Jeremy Lin back to Houston, it was late, drive carefully..
ReplyDeleteDoc Scheppler said that Jeremy could become a 50/40/90 player (FG/3pt/FT). And I'm beginning to believe it. Not this season, but in the next 2-3 years.
ReplyDeleteTeams are going to force the ball out of Jeremy's hands, so I'm glad he's learning to play off the ball. Like I said before, I predict a 20pt/8ast season for JL as a result.
I totally agree.
DeleteI believe in Doc Scheppler's methods, though I admit that I've been skeptical. However, I cannot argue with Doc Scheppler's amazing results with Jeremy Lin. Doc has done a GREAT job with Lin!
There aren't many players that can switch between point guard and shooting guard effectively, but Jeremy Lin is one of the few who can. As far as I'm concerned, I just want Lin to become a complete basketball player who plays "guard".
Though Kevin Martin is the deserving starting shooting guard on this Rockets team, there will be times when Jeremy Lamb and Jeremy Lin play together in the same backcourt. Since I view Jeremy Lamb also as a "guard" as opposed to strictly a "shooting" guard, it would behoove Lamb to handle the ball and run the point position at times. I can even envision Jeremy Lamb and Kevin Martin playing together in the backcourt while Lin sits!
It's too bad Royce White didn't get to participate in the training camp. I wonder how this will effect his chemistry with the team. He might be behind the learning curve for a couple games. I'm curious to know what the offense will look like with Royce on the floor with Lin.
ReplyDeleteHes got young and optimistic teammates who Im sure will show some understanding for his situation. He is an AWESOME bball player and Im sure hes gonna catch up with the team. Rockets brought him on the team knowing what they would have to deal with. They will find a way to make it work. Im definitely rooting for him :)
DeleteHis team mates have been sending supportive texts and seem to understand [at least for now.]
DeleteHe's worked out a plan with management, this in itself would lessen his anxiety [on top of his anxiety.] I hope things go smoothly when he rejoins them on Monday. I'm rooting for him as well. :)
Machado looks good playing. He has his playing weight back; lost 10 lbs just like Lin.
ReplyDeleteHe worried me at first with his comments about Lin (as a would be teammate), but I think he will be just fine.
I also think that, as an undrafted (and not from a basketball-factory college), he was a beneficiary of the Jeremy Lin effect.
And with Lin drawing the bulk of defensive attention on offense from opponents, Machado won't ever see more than token defensive pressure when they play together.
DeleteSimilarly, Machado on defense will be playing with one of the best help defenders in Lin. So Machado won't get victimized on isolations the way he would playing for other teams.
Scott Machado NEEDS Jeremy Lin to make the NBA.
Hi all JLIN fans: is time for me to bid you all goodbye for the next 12 months; going for mission work in INDO CHINA and without internet connection for that period of time. I will carry with me all the good, bad or worst comments I made on this site but most importat of all I send my best wishes and my heartfelt prayers to Jeremy Lin (he will always in my prayers)and to all of you. He awaken my desires to serve others as ling as I live, bring joy and give support and encouragement to less previledge within my capacity. Jeremy has inspires me to pick up my life that I thought it was long gone and I wallow in pity for years but I realise that his testimonials in Hongkong and Taipei has once again open the floodgate that I, myself are not able to contain; the emotion is too great and I was on my knee praying for the streangth and courage to carry on wih my head held up high. Nothing is impossible as long as you believe and work hard for he goal; no matter what is the result, I will always carry with me these verses : Rom 5:2-5 & Col 3:17

Mike Woodson's now saying that Lin needs to work on "a lot".
ReplyDeleteWell, Woodson must have had such a rough time playing Lin all those minutes especially in crunch time.
I think Woodson will be far happier with Jason Kidd and Pablo Prigione and Raymond Felton each producing a fraction of what Lin alone will produce next season.
It indeed would take "A LOT" for Lin to work on if he is to degrade his game down to Raymond Felton or Jason Kidd's or Pablo Prigione's level!
For the first time in a long time, I think the Knicks are going to be HAPPY with their point guard situation even if the production isn't there!
Crazy comments even Tyson Chandler I cant believe it.New York basketball or talk show?
Deletewho is writing the paycheck of those players?
Deletepolitically correct comments....LOL
Have you seen all the preseason games. Dallas, Boston, NO, OR games? Low scoring w lots of TOs. So let's not over analyze what we saw from the Houston training camp.
ReplyDeleteis there a live stream of the Houston-OKC pre season game?
