  1. not a single comment on such an important game!

    Who cares, LOL...

  2. For all those critical of Jlin and how Baron should be starting, and how Melo should be the focal point of the offense, tonight they are getting their wish. So far at the half the Knicks are down by 5. Stay tuned for the verdict.

  3. Following the ESPN GameCast online, whose covering Dunleavy? Funny with all those ex-Warriors on both rosters-Monta, Udoh, Dunleavy, Jermey and Baron.

  4. many who left GSW becoming a better player if not playing for All Star game :)

  5. Looks like the Knicks might get this win, in reality they need too...but its not because of melo's efforts or what have you, the bucks are playing bad so are the knicks..real bad but the knicks are getting to the line and have more rebounds.

  6. Bucks play like kaka and they're still in this game. Give props to Chandler with all the offensive rebounds though. One thing I notice about this game is that coach W just let BDavis play through his mistakes. As for JLin, W benched him the instant Lin made a mistake. He rather sub in sorry ass Bibby instead. This was during the time Bdavis was hurt. WTF man? This is getting on my nerve. Anyhow, the game is freaking pathetic to watch without JLin playing.

  7. Because the coach fancy BD .. not Jeremy. I think the coach is one of the guys overlook Jeremy even now ...

    1. BD +/- pretty good and putting up jeremy lin type numbers. i think it's hard to assume that coach w is favoring BD - wouldn't you rather ride BD through his mistakes than giving bibby too many minutes?

let's just hope lin gets to 100% healthy. knicks need this game.

    2. I agree that BD is obviously better than bibby ...

If i remember correctly .... coach said 'BD is great and experience point guard, I am happy to have him'
and .. said Jeremy ' Jeremy is good but not great point guard' in different occasion. He only concern is just BD health.

But anyway, I really just wish Lin gets 100% healthy and have fun in the game ...

    3. Yeah agree. Although BD had 6 turnovers in first half. I still think JLin has more explosivness and excitement than BD.

    4. because we are Jlin fans .. hahaha ... but i afraid that coach may think differently .. haiz ...

    5. It doesn't matter what the Coach thinks. If things don't work out for Jeremy in New York, he'll have other options, with other teams actually wanting to nourish and develop his talent. New York is way too much. Fans are crazy (boo the team when they do poorly. I mean, seriously?!), staff wants to cater to two superstars, and teammates are jealous.

  8. bucks FG% and FT% is very low today and too many fouls, it give Cameron Anthony a lot of opportunity.

    1. those statistics don't come out of nowhere. it's because of shumpert and j.r smith's defense. Got to give credit to Carmelo for stepping up when he needs to.

It was his 12 rebounds that really impressed me tonight.

  9. Wonder if Linsanity (no Stat, no Melo?) returns on Wednesday.

Lin, Tyson, Novak et al with Davis and JR spear-heading second unit?

Like that Shump has stepped up in the clutch (steals and 3 point shooting when it is really needed). Much better decision making than earlier in season.

  10. This was an ideal result for Jeremy.

The Knicks won an important game, but Baron Davis played poorly against a team J-Lin carved up (20p/13a/4s/5to last time).

No matter what happens the rest of the regular season, I have a feeling Jeremy will come up huge in the playoffs...if the Knicks can make it.

Doesn't matter if he faces the Heat, he will make adjustments and be clutch as usual.

    1. Absolutely...especially when Lebron doesn't play the 4th quarter.

  11. Baron Davis's stat lin: 13 points (on 3-12 shooting), 7 assists, 5 rebounds, and frigging 9 turnovers!

I bet Stephen A. Smith and other New York fans start calling for B Diddy to start now. After all, he led New York to a key win without Amare and JLin!

    LOL.

  12. A tough win for the Knicks, but they did it. This game confirmed a few things that we already knew:

    1. Carmelo is playing injured. That's why his scoring is way down this season.

    2. Nobody on this Knicks team runs the fast break better than Jeremy Lin. Knicks are missing easy layups in transition or throwing bad passes and lobs.

    3. Nobody is more effective running the offense than Jeremy Lin. Baron Davis did OK, but he was turnover prone, had trouble getting into the lane, and jacking up really bad shots at the end of the shot clock buzzer.

    4. Jeremy Lin > Baron Davis > Mike Bibby, Tony Douglas.

If Lin played in this game, it would have been a blow out, not a close victory. Knicks would dominate, and rest their starters in the 4th quarter.

  13. Bucks handed this game to the Knicks, and that's about it. LOL

    1. Yeah, Milwaukee lost the game.

New York did not really win it.

