According to a Matt Steinmetz's tweet, it looks like JLin will be back with the Reno Bighorns this week. Here is the schedule for his Showcase games at South Padre Island, Texas:
Wednesday 1/12/11 2:30pm ET Reno vs Maine on NBA TV
Thursday 1/13/11 2:45pm ET Reno vs Sioux City on NBA TV
This is a very important event, as scouts from all 30 NBA teams will be in attendance. With Jeremy's future with the Warriors seemingly in doubt, it's imperative that he performs well. It's clear that Coach Smart isn't sure if Jeremy Lin is an NBA caliber player. I have watched every single minute of all of his NBA games and D League games. To me, Jeremy's defense is above the NBA ready level. He is leading the whole NBA in steals per 48 minutes and blocks per 48 minutes (all guards), even in limited minutes. This backs up what I can see with my own eyes. I believe that offensively, he is not quite at a legit NBA level yet. His ball handling as well as his decision making needs to improve. These two things can be worked on during the season and in the off season. In my mind, he is not too far off but just needs the opportunity to work and improve his game at the pro level. I believe that Joe Lacob and his son see this. It will be very interesting to see how the rest of this season unfolds.
