with 43.8% 3PT career average.

Check out the Lin-Novak connection. Last season, Novak averaged 44.7% 3PT in 54 games but he averaged 48.7% 3PT in 30 games playing with JLin. It's 4% more! Lin simply makes his teammates better.

Granted Delfino has good PG skill that Novak doesn't have but credit needs to be shared with Harden and Lin for his career year!

The dreamshake writer has completely turned a blind eye of Lin's greatest contribution to make his teammates better. This Dreamshake writer is no LatinoPost writer.

His 3pt% is even more ridiculous when you look at it from just the last 5 games - 61.3% from beyond the arc. Unsustainable, but let's hope he comes back down to earth in a game when others can keep the pace, rather than depending on him for, to use Lin's words, "instant offense".

    8. True.

He didn't do so well (0-4 3PT) against NOH the last time so I want to see if he has more open space to shoot tonight. #Linstant Offense#

  6. Get this one and 22-14. Almost there for 4 seed. Btw, Lebron James also have 7 tos yesterday. Good luck to Jeremy and his team! Getting better and better.

    1. 7 TOs and lost to Pacers lol. I'd take the 7 TOs of Jeremy with a win

    2. Ahuh! Even an elite player like Lebron makes ugly tos like this. Luckily they won. Or else I believe lin's tos will blame really hard from fans. With that said still hope to see more improvement in the future with less tos.

  7. Just saying this:

Carlos DelThreeNo + Jeremy Lin + James Harden = best play maker combination.

Carlos was a point guard in his old days and can be a great facilitator.

He should always the one that end the 4th quarter

  8. Q: Is Houston going to be active in the trade market as the deadline nears?

Chad Ford [1:17 PM]: Hearing yes in a major way. They like their backcourt and feel that they are set at the five. Upgrading the 4 looks like the biggest priority ... but could also look to upgrade at the 3 (though Chandler Parsons is having a good season). Rockets still have a number of young assets to offer.

  10. From the article:

"Smith has a very respectable 20. 36 Player Efficiency Rating in the NBA this year"

Very respectable? What kind of standards/expectations does this writer have?

  11. Hopefully Lin isn't gassed from last night's game. He's already started 10 more games than he did last year for the Knicks.
