  2. Please don't be too nervous tonight . Just play your game and relax.

  3. Love lin on the baseline so far. How was the introduction? Did people love Lin? I missed that!

    1. Me too. Still at work... What happened?

      Delete
    2. Well - so far at least the anouncers still have some love for Lin unlike Jon Barry and Mike Trico who were realy hostile.

      Delete
  4. Carmelo is out. Would be interesting if it were Harden out instead. Not that I wish any ill will against Harden. Just want to see whether Lin can replicate his Spurs numbers against his old team.

    1. TBH I'd rather it'd be a well distributed points game, like 15+ per starter...

  5. Lin got cheers when he was introduced. Some people booed but a good amount stood and clapped + cheered.

  6. This sucks I'm on the road can't watch...But 2/2 and 2 assists so far go LIN!!!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Lin is having a great start. 3/3 1 rebound, and 3 assists. Keep it up! Let's go Rockets/Lin!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Lin with good flow today. Very active - very quick! GO LIN!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Jeremy came to PLAY. He's attacking the rim every single time he has any kind of room. He even turned a near TO into an awesome assist (CP3 does that too).

I still expect that P.O.S. McHale to find any excuse whatsoever bench him in the 4th, so Jeremy better make this a blowout by the 3rd.

    ReplyDelete

    1. McHale knows what this means for Lin. For his good, McHale should let Lin play 38 minutes tonight. BTW Felton is trying to prove something tonight. You can see it.

      Delete
    2. I have no confidence in McHale. None. Jeremy could stink it up in the next quarter...and play all game anyway. Or he could hit 20 and 10 by the 3rd...and be benched in crunch time.

Unpredictable substitution patterns are a reliable sign of terrible coaching. Especially at the NBA level.

      Delete
    3. Agree. Houstons sub pattern is not good for Lin!

      Delete
  10. Every time Jeremy Lin has his game face on, whether on the same or other team, Carmelo seems to always be injured and unable to play.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Can't watch but I'll tune in here for updates! Keep it coming! Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Missed a 3 but already 4/5 go Lin!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. He missed because he hesitated again. He needs to be confident on his three pointer and take it when he's open.

      Delete
  13. Parsons blows another wide open layup ugh

    Good game by Lin now

The usual blast of threes by Knicks keeping them in it

    1. I dont get how McHale sits Lin while Felton is still playing. Felton will demolish Douglas

      Delete
  14. Well that polite entrance lasted for too little. I don't think Knicks like Lin that much. Booed when he drove in, cheered when he lost the ball.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. ofcourse they will boo if he scores. They love him but the knicks fans want a win.

      Delete
  15. Doh Lin TO, JR drove for 2, Knicks now ahead by 1.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Chandler for Knicks sets way better picks than Asik.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah - his screens are quality screens.

      Delete
    2. You mean not like Asik's "let me get out of the way as soon as possible" partial screens?

      Delete
  17. I mean the Morris 20 dribble iso just can not be allowed... he should send that ball back to LIN and go pick and roll... thats the difference between this rockets club and the linsanity club... novak would have passed it back to lin as would have all the rest...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. These young Rockets all want to shine. And unfortunately, they all think they can do things in triple threat unlike when Lin had Fields Novak and Jeffries and Bill Walker none of whom could dribble nor cared to do so.

      Delete
    2. Thats where we need McHale to tighten them up. Help define their games for them.

      Delete
  18. Asik and Smith have given no hedge help whatsoever... so when LIN gets pick and rolled. its hardly on him if Felton scores...

    ReplyDelete
  19. Harden draws a foul against JR Smith, forcing him to sit... which is great since Smith was red hot

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Nice :)

      Harden is useful afterall :D

      Delete
    2. Harden's an amazing player, actually. Don't think he was intentionally trying to get Smith to foul him though.

      Delete
  20. Wow JR came to play or what. 12pts already.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Lin is aggressive which is great. He is almost trying too hard today to score. He's looking to score today for better or worse on almost every possession, forcing it a bit too much. This is how he always plays though, on the edge of greatness or on the brink of disaster. Classic Linsanity. It's Lin own unique version of playing like Westbrook looking out of control at times. If he can hit his jumpers today in the normal flow of things hoping he catches fire like in the Spurs game, Felton will try to match him shot for shot and shoot the Knicks out of it. And Lin will come out looking like roses.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. he needs to do that to know his limits and then surpassed it.

      Delete
  22. It is amazing that MSG care to booed undrafted, twice waived player like he is LeBron James visiting Cavs after switching to the Heat

    ReplyDelete
  23. Lin bringing it tonight. This is the blueprint for the rest of the year.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Its no surprise that Felton is putting up numbers. Its simply because of the Knicks system. It has been unchanged and Felton is basically taking on where Jeremy left off last year.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. wow ur making sense today. of course its also because felton love to shoot the ball. And now that Melo is out his attempts will probably balloon tonight.

