  1. It's funny how every single time Jeremy is allowed to be a point guard he puts up All-Star numbers. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Jazz, Raptors (first time), Spurs, Knicks. Those are the only games in which he was allowed to play his position. And yet I have no idea whether McHale and Sampson will let him be a PG.

BTW, I've changed my mind -- if Jeremy gets voted into the All-Star game, I think he should seriously consider going. Honor the voters and embarrass McHale when he inevitably benches an All-Star PG for not being Steve Novak.

    1. Finally you are with me on the AllStar thing. BTW -> absolutely! Lin has shown on many occasions that Linsanity is just waiting for action.

  2. Wow... Go JLin. Just got home in time for 2nd half. Maybe I should stop watching and just read the forum. I don't want to jinx JLin's good performance. I really hope the Rox can take this win.

    1. LOL. We're gonna blame you if that happens!

    2. If things go south we know how its gonna happen and who to blame -> coaches!

      Delete
    3. No seriously, whenever I got all excited about a team or player, the team ended up losing. OMG! But i gotta watch JLin play.

      Delete
    4. Phew, i guess it's ok for me to watch 2nd half but not first half. Let's go JLin!

      Delete
  3. The coaches put the ball on Lin's hand a lot more compared the rest of the season so far but still not much of good play set.

Good game plan so far though, get TC JS foul trouble really helped

  4. Gonna repost this (wrote it in the old thread)

    HALF-TIME THOUGHTS

    - Talk about energy! I am just going to focus on Lin's play. I will start with the bad because it is so short. Lin has a couple of TOs, and one of them (an attempted lob to Harden) wasn't great. But that's because his usage rate is sky high right now. One (or two) airballs but Lin is unfazed. That's how a shooter should behave. That's good.

    - Lin is driving hard, finishing at the rim, and drawing fouls. Harden is keeping Smith's minutes down by getting Smith in foul trouble; similarly, Lin is keeping Tyson Chandler off-balance because Lin is getting past the perimeter and man-on-man help. In the last few games, Lin was clearly trying to avoid contact at the rim. Tonight he didn't care. Tyson Chandler tried to send a message with a hard elbow. A few possessions later, Lin came flying back, and Tyson had to foul Lin again.

    - Toney Douglas has been pretty decent again. I thought he had good chemistry with Lin on the court. A few offensive mistakes required Harden to come back in and solidify the offence, and the Lin/TD/Harden ultra-small line up worked for the minute or two it was in play.

    - Asik is being manhandled a bit by TC, I thought. Wasn't paying too much attention to that matchup, though.

    - Lin and Harden both have 9 shots. Both are being incredibly efficient. Harden's TOs are 0 tonight because he gets to play off the ball rather than have to play PG, which is good but not great at. Harden is an elite SG and is best playing at SG.

    - I know Smith got some grief for not diving for Lin's pass and preventing a TO for Lin but I thought he played well tonight. Great hustle on the boards, and finished at the rim when needed.

  5. Sorry, I have to re-post what I wrote..

There's been a shift in coaching today. They put the ball in Lin's hands A HECK OF A LOT more. Harden actually got the ball a lot less in Q1 than Lin. And it was about 60/40 Harden/Lin in Q2 with Lin getting plenty of touches. No other rocket got more than 5 shots....this is how this team needs to play to maximize their best 2 players...they will win many games this way even though without a quality big man presence they will likely flame out in the playoffs....but they WILL make the playoffs playing this way and start to win 2/3 ball games the rest of the way....

I'll see what transpires the next month or so...a 1 game fluke? Or the future style of the Rockets where Lin and Harden take turns coming at you nonstop? This is watchable Rockets basketball. It's the Lin and Harden show, it's not democratic ball. They are just both getting the ball in their hands due to adjustment in coaching finally. Lin is not being marginalized! Look at the boxscore - it's Lin and Harden dominating the stats. That is how literally every game should be. WTF was going on before, I have no clue.