    2. Yeap. Haven't seen Monta shooting 2-14 for a long time.

  14. This game shows why Lin should be starting over Baron. Lin can bring more energy for longer periods of time. Davis had a good first half. Thats where 11 of his 13 points came but he ran out of gas down the stretch. In the 4th he couldn't do anything. No ball movement, no penetration . The best he could do was to hoist up bricks from the outside. and Jennings started taking it to him on the other end of the floor. And the 9 turnovers!?! That had been everyone's biggest criticism of Jeremy so I guess at this point they should have nothing to say.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Baron Davis has been exposed... Ha hahah. 9TO's!
for that matter, The Bucks have been EXPOSED! 35% shooting
Actually, the Knicks have been Exposed! 35% shooting
    ...thank you Stephan Ass Smith.

  16. http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/knicks/post/_/id/15231/rest-is-best-for-lins-sore-knee

He says he feels a lot better today, but he's still not sure he's playing Wednesday. I don't want him aggravating his sore knee, but this is a great opportunity to flash some Linsanity.

It's a nationally televised game against a top team, and without Amare, the Knicks will rely even more on Jeremy. He runs the pick and roll better with Tyson anyway.

Without Jeremy, I don't see how the Knicks beat the Magic...it could get ugly, in fact.

  17. I think I enjoy the discussion about the game here more than watching the game itself. Love this dedicated site to our boy JLin.

  18. Melo tweaked his groin in the game. Last time he was out 7 games. Maybe we will get a second round of Linsanity.

    ReplyDelete
  19. The Knicks are in big trouble if STAT is gone for the season. The fact that he's seeking a second opinion in Miami is suggesting that he may need surgery.

Even with the big win tonight, it was not a good performance. The Knicks shot poorly and turned the ball over 23 times...not a good sign. Luckily, the Bucs also had a bad shooting night (Monta 2-for-12).

On the positive side, the Knicks won the rebound battle despite using a small lineup. Carmelo played well at the 4 and was able to hit a few of those mid-range jumpers that he's been missing all month. Shumpert may have found his long range rhythm, but JR is still struggling with his 3s.

The Knicks really need JLin to come back strong and take over like he did during Linsanity. With Amare gone, JLin should be free to take more shots, and hopefully score over 20 pts. per game, minus those turnovers.

  20. LETS GO JEREMY - YOU CAN DO THIS!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Of course on the NBA channel's Knicks scroll, there was no mention of B Davis 9 TOs. For JLin it stated a DNP (Coach Decision).

JLin didn't play because of an injury which was omitted.

    1. what are you serious? that is ridiculous, i swear what does an asian american player have to do to get some respect in the NBA.

Wish Yao Ming owned a basketball team and then he can get Jlin and build a team around him.

      Delete
    2. That's true. If you check the box scores, it does show he had 9 TO's. This was exactly how many turnovers Lin had in that loss to New Orleans Hornets, that provoked the "Chink in the Armor" headline.

Yao Ming owns the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association.

  22. Jeremy is hurt. I think he should rest as long as he needs before something really bad happens to his knee or other related anatomical areas like his ankle.

He needs to make sure he's healthy so his trade value will be higher next season. Forget about this season and let the wolves have their share.

JLin can take this time to fully heal and improve i the summer. Not worth trying to do anything with only 20 games left in the season.

  23. The game last night was pretty anticlmactic without Lin playing. I found it kinda annoying that everyone seemed to be making excuses for BD's 9 turnovers.I guess BD has been exposed now lol. The Bucks didn't show up yesterday minus Mike Dunleavy. I hope Lin comes back for the next game cuz it's just not fun to watch without him in the lineup. The Knicks have to play better if they want to beat Orlando on Wednesday.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I actually think Jeremy could learn a lot about the PG position from Baron Davis. Davis makes mistakes because of his diminishing skill level but to me still has excellent passing skills and court anticipation. Of course I wouldn't want to see Lin get any of BD's character traits. It doesn't matter that much who starts the game, Lin has already proven he is money in the 4th quarter and should finish the game.

Here's hoping the injury isn't too serious. I recall he broke his ankle when he was in high school playing in a pickup game.

    1. Agree with you on the discussion thread. However I do sympathize with the argument that Jeremy's world wide and rabid fans skewed the votes to him. After all China TV are making a new 30 part TV serial on his life.
ESPN wasn't really interested is finding out who New York loved the most, its just another attempt at generating controversies and hits on their website. Best to ignore the poll as fluff.

  27. "Jeremy Lin likely to sit vs. Orlando Magic"

    http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/ny-knicks-carmelo-anthony-expects-play-injury-jeremy-lin-sit-orlando-magic-article-1.1051759#ixzz1qNLgp8Eo

Darn. It sounds like he's going to sit out Wednesday. If he returns Friday against the Hawks, he'll have had 5 days to rest (and watch video).

Disappointing but probably the right move. He needs to be 100% for the playoffs and the big win yesterday gives them a little margin for error.
