  1. Jeremy evades traps better than Harden

    1. I think he got more experience being double and triple teamed during linsanity last season..Harden will learn as he goes, just like Jeremy.

  2. ack.. a lot of Rockets now are losing their control on ball handling

    ReplyDelete
  3. Is anyone noticing this? Rockets get rebound Lin runs down. It's a 5 vs 2. The other 3 rockets are jogging back. I guess Celtics know about the fast break. The question is, is McHale ready for this type of defense. Harden is forcing too much. Rockets are not play team ball right now.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Why can't they just let Lin handle the ball and make plays instead everyone tries to be a hero and turns it over?

    1. Could take another season for them to figure that out

    2. Will be interesting to see how McHale adjusts to the defensive adjustments teams are making on ROX now...

  5. not much ball movement for Rockets...easy to trap..

    ReplyDelete
  6. say it again? Lin cannot stay with Rondo.... yeah, he stripped the ball off Rondo

    ReplyDelete
  7. I hate to tell you guys this, but the Rockets are not good at catching up this late in the game. This could be a game to either pad your stats and rest the starters.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Jeremy Lin with 0 turnovers.. wow am I looking at the stat sheet correctly? :)

    ReplyDelete
  9. Lin so far 0 turn over! Very nice!

  10. Lin doing it all by trying to block out a big man from getting the ball and got called for the foul.

    1. it's just a 12 point lead in going to the 4th... still plenty of time..

  11. Great defense on Courtney Cox Lee to force a TO out of bounds.

  12. I told you, Linsanity mode. He saw that Harden didn't have it tonight and being more aggressive.

    ReplyDelete
  13. To be honest - I would love to see more Lin/TD since TDs D is better than Hardens.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Well here is my idea for the 4th quarter. Push the pace. Harden stop hugging the ball when you are being double team. I havn't seen delfino taking a 3 pointer. When Lin went to the paint the put three man in him. So Celtics are closing the paint not letting Lin and Harden get down there. They need someone to heat up from the 3 points line to open up the paint a bit and then get Lin and harden in. Or get Lin and harden in and kick it to the open man but they need to make the three. Harden has a been Horrible tonight. I don't care that he has 17 pts. Because it has been some ugly 17 points.

Rockets are also losing in the free throw line. Asik can't hit a free throw for his life. Seriouslly...

I hope we win tonight and tomorrow. We need every win we can get.

    1. Well they started doing what I said, and then went back to nothing... I hate to see that. You make the lead just by 2 and then let Celtics get back in the game. BTW Officiating is really bad tonight.

  15. What a bad call. Green headlock Delfino.

  16. Sausage man not doing anything tonight.

    3. The Knicks are playing like that 8-15 team pre Linsanity. :-p

  18. Wow - all of a sudden they have defense!

  19. Wow, a 14 - 2 run by the Rockets. Parsons slamming it down with authority over Pope Paul Pierce.

    1. Lin has been doing well tonight. I sure hope he gets to play in 4th - but please - not without TD.

On the other hand - Rox are hot - never touch a running system! If Rox win it for Lin - thats nice as well.

      Delete
    2. Man, if celtics are going to play PG tight, bring Lin back in so he can drive!!!!

      Delete
    3. Rox arent hot any longer. LIN PLEASE!

      Delete
  21. Yes, he will. He is still resting up. Getting his energy for the 4th.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Let's go Rockets! We got to win this one!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Ah good run by the Rox. JLin should come in and finish this off. C'mon JLin. Be selfish for 6 mins and Rox will win this game .

    ReplyDelete
  24. kudos to bench for picking this up!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Looks like Lin may be on the bench all 4Q. Will be interesting if they put him in around 5 min mark to let him have a go or not...knowing the coaches, I doubt it....

    ReplyDelete
  26. If this group plays well. Lin will sit the rest of the 4th. Mchale don't care how good Lin has played.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Celtics announcers on TD's nuts....

    ReplyDelete
  28. Idiot McHale still benching Lin...

    ...that's his reward for playing a near-perfect all-around game.

    1. Fucking people give too much credit to the coach cuz they've been winning but to me they didn't do shit. Here's their game plan, bring the ball up , give it to Harden, that's one play. Bring the ball up, give it to Delfuckingfino and pray that he didn't turn it over and his 3 will fall, that's 2nd play. Let Parson take it coast to coast and pray that he doesn't turn it over. C'mon man, the coaches haven't done shit. Tell me if i'm wrong.

  29. Oh gosh - whats with ROx ft shooting tonight???

    ReplyDelete
  30. These Boston announcers are so full of it.

    ReplyDelete
  31. LOL @ McHale.