      Delete
  25. Lin is IN!!! Way to go McHale finally you get it!

    ReplyDelete
  26. LOL did I just Delfino do a spin move and finish with a layup

    ReplyDelete
  27. Interesting Harden is sitting while Lin is playing with bench? McHale turn a new leaf? Now its up to Lin to turn up the heat.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ok, here is the problem. In that last play Douglas needed to give the ball back to Lin and not just do his thing and shoot that 3. Not because I'm a Lin fan, but that was the right play........

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think he redeemed himself with that 2 and 1...Methinks he wants this as bad as Lin.

I really like TD + Lin together :)

      Delete
    2. Agreed, but Douglas is out to prove himself in NY too.

      Delete
    3. Agree Douglas is playing good. Nothing against him, just that play. But he did redeem himself.

      Delete
  29. Lin needs to hit the 3 now and perimeter shots because Knicks will close the lane. And THERE YOU GO!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Lin delivers or what?

Can someone tell me if the fans are cheering when he hit the 3?!?

      Delete
    2. You could hear some cheers. I think

      Delete
  30. Lin and TD seem to have decent chemistry for each other, whether it is TD being PG or Lin being PG. But I guess we really only have the SPurs game and this game to look at. But look at the way both guys are hitting shots.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. i wouldnt be surprise. I mean they played together the longest. They are talking about douglas better fit for harden but no one talking about lin Douglas chemistry which has more sense.

    1. It was a poor pass by Lin but Smith decided not to dive for it. Would probably still been a TO.

      Delete
    2. So lame...that's not how an energy guy off the bench should play...

      Delete
    3. he wanted a lob and didnt' react to get it off floor

      Delete
    4. I'm talking about bringing energy, the importance of every ball. He could have easily picked it up. It was a bad pass, but that doesn't mean you should go for it. At least the effort.

      Delete
  32. Lin taking his shots. This is how he should always play. 7 attempts already. Drained a nice 3 from the top.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Lin is so much better when he driving and taking shots. A couple of TOs but that is fine. You can't play like that and not get TOs.

      Delete

  34. Like 10/10 wanted, they are playing Harden as SF finally.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I like Parsons, but Lin has way more upside. Use Lin as an undersized SG/PG with another TD floor spacer 3 point type and Harden as SF. Get some legit big men with them, and this Houston team can rock. Parsons is a 6th man type of role player SF who would fit really well on the currently constructed Lakers. In Houston, Parsons is the cog that is screwing up Lin and Harden

      Delete
    2. Got to agree. he shouldn't be second leading scorer. bring him off the bench. perfect energy guy floor stretcher off bench. play him a little at power forward

      Delete
    3. I do think they can all co-exist and Parsons can remain at SF. Mainly to me, its the Houston coaching. It's so obvious the supposed free flow system is set up for Harden and Parson to be #1 and #2 and Lin was somewhere like #4 or 5.

Today it is noticeable the ball is in Lin's hands more and 90% of the outlets go to Lin at least on made shots by the other team. Just that alone is a big help to Lin.

      Delete
    4. agreed. they do typically outlet to him on made shots ... i wish they do it off the defensive boards ... we would have full LINSANITY I'm certain. they are taking away three assists and 6-9pts a game with that minimum.

      Delete
  35. did they actually just call that reach on lin??? hahaha... such a joke...

    ReplyDelete
  36. ROX offensive concept is so terrible; I feel like watching street basketball. It is filled with a lot of iso and 3s. When there's finally somebody going south and north to breakdown the defense and gets double teamed, there's no cutters going into the lane for the open lay-up. So boring and frustrating to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Lin cutting through two men in the paint and hitting the floater over Chandler... classic.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Good God, I hope Kelvin doesn't mess up JLIN's flow with whatever foolish shit he has to say...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. LOL. For whatever reason, I really don't think Sampson likes Lin much as a player.

      Delete
    2. Honestly, I think tonight McHale is doing a good job. And I'm expecting him to keep playing Lin. He will get at least 38 minutes tonight.

      Delete
    3. @swing. That's obvious, you should read the comments here more! :)

      Delete
  39. Oh man, this may be the start of an offensive juggernaut if Rockets play like this. Harden and Lin going nuts.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Seriously...Oh man so mad I can't watch the game but follow radio :/ ahh recorded tho will watch later.

I wonder why the change of plans?

      Delete
    2. McHale is really not as malevolent as people here keep saying. He let Lin play through the last game because he knows Lin needed to play through it and finish the game well before tonight. He's letting Lin play more tonight because he needs it.

