Yes, because Law is injured, and Lin has proven himself. Expect him to be hesitant with his shot, until he makes his first. This back and forth thing can affect people's confidence in their shot, Do I deserve to be in the NBA, or not? Yes Lin, you need to have faith and believe in yourself. Represent!
Yeah, Monta will play more minutes, unless Lin embraces his dreams to be a NBA star performer. I think we all believe he can, because he has done it at Harvard, in the D-League, and he's clutch. I don't care if you hit 10 threes in a row like Keith Van Horn, Game time is when it counts. I like Lin's imagination displayed on a couple scoring drives at Reno. It shows he is on the right track.
I meant how people in practice, shoot lights out, but don't do it at the end of the game. Keith Van Horn, the great Utah hype. I'm sure there's better examples.
If you look at the minutes Monta played for this team this year that is insane! He has a good 1000 minutes over any other player. You do not see that happening on any other team even the ones that are worse than us.
Here's hoping to see JLin once during these last few games. And just make Smart look stupid for not playing him the last few times!
Marcus Thompson II tweet says Biedrens out for two game road trip, so unless Charlie Bell suits up over Lin, I guess he should at least be supposedly active for the game.
"Still, some are concerned about Law's increased minutes affecting Curry. The second-year guard's minutes are down to 33.4 per game this season (he averaged 38.9 the final four months of last season). Curry has watched many crucial fourth quarters from the bench, which perhaps deprives him of needed experience." Some sources speculate whether the relationship between Smart and Curry is steady or not.
Here's an interesting comment from the previous game. This makes it sound as if Monta insisted on playing all 48 minutes, and wouldn't let Smart take him out. Which makes Monta a fool too, because if Monta wanted to help the team, it would be far more beneficial to allow the younger players to get some valuable game time, rather than risk injury to yourself.
"[Monta] is committed to turning this franchise around," Smart said. "I really believe that he is doing everything he can to move us in the right direction. I don't want to play him those kinds of minutes, but he's trying to set a tone for our team."
Law is out of the rest of the season. His stock is at an all-time high after having his best stretch of games (3 i think) before getting hurt. But if you look at the entire season, he only gave the Warriors about 5-7 good games out of 50+ appearances. It will be interesting to see if the Warriors offer him a contract during the off-season.
My gosh, pardon my language, but Keith Smart is a complete dip****. The team is already out of the playoffs; the Warriors need to expose Lin to quality point guards like Russell Westbrook if they really do intend to keep him and develop him for the future. Man I really hope to see Smart get fired.
If they do resign Smart to coach next year, expect to see Curry, Ellis, and some other key players demanding to be traded to another team. Smart is like the captain of the Titanic at this point in the season, but even he won't admit the ship is sinking.
JLin won't get any minutes this game or next. They should not have called him back from the D-League to sit on the bench every game. This yo-yo act back and forth from the Reno Bighorns has really screwed up his development.
Yea man I agree with you Whitman, especially Curry. Like I said tension is clearly present between Curry and Smart. Going back to Jeremy, it almost feels like they purposely want Lin to fail......sheesh
Perhaps Warriors should have Career Scrub Night, featuring Dumbo, Law, and Radmanovich, before they are all sent off to the Latvian Basketball Association.
"We did everything we could to guard two hot players -- two very, very good players in Westbrook and Durant, of course," Warriors coach Keith Smart said.
Yeah, you tried everything... except, oh, using the best two defensive guards on your team (Lin and Bell)?
Signature Smart move: playing the starters 49, 48, 48, 47, 39 minutes in a meaningless game after the team has already been officially eliminated from the playoffs. That is sheer brilliance.
Smart is desperately trying to win as many of the remaining games as possible. So that he can show the next team that under his guidance he the Warriors win record improved slightly. Maybe that will be enough to convince a bad NBA (Or European) franchise to hire him.
He cares nothing about the health of the players or the future development of the rookies. He's only trying to win for his own sake.
At this point, the team probably hates him to the point of mutiny.
Administrator, please post my comments! Is this a Mainland Chinese board? I do have the right to my opinions, correct? You do believe in free speech, right? I take the time to read this site frequently and do have interesting insight whether you agree or not. Others were able to post their opinions without prejudice and some of them were speculative as well. Is it because I hit pretty close to home or the truth? Please grow some basket"balls."
lol @ andy 'mainland china board'. Actually far from it, if this were mainland China, and something you said got censored, I would move out the country before the authorities show up and detain you for 10 years in seclusion
My prediction is active but no minutes.
ReplyDeleteDNP: Coach's decision
ReplyDeleteno and no. you should know better jlinfan1.
ReplyDeleteyes and yes look forward to the game!!
ReplyDeleteNo, Coach Smart will play Monta Ellis 48 minutes a game on a back to back road trip. Even when it's a blowout loss.
ReplyDeleteYes, because Law is injured, and Lin has proven himself. Expect him to be hesitant with his shot, until he makes his first. ReplyDeleteIt's looking like a DNP-CD for JLin today...

Yeah, but he was recalled to sign autographs during Asian Appreciation Night (Washington Wizards game).
ReplyDeletePlus, if Lin does well, it makes Dumbo and the front office look bad.
Can't have that happen.
Perhaps Warriors should have Career Scrub Night, featuring Dumbo, Law, and Radmanovich, before they are all sent off to the Latvian Basketball Association.
ReplyDelete:)
Warrior's bench: 13 points.
ReplyDeleteLmao.
Gosh man SERIOUSLY?! Four of the Warriors starters played basically all 48 minutes in the game.
ReplyDeleteGot to count OT. So they didn't play all 48 they played most of it. Serious development alright :p