Put Lin back in and this game is won. Now it'll take a miracle.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Harden hero ball can't do it this time. Boston have aggressive defenders and rebounders. McHale needs to learn for himself that this formula will not work with every team to win you the game.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Thats what you get McHale! NOBODY benches their star PG in crunch time. Especially when he's having a nice game. Hope they can still pull this one out.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think McHale didn't want to upset the tempo because they were on a run. Now he will put Lin back in.

      Delete
    2. I was almost sure he would come back in after that TO, but wow I am shocked

      Delete
  34. It's a 9 point game again. McHale's reward for thinking TD's play is sustainable.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Lin should play. Parsons should come out. Looks like Lin has had a very good game so far. I haven't been able to see this one.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yeah good job Mchale!! Wait until the Celtics stretch the lead back to 9 to put Lin back in! Unbelievable!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. For some reason they always like benching Lin on Fridays.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. hahaha. you posted this games ago. must be TGIF for McFail so he can bench Lin longer...

      Delete
  38. If Mchale doesn't put Lin back in now, it's complete BS LOL

Granted Lin didn't do much good or bad in the Q3. He needs to shoot the ball. Driving it into the paint all day and getting stuck or passing it to PP or Smith so they get blocked is unimpressive. Shoot a pullup, floater, or do something more effective. I cannot understand it at all....If Lin doesn't have it, he needs to pass earlier and only drive when he is sure he can finish and/or dish to another man wide open on the weakside. His pointless drives getting stuck in the paint make his coaches doubt him.

  39. News: JHarden turned it on 2nd half getting his some consecutive 25+ points blah blah again, but he couldn't do it alone. Unfortunately, Rox lost.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hah! Too late now! Now they will put Lin in and blame Lin for this lose!this is not the first time

    ReplyDelete
  41. Dont believe it. Lin still benched...

    ReplyDelete
  42. If McHale put Lin back in when down by 2, this game might have won already.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Great point. Rockets will never go deep in the playoffs until they get another solid big man and a real coach who will demand Harden play D.

      Delete
  43. OK - seems like they are praying for 3pt shooting miracle

    ReplyDelete
  44. Here he comes with 5 minutes left.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Step back miss by TD. Lin is coming in but I think it's too late.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Mchale doesn't want to get fired...surprised Lin back in. Should have been in 2 min ago.

    ReplyDelete
  47. McHale gambled on his rotation and failed. Now they are down by 12 points with 4 minutes left. Going to be an uphill battle for the Rockets and they don't have the lock down defense to do it.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Now he put Lin back! Fuzking stupid asshole! Too late

    ReplyDelete
  49. WHERE'S MY BOY J.LIN?? WHY THE HELL ISN'T HE PLAYING??!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. GAME OVER. MCHALE failed failed failed with rotation. Gambled and lost. Left Lin out for too long. Should have subbed him back in when the Celtics called a time out.

    ReplyDelete
  51. JLin needs to press up against Rondo on defense. WTF. Stop giving him room to penetrate.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I hate seeing this. Dumb. That's all. Lin played well. At least that's a positive. Harden.... seriously, no words. Douglas trying to do something knowing that he is coming out. That's the worst thing you can do.

    ReplyDelete
  53. McHale expects a cold Lin who was sitting for 7+ minutes of game time to keep up with Rondo.

Coach loves putting Lin in a position to fail.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think he didn't want to upset the tempo when they were on a run and he gambled by leaving Lin on the bench too long. The Celtics ended up going on a 8 - 0 run and that was the game.

      Delete
    2. It's pure naive to think bench player's play is sustainable. Bench players are bench players for a reason. By that logic, whether Lin play or not totally depends on whether TD plays well or not, who is the real starter and closer?

      Delete
  54. This is such an INSULT.

NOW they put him back in after the game is over...so he can shoulder the loss.

FIRE McHale's sorry ass. Jeremy was by far the Rockets' BEST player tonight.

TRY TO PAD YOUR STATS JEREMY. You've earned it -- tell McHale to screw himself.

    ReplyDelete
  55. These announcers feel C's are entitled to calls. Lame

    1. McHale refused to put Lin back in.

Rockets turn it over, get burned on defense, can't finish layups -- game over.

This loss is on McHale...the worst coach in the NBA aside from Keith Smart, lol.

      Delete
    2. I thought they can pull it a win with 81-83 I seen, now...it seems not possible..

      Delete
    3. it's frustrating..just when most of lin fans start to believe in the coach..

      Delete
    4. In defense of McHale, I don't think he refused. He gambled and lost. He didn't want to upset the tempo. The Rockets clearly had the tempo with TD and Harden out there and was pressuring the ball handler. McHale thought that he can milk that strategy and didn't get Lin off the bench. He failed.