      Delete
  40. How about this?

Jeremy gets the 1st and 4th quarter. Harden gets the 2nd and 3rd.

Hot hand gets the "final shot."

Come on, McHale. Even your dumbass can understand that.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. nobody except us people on here think of Lin as that caliber of player...we can only dream...maybe one day Lin will get lucky and get a Nash contract where someone wants him to lead a team like Nash got to do in Phoenix.

      Delete
    2. That's true.

But I say that because last year Hollinger (now hired by the Grizzlies) mentioned how Lin had the 2nd highest 4th quarter PER until he was injured -- only CP3 was better.

      Delete
  41. Let's GO LIN!!!!! That's what I'm talking about. I like how the Rockets are playing tonight. They are playing like a team. A couple of mistakes and isos but generally they playing really good and Lin is being aggressive.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Ouch that was a friggin hard foul by Chandler. Not nice ...

    ReplyDelete
  43. chandler just threw a WWF move on LIN! We gotta get LIN as WWF name!!!

  44. Am I hearing that right flagrant on TC?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Good call. Chandler didnt get the flagrant on last game I think. Its about time he gets one :)

      Delete
  45. Lin needed to shoot that open 3. He will need to hit those 3 tonight cause Knicks will not keep letting him go down the paint.

    ReplyDelete
  46. WOW they gave Lin a call! A flagrant one!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Heh, that was dumb TO by Jeremy.

But he makes up for it with a great drive to get flagrant on Tyson.

    ReplyDelete
  48. The Jason Kidd one last year was 10 times worse...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. i havent seen him play much last year but you know great players always bounce back.

    2. Agree. Fuck JKidd, totally lost respect for him with that play.

      Delete
  49. more comments please. where to watch on line?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Double airball lol. Those boos can't get to Lin's face. Just keep it up, he needs to keep being aggressive and knock those 3s.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I must say that when I saw he hesitated a bit I knew that ball was going to be short.

      Delete
    2. Jeremy actually had another airball this game (maybe grazed rim).

...and yet he's STILL on fire.

He made up for that airball with a steal on the other end that led to an assist and Harden layup.

      Delete
    3. Missed shots and airballs feel "worse" when one is taking as few shots as Lin were taking in previous games. When Lin are taking the shots he is supposed to take, driving in, etc... they aren't a big deal.

The best thing is Lin doesn't slump his shoulders after a miss tonight. That's a shooter's mentality. That's what we all want to see.

      Delete
  51. Like how Lin, Harden and Douglas are playing. Lin driving a lot, even against Chandler. Thats even better than him going for the open 3. His driving skills are what sets him apart.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Novak somehow gets an offensive rebound?! hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  53. put lin on JR... you just saw what he can do on D!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. screw that... tonight is going to be about Lin as an offensive player - let the others pick up slack

      Delete
    2. that's the beauty of LIN, wiffle... he can do both!

      Delete
  54. LOL Harden draws a foul on JR again and gets the hot hand to sit again lmao

  57. Lin is putting Chandler in foul trouble... nice

    ReplyDelete
  58. Lol I have a feeling Knicks are going to be in foul trouble all night.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. which is bad for the knicks because lin and harden are more likely planning to attack all night. Might as well put a tent on the FT line.

      Delete
  59. tyson chandler showing his true colors with that flagrant on jeremy. talking one way but his actions say another. that's just sad.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Come on. Playing hard means playing hard. He did that when Lin was on his team as well :) What matters is that Lin smugged after that and is still playing Linsanity style.

Man - Im gonna go crazy if Sampson talks shit to Lin and takes his Linsanity moment away. If they bench Lin for no reason we gotta start a shitstorm on FB :)

      Delete
    2. Lin's crazy left handed drive. So fast. He has top acceleration

      Delete
    3. Agree 100% with willy. Chandler isn't a thug, just an enforcer in the paint. His job is to foul hard.

      http://redking.typepad.com

      Delete
  60. Does Harden even know how to run on the break? I mean its bizzare!!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. This is the first real game Harden and Lin are playing like the best backcourt in the NBA....

I believe Lin and Harden can do this EVERY NIGHT. They are both that good. But will the young Rockets from Parsons to TD to Delfino to Morris be happy being role playing scrubs who generally will score no more than 12 points a night MAX?

And will Houston's coaches start to change the team into that type of squad? Remains to be seen....

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Completly agree. If they can build up from tonight. Harden and Lin could be one if not the best backcourt in the NBA.

      Delete
    2. but that's how most teams works anyway. I mean 2-3 star players and the rest are role players. Sometimes it even works against a team if they have too many star players. knicks had that prob. lakers also having that prob right now.

