I wonder what Keith Smart is thinking right now?

  1. i think lin is extra motivated for this game. time to get back at keith dumb for playing his guy last year and trying to get credit for lin's success.

  2. I give Coach Smart credit for this: he has been very gracious in his praise of Lin now.

And like Jeremy said, 20 or 30 things (including Smart not developing him in favor of Acie Law), for him to have the opportunity with the Knicks that he has seized.

  3. Jlin hugged Keith Smart at the start of the game. Very classy.

  4. Lin to Keith Smart: "Look at my now!" in Chris Brown tune

  5. I'm going to be teh first to say it. Lin won't score more than 20 in this game (breaking the streak)but the way he's passing, it is phenomenal.

  6. for a pg, creating opportunities for your teammates is more better than scoring points. the points are still good though. :)

  7. Keith smart is saying "YES, I broke his 20 pt scoring streak!"

  8. Keith Smart probably doesn't realize that Lin just stuck it to him with those career high 13 assists, the tough Knicks defense, the 51% team shooting, the bench clearing blowout victory, and Lin sitting down for good in the 3rd quarter. Once again, Lin administered another major league beatdown.

I am sure all of this went through Lin's mind while none of this went through Smart's.

  9. Smart talks about how Lin wasn't going to start over Curry or Ellis. He deflects the real issue that us Lin fan/believers known all along, that Acie Law was inept as a backup and Lin never got a shot to play backup point guard. Sure, Acie has NBA experience but his stats was horrendous. HORRENDOUS for his minutes that he was out there.

  10. If you watch the postgame interview with Jeremy for tonight's game, he gets asked about his D-League stints and I think his answer was a slight jab at Smart. He specifically mentions that Musselman allowed him to play through his mistakes and gave him time to develop his confidence and learn, things Smart obviously NEVER did.

When Lin played well Smart would still give him scant minutes or DNPs, he would make one mistake and he'd be back in the D-League or DNPed. He was in a lose-lose situation under Smart.

  11. I'm proud to have JLin on Knicks. At last there's an Asian that is probably shines as NBA superstar. Though Yao is there but the miracle of Jlin can be the best for an Asian cager.

  13. Jeremy Lin is proving to be a lucky charm for the Knick's 7 straight wins in a row, and the best part is another career high for the Knick's star Jeremy Lin for more on post game interview and the highlights of the games against the Sacramento Kings refer to http://liveoncampus.com/wire/show/3176909.

  14. J Lin is a much bigger, much stronger, version of Steve Nash. If Lin decides he wants to get bigger or stronger in the same way Michael Jordan did after dealing with the Detroit Pistons, look the f out.

    1. Mark Cuban had some nice comments about Lin, but he also specifically mentioned about how much hard work Nash put in over the years to get to all star status (i. e. hard work after initial phase of Linsanity)

    2. There is no longer any question about whether Lin, who didn't get a single Division I scholarship offer, is good enough to play in the NBA. The question is whether he will be a great NBA point guard.

"We'll see," Cuban said. "The question with every rookie isn't, 'Where are you at?' It's, 'What's your makeup to get better?'

"[There are] a lot of comparisons to Steve Nash. Everybody was booing Nash [early in his tenure in Dallas]. Everybody thought he was a mistake because he just showed flashes and wasn't consistent. But Nashie worked his ass off and we see where he is today, 90 years later. Jeremy has that kind of makeup, too, but you never know."

  15. Jeremy focused on getting touches for his teammates. Scoring was not a priority since his team was shooting well. He only took 6 shots (and made 4). Not that he couldn't score 20+, he chose not to. A real team player!