      Delete
    5. Unfortunately, until McHale trusts Lin's jumpers and threes, we might be seeing more of this as other teams start to figure out how to defend the ROX...

      Delete
    6. Like I said in my earlier post guys. Rockets need to figure out that this fast pace all the time cannot work especially against teams that can defend and run with them. It seems that Harden was off of his game because he got defended well and none of his moves were working. Instead he resort to isolation Harden hero ball and try to shoot the Rockets and himself to victory. The coaching staff better really figure out an alternative strategy in case fast pace up tempo game doesn't work.

      Delete
  59. Freaking Harden still padding his stats.

    1. He left a shooter at the 3pt line to shoot the 3 pts and have the cahones to dribble back down the court and shoot a three.

      Delete
  60. Perfect game by Jeremy. No turn overs. Should have had more than 6 assists but the bigs and shooters failed him once again.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I did start thinking the Rockets were being jobbed starting yesterday with the Hornets game. The NBA doesn't want a team with the lowest NBA payroll steamrolling through the NBA and compete with the top 3-4 teams in the NBA.

The NBA is a show, not a place where teams play college ball style, hit the open man. They want hero ball, and hero players, not Asik and Lin leading the way with team ball.

The ref's aren't rigging the outcome of these games, but they are making it an uphill battle for the Rockets to win any of these games, and the Rox own players and coaches are imploding under duress.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The schedule says it all 6b2b haha

    2. What uphill battle? The Refs were calling the game in favor of the Rockets. Rockets couldn't respond and couldn't shoot or play their uptempo game tonight.

    Nuff said everyone played bad.

    1. Jeremy was outstanding. This was a CP3-like game for him.

Everyone else was garbage, though, including McHale. That's why they lost.

    2. let's see how Trailblazers will play vs Warriors tonight.

      Delete
    3. Dont get me wrong he did good. However when harden is doing bad he needs to take over. Need to be aggressive and assert, tge way he was attacking he could haveearned quite a lot more FTs since ref calls were going their way 3/4th.

      Delete
    4. And I bet morey is out shopping for jsmith or millsep...our bigs are just too soft

      Delete
    5. Kenoshi, I agreed. Bigs cannot bang inside and resorted to shooting 3's.

      Delete
    6. Millsap would be great. An unselfish, underrated all-around player...just like Jeremy.

He's only 6-8 but has looong arms and great hustle and rebounding ability. And he can finish above the rim, too.

      Delete
    7. either J.Smith or Millsap but NO P.Gasol...

      Delete
    8. NO high priced player like P. Gasol or D. Howard.

      Delete
    9. We shot 27% 9-33 from the 3 and 41% 12-29 from the free throw line... not surprising we lost. Our power forwards didn't play well tonight. Asik's really had an off-night at the free throw line.

I thought Jeremy played a solid game. One thing Jeremy has to better though is making quicker decisions between driving, passing, or shooting. It will come...

      Delete
    10. Haha d12 we already have hack-a-asik we dont need hack-a-dwight

      Delete
  63. Jeremy was SUPERB in every way. ZERO turnovers against a great defense.

Too bad his teammates stunk up the joint! Horrible TOs by Harden. Terrible rebounding by his bigs. Horrendous FT shooting by Asik and Smith.

And McHale laughable "coaching" squandered any chance of victory. I'd LOVE to see Jeremy say something like, "We had a chance there, but we let it slip away -- well, not me...'cause I wasn't in there." LOL, just a dream.

    1. And worse - as reward for HIS good game he gets to play some garbage time...

    2. I was just looking at the box score, I think we have a good competition there with the pgs. Rondo and lin's numbers are so close that near the same in all areas. Except, Rondo 4tos, lin 0.

      Delete
    3. Jeremy got Rondo pretty good tonight. Just like Vazquez got Lin pretty good last night (just to show I'm being fair!).

I just wish McHale had more faith in the only all-around player on the team.

      Delete
    4. and Jeremy has 3 STLs, FGA-M 4-9 compared to Rondo 2STLs, FGA-M 5-13 but i like the 0 TOs best!

  65. For all you guys talking about McHale puting Lin back etc... PLEASE READ!

CHILL OUT!!!! I'm a Lin's fan but geez chill out. Lin played 32 minutes before the last 5. They coming from a back to back with just one day of rest and have another game tomorrow! If you ask me. McHale is doing a HORRIBLE job at spreading the guys minutes in back to backs. Do you guys want to kill Lin or something? He played 36 minutes and Douglas 19 what else you want!? You want him to play the whole 48 minutes? I mean seriously.

I was one that hated how the coaching staff treated Lin but they have been doing a good job since back in December. Give them a break.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. If you ask me. This is what I would do on first day of practice. Make EVERYONE throw free throws until they make 30 consecutive. We lost tonight at the free throw line.

