There was an article I read somewhere that said Lin has a habit of ball watching and losing his man on the backdoor cut. That was an example of that. Lin is a good defender but those things are very glaring.
I have no idea but I literally cringed at that play. Sigh. This quarter is the worst I have seen Lin play so far, and I did watch that 4th quarter against the Jazz.
Ok, after thinking about it without letting my emotional jlin fandom get in the way, yeah, he deserved to get benched. I think his shot is throwing his whole game off. Seriously, it's bad mechanics, which leads to a life long slump that totally throws his confidence off. I mean, there's only so many times you can pass pass pass, but if you keep going 2/10, your overall game will start to slip as well...any bball player knows that, unless you have zero offensive skills and only plpay like a dennis rodman then your offense won't affect your entire game.
Lin not playing with energy, looking tired and lost out there. Making bad passes when he has an open lane to the rim. Was benched for a long time, but came back even worse.
Another stinker by Jeremy. He shows flashes of good play but always has a terrible stretch full of TOs and missed shots.
Starts 1-2 with 3 dimes, comes back in the 2nd and goes 0-4 with 2 TOs.
Really no excuses at this point, he had the ball plenty and was initiating the offense as well as having picks set for him and lots of good looks. He's just not performing.
I think everyone on this blog need to face the reality of lin being a fringe backup point guard in this league. He really is just not a nba caliber guard. He doesn't do anything that a guard like Jose Calderón can't do and latter is backup on a shifty raptors team
I think it's still too early to call Lin a fringe backup when he had some good games not so long ago. His first two games were very good! But it is very clear he is a confidence player and his shot mechanics are dismal. He also looks slower driving into the lane. Some players never recover after a knee injury. I am just worried his buddies crocked up his recovery regime and crocked him permanently. But there's still time...
Like yourself,I tuned into all his games last year and streaming every game this year with great hope for lin to breakout as only Asian player in the league. Last year was the perfect storm but this year it's easy to see him skills are lacking from ball handling to fundamental shooting and ability to finish at the rim. It's okay iknow it hurts and I feel it too but it's time to realize there will be another Asian star, just won't be lin
Lin, right now, is not playing up to his true capabilities. He admitted he is not 100% back yet and still has ways to go to regain his old form.
Opponents don't need to guard him closely in the perimeter and can just go under the screen to cut off Lin's driving lane. Other times, defenders can just wait in the paint to smother Lin and get ready block his shots. Lin therefore is being forced to pass even if he is in the paint. Lin's game has become quite predictable. What other ways can Lin score?
Lin will be back. Just be patient and have faith. Recovery takes time.
i'm sad to say he got paid guys, had his spotlight and now hes halfway to his church ministry. hes a good kid but I don't think he wants what most of us want from him.
I'd say that 75% of the posts on here are from trolls. This site is a magnet for trolls. And admin doesn't seem to give a sh*t. Hey, web traffic is web traffic.
I'm not posting on this site for the rest of the month.
People see Lin shooting an airball and they think he ALWAYS shoots airballs, that he's never made a basket in his entire career. Short term memory.
Okay for those who aren't trolls, but fans, how do you think JLIN can get back to playing at his level last year? Is it his legs? Will he recover? Or is his injury something you can't ever get back from? Is it his crappy mechanics? Does he need to fire his coach? I'm trying to think of how he can get back and I'm not sure...I can only think that he needs to get a real shooting coach..This freaking sucks to watch...
Crappy mechanics, causing confidence problems, causing the team to not trust him, which causes him to lose confidence even more.
Coach is part of the issue but he needs to produce. He can not keep playing like a scrub. Even if he is physically weak it doesn't account for his terrible playmaking today. 5 TOs omg, he is being extremely careless...Maybe because he is tired? Poor physical conditioning?
Only he can get himself past this.
MAYBE its caused by his legs, I don't know, but his shot form is terrible compared to last year. He is always hitting the rim, lack of power? Maybe.
only he himself knows whats really wrong. I really dont think its the same JLIN we saw last year. Something is bothering him and he needs to open it up.
Rockets is winning the game, and he basically didn't show up. Les is going to look at this long and hard. They'll either investigate Lin's troubles, or just plan to get rid of him.
if rockets win tonight lin will chalk it up as a good game. he hates the spotlight, he had something to prove last year and a contract to earn. mission accomplished. hes done with all that and we will have to accept it.