Before Lin was being marginalized for Parsons. Today the coaches told the team to give Lin the ball on all outlets on made shots and gave Lin the ball a lot more up top to start the game. I think Les got fed up and gave the coaches some type of direct order to figure it our OR ELSE. I doubt Mchale & staff magically came up with this and it was never hard to come up with - just give your 2 best guys the freaking ball and let everyone else play off them.

Parsons has been thus marginalized today by Lin whereas most games Parsons marginalized Lin's ability because the coaches have a Parson's fixation.

I think this will be a season long issue. Even if they blow out the Knicks today, I don't think it's going to be fixed that easily.

Funny thing is I saw Mchale smiling in Q2 because the Rockets are kicking ass in this Harden/Lin double domination style where everyone else is a role playing scrub.

Could you imagine DHoward in there instead of Asik playing the way they are playing today in this style where both guards are coming at you nonstop?

  6. Wow the Rox are starting the second half rather cold. Bad signs.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Great post. Wiffele . And great to hear they are doing good so far. So I assume the rocket is the lead now?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Would you believe there is a 10 point lead right now?

Don't get comfortable though... that's just 1 point more than three 3s and you know the Knicks are the masters of bullshit threes

      Delete
    2. Shit Copeland just hit one I am going to shut up about threes now

      Delete
    3. Lol. Don't make me upset after i just got a little happy. But then I saw you said they start cold second half...oh...please...continue what they been doing in the first half.

      Delete
    4. Mainly taking and missing loads of threes. You know the drill. Live and die by the three. But Harden drew fouls, Asik drew fouls, and Lin went back to driving, and things have been solidified somewhat.

      Delete
  8. Parsons STOP bringing the ball UP THE COURT!!!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Lucky for Lin to at least got some cheer when introduce. He should got some cheers. He actually did nothing wrong to deserve a boo from the Knicks fans. It's not like he didn't want the offer or something, it's he has no offer.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Wrong guys handling the ball and taking shots at the start of this half!!!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Parsons trying to get himself going thinking he is #2 on this team...I do like Parsons, but it's up to the coaching staff to clean that mess up. It's got to be clear Lin/Harden = 1/2 and nobody else can dribble the ball and wave them off to make their own play. Everyone else plays off Lin Harden or else...

    ReplyDelete
  12. Why the hell is Parons handling the ball? I know he is trying to get his stats this half

    ReplyDelete
  13. GIVE the DAMN BALL to JEREMY in TRANSITION!!!

    ReplyDelete

    1. You just got your wish lol.

Man Lin is FAST when he's running in open court

    2. Yeah it's anazing how fast JLin is.

  14. So many missed shots from beyond the perimeter... Wide open too

    ReplyDelete
  15. Copeland is absolutely killing Morris. Bring in TD

    ReplyDelete
  16. Wow Lin needs to practice those 3s 1/5 ugh...Keep knocking them down tho Lin get those drives/floaters!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. If Lin could hit those 3's, Lin would be so dominant, even the media couldn't call him a joke, fluke, lucky scrub anymore. He'd be a crazy elite talent.

      Delete
  17. Lol. Dont f...up with the 10 pts lead in the first half. If the ball Is better in jeremy's hand then let him have it and continue the progress you have in first half. Lol. Good started now what...

    ReplyDelete
  18. OK - I kept it secret for sooo long but I gotta make it public now. The secret to winning a game IS TO GIVE LIN THE DAMN BALL!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Even without his jumper, J-Lin is carving the Knicks up!

He also has one or two steals he forced but didn't get credit for (to be fair, they were harder calls in traffic).

    ReplyDelete
  20. This is great. Lin doesn't care when he misses. He just gets going and jacks up another shot. Good things are going his way as he missed that layup but got credit. He's making things happen tonight.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Lins strength -> Linsanity game numero uno against Nets -> missing almost all jumpers but still getting 25 -> thats Linsanity.

      Delete
  21. Parsons gotta stop bringing the ball up. I screamed so loud on those plays my neighbor came knocking on the door. LOL. Stop it Parsons. Just stop it.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Lin running up court in transition -> gets into paint -> kicks it out to Harden -> three

    Beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Parsons rusty but he's a thief tonight.