  62. Woodson looked like he was gonna cry, lol. Walking off the court lol

PLZ PLZ PLZ HAND THEM FIRST HOME LOSS!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Knicks is playing small, you gotta take advantage on the inside but still be wary with perimeter when defending

    ReplyDelete
  65. Great first half for Rockets and for Lin. They are playing good. This is how every game should be! Now let's keep it up for the second half. And get some Linsanity on fire! I so hope Rockets wins tonight and give Knicks first home loss. What a news title that will be.

    1. This is Nyk lowest-scoring qtr of the season [11 pts]

      Delete
  66. Lin +17 and T-Doug +13 at the half, sweet

    ReplyDelete
  67. There's been a shift in coaching today. They put the ball in Lin's hands A HECK OF A LOT more. Harden actually got the ball a lot less in Q1 than Lin. And it was about 60/40 Harden/Lin in Q2 with Lin getting plenty of touches. No other rocket got more than 5 shots....this is how this team needs to play to maximize their best 2 players...they will win many games this way even though without a big man presence they will likely flame out in the playoffs....but they WILL make the playoffs playing this way and start to win 2/3 ball games the rest of the way....

I'll see what transpires the next month or so...a 1 game fluke? Or the future style of the Rockets where Lin and Harden take turns coming at you nonstop? This is watchable Rockets basketball. It's the Lin and Harden show, it's not democratic ball. They are just both getting the ball in their hands due to adjustment in coaching finally.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Before Lin was being marginalized for Parsons. Today the coaches told the team to give Lin the ball on all outlets on made shots and gave Lin the ball a lot more up top to start the game. Parsons has been thus marginalized today by Lin whereas most games Parsons marginalized Lin's ability because the coaches have a Parson's fixation.

I think this will be a season long issue. Even if they blow out the Knicks today, I don't think it's going to be fixed that easily.

Could you imagine DHoward in there instead of Asik playing the way they are playing today in this style where both guards are coming at you nonstop?

      Delete
    2. exactly they need to maximize both players. Im sure harden is happy that his efficiency is back in this game. I mean his known for that. but because the coaching staff gives him the ball handling job he becomes prone to TO, more shot attempts which lowers his FG% and he also couldn't focus much on defense. If its at least 60-40 with him and lin the job will be a lot easier.

      Delete
  68. If they beat them at MSG AND this is another blowout hahahahahaha Dolan is going to pop!

I would pay money to see that and bring popcorn!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Harden and Lin playing great tonight. They need keep going on. Asik needs to get more involves, and obviously Parsons needs to get going. Harden and Lin should keep playing how they are and just keep attacking. Man if Lin starts hitting those 3s this is going to be a great game to watch. Not like if its not already.

I want to see the Headlines tomorrow if Rockets win. They need to win! :D

  70. HALF-TIME THOUGHTS

    - Talk about energy! I am just going to focus on Lin's play. I will start with the bad because it is so short. Lin has a couple of TOs, and one of them (an attempted lob to Harden) wasn't great. But that's because his usage rate is sky high right now. One (or two) airballs but Lin is unfazed. That's how a shooter should behave. That's good.

    - Lin is driving hard, finishing at the rim, and drawing fouls. Harden is keeping Smith's minutes down by getting Smith in foul trouble; similarly, Lin is keeping Tyson Chandler off-balance because Lin is getting past the perimeter and man-on-man help. In the last few games, Lin was clearly trying to avoid contact at the rim. Tonight he didn't care. Tyson Chandler tried to send a message with a hard elbow. A few possessions later, Lin came flying back, and Tyson had to foul Lin again.

    - Toney Douglas has been pretty decent again. I thought he had good chemistry with Lin on the court. A few offensive mistakes required Harden to come back in and solidify the offence, and the Lin/TD/Harden ultra-small line up worked for the minute or two it was in play.

    - Asik is being manhandled a bit by TC, I thought. Wasn't paying too much attention to that matchup, though.

    - Lin and Harden both have 9 shots. Both are being incredibly efficient. Harden's TOs are 0 tonight because he gets to play off the ball rather than have to play PG, which is good but not great at. Harden is an elite SG and is best playing at SG.

    - I know Smith got some grief for not diving for Lin's pass and preventing a TO for Lin but I thought he played well tonight. Great hustle on the boards, and finished at the rim when needed.

  71. I m too nervous to look at NBA score box. Only reading all ur comments to have a feel of the game. So From all ur comments, so far things seems good. Hope they keep it up all the way to the end with a win. I also agree Lin and Douglas do have good chemistry together on court maybe even a little better than harden.

I loved that play where Harden had the ball and called the pick for Lin to get open. And then Lin giving the screen for Harden's open three.

This is how it was supposed to BE!!!!

  73. This is how Lin + Harden should be able to play every night!

Both are sharing the duties and both getting their own.
