the one d league commentator eathan is so anti-jlin it's not funny. anytime the other guy mentions jeremy to try and talk about him a little, he makes it a point to completely ignore it.
Me too - I am watching from NY area. As I said in my comments from the last post, JLin will sell a lot of NBA League Pass subscriptions. Hopefully they will not charge for Futurecast while he is in D-League.
they need to reallocate bandwidth from the other games to the Reno game so we can all watch it. I turned it on for 1 minute at max quality and it worked fine, damn servers!
where did they get this "Ethan" character? sounds like some guy in a bus i met who couldn't stop talking to me about what life even though i tried to not make eye contact with the lunatic.
I give up trying to watch it live. I'm going to watch it tomorrow with the MUTE on. I wish they had NBATV commentators for every game instead of these reno homers. It would definitely bring more class to the D-League and maybe change people's perception of it being a joke.
8:06 is why I feel bad for jlin sometimes. his every play gets nitpicked. he is 3/5 freethrows tonight, that's not anything ridiculous for a guy who shoots 75% average. geez
These guys are so biased. "Sloan comes in and Lin leaves, I'll say that is a very strategic substitution at this time." They rarely compliment Lin, although he IS the best player on the team. Please fire them - they have a beef!!
The way the commentators talk about Lin, it's like he is on opposing team each night.
Legends seem like a really good team, just like Tulsa (first game Lin played in where they also opened up a big lead in second quarter, but game tightened up in second half).
I believe two of the Legends players are also top prospects for call up to NBA so they are a good team.
none of the guys' shooting % are great. but lin is breaking the defense down by continuing to drive pass his man into the lane allowing his guys to follow up shots. his defense tonight is great and also rebounding like a big man. ft's though needs to be better.
Lin's dribble penetration in fourth quarter is what is getting Big Horns offense going again. Donald Sloan eventually made shot, but Lin's penetration is opening stuff up for everyone else.
the reason the commentators are sloan's homers are because they hate lin. they just don't want lin to succeed. two of the three shots sloan made was assisted by lin.
I miss the NBA TV announcers. Did the Reno announcer say he wants to see anyone hold the ball but Lin? *Then Lin does a nice pass to Sloan but gets no credit only how great Sloan is*
Wow, Lin's having a great point guard, as a leader, establishing good offensive looks with dribble penetration, that block and dish for shot by Strawberry that was blocked.
Won't show up on box score, but this has got to be a great fourth quarter for him, in terms of his development as point guard, and as leader of the Big Horns!
Good game JLin. His free throws were a bit off today, but still they won. I'm surprised though by the attendance: 3637 since regularly they have only 1-2k people if you check past games. Don't know if this relates Texas coming in or Jeremy Lin but its a good sign more people recognize JLin now.
This is my last post about the commentators. Have realized that Lin's NBA contract is equal to everyone else, including the commentators, combined. It's just a jealousy thing. I suppose I would gripe in that situation as well.
Agree the commentators are biased. That said, the one point I will give them is Jeremy hasn't reached full speed with his game yet. He could have gone for 30 easily tonight. I believe he will average 25 plus once he gets settled.
JLin and Landry are the best scorers on the team by far. If he gets 25-30 minutes, he will get his points. I like that he's using his left more in the last couple games. Also he's looking to set up other players for open shots. Hopefully we'll see a double-double soon!
The FT problem is due to lack of concentration and mostly fatique. I don't think it's anything to worry about in the long run.
the one d league commentator eathan is so anti-jlin it's not funny. anytime the other guy mentions jeremy to try and talk about him a little, he makes it a point to completely ignore it.
ReplyDeleteis anyone elses future cast delayed???
ReplyDeleteYeah, mine is delayed. Also, it's freezing up often.
ReplyDeleteyea same, damn d league
ReplyDeleteME too...i think its cause too many people are watching the game on futurecast.
ReplyDeletemannnnn, waited all day to watch the game, and now the future casts being a bitch
ReplyDeleteI think there are too many Asian people trying to watch and overloading the server. My brother and I are having problems with Futurecast in NYC.
ReplyDeleteMe too - I am watching from NY area. As I said in my comments from the last post, JLin will sell a lot of NBA League Pass subscriptions. Hopefully they will not charge for Futurecast while he is in D-League.
ReplyDeletelame
ReplyDeletethe other live games seem to be working fine though. Anyone have the Reno game working yet?
ReplyDeleteStop freezing... I can't watch the game!
ReplyDeletelol look at the crowd! seats almost filled up
ReplyDeleteIt keeps repeating.
ReplyDelete"All three of the are wha"
marcus landry on fire
ReplyDeleteDamn Asians! They're bringing the servers down! NBA, sell some advertising and bring in more servers! Profit to be made here!
ReplyDeletethey need to reallocate bandwidth from the other games to the Reno game so we can all watch it. I turned it on for 1 minute at max quality and it worked fine, damn servers!
ReplyDeleteYo, everyone, get off the 'net so I can watch the game. I'll keep you posted here.
ReplyDeletewhere did they get this "Ethan" character? sounds like some guy in a bus i met who couldn't stop talking to me about what life even though i tried to not make eye contact with the lunatic.
ReplyDeleteasian pride is killing me!
ReplyDeletelol my streams just repeating the nbdl logo now =/
ReplyDeleteI give up trying to watch it live. I'm going to watch it tomorrow with the MUTE on. I wish they had NBATV commentators for every game instead of these reno homers. It would definitely bring more class to the D-League and maybe change people's perception of it being a joke.
ReplyDeleteok everyone get off now except me
ReplyDeleteme too, I give up trying to watch the game with that NBA logo. I hope the d-league fixes this problem next game.
ReplyDeletewell you can "watch" the play by play here:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.nba.com/dleague/games/20110115/TEXRNO/gameinfo.html?ls=gt2hp2021000174
play by play stuck on 52-39 anyone?
ReplyDeleteNow only score is working - 64 to 43.
ReplyDeletewhoa, Jeremy's free throw shooting is off.
ReplyDeleteHalftime stats:
ReplyDelete13 pts
5-10 fg-fga
3-5 ft-fta
3 rebs
3 assists
3 steals
Also:
ReplyDelete17 min.
+22
three steals in a few mins, nice
ReplyDelete8:06 is why I feel bad for jlin sometimes. his every play gets nitpicked. he is 3/5 freethrows tonight, that's not anything ridiculous for a guy who shoots 75% average. geez
ReplyDeleteGame video back up, for now.
ReplyDeletelol they say capitalize the 13 footer
ReplyDeleteFuturecast feed is working for me now after 10 minutes of the seeing the logo
ReplyDeleteplay by play says Jeremy is 4 for 9 in free throws in the first half.
ReplyDeletethat includes some of the third quarter. lin shot 3/5 in the first half. he shot one technical foul (missed) and 2 sets of two (1/2, 2/2)
ReplyDeleteThese guys are so biased. "Sloan comes in and Lin leaves, I'll say that is a very strategic substitution at this time." They rarely compliment Lin, although he IS the best player on the team. Please fire them - they have a beef!!

