get used to it. acie law will always be in no matter how great lin played. law smart's boy. i'll come back when law is injured again or is gone and lin can get some mins again.
Acie Law was ridiculous. I swear if Jeremy was in the Ws wouldn't have lost by such a huge margin.. his defensive legs can keep up with the speed that Boston plays with. Who knows, maybe he could've even shifted the momentum in the Warriors' favor...
Fact: While Acie Law was out with his injury, the Warriors played their best basketball of the season, beating Chicago, Denver, OK City, New Orleans, Utah. The Warriors finally figured out a way to leverage their bench, and also started playing good defense.
Most people's conclusion: The Warriors play better without Law. They are the most effective using their entire bench, even Bell and Lin.
Keith Smart's conclusion: Boy, if we can this well without Law, imagine how great we'll be when Law comes back. We'll probably make the playoffs!
Fact: Law was 1-7 fg tonight
Most people's reaction: ugh, terrible game!
Keith Smart's reaction: only 1 TO in 24 minutes? now that's what I'm talking about!
I was so close to buying NBA League Pass broadband after last week... so glad I didn't. I really hope that Law's wrist heals fully quickly so that they don't need to keep Lin on the inactive roster as insurance. Send him back to D League so that he can continue to progress under Musselman and gain league wide exposure. Then maybe another team that needs his skills can acquire him.
Smart must be in denial. It's good that he realizes he needs to use his bench, but he seems to think that throwing *anybody* in will work. Who knows, maybe he was just trying to see if the chemistry was there. I get the feeling he'll play Law a lot more [and definitely ahead of Lin] now that he's healthy. If anything, Lin is learning a ton of patience and humility being yanked in every conceivable direction. Yea, it stinks development-wise, but I think it just pushes him to work even harder when he has opportunities and not to take things for granted. I think at the end of the day he is going to have a fierce work-ethic and it will show on the court regardless of whatever team he plays for.
"That position is too important on the defensive end," one Eastern Conference scout said. "A point guard can break down an entire defense. If you can't hold your own on that end, it creates all kinds of problems. I just don't see how he'll be able to defend as a starter." http://www.mercurynews.com/sports/ci_17440135?source=rss&nclick_check=1
Let's see, Acie Law can't shoot, can't defend, but he doesn't turn the ball over.

The incompetent coaching of this Warriors team is holding JLin back. He may even be regressing, sitting on the bench for a team that doesn't play defense. In the D-League his improvement was off the charts, because he was getting minutes.
He is not getting any better staying on the bench as insurance or being a practice dummy in team drills.
So if this trade for TMurphy goes through, that will leave the W's with 13 players right? If BWright and Gadz leave for just Murphy. With Amundson injured that should at least mean Lin will suit up each night right?
Since Smart is liable to play Acie Law as long as he thinks there's an inkling of a playoff chance, perhaps the best thing is for Lin to go back to the D-League one more time and come back up when the Warriors are completely out of it, which will be soon. Unfortunately, if Amundson is still hurt, they'd probably keep Lin on the bench.
The best place for Jeremy Lin is with the LA Clippers now that Baron Davis is traded. With Griffin and Gordon, it's a young team that Lin can grow with.
Clippers would be fine with me too. Mo Williams is a small pg and Lin would be a good complement. At this point, just about anywhere, including D-League would be fine with me.
Jeremy needs to be traded if he wants to keep playing in the NBA. Warriors is his favorite team ,but not his kind of team he should play in.It is just not suitable for him.
announcers mentioned that the warrior's bench played a huge role in their recent wins. they mentioned everyone on the bench EXCEPT lin. go figures. i would bet lin won't be suited up tonight. and if he is, smart would try anything to not play lin
@anonymous: I thought you were done with the Warriors. =)
LOL, they had no choice but make Lin active since they had net loss of 1 player from the trade. Not sure if Murphy are Adrien are ready to go tonight yet.
Jeremy not suited up. Acie Law is and so is Charlie Bell. no comment.
ReplyDeleteso far curry got 2 fouls already so theres high chance jlin gonna play today

ReplyDeletelin just got traded to la for shannon brown!!
ReplyDeleteJust as we had suspected .... Jeremy Lin is put on the inactive list for a 75% AC Law who just came back from injury.
ReplyDeleteReally Coach Smart ? These past 3 games have shown nothing about JLin's game .... really ?
LOL@ everyone complaining about acie law on goldenstateofmind

Looks like Smart has found his man.

ReplyDelete@NEMESYS - I think you are right. That would be a great team for Jeremy to build PG creds with some good hands to pass to for high assists.
ReplyDeleteClippers would be fine with me too. Mo Williams is a small pg and Lin would be a good complement. At this point, just about anywhere, including D-League would be fine with me.
ReplyDeleteOnly thing left to hope for is that Smart does seem to play Lin more on the road. It would be fun to see him get in against John Wall next Weds.

ReplyDeletei see lin's name on the roster so i guess he would be suited up. that means the warriors announcers are just bias bastards like everyone else