What are you idiots watching. His mechanics are fine. All of outside shots are short... Needs lower arc. As far as a shooting coach: Doc is in the Bay Area while Jeremy is inHouston. If anything he needs to see him on a regular basis to get him in the right mindset.
Not having a shot at all and having teammates who set good screens off and on the ball means that the defence can slag off him completely, cut him from driving to the paint and simply play the passing lanes. Defenders can just go under the screen every time when they defend against Lin. I suspect his assists are also down in the last two games because he is having to make harder passes because of lack of openings. He also doesn't seem to have the pure speed to just leave his defender flat-footed at the moment so that option is out too. But actually, I am not sure if it is really because he is slower or simply because of the extra distance his defender can leave him.
As everyone has said, a lot of these problems will clear up once Lin finds his shot.
im still thinking he is trying to get into his fighting form. I'll wait till the all-star break. We really can't speculate right now. there's just too many factors. new team, young players, new coach, the surgery. For whatever reason this is not the jeremy Lin we know and there is no way he will stay this way. Of course as a fan i want him to adjust faster but then what can i do. I'll just sucked it up for now.
Ok. Like I said before, Jeremy Lin's shot is off. I saw this when he was warming up at the Lakers-Rockets game with my own eyes. It is a mechanical thing....plain and simple. This has caused him to lose confidence in other aspects of his game - which is why is also blowing many 3-5 foot shots as well. The other confounding factor is that the coaches are using him inappropriately.
This can all change very quickly, which I see happening at some point this season. The majority of this problem rests with him, however.
Many people don't like this analogy, but people can go through serious cold streaks. Albert Pujols could not hit a homer for a month with his new team and anyone could strike him out for 1 month solid...then it all changed very quickly.
Stu... What do you think is wrong with the mechanics of his shot. And be specific not just some thing you make up after reading a book Is it his release, his balance, his legs. What is it according to your highly trained eye?
This dude lost all his heart. They r going to send him to da DLeague if he keeps playing like this. Lin has to earn his time n respect like he has done im da past...unless hes given up now th@ he has the big contract. I hope th@s not the case. Hes still gon be an all star this year (votes only!)
Well! We have to accept this , because he is not doing any good on almost every game. He is making all the mistakes over and over again . I think only god can save him now .
uh oh...Jeremy Lin 23 mins while other starters has 30+ ..... uh oh....it's not the coach's fault. Jeremy has no confidence. Learn from Jamal Crawford. trust yourself. believe in god? believe in yourself!!!
I hate to say this but even though Carmelo was always asking for the ball - there were way more enthusiastic high-fives and team enthusiasm then I have seen with this team.
These are the type of games that will either toughen up or break Jlin's confidence. He needs to find that fire inside him that sparked his high level play. Because I don't see it in him.
I certainly hope so. I'm glad Douglas played well so hopefully it inspires Lin to hustle and play with confidence to shoot out of his slump. What a role reversal from the NY situation. Lin needs to do some soul-searching but I believe he will overcome. Hopefully sooner than later.
I can see him getting traded even though his value won't net more than a back-up player and a 2nd Round draft pick. Perhaps Houston does give him another season to prove himself, but they can't like the negative publicity that is coming with his poor play. Morey looks like an idiot for signing him to a deal that his play did not warrant and I'm sure his ego doesn't like that.
It is hard to watch this game. Depressing. I feel really bad for this guy. His shots are not falling. Teammates not trusting him anymore. Even Douglas was making his 3's. He's not getting any calls from the Refs. Anybody out there???
I feel you on this Mel. I don't know what to say. As Lin fans we're going to have to support Lin during his season struggles and hope for the best down the tunnel.
Honestly not sure why I keep torturing myself with these Rockets games at this point...I guess I keep expecting Lin to finally get back to form but he's just plummeting further and further into scrub territory.
Now he's been outplayed by TD and Sampson is getting praised for playing him down the stretch.
He looks like a weak beta male this season. What happened to his leadership and killer instinct?
as bad as jlin is shooting the crazy thing is that toney douglas has WORSE shooting percentages this year. so what's the difference? CONFIDENCE. at least toney looks like he belongs out there. he's not afraid. the pressure is cracking jlin. he needs to pray.. and get a new shooting coach.