Again, JLin causes a turn-over and the announcers credit that to karma!
ReplyDeletei think lin should be wearing a pink headband too! where's your team spirits man?
ReplyDeletehaha 2 compliments toward lin by the announcers
ReplyDeletelol I heard those too, maybe he's winning them over
ReplyDeletejlin having a subpar shooting night overall, but playing solid and helping the team in other ways (6 reb 5 ast 4 stl 1 to)
ReplyDeletelin makes a great drive. analysis says "that's the difference when you don't have shawn williams there" lol
ReplyDeletenone of the guys' shooting % are great. but lin is breaking the defense down by continuing to drive pass his man into the lane allowing his guys to follow up shots. his defense tonight is great and also rebounding like a big man. ft's though needs to be better.

ReplyDeletegod i hate these commentators. is it bad to wish they both get chronic diarrhea?
ReplyDeleteLin's dribble penetration in fourth quarter is what is getting Big Horns offense going again. Donald Sloan eventually made shot, but Lin's penetration is opening stuff up for everyone else.

ReplyDeleteWhat is that commentator's name again? I think it is Eat-Hams. Give him some more gelato. Maybe he'll be quiet.
ReplyDeletelin with a great block. pushes the other way with a good pass. lin is getting to the basket AT WILL
ReplyDeletewhat a block by lin and run up the court to dish it out. Lin played with alot of confidence tonight however he needs to improve his free throws.
ReplyDeletethat was a sick block....
ReplyDeleteand lol at lin being the only player checking to see if charlo's good after the collision
Wow, Lin's having a great point guard, as a leader, establishing good offensive looks with dribble penetration, that block and dish for shot by Strawberry that was blocked.
ReplyDeleteWon't show up on box score, but this has got to be a great fourth quarter for him, in terms of his development as point guard, and as leader of the Big Horns!
would like it if he utilizes those short jumpers more often. would be unpredictable and very effective in the nba level
ReplyDeletegood move by musselman to take Lin out. This is a rugged game. I like the way he manages the game.
ReplyDeleteyeah this 4th quarter is the most and best drive and dish passing by lin ive seen, really great sign, shame it wont show up in the box score
ReplyDeleteI bet Eathan's nickname is "Eat.." lol
ReplyDeletealso noticed lin is yet to lead a game in scoring, not that its a bad thing. it does show how consistent lin is though
ReplyDeleteGood game JLin. His free throws were a bit off today, but still they won. I'm surprised though by the attendance: 3637 since regularly they have only 1-2k people if you check past games. ReplyDeleteAgree the commentators are biased. That said, the one point I will give them is Jeremy hasn't reached full speed with his game yet. He could have gone for 30 easily tonight. I believe he will average 25 plus once he gets settled.
ReplyDeletehe's still the top scorer (average) for the games he's been in reno
ReplyDeleteJLin and Landry are the best scorers on the team by far. If he gets 25-30 minutes, he will get his points. I like that he's using his left more in the last couple games. Also he's looking to set up other players for open shots. Hopefully we'll see a double-double soon!

Jeremy Lin will not succeed in next level if he does not have the mid range jump shot. People will just sag off of him and dare him to shoot it.
