That was a loose rebound that he scrambled for, didn't get possession and yet he got punished with a TO. Weird scoring rules. That should just be a rebound for Vazquez.
i think that's good i expect Rockets to be a bit sloppy today because of the B2B so if hornets is also sloppy then maybe it could turn out like the game against Minny.
The refs are calling it for NO otherwise Rox would blow them out. Look at all the moving screens for the Rox. NO is doing the same exact thing and the Rox players are called for defensive foul on top of it...
It's like the Minn. game. probably going to go down to the wire...
The entire team is off today since it's a b2b. Hope they get yelled at and wake up in the 2nd half. They can't even make layups...also the refs have it out for the Rox today on moving screens, 50/50 calls, and offensive fouls...
Even the NO Hornets announcers agreed it wasn't a foul on Lin and the play with Harden gotten pushed out it was a foul on Gordon. Damn ref are stinking this game up.
when they were calling moving screens against Rox only, it was already blatantly obvious, but most fair-weather fans don't notice. Those weak swing calls were bad enough. But the refs basically decided to call all 50/50 calls against the Rox and just make fake calls as you pointed out that are so blatant it makes the NBA look bad...
You guys sound confused. This is the NBA and why people claim the NBA is rigged and the refs bet on games.
I think the directive from the NBA is that the Rox are too hot and too good, so they need to make calls against the ROX to slow them down.
Not sure how Lin's layup could be called a charge, but it sure seems to happen to Lin ALOT in the NBA, for WHATEVER reason. That's almost so blatant it's ridiculous, but the refs were given a clear agenda and they will carry it all the way to the end.
This is a low scoring affair that will be decided in the last 1 or 2 minutes and one team will hits a few shots that makes all the difference. Typical NBA scripted stuff...
If refs give bad calls because they were given orders to -> that would mean that the NBA is a mafia organisation.
Its possible - but its unlikely. Why? Because of the big number of "officials" needed to make this happen. Who is making the decissions? Who is analizing the games? Who gives out the orders? Can all refs and ex-refs keep their mouths shut? Can the NBA be that criminal? I dont think so.
Im going with the "refs are betting on the game" or "refs are being paid" theory. Why? Because that is what happened in europe (soccer).
Very simple -> betting shops analyze the stakes, call their refs and manipulate games to their advantage. This way they maximize their profits. Big profits - but not many people involved...
There was a case where a soccer-ref was showing off and counting money (big bills) in the locker room right after a game (stupid). It turned out that he was working for a betting shop. Investigations revealed that the betting shop owner (I think in Germany) ran a whole network (lots of shops, lots of refs, in lots of countries).
Of course - soccer games are easier to manipulate because one goal can make a huge difference. However - if you see a trend (refs making a series of badass calls)...
That was such a horrible call. I swear sometimes I believe Stern calls the ref's to make sure he gives certain teams the ability to win. Why do I watch the NBA at all?
McHale needs to get into his Bigs to rebound rebound rebound and for the guards and everybody else to box out. #1 priority is rebound and stop running up the court. They are all working on a b2b and going to have tired legs. Rebounds = chance to score.
Lin's 3 ball still looking good. Refs are screwing not only Lin but Harden too. They clearly got paid or are trying to get paid for this. Even the Hornets announcers are calling out the refs. Hilarious. Lin will end with 17pts
Delfino "blocking foul". Harden "travel". Lin "charge".
Am I missing anything?
NO the slowest paced team in the NBA, we all know who's #1. Play at our pace in the second half and we should be fine. We get beat when someone on the other team goes ape; NO doesn't have anyone who can do that.
well if its any consolation the rockets are still leading and with their track records these past few games they usually launched an all out attack in the 3rd and fourth. And Asik better get his groove back at least on the rebounding department or Rockets might start again on Howard.
Sloppy game and vazquez always seems to give lin trouble...14pts 11 ast already, let's see lin dominate the last frame and pull out a convincing victory

DeleteLin to Asik PnR...brick
ReplyDeletebut I don't mind. Keep feeding him until the playoffs. Lin will hopefully get some consistent Asik baskets by then
Jlin quick steal and burst draws team foul!