He's been praying. That's probably all he ever does. His main problem is that he isn't taking any responsibility for this debacle of a season so far. He doesn't seem to be fighting or having any sense of urgency out there. As ridiculous as it sounds, I can't see Houston keeping him after this season if he keeps playing like this.
He needs to be mad not depressed. He needs Madness to fuel the fire of playing basketball with confidence. Be mad not sad, being sad is weakness. You need to get upset and move on to the next game. I never saw Jordan ever be sad in a game, but I've seen him upset plenty of times.
Bulls are beatable right now though as they don't have a great record this season either.
Jlin will continue to be starter, but will slowly loose minutes to back PG TD. Only if Jlin's confidence is still low and can't hit his shots. Sampson wants Lin to shoot and Lin is not, so it's up to Lin to take those shots. He needs to find it in himself to find that fire.
all nba players go through slumps but they get to play through mistakes...unlike Lin. He's getting less minutes with each game, he's getting taken out at crucial moments (4th qtr)...it's not looking good.
Let's be honest here, you have to be a little worried.
Good game for TD at the end but Lin is still the starter - easily. Look at TD FG% - its laughable...plus he only made one FG the whole game. Lin's ceiling is way way higher. I guarantee he will not play this poorly in a few games.
I'm happy for TD. He's always been a good guy.
Lin will be back. He does not need to be a great shooter. He's gotta start making his layups and then play of those and hit his jumpers.
Sampson pretty much sapped every bit of confidence from Lin. yanking him every chance he gets. game after game until finally he broke Lin. Douglas is horrible yet Sampson gives him so many chances to succeed it's like they're family, it's ridiculous. you give any player that many chances and he's bound to look good once in a while. stupid coach. they got a win but they're moving in the wrong direction with this coaching staff.
Some of u say not Sampson's fault n there is some truth to that. But don't forget lin got benched too in the entire ot while playing well. Don't u guys get this feeling that Sampson is just waiting for a chance to take him out. Not playing well definitely out. U can already see that Sampson WILL NOT let lin play through struggles. I don't think it's necessarily is racism, but I get this feeling Sampson does not believe in Lin for some reason and his goal is rather short term - He must win now if he ever wants a chance to head coach anywhere in the future in light of his past history. He is not interested in developing a player or team through mistakes.
JLin needs to look deep inside himself to find the same fearlessness and agression that he had last season against the Nets. His back is against the wall, everything is on the line. He'll come through against the NYK - this is his wakeup call and he'll respond.
This isn't about Sampson. Let's stop the excuses. Even if Sampson takes Lin out when he shouldn't (and that's subjective), Lin has plenty of time to prove himself in all the minutes he's given. Man, I'm really tired of the excuses.
Let's go Linsanity!!!
ReplyDeleteLet's go Lin!
ReplyDeleteBrik...Not enough strength? Short again, nothing but rim.
ReplyDeleteLin playing some weak defense on Kirk Heinrich, not contesting him or picking him up in transition.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteCan't let Hinrich get hot when he's been shooting like poop all season, Lin!
ReplyDeleteNice work forcing the TO there though!
DeleteHe can beat Heinrich off the dribble anytime he wants, but he's not taking advantage of that mismatch.
DeleteWhat is patterson good for anyway, just wondering
ReplyDeleteAlright JLin 20 more of those reverse layups and win this game kthx :)
ReplyDeleteOh interesting Lin and Harden out at same time, greg smith/TD in now.
ReplyDeleteThey really need to put TJ in instead of Patterson...
Delete>3ft, Jeremy shoots 22%. EOM.
ReplyDeleteLin with a solid first quarter
ReplyDeleteLol...Harden isos, sees double team, tries to split, and gets his cherries stolen...So predictable.
ReplyDelete2% chance of Harden passing the ball when he drives to the hoop.
ReplyDeleteahhhh what the heck was that pass asik
ReplyDeleteFollowed by an equally weak pass by Lin...
DeleteHe just lobs it, c'mon Lin ur better than that.
Lin just caught the TO bug as well. Timeout. I have to get used to the fact that young teams are going to have collective brain farts once in a while!
Deletecouple of sloppy plays and chicago leads.