      Delete
    2. JP, I agreed that the coach has been terrible in their substitution pattern. McFail did leave Lin out for too long but like I said tempo. He didn't want to upset the tempo. He thought it would carry him to the end of the game but he was in trouble and got Lin up too late at the 5 minute mark. By that time the Rockets were already losing by 6 - 8 points.

      Delete
    3. Yes - Lin improved a lot since December...

Harden has been playing 40 minutes on a regular basis. No - I dont want Lin to play 40 a night and so I blame the coaches for bad substitution. But - Lin could/should have been allowed to help with the teams come-back.

Hardens D is so bad - he should have "rested" more. Coaches should have let Lin/TD play together more.

      Delete
    4. An extra two minutes isn't going to kill Jeremy. But not doing it will lose the game and hurt his confidence.

Bravo, McHale! You big dumb meat-head. He's turning into Keith Smart, 2.0.

FIRE HIS ASS. Get a real coach like Dave Blatt in here.

      Delete
    5. I think some got my point and some didn't. My point is. Chill out Lin played 36 minutes is not like back in the day where lin would play low 20s and sit out completly in the 4th. Take into account two back to backs in one week.

In other words. Lin needed the rest. HOWEVER, McHale is doing a horrible job at rotating players in back to backs. As in, Lin should play 36 minutes but McHale needs to distribute the minutes better. BUT, that doesn't mean McHale still doesn't trust Lin or that they are doing it on purpose, blah blah blah.

I was one of those back in the day, but lately I can't complain.

      Delete
    6. If he wants to rest him, why put him back for garbage time?

You do one or the other. He basically said, "Toney not Jeremy got us back in this game...oh crap, no it wasn't TD, Jeremy get back in there and take some blame."

      Delete
    7. Reasons for the loss: poor free throw from Asik, poor shooting from Delfino, poor defending by PF on Sullinger in the first half.

      Delete
    8. the point is... JLIN is a 4th quarter player. a closer. he plays better when the game is on the line. get him in there if you have a chance to win it!

      Delete
    9. ZXCVB I don't think those were garbage time. Garbage time was when montiajuntas came in like a minute and a half left. They were having a good run so that's understandable. Again, the problem with McHale is that he doesn't know how to manage the minutes. When Lin should be taken out and when he should go back in. If it was me. I would play Lin 36 minutes a night. that means 12 minutes of rest in the game. That's three minutes remaining in the first and second. And maybe like 6 minutes from 3rd till 4th's last 8 minutes. And I would work that out to give Harden just 38 minutes. Switch Douglas between the two and give him like 22 minutes.

    1. Lin lookes pisssed he should of just took over harden is not going to have a miracle 2nd half every game.

Teams are dialed in now rox cant defend paint and just have to clog lane since they only have streaky shooters and no midrange and cant rebount...pace dont mean crap when you dont have the ball

  68. Well the problem is that frustrated me the most is Asik is a 7 foot of nothing not trying to dunk the ball under the rim if I was that tall I will dunk every ball because if u miss can at lease get a foul I hate to c a 7 footer doing a point blank shoot...n Lin comon man u need to take over n take some shoot instead of passing to someone that cannot hit a shot. Drive me nuts!!!!!!! If he learn how to hite a mid range turn around it would create a lot if easy shot...Lin was agressive in the first half but more passive in the second half.....what is going on did the coach tell him to b more passive n get the team into the game I dont get it can si me explaine.......????? This is nuts!!!!

    1. Lin saw that Harden was struggling and was trying to get him back into the game and thus he was passing up his shots to Harden.

    3. probably confidence issue? but why is he serving his teammates but not himself? trying to be a good selfless christian?

i have pointed this out time after time but no one seems to think this is a real problem. SMH

I love Lin but if i saw him i would slap the shit out of him and let him know!! so frustrating!!

    4. Keep feeding harden the ball when he isn't doing well makes a stagnant offense even more predictable. When lin does bad they change plays and either let lin rest or have him play thru they dont know what to do when harden gies cold

    1. That would be awesome!! Any other team and he starts to dominate. His knee is ready and he can start getting PnR

    2. Not gonna happen, though I kinda wish it would.

You know what's funny? Sacramento would be perfect for Jeremy -- minus Keith Smart. They have good athletes and a star big man (Cousins), they just don't have a floor leader to put it all together.

Fire Smart, hire Dave Blatt, trade anyone but Cousins for Jeremy...that's what I would do as Kings GM.

      Delete
    3. I don't wish for a trade. just hope to see improvement. Either the coach or the players. The coach will need to improve himself in his game plan, as well as trust in his players, mainly pointing to jlin. And his players will also keep improving. That, i see is a good solid team there. As of right now, nobody is going anywhere.
