  2. Oops, Jeremy just missed two shots he usually makes.

    But man, THREE blocks today.

  4. Which is worse? Harden's bad D or Parsons' missed shots?

    ReplyDelete
  5. HOW MANY TIMES WILL HARDEN BRING UP THE BALL!!!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I'm soo confused, what is Delfino's post? a forward-point guard?!?!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Lin's played the most minutes so far. Need to sit Parsons as he is stinking it up today whilst Delfino s playing solid.

    ReplyDelete
  8. dammmmmm i think Harden was surprised he caught the ball and forgot to put it in lol

    ReplyDelete
  9. Harden is really lucky that the Rockets make him their top option on the offense or he will never be on the court. You scored 23 points, nice, but gave up 19 points on the end to someone who didn't normally score that much.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Here comes Atlanta's reserves. Time to pad the lead some more.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Harden can score, but his defense is terrible

    ReplyDelete
  12. why are these announces on td's nuts all the time? especially clyde?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. because he's a better spot up shooter than Jeremy.. and I think these announcers don't care about blocks, steals, or how offense is being ran

    4. I noticed last Rockets vs Spurs, the Spurs crowd gave more love to a visiting Jeremy Lin, even more so than the Rockets crowd when he's playing at home

    5. You know who has great play-by-play guys?

      Washington and Toronto.

I kid you not. They're very fair, knowledgeable and fun to listen to.

      Delete
  13. looks like it's about to be a blow out, so Lin may not be back in the game. Knowing Mchale's coaching subs, Lin will come in during scrub time though.

    ReplyDelete
  14. TD finally makes a lay up and these houston annoucers praise him as if he was the most exciting player on the court.

    1. I guess they really don't want to see linsanity to happen in Houston!!

  15. wonder when will Josh Smith enter FA. hopefully Morey goes after him. 2 reliable Smiths as PF will be beneficial for Lin-Smith PnR

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Get Horford as the PF too. Josh Smith in place of Parsons at SF.

      Delete
  16. The coach has to make sure harden get more pts than lin every games.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Jeremy is fun to watch. When he plays the game accelerates. Must admit seeing Harden being the PG in the 3rd quater was a bit boring.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Smith finally blew a J-Lin assist!

Hehe, that was still a great pass by Jeremy.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Wow even Smith ruins JLins assists now. Arghhhhh

    ReplyDelete
  20. Lin should have about 11-12 assist by now. But his teammates can't catch or finish.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. yeah, that and his position is shared with Harden, Delfino and Parsons.

      Delete
  21. lol these announcers..still surprised by Lin's rebound ability

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. And still pointing out that he cant go left (bullshit) and stuff like that... haters...

    2. He is still weak on the left.

But honestly if they cant stop him on the right does it matter?

    1. I want a gig as Lin's overall assistant - water and towel girl, secretary, masseuse, accountant, girlfriend, wife, everything in between LOL

  24. Lol Jeff Teague could only score on TD, not on Lin.

    ReplyDelete

    1. actually he scored on lin... harden came in for td

  25. Jeremy is over-passing after missing some shots.

SHOOT the damn ball!!! Stop being so unselfish.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Damn McHale, put Asik and Morris in. Don't put Parsons in, keep Delfino on the court.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I don't see any chemistry between Lin and Delfino, on and off court

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think it's Ms. from the name.

      Delete
    2. I don't, even at the bench. that pass from Lin is a no-brainer since Delfino's already the nearest at the basket...

      Delete
  28. JL had several mental lapses in this game. Hope these are not due to a possible concussion from the hit to the head by Collison's elbow.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Damn it Omer, make your damn layups!

A dozen of Jeremy's passes go to waste every night.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. He should two hand dunk it most of the time...

      Delete
    2. Lol maybe that's why mchale likes aldrich

      Delete
  30. Delfino saving the Rockets. Lin the only PG around. Harden playing pourly.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Jeremy was the star of the 1st half. Delfino is the star of the 2nd half.

      Delete
    2. Morris making over 50% of his shots too!

      Delete
  31. great steal and outlet to delfino for an ez layup

    ReplyDelete
  32. Epic DEFENSE by Jeremy Lin.

If there were any justice in the world, Jeremy would be All-NBA Defensive 2nd Team. I'm not going to go crazy and say 1st Team, but definitely 2nd team.

BTW, Rondo has made huge improvements as a mid-range shooter...but his defense has really slacked off. No longer elite defensively.

    ReplyDelete
  33. And Lin steals it again!

Delfino shot like crap some games back. Then he got food poisoning. Now he is shoting like THE MAN!