DeleteThere was an article I read somewhere that said Lin has a habit of ball watching and losing his man on the backdoor cut. That was an example of that. Lin is a good defender but those things are very glaring.
DeleteLol sigh...That's all I gotta say about that.
ReplyDeleteI'm just hoping he'll make more than 3 shots today.
DeleteLin bad defense and continue to bad shooting , I don't know what to say man !
ReplyDeleteLin really having trouble keeping up with the speed of Robinson.
ReplyDeleteRockets not even putting a hand up to contest shots on defense.
Sampson MUST stop yanking Lin after good starts.
ReplyDeleteJeremy started 1/2 with 3 dimes and 0 TOs and a lead. And then Sampson yanks him for 8 minutes and Jeremy goes cold.
I'm sick of this s**t coaching.
They sit him for way too long.
DeleteBut based on his performance you can almost say its justified...But its obvious he goes cold.
But still, its like he walked into the freezer or something, can't d, can't shoot, can't layup, can't pass.
I wonder if he even knows he is struggling?
And out goes Lin...
DeleteHarden heating up. he sure is a fast healer.
DeleteWhy did Lin slow down and let Robinson catch up?
ReplyDeleteI have no idea but I literally cringed at that play. Sigh. This quarter is the worst I have seen Lin play so far, and I did watch that 4th quarter against the Jazz.
DeleteHe's tired, out of shape, Josh Fan did a terrible job as a trainer.
DeleteRobinson is only 5'9"" lol
ReplyDeleteJust getting harder and harder to watch...
ReplyDeleteso lin is being yanked? come on..let him play through his mistakes...
ReplyDeleteCan't pull him out when he's playing well, can't pull him out when he's playing bad... What is a coach supposed to do?
DeletePersonally I think Robinson is a bad matchup for Lin and it would be good to let Lin come in when Hinrich comes back in.
DeleteOk, after thinking about it without letting my emotional jlin fandom get in the way, yeah, he deserved to get benched. I think his shot is throwing his whole game off. Seriously, it's bad mechanics, which leads to a life long slump that totally throws his confidence off. DeleteWhy is he playing that bad man? Seem like he is not a nba level player . I'm sick of watching this
ReplyDeleteyeah sad. Right now Jeremy looks like a bench player at best
DeleteWow -10 already...Jeremy Lin plz fire your trainer buddy and get someone good, plz plz plz...
ReplyDeleteLin not playing with energy, looking tired and lost out there. Making bad passes when he has an open lane to the rim. Was benched for a long time, but came back even worse.
Deleteget Yi Jianlian back in the league, teach him how to play, then we'll have Yi Jianliananity
ReplyDeleteAfter the strong first quarter Lin really stunk it up in the second
ReplyDeleteNo confidence, hesitating, he just got to play and be mean on the court and stop being mr nice guy on the court.
ReplyDeletewaiting for a 3-15 shooting night.. halfway there
ReplyDeleteAnother stinker by Jeremy. He shows flashes of good play but always has a terrible stretch full of TOs and missed shots.
ReplyDeleteStarts 1-2 with 3 dimes, comes back in the 2nd and goes 0-4 with 2 TOs.
Really no excuses at this point, he had the ball plenty and was initiating the offense as well as having picks set for him and lots of good looks. He's just not performing.
Sigh at this point I almost want Sampson to bench him and start TD. Lin is like, pathetic, right now.
DeleteDoes he know Les is in the audience?
It sucks watching your favorite player royally screw up like this. Fire your friends and hire some real pros to help you out Lin.
Who the hell is his personal manager? good gracious! Someone needs to light a fire in him or something!
ReplyDeleteLinsanity 2.0 is starting to pick up....but for all the wrong reasons. Linsanely ......bad
ReplyDeleteTroll.
DeleteI think everyone on this blog need to face the reality of lin being a fringe backup point guard in this league. He really is just not a nba caliber guard. He doesn't do anything that a guard like Jose Calderón can't do and latter is backup on a shifty raptors team
ReplyDeleteDid you see any of his games last season with the Knicks? How did he do that if he's a fringe backup?
DeleteBaller, he better start blaming his legs. Otherwise, Jeremy has nothing to say but just look at the stats.
Deletesomeone jumping off the bandwagon early in the season??

DeleteYou see someone playing at his worst after coming back from injury, and you say that's all he is and that's the best he'll ever be.