Wow what did I miss we're all the sudden +18 pts?!?

    ReplyDelete
  24. YES!!!!

    Jeremy and James PLAYING TOGETHER.

This is too good to be true. Please LEARN SOMETHING McHale. Please.

    ReplyDelete
  25. BEARDLINSANITY IN DISPLAY TONIGHT!!!! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.

I loved that play where Harden had the ball and called the pick for Lin to get open. And then Lin giving the screen for Harden's open three.

This is how it was supposed to BE!!!!

    3. @kenoShi lol what you said bring me laugh though. Lol.

      Delete
  26. There's been loads of hustle on defence tonight. Again, while Parsons shouldn't be bringing the ball up the court - he's been very active. He has 4 steals already. The Rox have 11 steals so far!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Parsons is a great team player. He is not selfish either. The problem is the coaches thing he is Larry Bird and dont think Lin is much better than Courtney Fortson.

    DAYUM.

  30. If Jeremy would have made all his 3s he would have 30 points right now!

  31. Lol. Love all ur comments right now. If they get a win tonight this should be another good lesson for coach how to play Jeremy and harden.

    1. LOL, you get some of the credit for this, Nemo.

Your reverse jinx worked like a charm! Just like I said!

      Delete
    2. Nemo, never doubt Lin. You will end up looking stupid. Lin is the real deal. He will struggle mightily again this year but eventually he will shine.

      Delete
    3. Nemo isn't really a doubter. He's just a sarcastic fan. Like how some fans (Yankees and Red Sox) are their own team's biggest haters.

      Delete
    4. Lin is a young guy and his game is a bit too "tough" to play every night. He will be inconsistent until he develops (or some might say, rediscover) his jumper and a mid range game. The key is patience - patience with Lin, with Lin's teammates and his coaches. They are doing their best.

      Delete
  33. Cool thing is that Lin's jump shot not working and he's still dominating them. This is how they can play or easily better than this

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. As long as he is taking the open shot I don't even care hah.

      Delete
    2. If Lin made one or two more of these 3pts he'd be on his way to 30.

      Delete
  34. 22pt lead!!! GET IT TO 30 SO WOODSON QUITS 4Q!

  35. After last game Tyson said "we are not worse than this team - not 30 points worse..."

    1. Lol they should blow them away by more points, wonder what Tyson will say then...

"We are not worse than this team, not 40 points worse..."

      Delete
    2. Or worse :)

Actually - they can still win the game. Dolans gotta go buy Lin immediately. Let Lin play in 4th for Knicks :)

  36. such a sweet assist to delfino ... look what happens when lin leads the break. HOW DO THE COACHES NOT SEE THIS!!!!!!!

    1. I was like looking at Parsons looking for the ball lol

      Delete
    2. They just don't believe in Lin like we do...

      Delete
    3. Yes all the young guys want the ball, get their stats....On a Harden Iso, Lin was up top, and Parsons crept towards the middle, creeping towards Lin thinking maybe Harden couldn't see him for the swing pass 3. Lin was doing that too when Lin was the odd man out. Parsons almost killed the spacing because of that...

It's the same deal on Lin's Spurs Hero shot. his teaamates all moved towards him rather than last year in Toronto where they literally all stayed down, granted Lin never passed the 3 point line....

      Delete
    4. And yet Parsons said immediately after the game that Lins should have taken the screen

      Delete
  37. Guys don't get too high on the pts lead yet. Still third quarter. If this is 4th quarter already maybe I ll high with you too. But it still 3rd quarter too early yet...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes Mchale needs to be careful. He can't come and bring the bench in or something. He needs to give lin maybe 1 minute of rest and put him back in, same to harden. Can't give the knicks a break. They need to keep attacking. Is only 23. It can die real quickly.

      Delete
    2. For how much publicity this game is, if he blows it with bad rotations I think McHale will be done.

C'mon McHale continue to unleash the beast that is your team!!! Keep manhandling Knicks!!!

      Delete
  38. Harden is on fire, go Beardsanity!!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Don't tell me he's done for tonight. I want to see a double-double .