ReplyDeleteSideshow Bob clowning Asik
Jlin lost handles, TO
Jlin open look but brick for 3. Good ball movement and process nevertheless
ReplyDeleteSideshow Bob over Asik 3x
ReplyDeleteAsik doesn't get low, let ball roll all the way to midcourt, Jlin hustle dive
ReplyDeletegotta get them Sampson points with those hustle dives
DeleteJeremy - bleeding again :)
ReplyDeleteA good sign!
Deletehustlin
DeleteLast time it was a dragon... now it's a gong? -_-
DeleteWHAT a PRETTY euro step by Jlin!
ReplyDeleteWas that a "Lin eurostep"???
ReplyDeleteHarden must have taught him that!
DeleteOr Lin is a copy-cat 8)
DeleteAbout time Lin added that move to his game!
Deleteleft hand no doubt.
DeleteFave Son tried to posterize but stripped! haha
ReplyDeleteJlin picked by a big, leads to easy pentration bucket
ReplyDeleteAwww... better PnR defense by Jlin leads to new orleans brick
ReplyDeleteHow does Jeremy get a TO on that jumpball? LOL.
ReplyDeleteThat was a loose rebound that he scrambled for, didn't get possession and yet he got punished with a TO. Weird scoring rules. That should just be a rebound for Vazquez.
wow - I didnt even notice that. I thought he had only 1 TO but you are right. Boxscore says 2
DeleteRox offense no flow
ReplyDeleteAlways takes them a quarter to figure it out.
DeleteJlin TO trying to pass through legs to Fave Son
ReplyDeleteNeed rebounders!
ReplyDelete3TO already!
ReplyDeleteOne was BS, though. A jumpball on a rebound.
DeleteDon't care about TOs as long as he attacks and wins.
Agree!
Deleteouthustled NO gets another possession and Grevis scores on Lin on a post up-- up n under
ReplyDeleteThat should have been a foul b4 charge on Harden.
ReplyDelete2 picks on Jlin trying to get Grevis free. They are making Jlin battle the "ray Allen" type of screens to wear him out
ReplyDeleteWow they are stopping harden today
ReplyDeleteWow they are stopping harden today
ReplyDeleteRockets always seem to start off slow.
ReplyDeletehope that don't become a habit
DeleteHarden looks out of it and uninterested. Does McHale have enough balls to sit Harden to send a message?
ReplyDelete80 million 5 yr versus McHale. Nope
DeleteHarden wants to be like Lin, turn it on in the 2nd half.
DeleteGuess I was a bit rash. Looks like Harden is awake, but Toney Douglas now getting roasted on D by going under screens.
DeleteHarden is the message on the ROX
DeleteDelfino airball so bad it knocked out the telecast!
ReplyDeleteDelfino airballing? More poisoned sausage for the man!
ReplyDeleteYEAH!! Another Rockets Game!! Damn, this is already becoming a daily habbit :D
ReplyDeleteNO looks prepared today... Hope houston blows them out in the 3rd Quarter :D haha
cant watch the game. Who's guarding Vasquez??
ReplyDeleteWow can these announcers sound any less excited?
ReplyDeleteThey really have monotonous voices... thats especailly tough for me cause its night time here. They make me feel sleepy.
DeleteI agree. I hate their voices. This ain't a golf game!!
DeleteIt's Harden time with Jlin on bench for rest
ReplyDeleteGreg Smith blocks a tweener!
ReplyDeleteHarden v. Rivers--he should ISO all the time! Come on now, it's not even fair!
ReplyDeleteLol NOH imploding...
ReplyDeleteGoodness 8 TOs in 1st quarter...Hornets with 6, both playing sloppy.
ReplyDeletei think that's good i expect Rockets to be a bit sloppy today because of the B2B so if hornets is also sloppy then maybe it could turn out like the game against Minny.
DeleteJLin v. Rivers, and Rivers goes by him but bricks. Poor rebounding lets them get a putback bucket
ReplyDeleteanother slow start for Rockets, another bleeding for Jeremy...
