it couldn't have worked out better. playing in new york as the starting pg for the knicks. this is new york and the knicks we're talking about here, everybody will soon know lin.
Every coach or gm who rejected Lin based on his looks should be immediately fired on the.spot.
The scary thing is that most of us here were able to recognize Lin's NBA dominance BEFORE he had the two breakout games. There's a mountain of statistical evidence to show Lin's excellence, and we don't even have access to all the stats. We're not like the idiot college coaches and NBA GMs who look at Lin's ethnicity and wrongfully assume he cannot possibly be a good basketball player.
The "look test" is the worst measure of a person's worth. That is the case not just in basketball, especially for Asian men.
D'Antoni's post-game comments. He gives his reasons for not playing him earlier in the season at the very end. "Can't Finish, Can't Shoot, Can't Play Defense." C'mon just admit you were wrong.
But you can tell by the tone of his voice, he is admitting " I am a dumbass and I was wrong." My take, JLin can finish, can Dfence, but his shooting stroke is not polished, especially long range with someone in his face.
I love Lin and all, but you can't possibly say that Lin is going to be a Dwaydne Wade type of player. First of all, they both play different positions. Second of all, Wade is producing his numbers with two other superstars. As of now, Lin is a good point guard, not a great one yet. For now you can say that he is more like Rajon Rondo. Obviously Rajon Rondo is definitely the elite point guard, since he can go left and finish left handed. The only advantage Lin has over Rondo is free throws. Other than that, Lin should definitely work on his left hand dribbling and finishing left handed. If you watched the highlights of his last 2 games, 95% of his layups were all right handed going from the right lane. So obviously once the opponent knows how to defend him, Lin's number will drop instantaneously. Once Lin improves on his left hand and become a better shooter, he will be a great point guard.