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No Mchale can't make that mistake. Give Lin a little rest and put him back in. He can't let this game slip.

      Delete
    2. He's done for the night. McHale sent me a text saying "Jeremy is resting his ankles 4 da rest of da nite"

      Delete
  40. I'm sooo scared that Mchale will make some bad decision in the 4th quarter and let the game slip. They need to give some rest to harden for 2 minutes in the fourth for Lin to come in. And keep it up. They can't let it slip. They have to make a statement!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Felton is practicaly noneffective right now even though he's taken 18 shots.. most for the Knicks and only 14 points! I think the Knick fans will want Jeremy back after tonights game unless Jeremy totally blows it in the 4th quarter... which he probably will.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Nemo... you almost had a nice post. You're coming along! :)

      C'mon, you're not that weak...

    4. I told you guys. Nemo has two characters.

  42. Finally, McHale subs Lin out at the RIGHT time.

Great game. Big Lead. I don't mind him sitting the 4th as long as the lead stays big.

I really hope this game proved to McHale that the Spurs explosion wasn't a fluke...it was a taste.

  43. HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHA

  44. C'mon Rox keep them to below 15 and get another 30pts in 4Q for effect! Go Rockets and "The 713"!!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Lin and harden should play like this every night . Honestly ! The Knicks 's defense suck

  56. If the dumbass Rockets can play this way all the time, they will be fantastic to watch and win games. Give Lin the ball, and don't be so afraid your freaking 80 mill man will flame out. Harden is special. When Lin gets going and Harden is single covered, Harden feasts like crazy. Harden should always be leading scorer, but Lin should always be leading in assists and no lower than 2nd or 3rd in scoring.

    ReplyDelete
  57. If there is ever a good time to put Douglas instead of Lin in the 4th quarter is TONIGHT! Beardlinsanity in full display today. This is what they are capable of. Best backcourt of the NBA? Can be! So happy. This is what Lin needed, this is great! I was nervous about tonights game but it couldn't get any better. Lin delivers first home loss to Knicks! That's the headline for tomorrow!

      yumma yumma yumma yumma yum-mmaaa

    3. No. Don't say that. Asian fans don't want mchale's head. We just want him to give Jeremy some good coaching n decision.

  64. Jeremy's work ethic is just so amazing. The bigger the game, the bigger his heart. And that alone is what makes him so effective compared to the other great basketball players who never make it in the NBA. I'm getting the feeling he will indeed have a long career in the NBA just because how hard working and skilled he is.

I am also predicting that he will be voted into the All Star game (There are reports he's 3rd in Guards behind Kobe and CP) which is awesome because there is a true demand and following for Jeremy. To anyone who says its not fair and that he shouldn't be an All Star is just a jealous hater.

And if Jeremy ends up playing in the league for 10-15 years, I think he is going to have a excellent shot at making the Hall of Fame, though it's funny because it will be another one of those "controversial" inductions with people claiming that the only reason he is in is because he is Asian... This type of controversy will follow Jeremy at every level.. from grade school to the hall of fame voting. LOL That time will come. Mark my words.

  72. Jeremy and James back in the pad their stats, why not? Ha.

Asik blows another pretty J-Lin dime! Come on, he should have at least ten dimes tonight.

Oh the luck of Rondo...I could average 10 assists on the Celtics.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah - Asik again not faking or did he?

      Delete
    2. Lin should not pass to Asik unless there is no other choice.

His inability to finish around the rim even though he is 7 feet is an outrageous joke.

      Delete
    3. He didn't fake, but he didn't need to. He just got blocked because he went up weak.

One great thing about Tyson is that he always goes up STRONG -- dunk or foul.

      Delete
    4. Jeremy is a true leader and PG. That's why he keeps passing to Asik 'cause he wants to build his confidence.

It's no coincidence that Asik has indeed looked better than ever before...and he's played with Rose some and a solid CJ Watson.

      Delete
  73. Stop blowing pretty J-Lin dimes, Omer!

Hehe...he doesn't mean to. He'll get better in time.