ReplyDeleteon the lighter side, we are not the only thinking of food when we see the Rockets on the floor:
Houston Rockets @HoustonRockets
Rockets in their ketchup and mustard uni's again as we are underway. TV- @CSNHouston Radio- @SportsTalk790
Hornets' floor look like cake with lots of pastel icing. so the ketchup/hotdog and mustard guys playing on top of a cake...
too bad i cant see it. lol
DeleteJLin in corner creating. Pretty dish to 54 but he makes it more difficult by twisting and doing crazy shot.
ReplyDeleteJLin gets rebound while sprawled on the floor! Elite! or HOU bigs just that bad!
ReplyDeleteHOU bigs just that bad.
Deletewell that's one way of doing interior D when you don't have intimidation or shot blocking. Take charges or commit blocking fouls depending on refs.
ReplyDeleteHow was that not charging didn't Delfino have both feet planted?
ReplyDeleteI think he was a little late... Im not sure though
DeleteThe refs are calling it for NO otherwise Rox would blow them out. Look at all the moving screens for the Rox. NO is doing the same exact thing and the Rox players are called for defensive foul on top of it...
DeleteIt's like the Minn. game. probably going to go down to the wire...
Rivers wild shot against JLin but 3 HOU players give up long rebound against 1 NO player.
ReplyDeleteand another hustle offensive board by NO
ReplyDeleteLin and Delfino are the only Rockets willing to take a charge.
ReplyDeleteParsons seems lost tonight.
ReplyDeleteDelfino - no matter what - always with a funny facial expression ;)
ReplyDeletelol, true
DeleteGotta give it to delfino he's playing hard.
ReplyDeleteRox getting outrebounded
ReplyDeleteGrevis wants postup against Lin. Grevis not afraid of Jlin's post up D, JLin gets called for reach in
ReplyDeleteIs it me or Rockets look real slow today? 4th TO by Lin...
ReplyDeleteWow Vasquez floppin lol
Vasquez going up for a shot? PLEASE REFS...ball don't lie.
ReplyDeleteJlin nice headfake but cannot finish inside
ReplyDeleteWhat happen with the shot clock?
ReplyDeleteHa Mchale told Lin to shoot the 3 with 2 seconds left on the clock instead of driving in and putting up a half-ass layup after the clock expires...
ReplyDeleteGot to agree with Mchale. Shoot the 3 or pull up before the clock expires...
Yep. Otherwise drive freaking earlier...
DeleteJlin at -10 1/4 shooting 3 TOs...Oh boy here we go another bad 1st half for Lin.
Make a layup!
ReplyDeleteJlin pass deflected trying to pass to Fave Son. Had open 3 ptr.
ReplyDeleteLin
ReplyDeleteHarden
Parsons
Delfino
Patterson
What's up with this line up Coach Mchale??? Another 3pt line up perhaps?? hahaha
Harden nice pass fake in the paint
ReplyDeleteGood play there. Fake Lin PnR to Morris who hands off to Harden inside.
ReplyDeleteBeard stabilizing the HOU offense back to back buckets
OH WOW HE DID NOT STEP ON LINE! GO LIN!
ReplyDeleteJlin hesistation and drives along the baseline but nobody open or cutting, all spot up behind arc. So wasted possession
ReplyDelete3 ball!!
ReplyDeleteJlin misses open 3
ReplyDeleteHarden PnR takes on two NO players!
ReplyDeleteLol I knew that one wasn't going in, Lin like rocketed that ball.
ReplyDeleteLol announcer waas like
ReplyDelete"good pass" (vasquez throws into paint)
"too high" (except it was way to ohigh lol)
HOU letting them have too many offensive boards. 34-31, wow, just sloppy
ReplyDeleteThey look hella slow no hustle...There was one posession where ball was knocked loose on HOU side, parsons just looks at it and anderson picks it up.
DeleteLol
Hornets have good rebounders, Patterson, Morris and Parsons need to block out!
DeleteThe entire team is off today since it's a b2b. Hope they get yelled at and wake up in the 2nd half. They can't even make layups...also the refs have it out for the Rox today on moving screens, 50/50 calls, and offensive fouls...
ReplyDeleteLOL--Hou just gave up back to back offensive boards to sideshow bob and some random player.