DeleteI see someone who was playing at his best last season, and he has the potential to match that production.

Lin will be back. Just be patient and have faith. Recovery takes time.
they just have to end the quarter with a turn over. well at least the Bulls didn't score off that TO. Lin need to turn it up in the second half.
ReplyDeleteIt's just killing me that the Knicks is winning and Lin is struggling. And all the haters is right so far......come on Jlin this is not you.
ReplyDeleteso let me add to ur discomfort. felton is having a field day and shooting as many times as Melo almost every game. But you probably know that already.
DeleteTrust I tune to their games just to pray they will loose . Lol
DeleteMe
DeleteDon't remind me that Lin could have been playing under the mentorship of Jason Kidd.
Deletei'm sad to say he got paid guys, had his spotlight and now hes halfway to his church ministry. hes a good kid but I don't think he wants what most of us want from him.
ReplyDeleteHe got paid so he's now playing as a backup.
DeleteMaybe JLin is just getting rid of the crappy plays early in the game, so he can look good 2nd half.
ReplyDeleteOne can hope anyway.
That's the fighting spirit.
DeleteLol Sampson telling Jeremy "MOVE THE BALL MOVE THE BALL" hahahaha never thought someone would be telling Jeremy that.
ReplyDeleteBut that was a really bad drive by JLin...

DeleteI'm not a troll. I'm a big JLin fan. Got league pass and have watched almost every game he has played in. This is just so disappointing to see.
DeleteOmg! Are u guys watching ? Can't offense , defense , asst , shoot, 5 TO 2-8 .
ReplyDeleteYeah, unfortunately.
DeleteHe is totally crashing, unwatchable.
And out he goes.
DeleteThis is just as bad as the game against Heat last year...Except the Bulls are not even worried about him.
Jeremy lin no confidence in his game
ReplyDeleteLost of words to comment on Lin and Rockets game tonite :(
ReplyDeleteTD NO DEFENSE

ReplyDeletewow...Jeremy never misses long, dead on. it's either short, left or right. wow. confidence...shot.

DeleteSo Harden has gone out then back in already. Jeremy is still out. Bet he won't be let back in till 5 or 6 minutes left.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that too. He's not having a good game though. Douglas is trying to impress Sampson ha ha...This is crazy.
DeleteI see how this rockets work. Its iso offense or pick n roll offense on whoever is best shooter on the court.
ReplyDeleteSeems like Sampson trusts Tony more than Lin at this point, and sad to say who could really blame him this game?
ReplyDeleteJeremy made the same mistake Landry made and messed with his shooting mechanics.
Landry went from being a 50% and 40% from three shooter to one of the worst shooters in the NBA in one offseason.
I just think it's not very wise to change something that isn't really broken.
Well! We have to accept this , because he is not doing any good on almost every game. He is making all the mistakes over and over again . I think only god can save him now .
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, this is definitely Harden's team now. Harden is keeping this game alive.
ReplyDeleteJeremy won't even play 30 minutes this game. Sampson losing confidence in him.
ReplyDeletewell at least he's letting him close the game.
DeleteExcept he just put TD in again
Deleteyeah and he just made a three pointer
DeleteThis is easily JLin's worst game after a pretty good 1st quarter.
ReplyDeleteBut there is no other way but up after this, right? He just needs to have that fire burning in him and just play all out.
uh oh...Jeremy Lin 23 mins while other starters has 30+ ..... uh oh....it's not the coach's fault. Jeremy has no confidence. Learn from Jamal Crawford. trust yourself. believe in god? believe in yourself!!!
ReplyDeleteLin is back into the game. Rockets currently down by 1. If Lin wants to redeem himself now is the time.
ReplyDeleteNO TURNOVERS PLEASE!
How the hell was that not a foul on Lin???

ReplyDeleteRobinson 5'9" out play Jeremy lin ?
ReplyDeleteYou equate height with talent. Nate can ball
DeleteYes, because Nate is one of the fastest PG in the NBA.
DeleteAnd Nate can shoot lots of BRICKS too!
DeleteLow scoring percentages by the Bulls guards too.
Not tonight. He owned lin
DeleteWtf. TD is in.