Damn - they gotta poison Delfino at least once a week to keep him going. Just make him eat sushi from the gas station!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Jeremy is the guy can control the game offense and defense . He doesn't care his stats and just want to win .

    ReplyDelete
  35. If Lin actually got to play PG more than 50% of the time, he'd have 10+ assists.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. with the touches that lin has, he actually gets 10 assists or more if his teammates make some damn layups hahah..okay...happy new years folks

      Delete
  36. delfino... 6/8 3pts!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Parson parson got bench this time lol

    ReplyDelete
  38. Jeremy forces ANOTHER steal that Harden will get credit for.

    1. THREEEEEE

Hehe, nice to see that smile.

      Delete
    2. That happens all the time! Ball falls into his teammates hands and they get the credit :)

      Delete
  39. Hahaha - Lin forcing TO and Asik scoring. Lin shooting 3 pt! LINSANITY BABY!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Replies
    1. Lin made 6/11 and 1/3. Harden made 7/17 and 2/6. Lin also has 8 assists, steals and blocks. Lins numbers and pecentages are way better than Hardens today :) Definitely best Rox player today. Nobody can deny that :)

      Delete
    2. Delfino played pretty good as well.

      Delete
    3. well, Delfino is the best offensive player today. 6-8 3PT is incredible after he got poisoned by Ginobili! LOL

But Lin is the best defensive player plus Asik the Rebounding Turk. He put a defensive stop with that steal on Williams to stop the ATL run followed by the full-court pass to Delfino. That steal from Pachulia was crazy good too :)

Happy New Year, everyone! If Lin made 1 offensive rebound, he would completely filled up the stat sheet :) 4 steals and 2 blocks are really good numbers.

      Delete
    4. Yeah - I suggested that they poison Delfino once a week from now on - to keep him going.

      Delete
  41. Why can't JLin shoot like that on the last 3. So smooth and so effortless.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. yeah.. sort of like how Kevin Durant shoots a three... smooth and easy

      Delete
    2. He's very good from the corner...it's everywhere else he struggles.

      Delete
    3. See! He need to keep trying it even when he missed the first and two 3s. Maybe he finally get figure out!

      Delete
    4. The corner 3 and the long 2's are no problem for JLin, he should build on that instead of trying too many deep ones from top of the arc.

      Delete
  42. Make no mistake, guys.

This was a GREAT game by Jeremy.

Stuffed the stat sheet despite teammates blowing layups all night.

Then played EPIC defense all game with solid offense in limited touches.

Jeremy and Delfino were the MVPs of this game.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. His shooting percentages are better than Hardens today. Hes got a buttload full of assists too. Superb D garnished with steals and blocks. He is THE man!

      Delete
    2. The scorer STOLE that 3rd block from J-Lin, too.

      WTF, Mr. Official Scorer?

      Delete
    3. sweet! great job jlin! he shoulda coulda had over 15 assists!

      Delete
    4. Yeah but thats normal. He should easily have double double every game!

      Delete
    5. I won't go THAT crazy. He should have had 10-12 assists (10 with an average frontcourt. 12 with a good one)

      Delete
  43. god dayum eastern conference seriously weak

    ReplyDelete
  44. hard to believe that jlin had the most minutes of all and parsons the least of the starters. parsons must be sick or mchale is picking on the minorities.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Lol Parson isn't even playing 20+ minutes, I guess McHale have common sense after all

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. 20 minutes - 2/9 and 0/1

Only 1 assist and one steal.

Still - dont think its McHales comman sense. Maybe somebody called him and told him to take Parsons out.

      Delete
    2. I know, thank god. Parsons really shocks me...he's actually quite selfish on the court.

Sounds like a nice guy off of it -- he was the first Rocket to reach out to Jeremy as a friend. But he's obsessed with "getting his" even if it hurts the team. And he can't even dunk consistently!

His 3pt shooting is the only aspect of his game that impresses me. He needs to cut to the rim harder and move with the ball. Not just sit in the corner and then try to play PG whenever he brings the ball up the court.

      Delete
    3. *move WITHOUT the ball, I mean

      Delete
  46. Sweet on the ball D down the stretch by Lin tonight! 5 Steals just icing on the cake!

    Happy New Year everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Finally left Lin in to finish them off.

    ReplyDelete
  48. when they took out lin and harden, i saw mchale with a big ol' grin and handshake for harden... i must have missed it but did he do that with jlin?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Don't expect too much! No yell from Mchale already better!

      Delete
    2. Did Lin walk over to McHale? If not, it's hard for coach to give him a hug.