ReplyDeleteAsik wtf lol no rebounding on defense.
ReplyDelete12 TOs so far sigh.
ReplyDeleteThat's Eric Gordon, max player? weird NBA contracts. First time I've seen him play.
ReplyDeletehe just came back from injury
DeleteGreat - Harden gets pushed out of bound -> TO? WTF? Dumb refs!
ReplyDeleteWTF MAN THAT IS A FOUL FKING REFS IS BULLSHIT
ReplyDeleteREFS are blind. WOW!
ReplyDeleteWTF MAN THAT WAS A CHARGE?!? HIS FEET WAS IN THE RESTRICTED ZONE!!!
ReplyDeleteFKING BULLSHIT REFS
Rox were given a hand full of BS calls so far...
DeletePlus he wasn't set. Should have been a foul on Lopez!
DeleteRefs screwing up big time!
DeleteThat was supposed to be a 2 and 1...WTF REFS.
DeleteAt least 4 BS calls on Rox so far, corrupt ass refs.
couldn't they go check the replay on that one?
Deletelol...even new orleans commentators saying that was a BS call on lin
ReplyDeleteEven the NO Hornets announcers agreed it wasn't a foul on Lin and the play with Harden gotten pushed out it was a foul on Gordon. Damn ref are stinking this game up.
ReplyDeleteTIM DONAGHY
ReplyDeleteTIM DONAGHY
TIM DONAGHY
TIM DONAGHY
Jeremy has only 2 TOs this game. Refs bullshit.
Yep. Corruption.
DeleteCan you bet on bball games in the US? Im pretty sure some of the refs have made bets and are now trying to "make it happen"! Damn!
DeleteOf course you can bet on games! It's a MULTI-BILLION dollar industry.
DeleteIn the US, you can even bet on the gender of Kanye and Kim's baby...seriously.
these refs tonight..
ReplyDeleteRefs are killing this game. There is money to be made from this game with bottom feeder against a hot team.
ReplyDeletethey may have money on the Hornet
DeleteOne of the announcers is objective, the other is awful.
Delete"Hornets doing a good job"
ReplyDeleteOMG the REFS are doing a good job for the Hornets team.
Most BS calls ever.
This is why I didn't watch the NBA before Lin.
ReplyDeleteIt's all corruption. Either Jeremy's the wrong skin color, or the refs have money on the game.
It's such an easy game to rig -- TIM DONAGHY, anyone??? -- and most b-ball fans are clueless.
Same here. I stopped watching NBA games years ago - then came Linsanity...
Deletewhen they were calling moving screens against Rox only, it was already blatantly obvious, but most fair-weather fans don't notice. Those weak swing calls were bad enough. Rockets not playing great but are still up 2. Hopefully the last terrible calls will get them fired up for the second half.
ReplyDeleteThat was such a horrible call. I swear sometimes I believe Stern calls the ref's to make sure he gives certain teams the ability to win. Why do I watch the NBA at all?
ReplyDeleteLin is why we watch! It's great to see a guy triumph over a thousand unfair obstacles and a million racist haters and lead his team victory.
DeleteThe game of basketball is not fair today.
ReplyDeleteThis game just poorly called, that push off on JLin was awful
DeleteIt will get made up if the refs are professional.
DeleteI'm just glad that call on JLin ended at the half, not end of game.
Not that makeup calls (which is wrong in principle) to right a wrong should be condoned.
DeleteBut they are humans and have to use imperfect blunt instruments
McHale needs to get into his Bigs to rebound rebound rebound and for the guards and everybody else to box out. #1 priority is rebound and stop running up the court. They are all working on a b2b and going to have tired legs. Rebounds = chance to score.
ReplyDeleteLOL Lin and Harden combine for 8 TOs thanks to total bs reffing. 14 TOs on Rockets so far.
ReplyDeleteCrap crap crap.

ReplyDeleteWhat, no dunk?
ReplyDeleteSaving his legs. He will dunk emphatically in the 4th when he wants.
DeleteYeah baby DOMINATE THIS WEAK TEAM PLZ.
ReplyDeletePut them and the cheating refs in their place.
PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ
6 game win streak you can do it Rocketmen!