ReplyDeleteSampson is trying to break JLin down mentally. Lol
DeleteDouglas with the 3 for the lead with 1 minute left. Looks like Jeremy will be coming off the bench soon. Very sad
DeleteJeremy's been benched
ReplyDelete03:22 Lin Substitution replaced by Douglas
ReplyDeleteOMG
Lin benched again in crunch time. Lin is losing ground on this team to DOUGLAS. smh.
ReplyDeleteas much as it hurts...can't blame the coach
Deleteoff night for lin, and nate robinson needs to be slowed
Haha lin is out again , why did the coach let him out for a minute ? Lol ! That's funny .
ReplyDeleteLin is out for good, TD in for Lin.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be surprised if he is on bench vs Knicks.
Sad night. We were witnesses to the rise of Jeremy Lin, and tonight we are seeing a chapter in the fall of Jeremy Lin
ReplyDeleteit's not who starts, it's who finishes the game. Jeremy Lin vs NJ nets...last year.
ReplyDeleteLin's hit rock bottom with this game...nowhere he can go but up after this hopefully.
ReplyDeletehhhmmm.... not yet...losing starting position would be.
DeleteMight be seeing that soon
DeleteTony Dougla-sanity!!!
ReplyDeletewow...TD with the clutch three
ReplyDeleteI was not expecting that lol
DeleteTD with the ice cold 3 pointer!
ReplyDeleteLin did not look happy with TD making that 3...
ReplyDeleteLOL now Douglas hits a dagger 3. Just reinforcing Sampson's decisions more and more.
ReplyDeleteThis is just depressing.
Td made the 3 points shot! He will be the starting pg next game. U can't blame Sampson to bench lin this game .
ReplyDeleteI think TD is gonna start vs. the Knicks now. He has all of Sampson's trust now!
ReplyDeleteJlin might lose his starting position soon. TD hit a bif 3 pointer and is playing decent D on Nate Robinson.
ReplyDeleteRockets might get this "W" too, without Jlin.
Hopefully this game will wake Jlin up to play the game with passion and confidence.
TD with clutch free throw. Not a good sign for Lin.
DeleteI love Jlin, but his confidence is really low right now. He doesn't look like he has the confidence and passion to play.
DeleteThese are the type of games that will either toughen up or break Jlin's confidence. He needs to find that fire inside him that sparked his high level play. Because I don't see it in him.
DeleteI certainly hope so. I'm glad Douglas played well so hopefully it inspires Lin to hustle and play with confidence to shoot out of his slump. What a role reversal from the NY situation. Lin needs to do some soul-searching but I believe he will overcome. Hopefully sooner than later.
Deleteplease do not blame Sampson. If Lin can shoot and not TO, he wouldn't be bench for lack of speed on Robinson. Do not blame Sampson.
ReplyDeletewow...you don't even put back Lin your 90% FT shooter? Wow!!!!! no confidence in Lin at ALL...
ReplyDeleteLin hasn't delivered all season. He doesn't deserve it.
DeleteWill Houston cut lin again like before ?
ReplyDeleteDon't think they will cut him but he will likely be benched
DeleteI can see him getting traded even though his value won't net more than a back-up player and a 2nd Round draft pick. Perhaps Houston does give him another season to prove himself, but they can't like the negative publicity that is coming with his poor play. Morey looks like an idiot for signing him to a deal that his play did not warrant and I'm sure his ego doesn't like that.
DeleteI am more worried about the fact that of all the days to have an utter stinker of a game, Lin does it on a day when Les is in the audience.
DeleteIt is hard to watch this game. Depressing. I feel really bad for this guy. His shots are not falling. Teammates not trusting him anymore. Even Douglas was making his 3's. He's not getting any calls from the Refs. Anybody out there???
ReplyDeleteI feel you on this Mel. I don't know what to say. As Lin fans we're going to have to support Lin during his season struggles and hope for the best down the tunnel.
DeleteOk, TD just iced Chicago with two free throws.
ReplyDeleteFck. Lin's career is over now. TD has supplanted LIN!
ReplyDeleteIt's just one game bro
Deletenow this is what we call overreaction.
DeleteHonestly not sure why I keep torturing myself with these Rockets games at this point...I guess I keep expecting Lin to finally get back to form but he's just plummeting further and further into scrub territory.