      Delete
    3. I didn't see McHale walk to Lin. well hopefully he did at the locker room

      Delete
  49. great job jlin. those TOs are fine as long as he maintains his aggressiveness and continues attacking the opponents.

    ReplyDelete
  50. did you guys see the scores of Spurs vs Nets? 104 : 73

we should be VERY proud of our players.

    3. Deron Williams and Rajon Rondo...faux-elite PGs.

CP3 is truly amazing, though. No PG in the league is even close to as good as he is. He does EVERYTHING well and can play any role in any system.

CP3 is the only PG I look at and say, "Okay, Jeremy isn't going to be that good." If he stays healthy, he might be the best modern-era PG of all-time. Better than Magic and Stockton.

      Delete
    4. You mean never or not yet that good? When you say isn't going to be that good sounds like he never can be that good as cp3.

      Delete
    5. Not ever (not that there's any shame to that -- like I said, I think CP3 is the #1 Greatest of All-Time).

Even if J-Lin develops a reliable 3pt jumper, he isn't as versatile as CP3. CP3 can play a glorified Derek Fisher role. Or be ball-dominant. Or anything in between. And he makes so few mistakes...even when he was young.

In 2-3 years, I think J-Lin be as good or better than any other current "elite" PG. He can be a Hall of Fame PG. But CP3 is in a class of his own.

      Delete
    6. See, I'd much rather have Lin than Chris Paul.

Chris Paul has played with max contract big men all his career. He refuses to play on low seeded playoff teams and will force trades to contenders.

Chris Paul cannot CARRY a bad team like Lin can. Paul doesn't make teammates better, he doesn't rebound and defend like Lin, and he can get shut down by bigger defenders. I seriously doubt that Chris Paul could be having thw impact on this lowly Rockets team that Lin is having.

Jeremy Lin is a VERY tough matchup for Chris Paul.

      Delete
    7. I'd rather Jeremy Lin develop a Jeremy Lin game. his own brand of being a PG. arguably, CP3 edges Jeremy in ball-handling, scoring, and versatility, but I agree with KHuang - Jeremy's positive effect on a team is certainly something. imo that is something that cannot be taught or learned. it's innate in a person.

      Delete
  51. Nice finish for Jeremy this year. Best wishes for 2013!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hawks announcer just mentioned that play of the game was Jeremy's steal and assist pass to Delfino for a layup to push the lead back to 10 with about 4min left in the game.

      Delete
    2. JLin's 4 stls puts him 6th in the NBA per game at 1.87 [above Harden at 1.83]

    4. That's one aspect of what makes lin such an inherently exciting player to watch - despite some of his limitations. Why do you think he shows up favourably on virtually every popular vote poll out there.

      Delete
  57. I just woke up and checked to see who won... hahaha I knew it was another blow out game. But what's irritating is that 99% of the articles written about the game didn't even mention Jeremy Lin. What's going on with the world?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. lol - thats life as an asian dude :)

      Delete
    2. Yes. Even the NBA story showing under the match up is harden, delfino, no Lin. Ever since he moved to Houston rockets I rarely see his any game highlight on NBA. The only time he make it is spurs game where he got mention a lot. However, it's a good thing to him I think. Less distraction. Or, you can say less recognition even if he did good.

      Delete
    3. But I do notice that they tend to mention the one with high double pts like over 20s. Probaly that's the one they think have the most impact. Sometimes I see when Lin got like 20 pts he often will got mention as well.

  58. Proposed trade:

    BULLS GET:
    - Parsons
    - Prospects (Jones, Patterson)
    - Filler (Cook)

    ROCKETS GET:
    - Luol Deng
    - Filler (Vlad Rad? lol)

Bulls have a $5M trade exception to make the salaries work. Deng is what Chicago needs - a veteran defensive wing who's a good rebounder and shooter despite slumping this year.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. *Deng is what HOUSTON needs, I mean.

Meanwhile, Parsons and young forward prospects are perfect for the bulls with againg Boozer and Rose coming back (needs some young athletic teammates who can run with him).

      Delete
    2. hmm.. can Deng play consistent defense? he was consistent defensively last season. cannot say much this season as I haven't seen much of the Bulls lately. Rockets vs Bulls, Jeremy's blowing by him twice.

  60. Coaches gotta show Asik how to dunk. In the paint with defenders around you, it's much more important to quickly go up, use your momentum from your arms, jump off one leg rather than bending your knees deeply and trying to jump high. Asik is so tall he doesn't need to take a deep knee bend to dunk. He needs to follow Smith's example of good hands and quick jump/pump fake then dunk. He needs to learn the skill of a strong jump, getting fouled but still putting the ball in to get a potential 3 pointer.
