NO, NOO...are you kidding me?? Is this some sort of joke?? Man, if this is true, I'm going go nuts!! Been waiting for this moment since the early part of the season. Boy, this is cause for celebration!!!!! :) I'm going to buy a Warriors JLin jersey today! :)Thanks for the update!
Bring up Musselman? Someone who values what Lin brings to the table?
Looks like Jeremy gets the last laugh as he hit that 3 pointer in the closing seconds of the last game, and now to see Smart going out the door. Smart should be charged for fraud for impersonating a coach and having a surname that is false advertising.
Here's an article about potential coaches for the Warriors:http://www.mercurynews.com/top-stories/ci_17940442Hopefully they'll get someone who is balanced on offense and defense, and won't give biased treatment to certain players (like Monta).
Actual news is great news indeed. I don't expect Lin to get a whole lotta minutes, but at least consistent playing time if he's playing well. If not, then the bench. I guess that's the definition of being fair and impartial.
A little bit of topic. Visited the Bighorns site recently. Too bad they got knocked out of the playoffs. If Jeremy had been able to rejoin them, I have no doubt they would playing for the championship this Friday. Musselman would have gotten serious consideration for W's coach. Alas, woulda, coulda, shoulda.
Steinmetz: Breaking down Warriors roster ... Who stays? Who goes? http://www.csnbayarea.com/05/06/11/bSteinmetzb-Breaking-down-Warriors-roste/landing_steinmetz_v3.html?blockID=518051&feedID=5882
"Lin showed dramatic improvement from the beginning of the season to the end, which was encouraging. And it looks for sure that Lin is in the Warriors' future plans. The question is: Can Lin improve enough to be the team's first point guard off the bench next year?"wow, Steinmetz had something positive to say about Lin? That's when you know that Lin really did improve, when a hater acknowledges it. The fact that Steinmetz is considering the possibility that Lin could be the first PG off the bench is a 180 from his stance earlier in the season.Too bad the second half of the season was wasted. Once the Warriors were out of contention, instead of developing the younger players like Lin, Smart desperately focused on getting useless wins."Law saw more playing time than he should have. Bottom line: If Law is on the Warriors and any kind of factor in 2011-12, something went wrong."LOL
I wonder what could've been if JLin decided to sign with the Mavs this season. He could be on a championship team, albeit a bench player. But still, he might get a ring.
I also wonder what the Lakers are thinking. I have the Warriors v Mavs recorded. Despite limited playing time, JLin showed he can effectively defend players like Barrea and Terry of the Mavs. My recordings didn't show him going against Kidd much but I'm sure he could guard him as well. All the Lakers could do against Barrea was show poor sportsmanship.