ReplyDeleteNow he's been outplayed by TD and Sampson is getting praised for playing him down the stretch.
He looks like a weak beta male this season. What happened to his leadership and killer instinct?
there is no one else to root for until baseball season and ichiro finally gets his ring.
DeleteIchiro to the Giants, hopefully.
Deleteichi and the sandman 2013
Deletethe commentators are talking very highly about Tony Douglas. Lin still on bench. 9 points in 4th. Good block! on Noah!
ReplyDeleteas bad as jlin is shooting the crazy thing is that toney douglas has WORSE shooting percentages this year. so what's the difference? CONFIDENCE. at least toney looks like he belongs out there. he's not afraid. the pressure is cracking jlin. he needs to pray.. and get a new shooting coach.
ReplyDeleteHe's been praying. That's probably all he ever does. His main problem is that he isn't taking any responsibility for this debacle of a season so far. He doesn't seem to be fighting or having any sense of urgency out there. As ridiculous as it sounds, I can't see Houston keeping him after this season if he keeps playing like this.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteTired of the shooting coach excuse. It's a players responsibility to shoot well. It's not anyone's fault but the one shooting the rock.
ReplyDeletei'm embarrassed as an Asian....
ReplyDeleteWhy should you be embarrassed as an Asian?
DeleteYou weren't the one playing the game!
Lin doesn't represent Asians. Lin represents Lin!
the hell? lol khuang
DeleteLOL @ KHuang.
DeleteThat's definitely not the impression that you've left since you've been on this board.
Aren't you Mr. Militant Asian Dude?
Lin looks really depressed on the bench.
ReplyDeleteTD 8/8 FT - 11 pts 2 assists 2 TO
DeleteJL 4 pts 3 assists 5 TO
He needs to be mad not depressed. He needs Madness to fuel the fire of playing basketball with confidence. Be mad not sad, being sad is weakness. You need to get upset and move on to the next game. I never saw Jordan ever be sad in a game, but I've seen him upset plenty of times.
DeleteI think lin can't sleep tonight lol
ReplyDeletehe needs to, he still have a game against the knicks.
DeleteNo Jlin all 4th quarter, Rockets win over Bulls.
ReplyDeleteBulls are beatable right now though as they don't have a great record this season either.
Let's keep this in perspective:
ReplyDeleteWhile Douglas played well today, he's still play worse than Lin overall. He's not going to lose his starting job. At least not yet.
I guarantee you Sampson is much higher on TD than Lin. Sampson's letting TD finish games...you only let your core players finish games.
DeleteIt's disappointing, folks but there is no need to overreact. All NBA players had their slump.
ReplyDeleteHouston will be patient with him but Lin needs to find a way to get his confidence and fire back similar to his time in NY. Next is NY on Friday!
all nba players go through slumps but they get to play through mistakes...unlike Lin. He's getting less minutes with each game, he's getting taken out at crucial moments (4th qtr)...it's not looking good.
DeleteLet's be honest here, you have to be a little worried.
If Lin is a no show again on Friday with the NYK, his starting PG role might be stripped.
ReplyDeleteI didn't watch the game but I don't plan on watching it either...it doesn't sound good for Lin. This so so depressing.
ReplyDeletethere will be 10 seconds of highlights on youtube, so you're good.
DeleteI think i'll pass. I can't stand seeing Lin sitting on the bench and TD (bum) on the court.
DeleteSomeone should make a lowlights on youtube to wake up Lin.
Delete"Houston, we a have problem"
ReplyDeleteGood game for TD at the end but Lin is still the starter - easily. Look at TD FG% - its laughable...plus he only made one FG the whole game. Lin's ceiling is way way higher. I guarantee he will not play this poorly in a few games.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy for TD.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair! U can't blame Sampson this game. Lin was really playing like a scrub this game .
DeleteSome of u say not Sampson's fault n there is some truth to that.
ReplyDeleteJLin needs to look deep inside himself to find the same fearlessness and agression that he had last season against the Nets. His back is against the wall, everything is on the line. He'll come through against the NYK - this is his wakeup call and he'll respond.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't about Sampson. Let's stop the excuses. Even if Sampson takes Lin out when he shouldn't (and that's subjective), Lin has plenty of time to prove himself in all the minutes he's given. Man, I'm really tired of the excuses.
